Dartanian James Walker Sullivan
Dartanian James Walker Sullivan, 10 months, of Red Oak and formerly of Dawson, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at a Lancaster hospital.
Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Dawson Cemetery with Bishop Gary Clark officiating.
He was born Jan. 6, 2001 in Corsicana. He attended Waxahachie Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his father, Scot Anthony Sullivan of Red Oak; mother, Rachel Ann Bivins Sullivan of Red Oak; paternal grandmother, Tricia Bradley of Red Oak; paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, Glen and Jadean Sullivan of Dawson; maternal grandparents, Tim and Deborah Bivins of Purdon; brothers, Kevin Scot Sullivan of Palmer, Sabastian Anthony Sullivan and Kragan Drake Sullivan, both of Red Oak; sister, Crystal Megan Sullivan of Palmer; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Dartanian Sullivan Memorial Fund, in care of South Trust Bank, P.O. Box 670, Red Oak, Texas 75154.

Ralph McCulloch Sr.
Ralph McCulloch Sr., 68, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001.
Graveside services will be 3 p.m. today at Hamilton-Beeman Cemetery with Brother Bill Honea officiating.
Mr. McCulloch was born Dec. 6, 1932 in Navarro Mills to Bennie and Velma McCulloch. He served in Korea with the U.S. Army. He was a truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma McCulloch; sisters, Ruth McCulloch and Lucy Roloff; and son, Ralph McCulloch Jr.
Survivors include his father, Bennie McCulloch of Dawson; sons and daughters-in-law, Pete and Tammy McCulloch of Purdon and Phillip and Amy McCulloch of Corsicana; daughters, Peggy Moore, Pam Barnes, Pat Fowler and husband Paul, and Page Jones, all of Corsicana; brother, M.B. McCulloch of Burleson; sister, Karen Taylor of Dallas; 22 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to American Hospice, 200 N. 13th St., Suite 115, Corsicana, Texas 75110.

Cecil Lamar "Tex' Melton
Cecil Lamar "Tex" Melton, 79, of Corsicana passed away Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2001 at his residence.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Griffin-Roughon Funeral Home.
Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Dr. David Hale officiating. Interment will follow at Dresden Cemetery.
Grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers.
Mr. Melton was born Oct. 6, 1922 in Dresden to James Grover and Amanda Lou Melton. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church. He was an auto repairman and a member of the Odd Fellows.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and five sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Melton of Corsicana; daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn and David Boulter, Clara and Robert Machal and Deborah and David Knavel; sons, Brent Melton and Mike Melton; brothers, Dean Melton and Grover S. Melton; sisters, Lorean McCulloch and Syble Malone; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ella Billie Robinson
Ella Billie Robinson, 86, of Streetman passed away Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001 at Fairview Manor Nursing Home in Fairfield.
Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Macedonia Baptist Church, corner of Ross and Marsh streets, Streetman, with the Rev. Joe D. Hubbard Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Streetman.
Pallbearers will be Alvin Packer, Bennie Robinson, Curtis Robinson and Willie Jackson.
She was born July 25, 1915 in Streetman. She was a member of the Field Court No. 381 Heroines of Jericho in Streetman. She was a faithful member of Macedonia Baptist Church until her health failed. She loved her church and would look forward to Wednesday night and Sunday services.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain G. Robinson and Bessie Robinson; and brothers, Jimmie L. Robinson and Fred Robinson.
Survivors include her son, Roosevelt Taylor and wife Malinda of Dallas; sisters, Lou Brown and Shirley Hart, both of Dallas, and Bessie Robinson of Fairfield; brothers, Melvin Robinson and wife Ruby of Dallas, Clint Robinson and wife Mae Frances and Curtis Robinson, all of Streetman, and Bennie Robinson and wife Brenda of Fairfield; sister-in-law, Pearl B. of Dallas; a host of nieces including Jannie Sanford and husband Ron of Plano, nephews and cousins.

Fred Allison
Fred Allison, 82, of Midland, passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001 in Santa Monica, Calif.
Services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Ellis Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Tommy Potter of the First Christian Church officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Joe Henderson, Gordon Knox, Bill Probrandt, Joe Leyva, Robert Whitt and Eric Tabb.
Mr. Allison was born June 4, 1919 in Corsicana to Fred and Dolly Allison. He attended Texas A&M University where he studied animal husbandry. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II serving in India, China and Burma (where he helped in building the Burma Road). Mr. Allison came to West Texas several years after the war to drill for oil while still operating the Allison Ranch in Corsicana. He owned and operated Estoril Producing Corporation as well as several other oil and gas entities, retiring in 1989.
His love for travel carried him around the world many times and often to his beloved Hawaii. He enjoyed California and spent most of his later years in Santa Monica.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Freddy Allison of Midland and Bill Allison of Shawnee, Okla.; step-sons, Chris Juaz and Shawn Juaz; grandchildren, Karey Hopkins and Phillip Allison and one great granddaughter Allison Hopkins.
Memorials may be made to the Midland SPCA, P.O. Box 4371, Midland, Texas 79704.

Claudia Estelle Goff Mays
Claudia Estelle Goff Mays (Gladys Faye Mays), 61, of Dallas passed away Saturday, Oct. 6, 2001.
Wake services will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 1950 Canada Drive, Dallas.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Burning Bush Baptist Church, 4943 Bonnie View, Dallas, with the Rev. Johnny Brown officiating. Interment will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park in Dallas.
Mrs. Mays was born April 26, 1940 in Kerens.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Goff and Lillian M. Hurd; sisters, Louise and Jessie; husband, Alton Mays Jr.; son, Myron E. Mays.
Mrs. Mays is survived by her uncle, James Hurd; brothers, Alton Goff, Afton Goff and Ray A. Goff; sister-in-law, Lois Goff; niece, Joyce Chandler; nephew, David Crittendon; sons, Akeem A. Jami and Dwight G. Mays and wife Vicki R. Mays; daughters, Pamela K. Hill, Gloria B. Cook, Ceylon R. Mays, and Connie F. Mays; special family and friends, Dovie M. Davis, Eugene McMullen, Levesta Starks, Debra Ladd, Connie Y. Hartfield, Willi D. Smith; 12 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren.

Claude M. Lane
Claude M. Lane, 58, of Mansfield, La. and formerly of Corsicana, passed away Monday, Oct. 8, 2001 in Mansfield, La.
Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Griffin-Roughton Chapel with Nathan Andrews officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
Mr. Lane was born Jan. 29, 1943 in Blooming Grove to J.A. and Lizzie Lane. He graduated from Corsicana High School in 1961. He was a former city commissioner and mayor pro-tem of the city of Corsicana. Mr. Lane was also a 3rd Degree Mason and a Shriner. Mr. Lane raised his family in the East Texas area where he served in numerous civic organizations. He spent his career in the food service, the past 17 years as the Taylor Freezer and Nieco Broiler distributor for Northern Louisiana and was the owner of Lane Commercial Equipment in Shreveport, La.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Jim Lane.
Mr. Lane is survived by his wife of 39 years, Janie Andrews Lane; daughters, Cheri Lane of Grand Saline, Rhonda Wilson and husband Terry of Van; sons, Clyde Lane Jr. and wife Regina of Tyler, Chris Lane and wife Laura of Tyler, and Matthew Lane of Mansfield, La.; grandchildren, Erin and Lauren Gaskey, Cameron Lane, Jacob and Ashten Lane, Whitney and Andy Wilson, and Mercedes Lane; in-laws, G.H. and Ann Andrews of Corsicana; brothers, Derwood, Bruce, Robert and Buford Lane; sisters, Mary Ryno and Emma Vinson; and numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Ruth Ramsey Scholarship Fund in memory of J.A. and Liz Lane at Blooming Grove High School in Blooming Grove.

James Willie Harris
James Willie Harris, 67, of DeSoto passed away Thursday, Oct. 4, 2001 at Integrated Health Services of Dallas.
Wake services will be 7 p.m. today at Ross and Johnson Mortuary Chapel.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Second Mission Baptist Church, 909 S. Fifth St., Corsicana, with Elder Charles Washington officiating. Interment will follow at Dallas/Fort Worth National Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Cedrick Washington, Donnell Washington, Willie Clayborne, Ricky Washington, Maceo Baston Jr. and Otis Hood Jr. Honorary pallbearers will be Royell Washington, Robert Washington, Keithen Washington, Charles Washington, Adrian Washington, Travis Hood, Larry Lacy, James Ward, Leon Washington, Donald Washington, Maceo Baston Sr., Jeffery Washington, Rainey Hood and Donald Washington II.
Mr. Harris was born April 8, 1934 in Corsicana. He retired after 20 years of service in the United States Air Force, and also retired from Richardson and Dallas Independent School districts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Annie Harris; brothers, Walter Harris and Grady Harris; and sisters, Leoda Webb and Elsie Washington.
Mr. Harris is survived by his daughters, Vivian Ann Shaikh and Sherry Jean Hulin of Dallas; stepson, Rossye Carroll of Arlington; grandchildren, Patrice Shontell Harris of San Antonio, Kualan Anthony Hulin of Dallas and Rosslyn Chante Carroll of Arlington; sisters, Tiny Ward, Essie D. Lacy, both of California, and Alice Hood of Tyler; nephews, Royell Washington of Fairburn, Ga., and Charles Washington, Donald Washington and Robert Washington, all of Corsicana; nieces, Joyce Ann Baston and Susie Hood, both of Dallas, and Betty Lamerl Washington of Corsicana; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, great-great-nieces and nephews, cousins and other relatives.
