Allan Bryant
Allen Estes Bryant, 89, of Roane, passed away Friday, March 23, 2001.
Services will be 3 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Finley officiating. Burial will follow at the Post Oak Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Bill Davis, Harrison Sloan, Wayne Rose, Earl Ogburn, Earl Bush and Gary Talley.
Allan Estes Bryant was born Nov. 2, 1911, to John J. and Bessie Bryant in Roane. The middle of five children, he attended Corsicana schools, graduating from Corsicana High School. He went on to study at Texas A&M University where he graduated in the Class of 1933. He joined his father's cottenseed business after school, and while traveling, met and fell in love with Josephine Dickinson, a nurse in Fort Smith, Ark. They married on Valentine's Day, 1940. When the U.S. entered World War II, he enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served as an intelligence officer in the South Pacific. Following the war, he returned to his home, wife and young daughter, JoAnn. He owned and operated the Rocking 3 Ranch near Roane and was for many years the rural postman for the area. His life was enriched by his love of gardening, genealogy and the works of Henry Thoreau. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife and two brothers. He is survived by his daughter, JoAnn Bryant of Corsicana; granddaughters, Lisa Jacobs of Dallas and Janet Jacobs of Austin; sisters Moree Frederick of Fort Worth and Katherine Davis of Booneville, Ark and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First United Methodist Church of Corsicana.

Pauline Faughn Schwartz
Pauline Faughn Schwartz, 85, of Teague, passed away Friday, March 23, 2001, at Parkview Regional Hospital in Mexia.
Arrangements pending with Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home in Teague.
Pauline Schwartz was born Aug. 24, 1915, in Corsicana. She lived the last two years and two months in Teague. She was a secretary for the Abell-Hanger Foundation.
She is survived by her son, Mike Schwartz of Teague; brothers, Dr. Joe Highnote of Corsicana and Alfred Highnote of Huntington Beach, Calif. and sister Frances Highnote of Huntington Beach, Calif.

Reynaldo Diaz Gutierrez
Reynaldo Diaz Gutierrez, 51, passed away Friday, March 23, 2001 at Navarro Regional Hospital. He was born Oct. 2, 1949.
Services are pending with Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Oda Alice Black
Oda Alice Black, 86, of Fairfield passed away Friday, March 23, 2001 at East Texas Medical Center in Fairfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Capps Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Terry Skinner of Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield officiating. Interment will follow at Dew Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be friends and family.
Mrs. Black was born Sept. 25, 1914 in Jefferson County, Okla. to Samuel and Lula Furguson. She was a retired telephone company operator. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Fairfield.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dovard Black; daughter, Bobbie Jo Black; and sister, Juanita Black.
Mrs. Black is survived by her brother, Samuel Lewis Furguson Jr. and wife Elaine of Overton; sister, Elizabeth Speed of Fairfield; and a number of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Alpha "Cat' McConaghie
Alpha "Cat" McConaghie, 80, of Guthrie, Okla. passed away Thursday, March 22, 2001 in Guthrie.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Corley Funeral Chapel with Dr. Gary W. Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Providence Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Chad Baker, Gerald Baker, Steve Baker, Michael Condra, Timothy Jackson, Harold Pritchett, John Williams and Matthew Williams.
Mrs. McConaghie was born Feb. 7, 1921 in Henderson County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike McConaghie.
Mrs. McConaghie is survived by her daughter, Nelda Condra of Guthrie, Okla.; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy and Deanna Pritchett of Guthrie, Okla., James and Carol Pritchett of Royce City, Okla. and Lynn and Patricia Pritchett of Strawn; sisters, Dell Baker of Mustang, Okla. and Dorothy Fahrlander of Prairie Village, Kan.; brother, Joseph Edward Young of Huffman; grandsons, Michael Condra and Harold Pritchett, both of Guthrie, Okla.; and great-grandchildren, Ashley Pritchett, Joseph Pritchett and Kayla Pritchett, all of Oklahoma City, Okla.

Cleo Howard
Cleo Howard, 95, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, June 21, 2003 in Corsicana.
Services will be 2 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tony Neal officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Randy Howard, John Howard, Archie Turpin, Kenneth Howard, Rodney Turpin, Fred Jernigan and Sam Bradshaw.
Mrs. Howard was born Nov. 17, 1907 in Limestone County to James Henery and Clara Morton Cates.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John O. "Bill" Howard; and son, Bill Howard.
Mrs. Howard is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Dewitt and Delma Howard of Jonesboro and James and JoAnn Howard of Navarro Mills; grandchildren, June and Archie Turpin of Houston, Elaine and Fred Jernigan of Corsicana, Kenneth and Vonda Howard of Corsicana, Peggy and Rodney Robinson of San Antonio, Randy and Paige Howard of Navarro Mills, and John Howard of Navarro Mills; nine great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Wynona Howard of Corsicana; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Paulyne Robertson
Paulyne Robertson, 90, of Dawson passed away Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Heritage Oaks Retirement Village in Corsicana.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Wade Funeral Home in Hubbard.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Wade Funeral Chapel in Hubbard with the Rev. Bobby Joyce and the Rev. Brad Dancer officiating. Interment will follow at Dawson Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Darryl Rogers, Cris Robertson, Jeff Robertson, Andy Robertson, Mike Joyce and Johnny Ross.
Mrs. Robertson was born Aug. 28, 1912 and raised in Bomarton, Knox County, Texas. She lived in Red Springs for 27 years where she farmed and ranched with her husband. Mrs. Robertson also owned and operated Robertson's Coin Laundry in Corsicana for 20 years. She was a resident of Corsicana for 40 years and a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Corsicana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Austin Robertson in 1990; and a granddaughter, Leza Carol Robertson in 1991.
Mrs. Robertson is survived by sons, Henry Bryon Robertson and wife Gayle of Bagwell, Joe Earl Robertson and wife Dianna of Powderly, Gary Don Robertson and wife Kay of Colleyville, and Larry Gene Robertson and wife Patricia of Fort Worth; daughter, Becky Rogers and husband Ray of Dawson; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

J.N. (Neil) Haynie
J.N. (Neil) Haynie, 82, of Corsicana passed away Sunday, June 22, 2003 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.
Services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Bob Webb and Dr. David Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Glen Smith, Jody Thomas, Fritz Kloecker III, Curtis Ivie, Osye Pritchett and Tim Vickery.
Mr. Haynie was born Oct. 16, 1920 to Virgil Thomas and Maudie O. Ray Hanie at Phillips Chapel, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, and son, Bruce Haynie.
Mr. Haynie is survived by his wife, Gerry Haynie of Corsicana; son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Lori Haynie of Corsicna; son, Byron Haynie of Corsicana; daughter and son-in-law, Betsy and Matt Stroder of Corsicana; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to Northside Baptist Church Sound System.

Marion Roy Green
Marion Roy Green, 79, of Frost passed away Sunday, June 22, 2003 at Navarro Regional Hospital in Corsicana.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Blooming Grove.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at United Methodist Church in Frost. Interment will follow at Frost Cemetery.
Mr. Green was born Oct. 13, 1923 in Emmett. He was a member of Frost United Methodist Churc; a former trustee of the Frost Independent School District; chairman of trustees at Frost United Methodist Church; and chairman of the board at Frost United Methodist Church. He was retired from Regal International. Mr. Green was an U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
He was preceded in death by a son, Ricky Lynn Green.
Mr. Green is survived by his wife, Bobbie Jean Green of Frost; son and daughter-in-law, Roy Edward and Maria Green of Fayetteville, Texas; and two grandchildren, Benjamin Roy Green of College Station and Sally Jane Green of West.
