Bobby Jean Wilson
Bobby Jean Wilson, 74, of New Caney and formerly of Hardin (Old Snake River), passed away Monday, June 3, 2002 at his residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy D. Capehart officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends of the family.
Mr. Wilson was born Dec. 7, 1927 in Doniphant, Ark. He and his wife Ruby traveled throughout the United States while working for Brown and Root until he retired in 1985.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence L. and Mary Francis Wilson; sisters, Irene Carmickel, Jewell Brooks, Zella Mae Bland; and brothers, Tom Wilson and Boyd Wilson; and grandson, Donald Carl Beamon Jr.
Survivors include his loving wife of 39 years, Ruby Faye Wilson of New Caney; son, Tony Wilson of Searcy, Ark.; daughters, Jeannie Lyles of Searcy, Ark. and Ella Mae Matthews of Houston; daughter-in-law, Melva Beamon of Houston; sisters, Minnie M. Weidner and husband Claude of Livingston and Mildred Chestane of Conroe; grandchildren, Mae Dean and Dennis Cockerham of Dayton, Thursa Kimbrell, Mitzy and Moises Casas, and Laura Ward, all of New Caney, Lovie Graves of Houston, Shawn and Beverly Beamon of Channelview, Tonya Lyles, Monica and Sydney Swain, and Terri McClain, all of Searcy, Ark.; 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Richard B. Spear
Richard B. Spear, 48, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002 in Corsicana.
Services are pending.
Mr. Spear was born Aug. 15, 1954 in Altus, Okla. He attended Western Oklahoma State College and the University of Oklahoma. He moved to Corsicana in 1978 to own and operate Sirloin Stockade. He earned numerous awards during his tenure at Sirloin Stockade. His passion was martial arts, having earned two black belts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, R.C. and Pansy Spear.
Mr. Spear is survived by his wife, Jackie Spear; brother, Steve Spear of Stillwater, Okla.; daughter, Mandy Spear of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Eric and Ashley Carver of Corsicana; daughter, Sarah Carver of Corsicana; daughter, Katie Whitt of Waco; and two grandchildren, Jace Carver and Kyler Carver of Corsicana.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Cindy Lynn Lester Anderson
Cindy Lynn Anderson, 30, of Carrollton passed way Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002 at Parkland Memorial Hospital.
Graveside services will be 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Emmett Cemetery with the Rev. Matt Stroder officiating.
She was born Sept. 27, 1971 in Man, W.V.
Ms. Anderson is survived by her mother, Alice Lester of Carrollton; father, Jimmy Lester Sr. of St. Mary's, W.V.; brother, Jimmy Lester Jr. of Carrollton; son, Stephen Anderson of Carrollton; and stepfather, Shawn Bidwell of Carrolton.

Vant W. Williams Jr.
Vant W. Williams, 81, of Buffalo passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, in Buffalo.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Oglesby officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Vant was born July 7, 1922, in Italy, Texas. He married Margie Jarrett June 2, 1944, in Dallas. Vant served in the Air Force as a pilot during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Air Force in 1960 and returned to Texas to live. He drove a truck for E.O. Barham out of Blooming Grove for over 30 years. He and Margie lived in the Blooming Grove area from 1963 until December 2000. After Margie's death in May 2001, he resided with his daughter in Freestone County where he passed away at home.
He is survived by his son, Vant W. Williams III and wife Lela of Elkhart; daughter, Bettye Freels and husband Ron of Buffalo; grandson, Darrell Cobb of Corsicana; granddaughters, Tammy Ledford of Piedmont, Okla., and Trish Congleton and Traci Roberson of Palestine; step-grandsons, Craig Freels of Apple Valley, Calif., and Jeff Freels of Houston; great-grandsons, Cody Allen Cobb, Jeremy Eugene Roberson, Justin Vant Ledford, Tanner Joe Ledford, Cody Allen Congleton and Willum Freels; great-granddaughters, Courtney Cobb, Taylor Cobb, Madison Roberson and Victoria Ensey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

William Henry McCoy
William Henry McCoy, 58, of Garland passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, at his residence. Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with Brother Bill Honea officiating. Interment will follow at Campbell-Elrod Cemetery. Arrangements by Corley Funeral Home.

Connie Elizabeth Riley
Connie Elizabeth Riley, 55, of Morgan's Point and formerly of Corsicana, passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003, at her residence. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Temple with the Rev. Steve Buchele officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3 p.m. at Oakwood Cemetery in Corsicana. Arrangements by Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, Temple.

Raymond Seifert
Raymond Seifert, 70, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001 at his residence.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with Rev. Kenneth Barber officiating.
Mr. Seifert was born June 18, 1931 in Gonzales, Texas to Lonzo and Annie Seifert. He was a farm worker.
He is survived by his wife, Maggie Seifert and son Larry Seifert, both of Corsicana; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Lolita Kemp
Lolita Kemp, 94, of Kerens passed away Friday, Oct. 19, 2001 at Heritage Oaks in Corsicana.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Paschal Funeral Home in Kerens.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Kerens City Cemetery with the Rev. Van Houser officiating.
She was born June 22, 1907 in West.
Mrs. Kemp is survived by one sister, Mrs. M.H. Smotherman of Navarro Mills; one brother-in-law, Tom Paschal of Corsicana; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Helen N. Pedersen
Helen N. Pedersen, 90, of Dallas and Corsicana, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 8, 2002.
Services will be noon today at Sparkman/Hillcrest Northwest Highway Chapel with the Rev. Bill Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Helen Neville Speers was born March 24, 1912 in Kansas City, Mo. to Lida Ann and Clifton Neville Speers. She married Henry Ibsen Pedersen in Kansas City, Mo. Sept. 24, 1932. Mr. and Mrs. Pedersen moved to Dallas in 1935. They loved to travel and had many adventures as stand-by fliers to exotic locations.
Mrs. Pedersen was a longtime member of the Braniff Auxiliary (Thursday Nighter Group) and Highland Park United Methodist Church, Dialogue Class and Mr. and Mrs. Class. Bridge groups, book clubs, crossword puzzles and spelling bees were favorite pastimes. She treasured her many trips to Kaleo Lodge with her friends. She had been a Dallas resident for 66 years and moved recently to Corsicana to be closer to her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and she loved her family dearly.
She was preceded in death by her husband June 25, 1973; brothers, Clifton and Earl; sisters, Leona, Pauline and Betty; and stepbrother, Lloyd Berry.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Dale Wynn of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Martin and Sandra Pedersen of San Angelo; grandchildren, Cindy Morrison and husband Eric of Bartlesville, Okla., Cathy Hutton and husband Terry of Nyssa, Ore., Randy Wynn and wife Linda of Garland, Chris Wynn and wife Hollie of Corsicana, and David Pedersen of San Angelo; and great-grandchildren, Russell and Matthew Morrison, Brooke and Luke Hutton and Zachary and Noah Wynn.
Memorials may be made be made to Highland Park United Methodist Church or a charity of choice.

Lola Byrd
Lola Byrd, 82, of Kerens passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002 at Kerens Care Center.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Paschal Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Paschal Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Wes Johnson officiating. Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Earthman Resthaven Cemetery in Houston.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Mrs. Byrd was born May 15, 1920 in Ennis.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, C.B. Marta in 1977.
Survivors include her husband, Earnest Byrd of Kerens; daughters, Audrey Faye Koska of Tomball, Mary Ellen Turner of College Station and Lola L. Nevitt of Montalba; sons, Bob Marta of Tomball and C.B. Marta Jr. of Arizona; brother, Al Ewing of Arizona; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.
