Herbert Osborn
Services for Herbert Osborn, 71, were held Feb. 14 at Roselawn Cemetery in Seagoville with the Rev. Don Bell officiating.
Mr. Osborn died Feb. 11, 2000.
He was born Oct. 1, 1928, in Ben Wheeler.
Mr. Osborn was in the Armed Forces and served in Okinawa during the Korean War. He was blinded in an accident on the job at Southern Pacific Railroad in 1978. He was a member of Lakeview Assembly of God Church in Seven Points.
He was survived by his wife of 52 years, Vivian Rachel Gunstanson Osborn; three daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Ronny Roundtree of Gun Barrel City, Peggy and Bill Adams of Trinidad and Starlyn and Kenny Jeffcoat of Canton; brother, Vastine Lewis of Mesquite; sister, Ernestine McKinzie of Garland; and nine grandsons.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Tim Ehrenberger, Kevin Ehrenberger, Brent Ehrenberger, Chad Brigdon, Clint Brigdon, Kirk Miller, Dustin Jeffcoat, Tyler Jeffcoat and Travis Jeffcoat.

Marie Cranfill Somers
Private graveside services for Marie Cranfill Somers, 77, of Athens are scheduled for a later date in Winthrop, Kan., under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mrs. Somers died Feb. 15, 2000, in Athens.
She was born April 24, 1922, in Vandervort, Ark., to Martin Lee and Mary Elizabeth Howard Cranfill.
Before moving to Athens in 1980, she and her husband owned and operated Somer's Antiques and Used Furniture in Lexington, Ken.
Mrs. Somers was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph Somers, in 1993; and brother, James "Buck" Cranfill.
She is survived by her sons, John LeFevers and Davis Somers of San Antonio; sisters, Eleanor Edwards, Doris Gresham and Elsa Lindset, all of Athens; brothers, Martin Lee Cranfill of England, Ark., and Roscoe E. Cranfill of Athens; granddaughters, Angel Somers and Janelle LeFevers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation is scheduled for 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Henderson County Food Pantry, P.O. Box 2062, Athens, TX 75751.

Cuebell Graham Bynum
Services for Cuebell Graham Bynum, 80, of Ransom Canyon are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with the Rev. Ben Mock officiating.
Burial will follow at Moorehead-Melton Cemetery in Henderson County under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mrs. Bynum died May 15, 2000, in Slayton.
She was born June 10, 1919, in Eustace to Jesse Melvin and Louisa Faye Chote Graham.
Previously of Eustace, she lived in Ransom Canton for six years. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Eustace.
Mrs. Bynum is survived by her husband, Ottice W. Bynum of Ransom Canyon; sons, Melvin Myron Bynum of Tool and Jerry N. Bynum of Ransom Canyon; grandsons, Ervin W. Bynum of Canton and Cole B. Bynum of Ransom Canyon; granddaughters, Keely D. Bynum and Tara D. Bynum, both of Ransom Canyon; and other family members.
Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Thomas Edward "Tommy' Tidwell
Services for Thomas Edward "Tommy" Tidwell, 72, of Ben Wheeler are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens with the Rev. Fred Albert officiating.
Burial will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Park in Henderson County under the direction of Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Tidwell died May 16, 2000, in Tyler.
He was born Feb. 6, 1928, in Brownsboro to Clifton and Jewell Smith Tidwell.
Mr. Tidwell was a veteran who served in Korea and a retired heating and air conditioning serviceman. He was a longtime resident of Van Zandt County and a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his mother; and sister, Virginia Kimberly.
Survivors include his wife, Coques Tidwell of Ben Wheeler; sons and daughters-in-law, Kelly and Yvonne Tidwell and Kerry and Kathy Tidwell, all of Ben Wheeler; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; father, C.W. Tidwell of Athens; and sister, Betty Harrison of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Travis Tidwell, Justin Tidwell, Martin Rhodes, Gary Rhodes, Toby Thedford, Marcus Nelson, Kelly Joe Tidwell and Robert Perkins.
Family will receive friends from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of usual remembrances, memorials may be made to the Arthritis Foundation or the Diabetes Association.

John Boyd Dukes
Services for John Boyd Dukes, 79, of Malakoff are pending with Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home of Athens.
Mr. Dukes died May 17, 2000, in Malakoff.

Hanna M. Ruthart
Services for Hanna M. Ruthart, infant, of Arlington are pending with Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Baby Ruthart died May 17, 2000, in Dallas.
She was the daughter of Charles D. and Shana Ruthart.

Rebecca "Robbie' Eckert
Services for Rebecca "Robbie" Eckert, 52, of Chandler were held at 10 a.m. Monday at First United Methodist Church of Athens with Gary Fitzgerald officiating.
Burial followed at Chandler Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Chandler Memorial Funeral Home of Chandler.
Mrs. Eckert died Aug. 4, 2000, in Tyler.
She was born April 21, 1948, in Yale, Mich.
Mrs. Eckert attended San Carlos High School in San Carlos, Calif. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Chandler. She was a partner with her husband at Preferred Services.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Louretta Reamer.
Survivors include her husband, Vic Eckert of Chandler; daughters, Sheridan Cherie Williams of Chandler and Alisa Victoria Cook of Chandler; brothers, Larry Wayne Reamer of California; sister Rae Ann Cole Brown of Arizona; and grandchildren, Tiffany Chellece Williams, Thomas Paul Williams, Amber Shae Williams, Cody Nelson Cook and Dusty Lane Williams.
Pallbearers were Edward Williams, Stan Threadgill, Ronald Eckert, Randy Eckert, John Smith and Doug Nickolson.

Billy Wayne Ellzey Sr.
Services for Billy Wayne Ellzey Sr., 37, of Eustace are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eubank Memorial Chapel in Mabank with Father Andrew Melel and Howard Palms officiating.
Burial will follow at Moorehead-Melton Cemetery in Henderson County under the direction of Eubank Funeral Home of Mabank.
Mr. Ellzey died Aug. 5, 2000.
He was born Jan. 10, 1963, in Dallas to Charles V. and Helen J. Hood Ellzey.
Previously of Dallas, he lived in Eustace for seven years and was Catholic.
Mr. Ellzey was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Ellzey.
Survivors include wife, Monica Ellzey of Eustace; daughter, Katrina Ellzey of Eustace; son, Billy Wayne Ellzey Jr. of Austin; mother, Helen Ellzey of Dallas; father and stepmother, Charles and Alice Ellzey of Dallas; brother, Charles Ellzey of Keysville, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Deborah and Cris Craft of Glen Heights; aunts, Eva Cheeks of Laurel, Miss., and Vivian Wallace of Ellisville, Miss.; uncle, Virgil Ellzey of Red Oak; and numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.
Pallbearers will be Billy Wayne Ellzey Jr., Tony Keith, Ross Salvaggio, Billy Redford, Juan Gonzalez, John Dickey and Paul Ellzey.
