Barnie B. Laube
Barnie B. Laube, 88, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Aug. 1, 2002 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Eureka Cemetery with Pastor Tony Neal officiating.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Laube was born Aug. 13, 1913 in Marlin to John Laube and Suzanne White Laube. He served in World War II in the U.S. Army. He was a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Irene Laube of Corsicana; sons, Leonard Laube and wife Trena
Memorials may be made to Mildred Baptist Church Building Fund, 5520 S. U.S. Highway 287, Corsicana, Texas 75109.

Pat DeFord Smith
Pat DeFord Smith, 51, of Plano passed away Monday, July 29, 2002 at her residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church in Highland Park with the Rev. Bill Power officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard.
Ms. Smith was born Nov. 23, 1950 in Dallas and had lived most of her life in Dallas, but had lived in Plano for the past 15 years. She was a graduate of University of North Texas where she majored in interior design. She was an interior designer in the Dallas area and also owned and operated the Nathaniel Barrett Building. She was a member of St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church.
She was preceded in death by her father, James Arthur Scruggs in 1975; and brother, James Stephen Scruggs in 2000.
Survivors include her sons, James Barrett Hale and Nathaniel B. Hale; and her mother, Helen Scruggs, all of Dallas.

Bonnie Lee Clifton
Bonnie Lee Clifton, 73, of Barry passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2002 in Barry.
Services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at White Deer Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Nord officiating. Interment will follow at White Deer Cemetery.
Ms. Clifton was born April 23, 1929 in Miami, Texas. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church in White Deer and loved crocheting and sewing.
Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Diana and Billy Shaw of Lubbock and Roma and Michael Walden of Amarillo; sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Annette Clifton of White Deer, Stanley and Becky Clifton of Barry and Sammy and Julie Clifton of Garden City, Kan.; brothers, Tommie Thornburg of Skellytown, Guy Thornburg Jr. of Sanford-Fritch and Jerry Thornburg of Sanford-Fritch; seven grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren.

Letha Danford Minatra
Letha Danford Minatra, 88, of Georgetown and formerly of Corsicana, passed away Sunday, Dec. 8, 2002 in Georgetown.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Brother Phillip Freeman officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Kevin Stuckly, Joel Danford, Chet Danford, Eugene Fulton, Livy Mills and Carl Hassell.
Mrs. Minatra was born Feb. 27, 1914 in Blooming Grove to Christian and Laura Green Fulton. She worked for Hagger Slacks as a seamstress.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Raymond W. Danford; husband of 17 years, Robert H. Minatra; granddaughters, Debra Kay Stuckly and Tamberly Renee Johns; and great-grandson, Mitchell John Stuckly.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth Raymond and Pansy Danford of Waxahachie; daughter and son-in-law, Anertha Kay and Preston Stuckly of Georgetown; grandchildren, Kevin and Jeanne Stuckly of Georgetown, Joel Danford of Dallas and Chet Danford of Waxahachie; great-grandchildren, Darian Stuckly, Emily Stuckly and Cameron Johns; and sister, Adelia Elder of Dallas.

Billy Bert Ferguson
Billy Bert Ferguson, 69, of Buffalo passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2002 at his residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Fairfield with Bubba Rutherford officiating. Interment will follow at Dew Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Melvin Solomen, Randy Turner, Jimmy Rodgers, Russell Smith, Mike Jordan, Joe Lathem, Jeff Whiteside, Dustin Bragg, Chad Whiteside, Carlton Brantner, Leslie Whiteside and Dickie Ferguson. Honorary pallbearers will be Glen White, Doc Lane, Dink Carter, Roy Hager, Roy Bonner, Asa Prickett, Jimmy Nanny and Lynnie Lane.
Mr. Ferguson was born May 5, 1933 in Mexia.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Ferguson of Langely; sons, Dickie Ferguson, Tony Ferguson and Jason Cooley, all of Langely; daughters, Susan Whiteside of Lanely, Sandra Bragg of Fairfield and Cindy Ezell of Dallas; sisters, JoAnn Barker of Fairfield and Mickey Evans of Denver City; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Helen Earle Franklin
Helen Earle Franklin, 77, of Butler passed away Monday, Dec. 9, 2002 at her residence.
Services were 11 a.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel in Fairfield with the Rev. Robert Seago and Brother Bubba Rutherford officiating. Interment followed at May Cemetery in Butler.
She was born Oct. 5, 1925 in Butler. She was a rancher and a member of Long Lake Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Earnest M. and Etta Franklin.
Survivors include her sister, Eddie Jo Parker of Butler; nephews, Nelson Franklin of Butler, Gerald E. Franklin of Dallas, Michael G. Franklin of Enid, Okla. and Daniel H. Franklin of Oklahoma; and a host of cousins and friends.

Alpha Earle McConaghie
Alpha Earle McConaghie, 80, of Guthrie, Okla. passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001 in Guthrie. She was born Feb. 7, 1921 in Henderson County.
Services are pending with Corley Funeral Home.

Thomas Lee "Tommy' Edmond
Thomas Lee "Tommy" Edmond, 51, passed away March 14, 2001.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Liberty Baptist Church, 219 Avenue A, Dallas. Interment will follow at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Mr. Edmond was born Sept. 16, 1949 to W.T. Edmond Jr. and Mary M. Thomas Edmond. He received his formal education in the Dallas Independent School District. As a child he joined Love Chapel Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. L.C. Smith. After his graduation from high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force and received an honorable discharge.
Mr. Edmond is survived by his son, Tyron Milam; father, the Rev. W.T. Edmond Jr. of Dallas; mother, Mary M. Woods, and stepfather, B.C. Woods of Ennis; second mother, Myrtle Edmond Williams of Corsicana; sisters, Brenda Edmond of Dallas and Gwendolyn Hill and husband Razell of Grand Prairie; brothers and sisters-in-law, Louis and Trudy Edmond of Cedar Hill, Rochester and Felecia Edmond of Dallas, Raymond and Debra Edmond of Corsicana, Johnny and Moretta Edmond of Duncanville and James Glovena Edmond of Dallas; nephews he helped raise, Quwan and Juwan Shields; aunts, Georgia Fay Bables of Dallas, Rosetta Johnson and husband H.B. of Bangor, Calif. and Gloria J. Van of Dallas; uncles, James W. Edmond and wife Ruby Nell of Dallas, David Thomas of Seattle, Wash., Bossie Hooks Jr. of Dallas and Joe C. Edmond and wife Gloria of Japan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Loretta Alice Fraley
Loretta Alice Fraley, 90, of Corsicana passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Brother Curtis Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow at Younger Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be John Fraley, Bob Fock, Dave DeWeirt, Donnie Bruce, Kyle Pearson and Scott Williams.
Mrs. Fraley was born June 7, 1910 in Purdon to Walter and Flora Forshaw. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John W. Fraley in 1978; and sons, Dan Fraley in 1965 and Lewis Fraley in 1995.
Mrs. Fraley is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Sharon Fraley of Corsicana; daughters and sons-in-law, Florene Folk of Belle Chase, La., Lina and Harold Woodard of Corsicana and Frances and Ben Wolle of New Braunfels; brother, W.M. Forshaw of Graham; sister, Lucille Arnett of Arlington; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Louise McNabb
Louise McNabb, 84, of Edgewood passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2001 in Grand Saline.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Herschel LyBrand Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at First Baptist Church in Edgewood with the Revs. David Tomme and Jim Ballard officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
Mrs. McNabb was born July 13, 1916 in Drane, the daughter of the late Mary Ethel Atkinson McDonald and John McDonald. She was valedictorian of Frost High School. She later attended North Texas State Teachers College in Denton. She then taught school in Chatfield and Bryan in Navarro County. She married Jim McNabb June 15, 1938 at Ross Avenue Baptist Church. In 1973, she and her husband moved to Edgewood from Dallas to make their home. She was very dedicated to teaching the young children when she was a member of East Grand Baptist Church in Dallas. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Edgewood where she taught the young children.
She is survived by her husband, Jim McNabb of Edgewood; son, Jim Houston McNabb and wife Nancy Quesada of Austin; daughter, Carolyn Smith and husband Conley of Denver, Colo.; brother, Hugh McDonald of Houston; five grandchildren, Shannon and Wade, Matthew, Andrew and Tyler; and two great-grandchildren, Nathan and Jacob.
