Bobby R. Green
Bobby R. Green, 67, of St. Elmo passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Fairfield.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at New Hope Baptist Church in St. Elmo with Dr. Elton McCann officiating. Interment will follow at St. Elmo Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Allen, Earl Dieterich, Bob Bodiford, Carl Ward, Lonnie Byers and Wade Schnell.
Mr. Green was born Oct. 16, 1934 in Ralls to Derrell L. Green and Louise Easter Green. He attended New Hope Baptist Church. He was a former member of U.S. Navy Hurricane Hunters Association during his 20 years in the Navy. He was a member of St. Elmo Masonic Lodge and was a charter member of the Southern Oaks Volunteer Fire Department. He worked with the Tarrant County Water District for over 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his father; brother, Derrell Lee Green Jr.; and sister, Billie Vance.
Survivors include his wife, Beth Green of St. Elmo; mother, Louise Green of Denver City; sons, David Green and wife Dawn Marie of Milton, Fla., Bryan Green and wife Jennifer of Palestine, Daenan Green and wife Mary of Indiana and Bruce Green of Virginia Beach, Va.; stepson, Cory Moore of Pascagoula, Miss.; daughter, Bobette Walker of Odessa; stepdaughters, Kimberly Knight of Streetman and Renee Arias of Amarillo; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and sisters, Ruth Morris and Nelda Rickells, both of Denver City, Frances Moore of Yukon, Okla., and Berti Couch of Amarillo.

Sudie M. Haley
Sudie M. Haley, 78, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2002 at IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Keever Chapel with the Rev. Eddie Ricks officiating. Interment will follow at noon at the Baker Cemetery in Tolosa.
Mrs. Haley was born Oct. 1, 1924 in Center to Marion D. and Mollie Broadway Byrd. She was raised in Center where she attended school. On July 31, 1943 she married Grover Haley. After their marriage they lived in Navarro and Henderson counties. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Survivors include her husband, Grover Haley of Ennis; sons and daughters-in-law, Gary and Sandra Haley of Ennis and Grove Lee and Lisa Haley of Alba; daughters and sons-in-law, Mollie and Jerry Meredith of Terrell and Beth and David Reagan of Ennis; brother, Rayford Byrd of Mesquite; sisters, Edith Wright of Tenaha, Ima Jean Burson of Center, Josephine Johnson of Dallas and Margaret Frazier of Freeport; 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Beulah M. Johnson
Beulah M. Johnson, 79, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2002 at her residence.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Mount Olive Baptist Church with the Rev. Alfred Cox officiating. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be deacons of Mount Olive Baptist Church.
Mrs. Johnson was born March 13, 1923 in Babylon, Texas. She received her education at G.W. Jackson High School. She was a member of Mount Olive Baptist Church for many years where she served as a deaconess.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Roanna Cunningham; husband, LeRoy Johnson; oldest son, Eugene Cunningham; oldest daughter, Gloria Linder; brother, L.D. Cunningham; and sister, Annie Laura Gowans.
Survivors include her daughters, Theresa Brown and Roy Nell Jones and husband Alvin, all of Corsicana; sons, Bobby Tillie and LeRoy Johnson Jr. and wife Celister, all of Corsicana; sisters-in-law, Maeola Oston, Cora Lee Thomas and Thelma Lewis, all of Corsicana; brothers-in-law, Jack Calhoun, Johnnie Calhoun and wife Christine, and Nathaniel Calhoun; nine grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pinkey Vinnielee Carter
Pinkey Vinnielee Carter, 94, of Trinidad passed away Saturday, Oct. 5, 2002 at Cedar Creek Nursing Home in Malakoff.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Mount Vernon AME Church with the Rev. Edward Hunt, pastor, officiating and the Rev. Jeffrey Boggass as eulogist. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Trinidad.
Pallbearers will be Archie Lee Boggass, Frank Stevenson, Anthony Boggass, James Lovette, Corey D. Jenkins and Ulric Stevenson.
Mrs. Carter was born Feb. 7, 1908 in Luling.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John E. Carter; daughter, Addie B. Jackson; son, Willie Carrol Jackson; and granddaughter, Connie McBride.
Survivors include her sister, Pearlie Russell Jenkins of Trinidad; granddaughters, Jeanette Turner and husband Kenneth and Jacquline Spencer; eight great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; stepson, Johnny Carter; sister-in-law, Ira Pearl Jenkins; and many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.

Francis Bryant Fryer
Francis Bryant Fryer, 86, of Fairfield passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 in Fairfield.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield with the Rev. Terry Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
Mr. Fryer was born July 29, 1916 in Freestone County. He was retired from the Texas Department of Transportation having worked 27 years. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John F. and Ella Sneed Fryer; and brothers, Douglas, Jim, William Sidney, Joe and Hugh Fryer.
Survivors include his wife, Lena Mae Ivy Fryer of Fairfield; daughter and son-in-law, Barbara and Bob Price of Fairfield; and grandson and wife, Bryan and Torri Price of Fairfield.

Ruby E. Goff
Ruby E. Goff, 105, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Oct. 10, 2002 at Mel-Haven Convalescent Center.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Ross and Johnson Mortuary Chapel with Elder Lee J. Keeton officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Top Cemetery in Fairfield.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Anderson Durham and Willie Goff; and son, Will Durham.
Survivors include her son, Alonza Durham of Fairfield; sister, Katie Mae Tatum of Fairfield; granddaughters, Timpie Durham of Waco and Jean Durham of Houston; great-grandsons, Keith Durham and Kory Durham; great-great-grandson, Keith Durham Jr.; and other relatives.

Clarence A. Denbow
Clarence A. Denbow, 94, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2002 at the IOOF Nursing Home in Ennis.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at J.E. Keever Mortuary.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Keever Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Jones officiating. Interment will follow at Myrtle Cemetery.
Mr. Denbow was born April 29, 1908 in Chatfield to Thomas D. and Flora Sands Denbow. He was raised in Chatfield where he attended school. After finishing school, he engaged in farming in the Drane community. In April 1929, he married Katie Clements of Mildred. After their marriage they lived in Corsicana. In 1942, he was employed by the Southern-Pacific Railroad. In 1943, they moved to Ennis. He retired in 1974 as a switchman. He was a member of First United Methodist Church where he was very active in the Men's Bible Class.
He was preceded in death by his son, David C. Denbow.
Survivors include his wife, Katie Denbow of Ennis; sons, Billy Denbow and wife Darleene and Bobby Denbow, all of Ennis; brother, Bruce Denbow of Corsicana; sisters, Lacy Paschal, Lola Gilbert and Orene Adams, all of Corsicana; grandchildren, Mark, Dennis, Lesa and Paula; seven great-grandchildren including Melanie Atkinson of Arlington; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Rhonda Dianne Cook Cooper
My beloved daughter and Randon Cooper's mother.
Rhonda, 40, of Copeville, Texas passed away at her home on June 28, 2003. She was born July 5, 1962 in Dallas, Texas.
Rhonda is survived by her son, Randon Cooper of Copeville, Texas; mother and step-father, Jerrye and Jerry Fussell of Nevada, Texas; father, Frank D. Cook of Canton, Texas; brother, Russell Frank Cook; grandparents, J.T. and Jean Magness of Corsicana, Texas, Florence Derovo of Canton, Texas; one aunt, Joan Gipon and husband Jim Gipon of Dallas, Texas; cousins, Rodney Thomas of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Tonya Thomas of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Jana Pulaski of Piano, Texas, Brett Pulaski of Piano, Texas and many more loved ones and friends.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Lavon with the Rev. Clint Bratcher officiating. Interment to follow at the Cana Cemetery in Canton, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Allen Funeral Home.

Aaron Ananias Butcher
Aaron Ananias Butcher, 82, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, June 29, 2003, at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Quiet hour will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Bethlehem Baptist Church in Corsicana.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Shiloh Primitive Baptist Church in Kirvin with the Rev. Bobby Skinner officiating. Interment will follow at Sessions Cemetery in Kirvin.
Pallbearers will be Gregory Butcher, Kevin Butcher, Tramaine Butcher, Rodney Butcher, Terry Douglas and Adolphus Nolan III. Honorary pallbearers will be Samuel Butcher, Clarence Butcher, Arthur Butcher, Charles Barton, Quincy Butcher and Billy Smith.
Mr. Butcher was born Oct. 23, 1920, in Kirvin. He was a retired railroad section hand, retired Corsicana Emergency Corps officer, worshipful master of Andrew Lodge No. 112, reserve officer for Navarro County Sheriff's Department and reserve officer for Corsicana Police Department.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard C. and Autry Consulla Carter Butcher; siblings, Richard Butcher, Napoleon Butcher, Bernice Butcher Starling and Theresa Marie Butcher; and children, Melvin Lee Butcher and Beverly Jo Butcher-Tunstall-Malvern.
Survivors include his devoted wife, Cathelyn F. Butcher of Corsicana; daughters, Patricia Barton (Charles) of Dallas, Thelma Johnson and Seri Nolan of Corsicana and Evelyn Smith (Billy) of Fort Worth; son, Samuel L. Butcher of Corsicana; sisters, Alice Dillard (Elijah), Joyce Doss (Shannon) and Velma Ceasar, all of Dallas; brothers, Arthur Butcher (Jean) of San Antonio, Quincy Butcher (Kim) and Elmer Butcher (Katie) of Troy, Ohio, and Clarence Butcher of Bellwood, Ill.; aunt, Bessie Carter Fowler of Dallas; sisters-in-law, Ida Bell Butcher of Ennis, Betty Butcher of Fort Worth, Johnnie Wallace of Kirvin and Thelma Lewis of Dallas; 22 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
