Ms. Mary Will Oliver

Ms. Mary Will Oliver, age 76 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday December 3, 2003 at her home. Ms. Oliver was a native of Ardmore, Alabama and daughter of the late Ed and Pinkey Bland Hargrove. She was a member of the Church of Christ , retired from NHC Oakwood Healthcare as an LPN. She is survived by two daughters, Judy Lovett of Good Springs, Tennessee and Marie Minner of Franklin, Tennessee, two sons, Ed Oliver of Northport, Alabama and Randy Oliver of Lewisburg, six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Bee Springs Cemetery in Giles Co., Tennessee. The family will be at London Funeral Home Thursday, December 5, 2003 after 5:00 p.m. and Friday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements

Mrs. Thelma Hopkins
November 28, 2003
Mrs. Thelma Hopkins, age 93 of Cornersville, died Friday, November 28, 2003 in Sumner Regional Medical Center. Mrs. Hopkins was a native of Marshall Co., Tennessee and daughter of the late Carl and Lena Mae Young Burgess. She was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from Leonard's Hospital. Preceded in death by her husband, Allen Hopkins and son, Billy Hopkins, she is survived by one son, Bobby Hopkins of Westmoreland, Tennessee and daughter-in-law, Glenda Hopkins of the Robertson Fork Community, three grandsons, Darrin Hopkins, Steven Hopkins and Keith Hopkins, five great grandchildren, two step-grandsons, Bobby Smith and Chris Smith and three step-great grandchildren all of Watertown, Tennessee. Funeral services will be conducted by Don Hudson Sunday, November 30, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Cornersville Funeral Home with burial in Mars Hill Cemetery. The family will be at Cornersville Funeral Home Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday until the funeral hour for visitation. Cornersville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Jewell (Granny) Russell
November 26, 2003
Mrs. Jewell (Granny) Russell, age 93 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday, November 26, 2003 at her home. Mrs. Russell was a native of Carthage, Tennessee and daughter of the late Charles and Alma Cothern. She was co-owner and operator of the former Hi-Hat Restaurant for twenty years and the Catering Service at Heil-Quaker Corporation for twenty years. Mrs. Russell was a member of East Commerce Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, P.B. Russell, she is survived by one son, James Russell of Lewisburg, three grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted by James Hickey Friday, November 28, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday until the funeral hour for visitation. Serving as pallbearers, Richard Cothern, Jack Adams, Steve McPherson, David Allen, Tom Wright, Bryan Russell Storey, Blake Everett, and Trey Russell. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Stephania Kathryn Hippler
November 23, 2003
Mrs. Stephania Kathryn Hippler, age 88 of Cornersville, Tennessee, died Sunday in NHC (Oakwood) Healthcare. Mrs. Hippler was a native of Johnstown, Pennslyvania and daughter of the late David Trot and Emma Jane Stutzman Cartwright. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, George Woodrow Hippler in 1995, she is survived by two sons, George W. Hippler of Ocala, Florida and David C. Hippler of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio and daughter, Rebecca (Beckie) Steelman of the Diana Community, Tennessee, eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was, also, preceded in death by a sister, Salome Schaffer and two grandchildren, R.W. Steelman and Randy Warren Steelman. There will be no visitation at the funeral home. Mrs. Hippler's body will be cremated. A memorial service for Mr. and Mrs. Hippler will be conducted at 9:30 a.m. December 1, 2003 in Beechwood Cemetery where both of their cremains will be interred. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Clayton Kirby Murphy

Mr. Clayton Kirby Murphy, age 73 of Lewisburg, died Sunday, November 23, 2003 at his home. Mr. Murphy was a native of the Ralley Hill Community, Tennessee and son of the late William and Eliza Howse Murphy. He was retired from the City of Lewisburg and also, the Marshall County Board of Education in maintenance. He was a member of the Berean Baptist Church. Surviving is his wife, Elise Cawthron Murphy of Lewisburg, a daughter, Sherry Wilkerson of Marietta, Georgia, a son, Cliff Murphy of Marietta, Georgia, two step daughters, Joyce Thronhill and Patricia Shelton of Lewisburg, two sisters, Lucy Lockridge of Spring Hill and Geraldine Duvall of Ralley Hill, one brother, J.L. "Rooster" Murphy. Also, surviving are five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Horace Murphy and James Murphy. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in the Bethlehem Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Monday after 4:00 p.m. and Tuesday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Imogene Estes

Mrs. Imogene Estes, age 66 of Lewisburg, died Friday, November 21, 2003 in NHC (Merihil) Healthcare. Mrs. Estes was a native of Bedford Co., Tennessee and daughter of the late Jesse Ramos and Maggie Lou Beasley Sanders. She was retired from Sanford Corporation. Preceded in death by her husband, J.B. Estes and two brothers, Donald Sanders and Marvin Sanders, she is survived by two sons, John Estes and Richard Hargrove both of Lewisburg, one grandson and two step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Monday, November 24, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and Monday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Edna Gupton

Mrs. Edna Gupton, age 93 of Woodburn, Ky, formerly of the Mooresville Community, died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 in St. Thomas Hospital. Mrs. Gupton was a native of Maury Co., Tennessee and daughter of the late Edwin and Lillie Foster McKnight. She was retired from the Marshall Co. School System where she served as principal of the Mooresville School for many years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Preceded in death by her husband, R. V. Gupton, she is survived by two daughters, Kay Postins of Franklin, Kentucky and Patricia Foster of Atlanta, Georgia, five grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, November 22, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Bryant Cemetery in Mooresville. The family will be at London Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. and Saturday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

William Finley Davis

William Finley Davis, age 85 of Cornersville, died Wednesday November 19, 2003 at his home. Mr. Davis was a native of Marshall Co., Tennessee and son of the late William Marvin and Lillie Finley Davis. He was a WW 2 veteran and served as a Company Commander in the Tennessee National Guard, farmer, retired mail carrier, Director of Farmers Bank, Marshall Co. School Board Member, Planning Commission Member, graduate of Tennessee Tech where he participated on several sports teams and was an Elder of Ostella Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jenkins Davis of Cornersville, Tennessee, two daughters, Jacquline Davis-Kennean of Nashville, Tennessee and Melissa Davis of Cornersville, Tennessee one grandson, Jack Barns Davis Heath. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, November 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ostella Church of Christ with burial in New Hope Cemetery. The family will be at Cornersville Funeral Home Thursday after 3:00 p.m. and Friday until the funeral hour for visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Cornersville School Library. Cornersville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Timothy Lee Little

Mr. Timothy Lee Little, age 36 of Lewisburg, died Wednesday morning of November 12. Mr. Little was a native Marshall Co., Tennessee and son of the late William Ross Little and Mrs. Dona Cozart Yoes of the Wheel Community, Tennessee. He was self-employed in the construction business. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Cindy Rowe Little of Lewisburg, one son, Parker Stone Little and three daughters, Gracie Payton Little, Maggie  Taylor Bain and Chelsy Makay Bain, four sisters, Nancy Morton, Patsy Griffy, Carol Liggett, and Sandra Little and one brother, Danny Little, all of Lewisburg. He was preceded in death by a sister, Tammy Little and step-father, Lewis Yoes. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 1:00 p.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Whorley Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Friday, November 14 after 4:00 p.m. and Saturday, November 15 until the funeral hour for visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to a trust fund for his children at First Commerce Bank P.O. Box 1098 Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091. George Washington Stallings

George Washington Stallings, Jr., age 82 of the Robertson Fork Community, Tennessee died Sunday, November 9, 2003 in Marshall Medical Center. Mr. Stallings was a native of Marshall Co., Tennessee and son of the late George Washington, Sr. and Jennie Chapman Stallings. He was retired from Burgett Motor Company and was an Elder of Robertson Fork Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife Harriette Hoge Stallings of Robertson Fork, two daughters, Amelia Pettes of Cornersville, Tennessee and Mary Ann Hickman of Lynnville, Tennessee, two sisters, Edna Earl Hickman and Ruth Holder both of Robertson Fork, six grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, November 12, 2003 at 11:00 a.m. from Robertson Fork Church of Christ with burial in Lynnwood Cemetery. The family will be at Cornersville Funeral Home Tuesday after 4:00 p.m. for visitation. Cornersville Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Paul Thomas Webb

Mr. Paul Thomas Webb, age 65 of Lewisburg, died Sunday morning at Marshall Medical Center. Mr. Webb was a native of Maury Co., Tennessee and son of the late Homer and Laura Etta Tankersley Webb. He owned and operated Webb Insurance Agency and was the minister of Campbell Station Church of Christ. He is survived by his wife, Doris Tyree Webb of Lewisburg, four daughters, Nancy Doggett of Beech Hill Community, Tennessee, Leanne Doss and Kim  Taylor both of Lewisburg and Laura Whitsett of Nashville, Tennessee, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Lone Oak Cemetery. The family will be at London Funeral Home Monday after 3:00 p.m. and Tuesday until the funeral hour for visitation. London Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Lisa Lynn Jenkins

Lisa Lynn Jenkins, age 45 of Lewisburg, died Friday at her home. Mrs. Jenkins was a native of Bedford Co., Tennessee and daughter of Lytle Ray Barrett of Lascassas Community in Rutherford Co., TN and the late Betty Lynn Parton Barrett. She owned and operated the former Catnip Gift Shop in Lewisburg for several years and, presently, was employed by H&S Pharmacy #1. In addition to her father, she is survived by her husband, Dr. Bruce Jenkins of Lewisburg, two brothers, Phillip (Gwen) Barrett of Christiana, Tennessee and Russ (Renee') Barrett of Lascassas Community, one niece, Heather Barrett and three nephews, Andrew Barrett, Logan Barrett and Noah Barrett. She was preceded in death by a brother, David Barrett. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. from the Chapel of London Funeral Home with burial in Milton Cemetery in Eastern Rutherford Co., Tennessee. The family will be at London Funeral Home Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral hour for visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the City of Lewisburg Beautification Fund 131 East Church St. Lewisburg, Tennessee 37091 or A.L.S. of Middle Tennessee 330 Franklin Road Suite 135 A-240 Brentwood, Tennessee 37027.
