Julie A. Capasso
Julie A. Capasso, 44, of Bowie, TX passed away on March 31, 2003 in Albuquerque, New Mexico .
Ms. Capasso was born on February 11, 1959 in Porterville, CA. She was a long time resident of Canyon County, California before moving to Bowie, TX three years ago. She was employed by IESI-TX Sanitation Company at the Bowie Transfer Station and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Funeral services for Mrs. Capasso were held on Thursday, April 3, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fry Funeral Home Chapel with David Hall officiating. Interment was at the Elmwood Cemetery, Bowie, TX.
Surviving relatives include: her father, Buck Lock, Bowie, TX; one sister, Dalena Logan, Bowie, TX; one brother Michael A. Lock, Flagstaff, AZ and several nieces, nephews and aunts.
Pallbearers included: John Logan, Dave Brunner, Willie Brisco, Kent Geis, Gary David and Gary Carter.

Billie Carr
Billie Carr, 68, of Bowie, TX passed away April 2, 2003 at Bowie Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Carr was born on March 7, 1935 in Keller, TX. She married Lindy Bates in 1956 and he passed away in 1978. She married Roy Carr in 1980 and he passed away in 2000. Mrs. Carr was a homemaker and attended Central Baptist Church in Bowie. She was a 46 year resident of Bowie.
Graveside services for Mrs. Carr were held on Friday, April 5, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at McDonald Cemetery, Bowie, TX with Rev. Paul A. Henderson officiating. Services were directed by Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Rosa Rose, Bowie, TX; one son, Tom Bates, Bellevue, TX; one granddaughter, one grandson and one nephew.

Margaret Williamson Wall
Margaret Williamson Wall, 85, of Lubbock, TX passed away on April 5, 2003 at Lubbock Medical Center.
Mrs. Wall was born on January 22, 1918 in Ringgold, TX to Theodore and Cora Seeds Williamson. She married Virgil Wall on December 24, 1939. Mrs. Wall worked as a secretary at Convair Bomber Plant during World War II and was a homemaker. She was a 50 year member of Order of Eastern Star and member of the First Baptist Church in Haskell, TX.
Funeral services for Mrs. Wall were held Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at 2 p.m. at the Jerry Woods Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Moore officiating. Interment was held at the Ringgold Cemetery, Ringgold, TX under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, Margaret Ann Jordan, Ransom Canyon, TX and Janis Ellen McMillion, Lubbock, TX; one son, James H. Wall, Lubbock, TX; five grandchildren, five step grandchildren and 10 step great-grandchildren. Mrs. Wall was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil Wall.
Pallbearers included: Gary Williamson, Walter Williams, Adrian Graham, Charlie Lee Wall, James White, Cletus Wall and Donald Wall.

Billy Hoyt Powell
Billy Hoyt Powell, 74, of Rockwell, TX passed away on April 6, 2003 in the hospital at Rowlett, TX.
Mr. Powell was born on November 8, 1928 in Saint Jo, TX to Theodore P. and Ethel Uldeen Howard Powell. He served in the Marines, Navy and Air Force and was a truck driver. Mr. Powell was a Baptist.
Graveside services for Mr. Powell will be held on Wednesday, April 9, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at Starkey Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Debbie Secrest, San Diego, CA; two sons, Billy Powell, FL, Edmond Powell, Ft. Worth, TX; one sister, Jennie Birchfield, Forney, TX; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Sallie Edwards Heath
Sallie Edwards Heath, 94, Bowie, TX, passed away on April 20, 2003 at Bellmire Healthcare Facility.
Mrs. Heath was born on September 24, 1908 in Conehatta, MS. She married Orville Franklin Heath on June 2, 1928 in Montague, TX. She was a longtime resident of Stoneburg, TX. before moving to Bowie eleven years ago. She was a homemaker, and a member of Stoneburg Baptist Church. She was a very accomplished seamstress and took great pride in quilting, crochet, and was also a very accomplished vegetable gardener. She was a wonderful grandmother.
Graveside services for Mrs. Heath were held at Hopewell Cemetery Monday, April 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Dick Hennings officiating under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one son, Bobby Ray Heath, Sunset, TX; one daughter, Jo Ann Sheen, Sweetwater, TX; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; four sisters, Mattie Mixon, Lorene Neece, and Mary Hill, all of Bowie, TX; Sara Armstrong, Houston, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Orville Franklin "Bob" Heath in 1991; two sisters, Mabel Turner and Lois Shannon.

Hoyt Mann
Hoyt Mann, 77, Forestburg, TX, passed away on April 13, 2003 at Bowie Memorial Hospital.
Mr. Mann was born on June 18, 1925 in Forestburg, TX. He married Norma Dee Campsey on July 19, 1946 at Forestburg, TX. Norma passed away on February 28, 1996. He married Peggy Metler on March 22, 1997 at Bowie, Texas. Mr. Mann was Sales Director for Dresser-Atlas for over 30 years and retired in 1984. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII.
Funeral services for Mr. Mann were held on Wednesday, April 16, 2003 at 10:30 a.m. at Fry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Miller officiating. Interment was held at the New Harp Cemetery .
Surviving relatives include: his wife, Peggy Mann, Forestburg, TX; one son, Skip Mann, Forestburg, Tx; one step-son, Bill Briggs, Rio Bamba, Ecuador; two step daughters, Donna Nicoll, Leonard, TX, Beverly Cline, South Lake, TX; one grandson; one granddaughter; six step-grandchildren; 4 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers included: Danny Russell, Bobby York, Rex Parker, Ricky Russell, Gary Miller, Steve Bounds. Honorary Pallbearers included: Tony Benson, Herman Hibdon, Jim Goolsby, Gary Ratliff, Ray Ford, Willie Wayne Volkman.

Eula Fae (Fanning) Galmor
Eula Fae (Fanning) Galmor, 82, Forestburg, TX, passed away on April 18, 2003 at Denton Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Galmor was born on October 9, 1920 at Stony Point, TX to Ernest Quinton and Myrtle Lee Bailey Fanning. She married William Bert Galmor on July 28, 1940 in Marietta, OK. She was a member of the Forestburg Church of Christ. She had worked as a seamstress for the Russell Newman Factory and as a grocery clerk for Shorty Thompson, Casey Jones and Rex Anderson.
Funeral services for Mrs. Galmor were held Monday, April 21, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Forestburg Church of Christ with Rev. C.E. Cole and Loyd Morris officiating. Interment was held at the Perryman Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: three daughters, Nell McKinney, Burleson, TX, Rosetta Hoover, Montague, TX, and Alice Fae Shults, Forestburg, TX; seven grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Myrtle Fanning and one brother Alfred Fanning.
Pallbearers included: Gary Perryman, Eli Harvill, Royce Wayne Miller, Henry Berry, Doyle Lynch, and Bill Scott.

Adeline Boyd Tucker Clarke
Adeline Boyd Tucker Clarke, 100, Bowie, TX, passed away on April 9, 2003 in Bowie, TX.
Mrs. Clarke was born on December 30, 1902 in Bowie, TX to Luella Penna Boyd and Wiley Tucker. She married Ogden Clarke on September 6, 1930 in Grandfield, OK. The Clark’s established the Ogden Clarke Insurance Agency in 1931. After the death of her husband in 1967 she sold the business to her daughter but continued to work in the business until her retirement in 1986.
Mrs. Clarke was honored in 1997 as being the oldest living graduate of Bowie High School. Her graduation picture headed the ex-students section of the BHS Leaves of Gold Centennial Jackrabbit Annual. She was valedictorian of the class of 1921 and attended Bowie Commercial College and the College of Industrial Arts, now Texas Woman’s University in Denton. Mrs. Clarke was a member of the First Baptist Church where she played the piano and organ for many years. She was a member of the Thursday Club, the McDowell Music Club, PTA, Friends of the Library and the Bowie Band Parents. She started the Bowie Band Parents variety show in the early 50’s which lasted over 40 years. Mrs. Clarke was in charge of Bowie’s celebration of the Texas State Centennial in 1936 and Bowie’s vice president for the Montague county centennial celebration in 1958. She was Jim Bowie Days Pioneer Queen in 1974.
Funeral services for Mrs. Clarke were held on Tuesday, April 15, 2003 at 4 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Bowie, TX with the Rev. Dick Hennings, Minister of Music officiating. Interment was in the Elmwood cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives included: daughters, Nancy Runnells and Adeline Beatty, both of Bowie, TX; two grandchildren, Michael Clarke and Lisa Lynn Runnells, both of Bowie, TX; two great grandchildren, Brandon Clarke and Kelly Lynn, both of Bowie, TX; one niece, Dottie Dell McRoberts, Dallas, TX and cousins, Mary Tucker Weston, Martha Tucker Fuller, Rama Lee Boyd Baker, all of Bowie, TX and Mary Jo Henderson Boyd, West Lafayette, Indiana.
Mrs. Clarke was preceded in death by her husband Ogden Clarke.
