Preceded in death by her husband, Robert N. McNew and son, Clyde F. McNew. Survivors include: granddaughters, Frances Lowery, Montana Brown both of Harriman; grandsons, Bill McNew of Harriman, Brandon King of US Navy; sisters, Ruth Westcott of Harriman, Bea Lindsey of Kentucky, Ann Roberts of Harriman; daughter-in-law, Lavenia McNew of Harriman. Emogene Haskins, age 77, of Sweetwater, passed away on Monday, November 4, 2002 at Cleveland Community Hospital after a brief illness. She attended the Forkner's Chapel United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Joe Haskins. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Rev. Troy Wilhelm of Randleman, NC; sons and daughter-in-law, Bill Haskins of Sweetwater, Wayne and Wanda Haskins of Millbrook, AL; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; brothers, Pete Austin of McDonald, TN, Elbert Austin of Cleveland, TN, George Austin of Sophia, NC, Albert Austin and Frank Austin both of Trinity, NC; sisters, Pauline Reed and Thelma Couch both of McDonald, TN, Mary Ruth Smith of Spring City, TN; several nieces and nephews. Ruby Irene Skinner Pettitt, age 89, of Sweetwater, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at the family home after a brief illness. She attended the Sweetwater Church of God and Sweetwater Outpost Mission. Retired at the age of 83 from Douglas-Cherokee Economic Authority-Senior Citizens Nutrition Program, after many years of service. Preceded in death by her husband, Isaac Benjamin Pettitt, grandson, Donnie R. Moore, several brothers and and one sister. Survivors include: daughters and sons-in-law: June and Bill Knowles of Philadelphia, Sandi and Marvin Burnette of Ten Mile; son and daughter-in-law, Rev. Robert "Bobby" and Reba Pettitt of Sweetwater; foster son, Jimmy Miler of Oak Ridge, TN; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Moore, Ruby Hinds, age 77 of Harriman passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2002 at Roane County Medical Center. Preceded in death by her husband, Grady D. Moore, parents, Taylor and Ida Hinds. She dedicated her life to her home and friends. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to all. Survivors include: daughter and son-in-law, Vivian and Jim Thomas of Harriman; granddaughter and spouse, Darlene and LaVern Payne of High Point, NC; grandson and spouse, Mike and Debbie Thomas of Harriman; sister and brother-in-law, Pauline and Gene Tate of Harriman; special friends and caretakers, Hazel Frederick of Harriman, Lisa Moore of Harriman; great-grandchildren, Joshua and David Payne of High Point, NC, Courtney, Ashley and Haley Thomas of Harriman. Storto, Annebelle, age 89 of Kingston passed away Thursday, November 7, 2002 at her home. A member of the Kingston United Methodist Church. She was a registered nurse. Earlier in life, she was active in Harriman Jaycettes and sang in Westchester County Community Chorus in New York, appearing with them several times at Carnegie Hall. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edna and Daniel Robison and sister, Grace E. Scofield. Survivors include: husband, Ed Storto of Kingston; daughter, Rev. Mary Margaret Blanchard of Kingston; son, William Barton Storto of Bremerton, Washington; sister, Genevieve Chambliss of Kingston; 3 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Monday at Kingston United Methodist Church with funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Reed Shell officiating. Honeycutt, Wade Hampton, age 76 of Harriman, Tennessee passed away Thursday, November 7, 2002 at his home. He was a member of South Harriman Baptist Church. He owned and operated Honeycutt Cleaners in Harriman for 26 years. He was a member of Southgate Lodge #569 and a past master of the Lodge. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite and Kerbela Temple and a Shriner of Kerbela Temple. He is preceded in death by his parents, Farrell and Tressie Honeycutt of Harriman. He is survived by his devoted wife of 51 years, Polly Valentine Honeycutt; loving daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and John Tharpe, Jr. of Knoxville; 2 grandsons, Derek and Bryan Tharpe of Knoxville; sister and brother-in-law, Maxine and Bud Cochran; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Rena Honeycutt of Ft. Preceded in death by her husband, James Elmore Powers; son, James Thomas Powers. Survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Jennings and Aileen Powers of Philadelphia; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Rogers of Sweetwater; 11 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; sister, Omia Davis of Sweetwater; several nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Sweetwater O.E.S. Lodge, the Sweetwater Valley Rebeccas Lodge #25. Former employee of the Lowery-Henshaw Clinic. Retired from Sweetwater Hospital, where she served as a LPN for many years of service. Preceded in death by her parents: Wilburn and Lennie Mae Black, husband, Harold K. Glaze; brother, J.E. Black. Survivors include: son and companion, James Glenn McNabb and Irene Melton of Columbia, SC; granddaughters and spouses, Ramona M. and Steve Sutton of Lenoir City, Susan L. and Randy Kirkland of Loudon; great-grandson, Jared Kirkland of Loudon; sister-in-law, Una Black of Chattanooga; special friend, Connie Johnson of Madisonville; several nieces and nephews. Retired from Rust Engineering with 23 years of service. Caretaker of Brown Cemetery. Preceded in death by his parents, James and Maude Colyer. Gene was a loving husband and father. Survivors include: wife, Daphene Colyer of Kingston; son, Mike Colyer of Decatur; son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Shelia Colyer of Ten Mile; brother, Bill Colyer of Kingston; sisters, Margaret Carroll of Lafollette, Pauline Jones of Georgia; Joanne Schubert of Rockwood; 4 granddaughters; 8 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
