Marietta Agnes Smith, 73, of Pueblo, Co., passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003, in Pueblo, Co. Services are pending with Corley Funeral Home.

William Lee Worthington
William Lee Worthington, 40, of Angus passed away Sunday, March 23, 2003, in Navarro County. Services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church in Seymour with the Rev. Charles Chandler and the Rev. Glenn Shock officiating. Interment followed at Riverview Cemetery in Seymour. Arrangements by Seymour Memorial Funeral Home.

Lorena Vaughan Dawson
Lorena Vaughan Dawson, 82, of Navarro Mills passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 at her residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home in Corsicana.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Dresden Cemetery.
Mrs. Dawson was born June 25, 1920 in Winnsboro to James R. and Clara Mantooth Vaughan. She had been a resident of Navarro Mills for 31 years.
Survivors include her husband, Clarence R. Dawson of Navarro Mills; sons, Robert L. Dawson of Frost, Clarence B. Dawson and wife Ann of Brenham, and David R. Dawson Sr. and wife Diane of Mesquite; daughters, Christine Page and husband Shelton of Navarro Mills and Brenda Reed and husband Audie of Mineola; brother, James Vaughan of Paris; sister, Iva Guthrie of Rice; 16 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

James G. Page
James G. Page, 84, of Blooming Grove passed away Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2003 in Corsicana.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Blooming Grove.
Services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Blooming Grove with the Rev. Bill Oliver officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Don McGraw, Ronald Lynch, Ricki Crenshaw, Roger Alderman, Kenneth Southard and Hugh Nicholson.
Mr. Page was born June 24, 1918 in Silver City to Gordon W. and Eula Alderman Page.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, David and Cendi Page and Kelly and Marsha Page, all of Blooming Grove, and Craig and Debbie Page of Teague; daughter, Jennifer Jones of Blooming Grove; seven grandchildren; and sisters, Melba Winfield of Georgetown and Elsie Bell of McAllen.

Geneva Tackitt
Geneva Ellen Tackitt, 70, of West Plains, Mo. passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 in NHC Health Care in West Plains.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Robertson-Drago Funeral Home in West Plains, Mo.
Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Central Church of Christ with Evangelist Cliff Stewart officiating. Interment will follow at Amy Cemetery.
Mrs. Tackitt was born June 11, 1932 at Homeland near West Plains, Mo., to Lee Jefferson and Minnie Estie Linthicum Marshell. She was a graduate of Drury College in Springfield, Mo., and had been employed as a bookkeeper and accountant. She was a loving mother and very cherished sister who was always striving to do her best.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl Marshell; and son-in-law, Donald McCamey.
Survivors include her children, Leland Tackitt and wife Vicki and Kevin Tackitt and wife Madonna, all of West Plains, Mo., Keith Tackitt and wife Brenda of Bakersfield, Mo., and Lisa McCamey of Frost; brother, Roy Marshell and wife Ola Mae of West Plains, Mo.; eight grandchildren, two step grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society and may be mailed to Robertson-Drago Funeral Home, 211 W. Main, West Plains, MO 65775.

Stella Johnapelus
Stella Johnapelus, 77, of Corsicana passed away Monday, Jan. 20, 2003 in Dallas.
Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Oakwood Cemetery with the Rev. Dean E. Wolfe officiating.
She was born May 6, 1925 in Corsicana.
Survivors include her brother and sister-in-law, Tom and Doris Johnapelus of Houston; sisters, Tula Johnapelus and Vina Kleinman, both of Dallas; and several nieces and nephews.
Contributions may be made to St. Michael's and All Angels Episcopal Church, 8011 Douglas, Dallas, TX 75225; or VNA Hospice, 1440 Mockingbird, Dallas, TX 75247.

Margaret Faye McIver Hightower
Margaret Faye McIver Hightower, 90, of Corsicana passed away Saturday, Jan. 18, 2003 at Heritage Oaks West.
Visitation will be noon to 7 p.m. today at M.R. Smith Parlor for Funerals.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Thursday at New Cornerstone Baptist Church with Pastor D.R. Watson officiating.
Mrs. Hightower was born April 4, 1912 in Midland, Ark. She was a member of New Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, president of the deaconess board and mother of the church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Victoria McIver; brothers Clarence, William and Leon; and sisters Mary Wilson and Betty Bush.
Survivors include son Trevon X. Hightower of Corsicana; nephew John Wilson of Seattle, Wash.; special cousin Lawrence Richardson of Kansas; brother-in-law Lee Hightower of California; sister-in-law Dorothy Bradford and husband Percy and Jerline McDonald, all of Corsicana; and a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Ruby Clifton Rawlings
Ruby Clifton Rawlings, 90, of Kennedale passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 in Fort Worth.
Services will be 1 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughton Chapel in Blooming Grove with Rev. Joe Dowdy officiating. Interment will follow Frost Cemetery.
Survivors include her sons, Gerald Rawlings of Rio Vista, Raymond Rawlings of Bedford and Wayne Rawlings of Kennedale; daughters, Doris Noles of Kennedale and Joann Dover of Garland; brother, Douglas Clifton of Frost; sisters, Louise Skinner of Hillsboro and Juanita Matthews of San Angelo; 12 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Lerlene Brooks
Lerlene Brooks, 81, of Longview passed away Friday, Nov. 29, 2002 in a Longview nursing center.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Rader Funeral Home, 1617 Judson Road, Longview.
Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Rosewood Park Cemetery in Longview with the Rev. Merrell Brooks officiating.
Mrs. Brooks was born Sept. 20, 1921 in Purdon to William J. and Willie Lena Barnes. She was a homemaker and a member of Woodland Hills Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Leonard Wade Brooks of Longview; daughter, Judy Ritchie and husband Bobby of Longview; brother, Ben J. Barnes of Tucson, Ariz.; sisters, Zerlene Healy of Lindale, Cecil Ruth Parsons of Plano and Margie Dale of El Paso; and many nieces and nephews.

Chester Louis 'Matt' Matthews
Chester Louis "Matt" Matthews, 80, of Mount Calm passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2002 at his residence.
Family will receive friends all day today at Wade Funeral Home prior to the service.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Fairview Cemetery in Hubbard with Jimmy Sid Jones officiating.
Mr. Matthews was born Dec. 20, 1921 in Hubbard and was a 1939 graduate of Coolidge High School. He had lived in Mount Calm for the past three years and prior to that time had lived in College Station. Mr. Matthews was retired from the U.S. Navy and had served as a chief yeoman in World War II. Later, he worked as a cryptographer for the National Security Agency. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed the news. He had a very active mind and was a very kind and gentle person. He was a Baptist.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Hill Matthews in 1967; son, David Matthews in 1970; and sister, Jo Gilliam in 1981.
Survivors include his daughter, Jo Ann Matthews Parker of College Station; brother, Leslie L. Matthews of Kilgore; grandchildren, Tracy L. McGaugh of Houston and Stephen H. Parker Jr. of Austin; great-grandchildren, Emma Jane McGaugh of Houston; and special Friends, Gloria and Buddy Leathers and Johnny and Peggy Leathers, all of Mount Calm.
