Pete Wilson Uselton
Pete Wilson Uselton, 90, of Nocona, TX, passed away August 14, 2003 in a Nocona nursing home.
Mr. Uselton was born November 16, 1912 in Shady Grave, Tx, to Dora Holt and John W. Uselton. He married Clover Nell (Tony) Chandler June 26, 1948 in Nocona, TX. During World War II Pete was stationed in Hawaii in the Civilian Signal Corp. Following the end of the war he returned to Nocona and was a farmer and rancher. He received several blue ribbon awards for the “Best Train-Car-Load of Cattle” at the Fort Worth Stockyards. During the 1960’s and 70’s Pete worked part time for the USDA Soil Conservation Service and major agricultural magazines including Farmer/Stockman and Progressive Farmer published lengthy articles of Pete’s success as a livestock operator and rancher. In 1973 Pete received the prestigious “Outstanding Conservation Farmer Award” presented by the Upper Elm-Red Soil and Water Conservation District at their 25th Anniversary Banquet. He was a former member of the Nocona Rotary Club and a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services for Mr. Uselton were held Saturday, August 16, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Nocona, TX with Rev. Keith Barbee officiating. Interment was in Nocona Cemetery under the direction of Jerry Woods Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: two sons, Steve Uselton, Sherman, TX, and Pat Uselton, Sugarland, TX; four grandchildren; and one sister, Thelma Grigsby, Nocona, TX. He was preceded in death by his wife, Clover Nell (Tony) Chandler Uselton on August 21, 1985.
Pallbearers included: Sandy Major, Peter Uselton, Matt Uselton, Brian Uselton, Jim Uselton and Tommy Lee Uselton.
Memorials may be made to the Amercian Cancer Society or Charity of Your choice.

“Boss” Haskell Wesley Roberts
“Boss” Haskell Wesley Roberts, age 94, of Nocona, TX, passed away September 7, 2003 at Horizon Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Roberts was born August 31, 1909 in Terrell, OK to Janey Lynch and Miles M. Roberts. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.
Graveside services for Mr. Roberts were held Tuesday, September 9th, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with C.E. Russell officiating. Burial was at Starkey Cemetery.
Surviving relatives include: two daughters, June Roberts Carpenter, Wichita Falls, TX, and Janey Darlene Roberts, Nocona, TX; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren; a sister, Lue E. Robertson, Nocona, TX; a special friend, Helen Davis, Wichita Falls, TX; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Sims Roberts in 1971.

Heath Jackson
Heath Jackson, age 22, of Sunset, TX passed away August 31, 2003 in Fort Worth, TX.
Mr. Jackson was born October 13, 1980 in Sherman, TX. He was a resident of Montague County for 14 years. He was a roustabout in the oil industry and a member of the Baptist faith.
Funeral services for Mr. Jackson were held Thursday, September 4, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Sunset, TX with Rev. Kenneth Wood and Rev. J.D. Coffman officiating. Interment was at Sunset Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: his parents, Kent Jackson and Linda Breeze, both of Sunset, TX; his step parents, Joan Jackson and Louie Lowrance, Sunset, TX; one sister, Kenda Leigh Jackson, Grandbury, TX; one step brother, Mike Haynes, Cottondale, TX; three step sisters, Lacy, Loren and Lindsey Lowrance, all of Sunset, TX; grandparents, Louie and Janet Jackson, Sunset, TX; and Corky and Clara Breeze, Nocona, TX; great grandparents, LaRue Jackson, Sunset, TX, and Katie Schmitz, Bowie, TX; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Pallbearers included: Levi Jackson, Cody Green, Trey Pittman, Clark Dobyns, Brice Blaylock, Scott Berdine, Cody Adams and Justin Stark. Honorary pallbearers include: Tony Stockard, Skye Morris, Bobby Briggs, Marvin Miller and Jarod Hash.

Christyn Jade Dishman
Christyn Jade Dishman, newborn infant, of Nocona, TX, passed away September 4, 2003 at URHCS 8th Street in Wichita Falls.
Miss Dishman was born September 4, 2003 in Wichita Falls to Vanessa Casillas and Rodger Dishman.
Funeral services for Miss Dishman were held Sunday, September 7, 2003 at 3:00 p.m. at Scott-Morris Chapel.
Surviving relatives include: her parents, Rodger and Vanessa Dishman, Nocona, TX; one brother, Austin Dishman, Nocona, TX; grandparents, Wanda Dishman, Joann Fatheree, Ronnie and Martha Casillas, Sr.

Yvonne Holder
Yvonne Holder, age 67, of Bowie, TX, passed away September 6, 2003 at her residence.
Mrs. Holder was born December 9, 1935 in Tage, TX to Nora Craft and Weldon Nored. She marred Floyd Ben Holder on June 30, 1972 in Montague, TX. She was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
Funeral services for Mrs. Holder were held Wednesday, September 10, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Water Haynie officiating. Interment was at Tage Cemetery in Tage, TX.
Surviving relatives include: four daughters, Debra Evonne McGowan, Nocona, TX, Janet Holder and Alicia Kay McBride, both of Bowie, TX, and Shirley Hines, Bowie, TX; one son, Richard Alvin Bowers, Henrietta, TX; eight step daughters; three step sons; nineteen grandchildren; twenty-five great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one sister, Martha Smith, Bowie, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother and father and one brother, Andy Nored.
Pallbearers included: Andy Bowers, Adam Bowers, Terry Hines, Billy Jack Hood, Benjamin McGowan, Billy McGowan, Jr. Honorary pallbears include: Jonathan Holder.

C.F. "Fred" Boyd
C.F. "Fred" Boyd, age 78, of Bowie, TX, passed away July 8, 2003 at his residence in Bowie, TX.
Mr. Boyd was born February 11, 1925 in Cleburne, TX to Ola and Fred Boyd. He married Retha Nell Laseman on August 16, 1947 in Henrietta, TX. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII as Gunners Mate 3rd Class aboard the USS Portland and was a member of the Reddy-McClellan VFW Post #8789 in Bowie. He was a Master Plumber. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bowie where he was a member of the Seekers Sunday School Class.
Funeral services for Mr. Boyd were held Friday, July 11, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church of Bowie with Rev. Doyle Wade officiating. Interment was at Elmwood Cemetery under the direction of Fry Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: one daughter, Margie McCandless, Bowie, TX; four sons, Larry Boyd, Danny Boyd, Tim Boyd and Lynn Boyd, all of Bowie, TX; ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren; four sisters, Hazel McVey, Winnie Luna, Billie Gore, and Bobbie Horton, all of Wichita Falls, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ratha Nell Boyd on January 10, 1998; his parents, Ola and Fred Boyd; one brother, Harold Boyd; and one great granddaughter, Jennifer Cameron Boyd.
Pallbearers included: Jim Boyd, Jason Boyd, Jeramie Boyd, Shane McCandless, Michael Deford and Kevin Pullen. Honorary pallbearers included: Lee Nielson, Bob Teague, Kenny Page, Tommy Hayes, H.L. Evans, Joe Conners, Henry Salter, Jake Bridgewater, and Ronnie Weber.

Richard Oliver Evans
Richard Oliver Evans, age 72, of Myra, TX passed away July 11, 2003 at Muenster Memorial Hospital in Muenster, TX.
Mr. Evans was born November 5, 1930 in Brainerd, MN to Ruby and William Evans. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean Conflict. He loved fishing and living his own way.
A memorial service for Mr. Evans were held Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at 10:00 a.m. at the McCoy Funeral Chapel in Muenster with Rev. Bill Ledbetter officiating. Services were directed by McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: two sons, Butch Evans, Myra, TX and Skip Evans, Denton, TX; six grandchildren; and one great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruby and William Evans.

Rose Bernadette (Sandmann) Klement
Rose Bernadette (Sandmann) Klement, age 85, of Muenster, TX passed away July 12, 2003 at the Muenster Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Klement was born September 21, 1917 in Lindsay, TX to Catherine Caroline Hermes and Bernard Sandmann. She married Edgar Edward Klement on May 14, 1940 in Lindsay, TX. She was a homemaker and lived in Muenster all of her married life. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Parish.
Funeral services for Mrs. Klement were held Wednesday, July 16, 2003 at the Sacred Heart Church in Muenster with Rev. John Ohner, O.S.A. officiating. Interment was at Sacred Heart Cemetery under the direction of McCoy Funeral Home.
Surviving relatives include: her husband, Edgar Klement, Muenster, TX; four sons, Kenneth Klement, Gainesville, TX; Ronald, Robert and Leon Klement, all of Muenster, TX; fourteen grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; two sisters, Anna Bayer, Muenster, TX, and Ethel Schmidlkofer, Gainesville, TX; and seven brothers, Julius, Herman, Clem and James Sandmann, all of Lindsay, TX, Henry Sandmann, Valley View, TX, Bernard Sandmann, Sherman, TX, and Max Sandmann, N. Richland Hills, TX. She was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Bernard Sandmann; one brother, Joe Sandmann; two sisters, Mary and Agnes Sandmann; one son, Glenn Klement; and one grandson, Travis Klement.
Pallbearers included: Elliot Klement, Scott Klement, Justin Klement, John Klement, Bryan Klement and Daniel Klement.
