Oda Alice Black
Oda Alice Black, 86, of Fairfield passed away Friday, March 23, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Terry Skinner of Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield officiating. Interment will follow at Dew Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Mrs. Black was born Sept. 25, 1914 in Jefferson County, Okla. to Samuel and Lula Furguson. She was a retired telephone company operator. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dovard Black; daughter, Bobbie Jo Black; and sister, Juanita Black.
Mrs. Black is survived by her brother, Samuel Lewis Furguson Jr. and wife Elaine of Overton; sister, Elizabeth Speed of Fairfield; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Reynaldo Diaz Gutierrez
Reynaldo Diaz Gutierrez, 51, passed away Friday, March 23, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1949.
Services are pending with Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Alpha "Cat' McConaghie
Alpha "Cat" McConaghie, 80, of Guthrie, Okla. passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001 in Guthrie.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with Dr. Gary W. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Baker, Gerald Baker, Steve Baker, Michael Condra, Timothy Jackson, Harold Pritchett, John Williams and Matthew Williams.
Mrs. McConaghie was born Feb. 7, 1921 in Henderson County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike McConaghie.
Mrs. McConaghie is survived by her daughter, Nelda Condra of Guthrie, Okla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Deanna Pritchett of Guthrie, Okla., James and Carol Pritchett of Royce City, Okla. and Lynn and Patricia Pritchett of Strawn; sisters, Dell Baker of Mustang, Okla. and Dorothy Fahrlander of Prairie Village, Kan.; brother, Joseph Edward Young of Huffman; grandsons, Michael Condra and Harold Pritchett, both of Guthrie, Okla.; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Pritchett, Joseph Pritchett and Kayla Pritchett, all of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Vant W. Williams Jr.
Vant W. Williams, 81, of Buffalo passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003, in Buffalo.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Corley Funeral Home.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Oglesby officiating. Interment will follow at Lone Oak Cemetery.
Vant was born July 7, 1922, in Italy, Texas. He married Margie Jarrett June 2, 1944, in Dallas. Vant served in the Air Force as a pilot during World War II and the Korean War. He retired from the Air Force in 1960 and returned to Texas to live. He drove a truck for E.O. Barham out of Blooming Grove for over 30 years. He and Margie lived in the Blooming Grove area from 1963 until December 2000. After Margie's death in May 2001, he resided with his daughter in Freestone County where he passed away at home.
He is survived by his son, Vant W. Williams III and wife Lela of Elkhart; daughter, Bettye Freels and husband Ron of Buffalo; grandson, Darrell Cobb of Corsicana; granddaughters, Tammy Ledford of Piedmont, Okla., and Trish Congleton and Traci Roberson of Palestine; step-grandsons, Craig Freels of Apple Valley, Calif., and Jeff Freels of Houston; great-grandsons, Cody Allen Cobb, Jeremy Eugene Roberson, Justin Vant Ledford, Tanner Joe Ledford, Cody Allen Congleton and Willum Freels; great-granddaughters, Courtney Cobb, Taylor Cobb, Madison Roberson and Victoria Ensey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Coredith 'Cricket' Brooks
Coredith "Cricket" Brooks, 81, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, Aug. 3, 2003 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home, Corsicana.
Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Memorial Park with Bro. Horace Cobb officiating.
Mrs. Brooks was born Dec. 21, 1921 in Casey, Ken.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leburn Brooks.
Mrs. Brooks is survived by a daughter, Sylvia Cockerham of Corsicana; sons, Shelton Brooks and Mark Brooks, both of Corsicana; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

William Henry McCoy
Services are pending for William Henry McCoy, 58, at Corley Funeral Home. Mr. McCoy passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2003 at his residence in Garland. He was born June 21, 1945 in Galveston.

Edgar Mac Terry
Edgar Mac Terry, 65, of Fairfield passed away Thursday, April 5, 2001 in Fairfield.
Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Terry Skinner of Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield officiating. Interment will follow at Fairfield Cemetery.
Mr. Terry was born Jan. 20, 1936 in Fairfield. He was a rancher and security officer for the Texas Youth Commission. He served in the U.S. Army from November 1958 to July 1963. He was a member of the VFW in Fairfield.
Mr. Terry is survived by his wife, Emilee Terry of Fairfield; daughter, Paula Beth Terry of Fairfield; sons, Michael Lee Terry of Fairfield and Emmett Doyle Terry of Teague; brother, Weldon Terry of Fairfield; sisters, Lola Ben Hollaway of Fairfield and Doris Ann Welch of Teague; seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Wallace Tomlin
Wallace Tomlin, 74, of Corsicana passed away Friday, April 6, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. David McGee officiating and the Rev. Harold Scott assisting. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Mr. Tomlin was born Jan. 1, 1927 in Navarro. He was a car salesman and a veteran of World War II. He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Aubrey and Bessie Tomlin; brothers, Curtis Tomlin, Glen Tomlin and Jerry Tomlin; and sister, Betty Baggett.
Mr. Tomlin is survived by his wife, Helen Tomlin of Corsicana; daughter, Dana Tomlin of Corsicana; and brother and sister-in-law, Lynn and Dene Tomlin of Palestine.

Clara Elizabeth Ganze
Clara Elizabeth Ganze, 93, of Odessa passed away Thursday, April 5, 2001 in Odessa.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Oakwood Cemetery with Ferman Carpenter officiating.
Mrs. Ganze was born Feb. 5, 1908 in Pursley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, August H. Ganze Sr.; and son, Emil Albert Ganze.
Mrs. Ganze is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne E. Ganze and wife Joyce of Boerne and August H. Ganze Jr. and wife Betty of Odessa; sisters, Mattline Barnes of Irving and Dorotha Flynn of Tahoka; granddaughters and husbands, Karen and Steve Bovee of Odessa and Elizabeth and Sean Kavanagh of Hampton, Va.; great-grandson, Ryan Bovee of Odessa; great-granddaughter, Erin Kavanagh of Hampton, Va.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

C.M. "Doc' Sanders
C.M. "Doc" Sanders, 86, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, April 3, 2001 in Corsicana.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Westminster Presbyterian Church with Dr. Robert Young officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Phillip Sanders, Mike Sanders, Steve Sanders, Adam Sanders, John Paul Ross and Tim McClure. Honorary pallbearers will be Dave Rawlson, H.D. Redden, Gene Wood, W.D. Sheppard and James West.
Mr. Sanders was born Oct. 24, 1914 in Beaumont. He was a 50-year member of the Polytechnic Blue Masonic Lodge No. 925. He was a member of Moslah Shrine Temple Worth Commandry No. 19 Knights Templer of Texas in Fort Worth. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
After a long career with Oil City Iron Works and as an independent manufacturer's representative, he retired to start an antique and stained glass shop. In addition to a passion for refinishing furniture, he taught himself to repair and create stained glass. Many pieces of his glass can be found in homes around Corsicana as well as in the Northside Baptist, Faith Lutheran, First Independent Baptist, Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church and Collin Street Bakery.
His reputation with making custom pieces led to commissions from Mobil Oil to create the famous "Pegasus" in glass and the Peace representation from Isaiah for Community of Christ Church in Dallas. After being featured on "4-Country Reporter" with Bob Phillips and "P.M. Magazine," many people from around Texas came to meet him and see his stained glass windows that he referred to as "painting with light."
Survivors include his wife, Jane Sanders of Corsicana; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and John Ritter of Las Colinas; son and daughter-in-law, Nick and Lynda Sanders of Trophy Club; grandson and wife, Wade L. and Anne Sanders of Fort Worth; great-granddaughter, Dallas Suzanne Sanders of Fort Worth; and numerous nieces and nephews.
