Jan. 28, 1924 – May 11, 2001
WAXAHACHIE – Graveside services for Mary Lee Campbell, 77, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2001 at Hillcrest Burial Park with Paul O’Rear of College Street Church of Christ officiating.
Born on Jan. 28, 1924 in Waxahachie, the daughter of Robert Angus Hobson and Mary Roberts, she passed away May 11, 2001 at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas.
Preceded in death by her husband W.R. (D.I.) Campbell, son W.R. (Bob) Campbell and brother Robert Angus Jr.; she is survived by daughters Cindy Fancher and Charlotte Reed of Midlothian; and daughter-in-law Susan Campbell and her children Kate Campbell and Collin Campbell of Bullard.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Boze-Mitchell Funeral Home in Waxahachie.

Howard Jay Patterson
Jan. 21, 1949 – May 20, 2001
KEMP – Funeral services for Howard Jay Patterson, 52 of Kemp, were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 23, 2001 at Green Funeral Home with Rev. Jonathan Smith and Brandy M. Miller officiating.
Born on Jan. 21, 1949 in Dallas, the son of Howard and Ruby O. Salach Patterson, he passed away May 20, 2001 in Wilmer.
|Preceded in death by his father; he is survived by his wife Kathy Patterson of Kemp; mother Ruby Salach Patterson of Wilmer; daughters and sons-in-law Kerrie Gowin and Robert of Palmer, Kristie Patterson of Ferris and Brandy Miller and Lyle of Lancaster; sisters Betty Slater of Frost, Phyllis Slough of Wilmer and Claudine Lenamond of Forney; brothers Billy Patterson of Scurry, Bobby Patterson of Wilmer and Earl Patterson of Wilmer and friend Prissy Patterson of Kemp.
Pallbearers were Billy Patterson Jr., Scott Hill, Pat Masterson, Robert Gowin, Wayne Osteen and Lyle Miller.
Interment followed in the Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Bobby D. Baker Sr.
Nov. 15, 1936 – May 20, 2001
KAUFMAN – Funeral services for Bobby D. Baker Sr., 64 of Kaufman, were held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2001 in the First Baptist Church in Kaufman with Rev. Al Prier officiating.
Born on Nov. 15, 2936 in Avalon, he passed away May 20, 2001 at his residence.
|Preceded in death by his father Charlie Earl Baker, mother Mary Etta Scott and brother Charlie Marshall Baker; he is survived by his wife of 42 years Carlene Longino Baker of Kaufman; three sons and daughters-in-law Bobby D. Baker Jr. and Valerie of Garland, Marty Baker and Sheila of Terrell and Brian Baker and Jennifer of Garland; sister Shirley Robison of Ranger; and six grandchildren Marty Jr., Brittany, Bethany, Chad, Benjamin and Lydia.
Interment followed in the Roselawn Memorial Park in Seagoville under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Madgelene Ray Daniel Smith
Feb. 27, 1912 - Nov. 30, 2001
FERRIS - Graveside services for Madgelene Ray Daniel Smith, of Ferris, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001 at Ferris Memorial Park North.
Born Feb. 27, 1912 in Palmer, the daughter of Cleveland Wilson and Birdie Staton Daniel, she was married to W. Joe Smith, Sr. in 1937.
She was retired from Sears and Roebuck Co.
A member of Bristol Church of Christ and lifetime resident of Ferris, she passed away Nov. 30, 2001.
Her great-grandchildren represent the sixth generation of Ferris residents in her family.
Preceded in death by her husband, she is survived by her children W. Joe Smith, Jr. and wife Laura of Rockett and Joanna Smith Dunn and her husband Billy D. Dunn of Ferris; grandchildren Bradley Daniel Dunn of Austin, Lisa Smith Duran and husband Junior Duran of Ferris, Keith Weston Dunn of Ferris, Jennifer Smith and Allison Smith of Rockett; and three great-grandchildren Kathryne Dunn of Red Oak and Denise and Madison Duran both of Ferris.
Funeral arrangements were under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.

Mary "Cissy" Evelyn Mahone
April 10, 1946 – Nov. 30, 2001
WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Mary "Cissy" Evelyn Mahone, 55 of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 3, 2001 in the Red Oak Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Gary Bronson officiating.
Born April 10, 1946 in Waxahachie, the daughter of Oran Coffey and Wanda Smith, she passed away Nov. 30, 2001 in Irving.
She is survived by her mother Wanda Coffey of Waxahachie; daughters Mary Drake of Midlothian, Kelley Cirilo of Red Oak and Sharon McFalls of Red Oak; brothers Olan Glynn Coffey of Maypearl and Phillip Coffey of Leonard; sisters Glenda Hall of Waxahachie, Lisa Dickett of Red Oak and Teresa Edwards of Waxahachie; and five grandchildren.
Interment followed in the Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster under the direction of Red Oak Funeral Home, Berdon Byrum.

Dorothy Holder
May 27, 1913 – Dec. 1, 2001
WAXAHACHIE – Funeral services for Dorothy Holder, 88 of Waxahachie, were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 in the Waxahachie Funeral Home Chapel with Walter Buchanan officiating.
Born May 27, 1913 in Floynada, she passed away Dec. 1, 2001 in Ennis.
Preceded in death by her husband Cecil Roy Holder; she is survived by her son Tim Holder of Waxahachie; brothers Casey Tom Riley of Grand Prairie and Rudolph Riley of Reno, Nev.; sister Patty Collier of Mapleton, Ore.; grandchildren Tim L. Holder, Carl Wayne Holder and Janelle Crow; great-grandchildren Dianna Risenhoover, Wyatt Crow, Derek Holder and Chris Holder.
Interment followed in the Forreston Cemetery under the direction of Waxahachie Funeral Home.

Andrew Blake Rodriguez
Nov. 13, 1998 – Dec. 1, 2001
FERRIS – Funeral services for Andrew Blake Rodriguez, 3 of Ferris, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2001 in Green Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Tom Bolton officiating.
Born Nov. 13, 1998 in Mesquite, the son of Nichole Lynn Shipley, he passed away Dec. 1, 2001 in Ferris.
He is survived by his mother Nichole Shipley of Ferris; grandmother Tammy Shipley of Ferris; grandfather Robert Shipley of Ferris; Uncles Bobby Shipley of Ferris, Larry Miller of Ferris and Chris Casmedes of Ft. Walton Beach, Flor.; and Aunts Brandy Miller of Ferris and Monica Casmedes of Ft. Walton Beach, Flor.
Pallbearers were Chris Barger, Leland Herron, Richard Miller and Corie Davis.
Interment followed in the Bristol Cemetery under the direction of Green Funeral Home in Ferris.
