Ruben "Jody' Minatra
Ruben "Jody" Minatra, 74, of Corsicana passed away Monday, March 26, 2001 in Corsicana.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with Dr. Gary W. Johnson and the Rev. Tony Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Eureka Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Richard Rash, Lynn Bottoms, Jason Bottoms, M.R. "Bunk" Bottoms, Hollis Riggs and Paul Mitchell. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenneth Ray, Damon DeMoss, Ronnie Childress, Larry Boswell, Bob Pritchett, Jimmy D. Coker, Jason Coker and Jim Coker.
Mr. Minatra was born August 6, 1926 in Navarro County. He was an oil field pumper.
He was preceded in death by parents, Charlie and Lida Minatra; son, James Marion Minatra; one sister and three brothers.
He is survived by his wife, Fay Minatra of Corsicana; daughters, Nelda and Billy Gorden Jr. of Mildred, Deborah and Thomas Lee Yankie of Mildred and Cheryl Minatra of Dallas; sisters, Onalee Bragg of Athens and Nova Mathis of Brenham; grandchildren, Terry Gorden, Shane Farmer, Melissa Riggs of Mildred, Ruben Yankie of Mildred, Chris Gorden of Corsicana, Tim Gorden of Kerens, and Tony Gorden of Malakoff and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Cedar Creek Hospice.

Ruth Koehler
Ruth Koehler, 73, of Rosebud, passed away Sunday, March 25, 2001, at Navarro Regional Hospital.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.
Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with the Rev. Jack and Mattie Cox and Dr. Gary Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Lee Simmons, Thomas Taylor, James Allen Hickman, Ronnie Hartis and Bob Autrey.
Mrs. Koehler was born Oct. 30, 1927 in Alvin to Allen and Icy Hickman. She was the last child of 11 brothers and sisters. She was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her grandchildren, Alicia Kay Harvey and Rita Diane Harvey; and brothers and sisters, Earnest Hickman, Clareed Taylor, Pauline Shipley, Elmer Hickman, Margaret Simmons, Hazel Bartlett, J.V. Hickman, Verna Mae Phillips, Jesse Hickman and A.D. Hickman.
Mrs. Koehler is survived by her husband, Lenard Koehler of Rosebud; son, Rodney Harvey of Royse City; daughters, Rita Miles of Corsicana and Vickie Weeks of Morgan Hill, Calif.; stepdaughter, Mary Ann Moore of Riesel; nine grandchildren, Tina Davis, Rodney Dale Harvey, Tommy Strickling, Christy Strickling, Stephen Miles, Glenn Moore and Robin McCutcheon; six great-grandchildren, Wryan Davis, Alicia Davis, Daniel Davis, Dalton Davis, Leah Ward and Britney Berry; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy Owen
Dorothy Owen, 78, passed away Monday, March 26, 2001 in Paris. She was born Nov. 27, 1922 in Dallas.
Family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Restland Funeral Home, Greenville Avenue, Dallas.
Services will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday at Restland Wildwood Chapel. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Odell Owen.
Mrs. Owen is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Carol and Joe Hart and Sherry and John Scott; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Carolyn Owen; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and several nieces and nephews.

Alva Dewayne "Bud' Jones
Alva Dewayne "Bud" Jones, 74, of Malone passed away Sunday, March 25, 2001 at his residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Chapel with Alvin Armstrong officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Allan Jones, John Jones, David Jones, Leonard Stewart, Ricky Knight, Vernon Long, Buddy Stewart and Travis Jones.
Mr. Jones was born Oct. 27, 1926 in Chillicothe, Mo. He had been a resident of Malone since 1985 after living in Hubbard since 1975. He was a retired auto mechanic having worked for Waco Brake and Spring Service. He was also a rancher and Army veteran.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean Jones in 1984.
Mr. Jones is survived by his sons, Allan Jones of Leavenworth, Kan., John Jones of China Springs and David Jones of Malone; daughters, Linda Childers of Oletha, Kan., Kathryn Baker of Hubbard, Betty Lou Riley of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Inez Stewart of Mexia; brother, Gary Jones of Chillicothe, Mo.; 27 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchild.

Izetta Weatherby
Izetta Weatherby, 84, of Hubbard passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 in Mexia.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Chapel with the Rev. James Hooper officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard.
Pallbearers will be James Harold Weatherby, Jimmy Weatherby, Steve Weatherby, Joe Frank Bell, Gene Couch and Gerald Cox.
Mrs. Weatherby was born Oct. 25, 1916 in Fort Worth. She was a 1933 graduate of Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, Calif., and also attended Ramona School of Drama in Santa Monica. She married Bryan Weatherby Oct. 25, 1935. She had been a resident of Hubbard since 1935. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Hubbard, Hubbard Garden Club and was a charter member of the Hubbard Hospital Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Bryan Weatherby in 1992.
Mrs. Weatherby is survived by her stepdaughter, Sharon Christopher of Katy; step grandson, Bryan Carter of Herndon, Va.; and step great-granddaughter, Hannah Marie Carter of Herndon, Va.
The family requests memorials be made to the Hubbard Ambulance Fund.

Harriett Ann Finch Curington
Harriett Ann Finch Curington, 62, of Corsicana passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 at her residence.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church with Dr. Jimmy Finley and the Rev. Frank Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Andrew McMullon, Forrest Green, Bob Parrish, Harry Hudson, David Ricker, Bill Johnson, Rudy Carroll, Liston Herod, Mike Kaster, Robert Keathley and Chip Curington.
Mrs. Curington was born Nov. 2, 1938 in Jonesboro, Ark. to John S. and Sarah Finch. She graduated from Corsicana High School and Texas Christian University, and held a master's degree from Southwest Texas State University. She married Paul W. Curington Dec. 7, 1991 in Corsicana. She was an active member of First United Methodist Church in Corsicana and active in the Emmaus movement. Mrs. Curington taught elementary school for 30 years, retiring from Alamo Heights Independent School District of San Antonio in 1990 after 25 years there. She was deeply loved by her family and friends, and was always thinking of others. Her generosity of spirit and sweet smile will stay in her family's memory forever.
Mrs. Curington is survived by her parents, John and Sarah Finch of Corsicana; husband, Paul W. Curington of Corsicana; stepdaughters, Sally Ann Curington Martinez and husband Pete of Helotes and Amy Caroline Curington Bone and husband Mike of Highland Village; grandchildren, Jennifer McGinnis and Wesley McGinnis, both of Corsicana, and Peter Martinez of Helotes; son-in-law, Matt McGinnis of Corsicana; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Permanent Endowment Fund (for repairs to the church), 320 N. 15th St., Corsicana, Texas 75110; American Cancer Society, Navarro County Unit, 200 N. 13th St., Suite 102, Corsicana, Texas 75110; or House of Refuge, 627 W. Julia Mae "Jude' Rae
Julia Mae "Jude" Rae, 86, of Clute passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 in Houston.
Services will be 10 a.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Chet Brake officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mrs. Rae was born March 9, 1915 in Kosse. She was a member of the Baptist church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Johnnie Rae; daughter, Sue Thomason; parents, Clarence and Edna Gunn; sisters, Eloise Bosley and Mayciell Cox; and brothers, Dwain Gunn and W.C. Gunn Jr.
Mrs. Rae is survived by her sisters, Myrtle Hairell of Houston, Edna Earl Price and husband C.W. of Purdon and Dorothy Scroggins of Henderson; grandson, Ray Thomas Thomason and wife Melinda of Wills Point; great-granddaughters, Allison Thomason and Emily Thomason, both of Wills Point; sisters-in-law, Buna Brantner of Houston and Irene Gallagher of Giddings; brothers-in-law, Aubrey Rae of Carmine and Milton Rae of Houston; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Ealy Campbell
Ealy Campbell, 91, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2001 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Center.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Bethlehem Baptist Church, the Rev. Dairy Johnson, pastor, and the Rev. C. Oliver of Pleasant Olive Baptist Church of Malone officiating. S.H. Jemerson will be eulogist.
Family members will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Campbell was born Nov. 15, 1909 in Centerville.
He was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Mr. Campbell is survived by his nephew and niece, Odell Parks Jr. and Mary Parks of Corsicana, and a host of other nephews and nieces and many friends.
