JACK VICTOR MOSBY
Funeral services for Jack Victor Mosby, 78, of Harleton were 2 p.m. Tuesday, Juen 15, 2004 at Mobberly Baptist Church, under the direction of Rader Funeral Home of Longview. Interment was in Center Cemetery in Harleton. Mr. Mosby died Saturday, June 12, at a local medical center.
He was born Jan. 22, 1926 in Texarkana, Ark. He attended Texarkana High School and then served his country during World War II and Korea in the U.S. Navy. After his Naval commitment, he attended Purdue University where he received his mechanical engineering degree.
Jack started his contracting career in Texarkana, Ark., and was responsible for the design and installation of the first air conditioning system in East Texas. He then worked for Frank Tindale Mechanical Contractor in Carthage and continued with a career with Drew Woods Inc. After Mr. Woods’ death, he was elected president. Jack finally realized a life-long dream of owning his own company after incorporating Mosby Mechanical Co. Inc. in July 1, 1974. From a small beginning of only six employees, Mosby has grown into one of the most well-respected and successful mechanical contracting firms in the past 30 years.
Jack will be remembered for his overwhelming generosity and commitment to many charities, kids, community and individual’s needs.
Mr. Mosby is survived by Dorothy Mosby of Longview; five sons and daughters, Joe and Elizabeth Mosby of Las Vegas, Nev., Steve and Jean Mosby of Longview; Mike and Stephanie Mosby of Canton, Pam and Alan Browning of Harleton; Patti and Lonnie Green of Henderson; 11 grandchildren, Joe D. Mosby, Leighann Mosby, Crystal Mosby, Amber Stovall, Gregory Mosby, Sonny Mosby, Molly Mosby, Jenny Browning, Matt Browning, Dusty Rogers, Chris Rogers; seven great-granddaughters; brothers, Wes Mosby, Tulla Gruell, Gene Nix; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and employees.
The family asks that memorial donations be made to Jack’s favorite charities, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Salvation Army, Longview Youth Shelter and Windridge Therapeutic Equestrian Center.

JONELL WASHINGTON
Funeral services for JoNell Garrett Washington will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 at the Sabine High School Auditorium. The family will receive friends form 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 27, at the Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, Hwy. 135 at Peavine Road.
The Revs. Billy P. Cleaver, Ronney Johnson, N.L. Square, Dearyl Ford and Wesley Campbell will officiate. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kilgore. Stanmore Funeral Home, Longview, is in charge of arrangements.
Jo was born Dec. 18, 1943 in Kilgore to Mrs. Everett Woods Garrett Henry and the late Rev. Cain Garrett. She departed this life on Aug. 23, 2004 in the peacefulness of her home.
She was preceded in death by her father, a brother, Cecil Garrett, and a sister, Olethia Garrett.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Joe; sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Paula (Mack) of Grand Prairie, Joseph and Judy (Kovacs) of Somerset, N.J., Jarvis of New Boston; daughter and son-in-law, Jannifer Washington-Griffin and Howard of Lufkin; grandchildren, Brandon Caraway of Grand Prairie, Courtney Kovacs of New Jersey, Christian Washington of New Jersey and Howard Griffin Jr. of Lufkin; step-grandchildren, Tandy Caraway of Florida, Marcus Mack of Carrollton, Paul and Roman Mack of Arlington, Bryson Mack of Denton; mother, Everett Viola Henry of Kilgore; brothers and sisters-in-law, Cain and Deborah Garrett of Sacramento, Calif., Royce and Susan Garrett of Lufkin; sisters and brothers-in-law, Evelyn and DeWitt Washington of Kilgore, India Timms of Kilgore and Loretta and Thomas Simon of Mesquite; several aunts and uncles; and a host of other relatives and friends.

ROY GENE PILCHER
Funeral services for Roy Gene Pilcher, 50, of Overton will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 at Tapp Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Chris Vidacovich officiating. Burial will follow in Restlawn Cemetery with Mike Nelson, Mike Corp, Steven Swann, Jimmy Bailey and Milburn Hettich serving as pallbearers.
Mr. Pilcher passed away Thursday morning, Aug. 26, at the Willows Nursing and Rehab Center in Kilgore. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday evening, Aug. 27, at Tapp Funeral Home.
Roy was born in Sulphur Springs Feb. 8, 1954, son of Preston Richard “Pete” and Hester Forgason Pilcher. He married Cheryl Seawright in Hot Springs, Ark., on Oct. 23, 1986. He was a loving husband, father, friend and much more and will be missed by many.
His interest was anything to do with the Dallas Cowboys or golfing. He was also an accomplished wood worker. He was a member of the Chandler St. Church of Christ in Kilgore. He was a manager with the Wal-Mart Co. in Overton.
In addition to his wife, Mr. Pilcher is survived by his mother; two daughters, Cherrie Bolden of Sulphur Springs and Cheneoa Bolden of Dike; two brothers, Jimmy Pilcher of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Jerry Pilcher of Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, Blade Vaughn, Cheyenne Bolden, Teagan, Keith, Keifer, Rachel and Hanna Brantley;
He was preceded in death by his father, Pete, and a sister, Carol Rose, in 1997.
Tapp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

JOYCE MULLENIX
Graveside services for Joyce Mullenix, 42, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 28, 2004 at the Kilgore City Cemetery with her uncle, the Rev. James McFall, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Rader Funeral Home in Kilgore. She died Thursday morning, Aug. 26, at her residence.
She was born Nov. 10, 1961 in Houston and had only recently moved to Kilgore.
Her brother, Marty McFall, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her father, Bill McFall of Kilgore; mother, Dorothy Meador of Channelview; daughters, Crystal Mullenix of Kilgore and Tabitha Mullenix of Channelview; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Becky and Perry Bruce of Houston, Cynthia and Robert Brown of Shreveport and Jeanie and Eddie Daniel of Shepard; four grandchildren; and other loving family and friends.

EFFIE E. SPEER
Services for Mrs. Effie E. Speer, 95, of Kilgore will be held Monday, February 7, 2005 at Two O’clock in the Afternoon at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with Mr. Ronnie Hogg officiating. Interment will follow in the Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Speer passed away Friday at Gregg Home for the Aged where she had lived since 1995.
She was born February 19, 1909 in Normangee, Texas daughter of the late Norman and Ida Ellison. Mrs. Speer was a native of Leon County, Texas, the descendent of a pioneer central Texas family. She spent most of her life living in Gregg County, having moved to Gregg County with her family in 1938.
Mrs. Speer attended Normangee Public Schools and was a graduate of the Mary Hardin Baylor Academy in Belton, Texas. She continued her education at Hardin-Simmons, Sam Houston State and East Texas State Universities. She was a classroom teacher before moving to Gregg County.
In January of 1945 she took a position as the Librarian for the newly established Liberty City Library, which operated as a branch of the Kilgore Public Library. Her other responsibilities while working for Gregg County included bookkeeping for the Road and Bridge Department in Pct. 3. She retired in January of 1980 after 35 years of service with Gregg County.
She was a former member of the Texas State Teachers and Texas State Librarians Associations. Mrs. Speer was a devout Christian and a longtime member of the highway 42 Church of Christ.
Mrs. Speer is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law Billy N. and Joyce Speer of Kilgore and Bobby L. and Latane Speer of Kilgore; one brother Dr. Joe Ellison of Bryan; two granddaughters Simone Gill of Kilgore and Kelli Speer of Kilgore; one grandson Biff and wife Cassandra Speer of Kilgore; one great granddaughter Madison Gill of Kilgore as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family.
Her husband Travis Harlan Speer precedes Mrs. Speer in death.

T.J. WILLIAMS
Funeral services for T.J. Williams, 81, of Kilgore, formerly of Joaquin will be held Sunday, Feb. 6, 2005 at 2 p.m.w ith the Rev. Wesley Veazey officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Watson & Sons Funeral Home. He died Feb. 4, 2005 at the Tyler Continue Care Hospital in Tyler.
Mr. Williams was born Aug. 8, 1923 in Shelby County to Ely and Beatrice Bztes Williams. He retired from Fina Oil and Chemical as a field superintendent. He served int he Army Air Corps during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the DAV and VFW and was a board member of the Joaquin High School Alumni Association. He was a member of Kilgore Missionary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, M.E. Norris; brother, T.E. Williams Jr. and his wife, Lorene Williams.
He is survived by two daughters, Tommie Williams of Kilgore and Judy and Tommie Easley of Talco; son, Steve and Joyce Richards of Friendswood; one granddaughter; three grandsons; six great-grandchildren; two sisters, Marjori and Emmitt Bass of Diboll and Johnnie Tomas of Kewanee, IL.; one brother, A.W. and Alta Williams of Lovington, N.M.; sister-in-law; one aunt; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

MONEY NEAL
Services for Money Neal, 52, of Longview, formerly of Henderson, were 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Henderson with Southern Funeral Home. Burial followed at Lakewood Memorial Park in Henderson. He died Wednesday, Feb. 2, 2005 at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview.
He is survived by his father; five children; four sisters; five brothers; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

VALURA M.DICKERSON
Services for Valura M. Dickerson, 89, of Kilgore are pending at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore. Mrs. Dickerson passed away Monday, Feb. 3, 2005 in Kilgore.

MARVIN DUNLAP HALL JR.
Services for Marvin Dunlap Hall, Jr, 85, were at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Kilgore.
He is survived by his son; daughter; two granddaughters; two nephews; two first cousins.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Paul Episcopal Church in Kilgore.
Pallbearers were Winston Gardner, Bill Smylie, Phillip Mccarty, Gail Grisham, Willie Roberts, Don Adams, Mike Clements and Tom Abernathy.
Honorary pallbearers were Pete Keiser, Red Burton, Bill Routon, Joe Wienberg and George Weinberg.

ERNEST A. TRIBBLE
Services for Ernest A. Tribble, 71, Henderson, were 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at Southern Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Tribble, C. Parker and Bishop Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery under the direction of Southern Funeral Home. He died Friday, Jan. 28, 2005 at Henderson Memorial Hospital in Henderson.
He is survived by his companion; mother; two daughters; three brothers; one uncle; five grandchildren; one very special friend; 10 great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.

HERBERT CASHEN
Services for Herbert Cashen, 87, of Kilgore will be 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 5, 2005 at the First Baptist Church, 501 East North Street, Kilgore with the Reverends Frank Mathews and David Hampton officiating. Burial will follow in the Thompson Cemetery. Mr. Cashen died Friday, Feb. 4, 2005 at his home.
He is survived by three sons; five grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Edwin Holt, David Smith, Earl Griffin, Leon Griffin, Laird Thompson and Carter Overton.
Honorary pallbearers were Winston Gardner and Gore Kemp.

MARGARET MOBLEY
Services for Margaret Mobley, 78 formerly of Kilgore were 10 a.m., Friday, March 11, 2005 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel with the Reverend Gary Orr. Burial followed in the Danville Cemetery. Mrs. Mobley died Wednesday, March 9, 2005 in Dallas, Texas.
She is survived by four daughters; two sons; two sisters; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were: John Pittard, Carl Sheldon, John Lindsey, Ken Harrell, Charley Williams and Lonnie Elmore.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 3613 South Broadway, Suite 401, Tyler, Texas 75701-8732.
