DORIS MARIE SNOW
GILMER — Services for Doris Marie Snow, 73, of Mesquite were held 10 a.m. Thursday at Croley Funeral Home Chapel in Gilmer. Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill in Upshur County. Mrs. Snow passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 in Dallas.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Snow of Mesquite; one son, Keith Snow of Dallas; two daughters, Denise Snow of Mesquite, Melissa Snow of Dallas; four brothers, Thomas Arden of Lake ‘O the Pines, Bobby Arden of Gladewater, Billy Arden of Ben Wheeler, Larry Arden of Kilgore; one sister, Ann Watson of Walker, LA.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.

MAE ALICE WOODS
Funeral services for Mrs. Mae Alice Woods are pending with Citizens Funeral Home. She passed away Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at a Longview hospital.

ANNIE GRAY ROSS
Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Gray Ross, 75, of Henderson are pending with Southern Funeral Home. She passed away Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005 at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler.

LAWRENCE W. MUCKELROY SR.
Funeral services for Lawrence W. Muckelroy Sr., 82, were held Monday, Jan. 24, 2005 at Bethel A.M.E. Church in Dallas. A Wake service was held Sunday, Jan. 23, at Black and Clark Funeral Home. He passed away Jan. 19, 2005.
Mr. Muckelroy was born Jan. 28, 1922. A native of Kilgore, he graduated from Dansby High School in 1941. He was an outstanding athlete at the high school and at the college level. He graduated from Texas College and Texas Southern University, respectively, with B.S. and M.S. degrees. He was also a member of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He was a member of Bethel A.M.E. Church in Dallas for many years where he served as Sunday School Superintendent and Trustee.
He was employed by Dallas Independent School District. He was a mathematics teacher at John Henry Brown and Pearl C. Anderson. He was principal at Harry Stone Elementary School and was later appointed the first principal at Maynard Jackson Vanguard School where he remained until his retirement. In 1982 he received the Jack Lowe Award as Principal of the year.
He is the son of the late Virgil Muckelroy (Mauline), who both preceded him in death along with all of his siblings. Lawrence is survived by his wife, Laura; son, Lawrence Jr.; daughters, Marsha Ricks and Jacquelyn Houston-McNeal (Elvin), two grandchildren; many loving relatives and friends.

BROZLIA LACY
Services for Brozlia Lacy, 92, of the Big Spring Community, are pending with Southern Funeral Home of Henderson. She died Saturday, March 5, 2005.

JOHN LEE LEWIS
Funeral services for John Lee Lewis, 86, of Jacksonville were held Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Thompson Funeral Home in Jacksonville. Mr. Lewis died March 6, 2005 in Kilgore.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Imogene Lewis.
He is survived by two sons, Norman and Vanessa Lewis of Baytown, Nolan and Sandra Kay Lewis of Kilgore; two daughters, Joyce and Ronnie Richardson, Sue and Tommy Moore, all of Kilgore; nine grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Chris Lewis, Lance Lewis, Eric Lewis, Johnny Lewis, Shane Richardson and Billy Jack O’Neal.

DAN CLIFFORD WATTS
Funeral services for Dan Clifford Watts, 73, of Houston formerly of Kilgore and Longview, were 11 a.m., Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at Westview Church of Christ, with Bro. John Smith, officiating. Burial was in Shiloh Cemetery in White Oak. Arrangements were under direction of Victory Funeral Services. He died Friday, March 4, 2005, at Houston Northwest Medical Center.
Dan Clifford Watts was born on Sept. 20, 1931 to Emmitt and Rodessa Christian Watts in Longview in the Shiloh Community.
IHe attended public schools in the Shiloh Community and served his country by enlisting in the United States Marines and received an honorable discharge.
After his military duty, he worked many years at Axelson where he was a member of the Teamster Union prior to his retirement.
His parents, a son, Derrell G. Watts and all seven of his siblings preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce Kelly-Watts of Houston; a daughter, Carol Watts Sanders of Longview; two sons, Dan Clifford Watts Jr. of Portland, OR and Daniel R. Watts of Kilgore; four grandchildren; stepbrother, Tommy Stokes of Dallas; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from noon until 8 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2005 at Victory Funeral Services.

RUTH MCBRIDE HILL
Services for Ruth McBride Hill, 73, of New Boston, formerly of Kilgore will be 2 p.m., Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Rader Funeral Home Chapel withRev. Donald Beebe officiating. Burial will follow in Kilgore Cemetery. Mrs. Hill died Sunday, March 6, 2005 in New Boston as the results of an automobile accident.
She was born March 15, 1931 in Oklahoma City to Andrew and Eddice McBride. Her family moved to East Texas when she was young. Mrs. Hill attended public schools in Laird Hill. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. Mrs. McBride moved to New Boston in 1994.
She is survived by two sons, Danny Morgan of New Boston, Stephen Morgan of Nashville, TN; three daughters, Rhonda and Eddie Parsley of New Boston, Carol and Mike Denson of Mount Pleasant, Arlene and Jeff Arnam of Wynnewood, OK; three brothers, Charles and Iris McBride of Kilgore, Edward McBride of Longview, Lonnie and Sue McBride of Longview; a sister, June Clark of Leverett's Chapel; six grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Her husband and her parents preceded her in death.
The family will receive friends at Rader Funeral Home of Kilgore Wednesday evening between 6 and 8 p.m.

Mr. L.E. Ostrom
Mr. L.E. Ostrom age 94 of Kilgore, Texas died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002 in a Longview, Texas hospital.
Born Dec. 7, 1907 in Wetumak, Okla. to the late James Arthur and Clara Helen Seay Ostrom, he had been a resident of Kilgore since 1956. He owned and operated L.E. Ostrom Oil Company in Longview for many years, and he continued to work until his death. He enjoyed fishing and traveling with his wife. On Sept. 5, 1930 he married Beatrice Lola Martin in Borger, Texas.
Among his survivors are his beloved wife of 72 years Bea Ostrom of Kilgore, Texas; a grandson, Dallas Ostrom of Dallas, Texas; a great-grandson, Brandon Ostrom of Keller, Texas; three nephews, Bob Ostrom of Longview, Texas, Bob Martin of Tulsa, Okla., and Larry Jolly of Houston, Texas; six nieces, Cammille Hankamer of Houston, Texas, Lavon Cabiness of Borger, Texas, Elnita Stanley of Nacogdoches, Texas, Carolyn Evans of Houston, Texas, Gwendolyn Ostrom of Amarillo, Texas, and Ellen Claire Ostrom of Bristow, Okla.
He was preceded in death by one son, James Robert Ostrom in 1977.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Chapel of Lakeview Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Lakeview Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Those who wish to make memorial contributions may do so to Cal Farley’s Boy’s Ranch. Services are under the direction of Lakeview Funeral Home.

Samuel Russ Jackson
HARLETON — Graveside services for Samuel Russ Jackson, 67, of Harleton, were 2 p.m. today, Sept. 9, 2002 at Center Cemetery in Harleton with Rev. Leonard Nickels officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of East Texas Funeral Home in Longview.
Mr. Jackson died Friday, Sept. 6, 2002 in a local hospital.
He was born Oct. 13, 1934 in Sulphur Bluff to Jesse and Fannie Bell Jackson. He was a brick mason and served in the United States Army.
Survivors include his wife, Louise Jackson of Harleton; daughters, Linda Medders of Nevada, Texas and Sandra Renee Jackson of Harleton; son, David Michael Sessom of Kilgore; brothers, Jesse Jackson of Point and Archie Jackson of Longview; sisters, Frankie Denard of Gladewater and Janice King of Hubbard; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Pearline Jackson
Services for Pearline Jackson, of Kilgore, are pending with Cunningham Funeral Home.
Ms. Jackson died Saturday, Sept. 7, 2002 in Tyler.

Grace Vise Tucker
Grace Vise Tucker died Sept. 7, 2002.
She was preceded in death by James Francis Tucker, her beloved Jimmy.
Grace taught first grade for many years at Condit Elementary, and was a member of St. Phillip’s Presbyterian Church and the Current Study Club.
She is survived by son, James Francis Tucker, II; daughter-in-law, Jenean Hill Tucker; and daughter, Twila Tucker Richardson; son-in-law, Charles Richardson, MD; grandchildren, Trey Tucker, Tiffany Tucker, Emily Blake and husband Jeff, Lucy Brittian and husband Michael; and sister, Jeanette Holt.
A memorial service will be held at St. Phillip’s Presbyterian Church Sept. 28 at 2 p.m. Donations can be made to your favorite charity.

Robert Glenn Conner
Memorial services for Mr. Robert Glenn Conner, 48, of Tatum were held at four o’clock p.m., Saturday November 16, 2002 at the Rader Funeral Home Chapel in Kilgore with the Reverend Park Robertson officiating. Mr. Conner passed away Friday, November 15, 2002 in Longview.
He was born June 17, 1954 in Linden, Texas the son of the late Newman and Myrtle Conner. He attended Atlanta schools and was a member of the Baptist Church. He worked thirteen years as a supervisor for a private contractor at the Martin Lake power plant. Mr. Conner loved spending time in the outdoors hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Nick Connor of Tatum; a brother, N.L. Conner of Queen City, Tx.; three sisters, Mary Birchfield and Martha Combs, both of Lake Cherokee, and Peggy Matthews of Lufkin; a very special friend, Lisa Conner of Atlanta; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving family.

Fonnie Ector Jr.
Funeral services for Fonnie Ector, Jr., 66, of Kilgore will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002 at Kilgore Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Taylor officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Comfort Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Victory Funeral Services.
On Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2002, Mr. Fonnie Ector, Jr. died at Hospice of East Texas Homeplace in Tyler.
Fonnie was one of two children born to Fonnie and Mary Howard Ector Sr. on Sept. 8, 1936 in Laird Hill. He attended Star Bailey Schools.
He was employed as a welder and retired as a truck driver. His favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing and football.
Mr. Ector is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bruce Ector; one daughter, Annette Dixon; and one granddaughter, Lameka Smith.
He is survived by Eamie Mae Williams and their children; two daughters, Shirley Haynes and Sarah Williams, both of Kilgore; four sons, Willie Williams of Tennessee Colony, Ezekiel Williams and Ricky Williams, both of Longview, and Jay Calvin Williams of Kilgore. He also is survived by Annece Smith and their children, two daughters, Sherly Horton and Pamela Sith, both of Longview; five sons, Larry Smith, Dalton Smith, Mikel Ector, Anthony Bernard Smith and Andrew Smith, all of Kilgore; one sister, Shirley Cameron of Dallas; one aunt, Leonie Lang of Kilgore; one uncle, Arittie “Boy” Howard of Dallas; 56 grandchildren and a host of greatgrandchildren and other relatives and friends.
Public viewing will be from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. and the family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov 18, 2002 at Victory Funeral Services.
