MARGIE MARIE PIERCE
Services for Margie Marie Pierce, 81, of Kilgore are pending at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore. Mrs. Pierce died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 2004 in Kilgore.

BEULAH LYNCH
Funeral services for Beulah Lynch of California, formerly of Kigore are pending at Stanmore Funeral Home. Mrs. Lynch died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2005.

DAVID G. PARMER
Memorial services for David G. Parmer, 54, Kilgore were 4 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 17, 2005 in Highland Park Baptist Church. He died Monday, Feb. 14, 2005.
He is survived by his wife, Marlene; five daughters; son; mother and step-father; father and stepmother; one brother; two sisters; 12 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made to Highland Park New Life Center, Diabetes Association or Heart Association.

LEROY WOODS
Funeral services for Leroy Woods, 81, of Dallas formerly of Kilgore, will be 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 19, 2005 at Victory Funeral Services Chapel, with Rev. Billy S. Medlock., officiating. Burial will be in Grable Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.
Leroy Woods was born Sept. 9, 1923 to Frank and Jennie Johnson Woods in Longview in the Pleasant Green Community. He attended Pleasant Green Baptist Church an Greenville public schools.
After completing his schooling he joined the U.S. Army during World War II and served for 13 years receiving an honorable discharge.
After his military duty he worked on highway construction with many years employed by Contractor’s Supply and several other jobs.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; one son; one sister, Geneva Dean Henderson; four brothers, Harold, Kelsey, Roger and Gary Woods.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice and Robert Puryear of St. Louis, MO.; two brothers, Murry Woods of Kilgore and Elvoid Woods of Tyler; two grandchildren; one great-grandson; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from noon until 8:30 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, February 18, 2005 at Victory Funeral Services.

JACK EDWARD TREY LEPELLEY III
Funeral services for Jack Edward Trey LePelley III, 22, of Price, were held at Crawford-Crim-Bryan Chapel at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 16, 2005 with Rev. Frank Holrath officiating. Interment followed in Rusk County Memorial Gardens under the direction of Crawford-Crim-Bryan Funeral Home in Henderson. Mr. LePelley died March 13, 2005 in Henderson.
He is survived by his parents; sister; grandparents; great-grandmothers; ; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Carlisle Baptist Church, P.O. Box 101, Price, TX 75687 or Trey LePelley Scholarship Fund, Carlisle High School, P.O. Box 187, Price, TX 75687.

CHARLES MCGEE JR.
Funeral services for Charles McGee Jr., 72, of Kilgore were 1 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Gladewater Memorial Park with Rev. Kenneth Charles officiating. Arrangements are by East Texas Funeral Home of Longview. Mr. McGee died Monday, March 14, 2005 in Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
He is survived by wife; son; daughter; brother; two sisters; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

EVERETT DEWITT MYERS
Services for Everett Dewitt Myers, 89, Arp, will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 18, 2005, in the Cottle-Pearson Funeral Home Chapel, Overton with Rev. Dr. Ron Klingsick officiating. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery near Arp. Mr. Myers died Tuesday, March 15, 2005 in a Tyler hospital.
He was born Jan. 27, 1916 in Marydale, MS., to Sam and Zetta Myers. He married Olivia Laura Simmons April 8, 1939 in McCool, MS. He retired from Todd Shipyard, Galveston in 1981 and resided in Arp since 1985. He was a member of Canton Masonic Lodge, # 98 and Arp Emmanuel Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Olivia Myers.
Survivors are his daughters, Betty and Jake Bradford of Arp, Margaret and Willis Briggs, Joyce and James Richard, all of Texas City; four grandsons; three great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Eric Briggs, Jason Briggs, Christopher Richard, Scott Richard, Chris Bruce and Nathan Briggs.
Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Stevens, Douglas Mulligan, Warren Patterson, Roy Soape, O.K. Golden, Roy Crossland, Rip Van Winkle, Nig Spraggins, and Carl Sieber.
Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 17, at the funeral home.

HALCIE LEA BICKLEY
Funeral services for Halcie Lea Bickley, 94, of Mineral Wells, formerly of the Pirtle Community were held 10 a.m. Thursday, March 17, 2005 at the Pirtle United Methodist Church with Rev. Dudley Plaisance officiating. Burial followed in Pirtle Cemetery under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. Mrs. Bickley died Monday, March 14, 2005 in a Mineral Wells nursing home.
Survivors include son; daughter-in-law; four grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and other family.

EDDIE JERRY
DANAHY JR.
Funeral services for Eddie Jerry Danahy Jr, 73, of Garland, formerly of Kilgore, will be held 1 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 in Garland. He died Tuesday, March 14, 2005 at Garland Baylor Hospital.

HAROLD BROWN
Services for Harold Brown, 59, of Kilgore will be held Thursday, March 17, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dick Lindsey officiating. Burial will follow in Danville Cemetery. Mr. Brown passed away Monday, March 14, 2005 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
He was born June 25, 1945 in Overton. Mr. Brown was a retired E-7 Master Sgt. of the United States Air Force after 20 years of service. He served two terms in the Vietnam War. After retirement he worked as a Maintenance Technician for LeTourneau. He enjoyed fishing and spending as much time as possible with his grandchildren. He will be remembered for his generosity and compassion towards others. All who knew him will miss him.
He is survived by his wife Jo Lynn Brown of Kilgore; two sons, James Brown of Longview and Michael L. Sadler of Kilgore; four daughters and a son-in-law, Christina and Christopher Harper of Hilo, Hawaii, Kelli J. Sadler of Kilgore, Anna Huebner of Bridgeport, Ruby Crawford of Ft. Worth; four grandsons; eight granddaughters; six sisters; one brother; father and mother-in-law, Carl and Louise Brousard of Kilgore; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Jean and Keith Mattern of Overton as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family and friends.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Highway 80 Rescue Mission, 3117 W. Marshall Ave., Longview, Texas 75604.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Rader Funeral Home.
The United States Air Force Honor Guard from Barksdale Air Force Base will serve as pallbearers.

RUBY TIPTON
Ruby Tipton, 83, of Hallsville, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, March 15, 2005.
She was born on August 17, 1921 in Grand Saline to Thomas and Pearl Joslin.
Ruby was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist church in Hallsville and loved her church so much that she considered everyone there as her extended family.
She also had a great love for gospel music and was even heard trying to sing her favorite songs until the time that she was called home.
Ruby loved flowers of all kinds and could grow almost anything you could imagine. She was a homemaker and was very interested in the weather.
Ruby’s favorite greeting was “Howdy Dowdy” and her final words were, “It’s time to go home.”
She will be dearly missed by: son, Gary Newman and wife Janis of Garland; daughters, Brandy Reed and husband Cannon of Kilgore and Linda Elder and husband John of Dallas; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Etta Williams and a host of special relatives and friends.
Ruby was preceded in death by: first husband, Leonard Newman; second husband, H.W. “Bill” Tipton Jr. and great-granddaughter, Sarah Elaine Newman.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 6 until 8 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be conducted Friday, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Gary Newman and Lester Howlett officiating.
The following will serve as pallbearers: Lloyd LeFleur, Tim LeFleur, George Hutcherson, Billy Crump, Kenny Graham and Jed Dean.
Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens.

RUBY TIPTON
Funeral services for Ruby Tipton, 83, of Hallsville, will be 4 p.m. Friday, March 18, 2005 in the chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home with Gary Newman and Lester Howlett officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Mrs. Tipton died Tuesday, March 15, 2005.
She was born on Aug. 17, 1921 in Grand Saline to Thomas and Pearl Joslin.
She was a longtime member of Harmony Baptist Church in Hallsville, a homemaker and she loved gardening, gospel music and the weather.
She was preceded in death by: first husband, Leonard Newman; second husband, H.W. “Bill” Tipton Jr. and great-granddaughter, Sarah Elaine Newman.
She is survived by her son, Gary and Janis Newman of Garland; daughters, Brandy and Cannon Reed of Kilgore, Linda John Elder of Dallas; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Etta Williams and a host of special relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Lloyd LeFleur, Tim LeFleur, George Hutcherson, Billy Crump, Kenny Graham and Jed Dean.

Rowena “Billie” Sonier
Graveside services for Mrs. Billie Sonier, 87, of Kilgore, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, 2002 at the Rusk County Memorial Gardens near Henderson.
Mrs. Sonier died Saturday, March 9, 2002 in a local nursing home.
Mrs. Sonier was born May 17, 1924 in Ohio County, Ky. the daughter of the late Cleveland and Beatrice Baize. She had been a resident of the Kilgore area since the 1930s. Mrs. Sonier worked for many years for the Streamliner Restaurant in Kilgore. She was a member of the Nazarene faith and the Rebecca Lodge No. 216.
Two husbands, James Sonier and Jack Masters; son, J.C. Thompson; two sisters, Morene Blue and Clara Pike preceded her in death.
She is survived by her dauhter, Betty Jewel Thompson of Huntington, Texas; son, Larry Gillispie of Phoenix, Ariz.; several grandchildren and great-grandchidren; niece, Betty Gills of Longview; and nephew, Sonny Blue of White Oak.
