Will Armstrong
CADDO MILLS - Will Lee "Bill" Armstrong, 76, of Caddo Mills died Monday in Carrollton. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Rentfrow Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ray Spencer officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Son of James Franklin Armstrong and Donnie Alma Speck Armstrong, he was born July 20, 1924 in Baldwyn, Miss. He married Cecilia Ostapchuk on Oct. 25, 1963 in Grand Prairie. Mr. Armstrong served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a retired self-employed parts inspector.
Survivors include his wife of Caddo Mills; stepson Sam Allen Morris of Issaquah, Wash.; two daughters, Patricia Hazel of Tupelo, Miss. and Karla Armstrong of Frisco; a brother, James Armstrong of Independence, Ore.; sisters Opal Hatfield, Pauline Counce and Mildred Reeves, all of Booneville, Miss. and Charlene Johnson of Wheeler, Miss.; two grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Ruby; a brother, Arvil Armstrong and a son, Terry Lee Armstrong.

Eric Coker
COMMERCE - Eric Lee Coker, 28, of Commerce died Friday in Hopkins County. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Mankin Cemetery in Tool.
Born Dec. 17, 1971 in Athens, he was the son of Lee Coker and Elva Lee Brown Coker. Mr. Coker was a teaching assistant at Texas A&M University in Commerce.
Surviving are brothers Cody Tidwell of Nacogdoches and J.D. "Corky" Johnson Jr. of Athens and sisters Sharon Reynolds of Frankston and Vickie Rapec of Houston.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1985 and his mother in 2000.

Birdie Fulenwider
WOLFE CITY - Birdie Aline Fulenwider, 86, of Commerce, former longtime Wolfe City resident, died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce following a lengthy illness. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Richard Deteau officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
She was born Nov. 8, 1914 in Wolfe City to Willis Lovid Burton Woods and Cora Lee Onstott Woods. Widowed in 1963, she later married Roy Fulenwider in Durant, Okla. and he preceded her in death in 1986.
Mrs. Fulenwider was a retired seamstress.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Marshall Wallace of Cumby; two sisters, Margaret Moore of Wolfe City and Bessie Dunson of Granbury; brother and sister-in-law Ray and Fay Woods of Burleson; seven grandchildren and spouses, Vernon and Shirley Melton of Caddo Mills, Nancy and Danny McClure of Commerce, Roger Melton and Terri Goodwin of Greenville; Cora Lynn and Dwayne McAbee of Caddo Mills and Paul Kevin Banks and John Aaron Burks of Little Rock, Ark.; 18 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Great-grandchildren are pallbearers.
Visitation is 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Clarice Gardner
WOLFE CITY - Clarice Gardner, 78, of Wolfe City died Sunday at her residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at West Main Church of Christ with Henry Edgington and Wallace Mynatt officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Gardner was born Feb. 8, 1922, in Leonard, the daughter of Richard Wines and Birdie Mead Macon. She was married to Dwight Gardner on June 7, 1941 in Leonard.
Mrs. Gardner was retired from Henington Studio and was a member of the West Main Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband of Wolfe City; daughters and sons-in-law, Jean and Gary Erwin of Spring, Joan and Ronald Cole of Carrollton and Jan Clayton of Carrollton; seven grandchildren, Ged Erwin, Meredith Hendrix, Monica Erwin, Chad Cole, Jason Cole, Heather Clayton and Amy McElfish; one great-grandson, Stenson Cole, and one sister, Frances Hughes of Dickinson.
Grandsons are pallbearers.
R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

S.M. Worley
FARMERSVILLE - S.M. Worley, 77, of Farmersville died Sunday in Plano. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Rev. John Hudson will officiate.
The son of Sam Worley and Mary Elizabeth Reed Worley, he was born June 23, 1923 in Verona.
Mr. Worley had been employed by Farmersville Grain. He was a Baptist.
Mr. Worley is survived by two sisters, Alice Boles of Mesquite and Effie Woods of Fort Worth and brothers Lawrence L. Worley of Plano, Richard Worley of Parker and John Worley of Farmersville.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville.

Mona Bushfield
EMORY - Mona Bushfield, 72, of Emory died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Winnsboro. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home with Rev. Artis Banks officiating. Burial is in Emory City Cemetery.
Mrs. Bushfield was born Nov. 4, 1928, in Tennessee; the daughter Algie David and Octa Agee Sumers. She was married to George Bushfield on March 3, 1972 in Las Vegas, Nev.
She was a Methodist and a homemaker.
Surviving are her husband of Emory; three daughters; two brothers; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers are Kermit Coggshall, John Gorman, Jerry Nickerson, Don Kirkham, Cone Golden and Paul Leslie.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Clarice Gardner

Eva Hales
QUINLAN - Eva. B. Hales, 88, of Quinlan died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Qunlan LyBrand Funeral Home with Dr. Mark Chadwick officiating. Burial is in West Memorial Park.
Mrs. Hales was born May 26, 1912, in Kaufman County; the daughter of John Martin and Donna Harper Easley. She was married to James Frank Hales in 1930 in Rockwall County.
Mrs. Hales was a member of Faith Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter No. 170, in Quinlan. She was a homemker.
Surviving are daughters Wand Durr of Rockwall, Melba Green of Sherman, Charlotte Lowrance of Mesquite, Linda Elliott and Frankie Graves, both of Qunilan and Patsy Mignone of Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by brothers, Walter Easley, Arthur Easley, Bon Easley and Fred Easley; and sister, Beulah Ware.

John Lovelady
John L. Lovelady, 46, of Greenville died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth Ballard, Rev. Chris Shaffer and Charles Flowers officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Mr. Lovelady was born Dec. 14, 1953, in Oklahoma City, Okla.; the son of Youl John and Leona Lane Lovelady. He married Denise Kirtley on Aug. 18, 1972 in Midwest City, Okla.
Mr. Lovelady was an aircraft assembler at Raytheon for 19 years and a member of the House of Prayer.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; parents of Sawyer, Okla.; daughters, Amy Page of Senatobia, Miss. and Rachel Qualls of Greenville; brother, Danny Lovelady of Midwest City, Okla.; and sisters, Virginia Russell of Byars, Okla. and Kathy Shaffer of Oklahoma City, Okla.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Lovelady.
Pallbearers are Thomas Hunt, Jerry Stevens, Ray Hicks, Glynn Black, Jimmy Day and Darrell Gornto.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Virgie Marks
LEONARD - Virgie Marks, 75, of Leonard died Saturday at the Greenville Health and Rehab Center. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Monday at Leonard Cemetery.
Mrs. Marks was born Aug. 3, 1925, at Valley Creek; the daughter of John S. and Rita Moreland McCorstin. She was married to Buddy Marks on June 23, 1946, in Leonard.
She was a Baptist and a housewife.
Surviving are her husband of Leonard; daughters, Judy Earwood of Richardson and Pam Starkey of McKinney; sisters, Ina Berry and Addie Lorance, both of Greenville, and Bernice Hutchins of Leonard; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Alyne Ruff
LEONARD - Alyne Ruff, 87 of Leonard and formerly of Celeste, died Saturday at Leonard Nursing Home. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Monday at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ed Lee officiating. Burial is at Celeste Cemetery.
Born Nov. 20, 1913 in Celeste, she was the daughter of Frank Henderson Aven and Sarah Pierson Aven.
She was retired from Hennington, Inc. and was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Celeste.
She is survived by her husband, Orvil L. "Jack" Ruff of Leonard, and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is today from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Johnny Cox
FARMERSVILLE - Johnny Ray Cox, 84, of Farmersville died Friday. A graveside service is set for 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Cemetery in Copeville. Rev. Bart Barber and Rev. Russell Moore will officiate at the service.
Born Aug. 15, 1916 in Nevada, he was the son of Joseph Arthur and May Philpott Cox. He married Estelle Laverne Oliver on June 9, 1934 in Copeville.
Mr. Cox served in the U.S. Air Force. He was a minister and was a member of First Baptist Church in Farmersville.
Surviving are his wife of Farmersville; a daughter, Connie Adams of Farmersville; two sons, Jerry Cox of Princeton and Donald Cox of Clarksville; brother Edgar Cox of Garland; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville.

Robert Cook
FARMERSVILLE - Robert Lee Cook, 85, of Dallas died Wednesday. There is a graveside service at 3 p.m. Saturday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Farmersville.
The son of Jesse Cook and Hallie Yeatts Cook, he was born May 12, 1915 in Josephine. On April 24, 1933 he married Wilma Sims Cook in Sherman.
Mr. Cook was the retired owner of Alwon Plumbing. He was a member of Highland Oaks Church of Christ in Dallas.
Surviving are his wife of Dallas; two daughters, Rheby Cook of Dallas and Vickey Chapman of Farmersville; sons Perry Joe Cook and Freddy Cook, both of Greenville; a sister, Edith Wooten of Ennis; brother Jerry Don Cook of Wichita Falls; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home.

Jerry Cornelius
DALLAS - Jerry Cornelius, 68, of Dallas died Monday. A graveside service is set at 11 a.m. Saturday at Memoryland Memorial Park in Greenville with pastor Kirk Jonesofficiating.
He was born April 10, 1932 in Dallas to Clyde P. and Velma B. May Cornelius.
Mr. Cornelius was a police officer with the Dallas Police Department and was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by a nephew, Michael Mooney of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada and a cousin, Larry Cornelius of Quinlan.
Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Mollie Macon
LEONARD - Funeral services for Mollie Lou Macon, 92, of Leonard are at 2 p.m. today at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Wrenn and Sam Dilbeck officiating. Burial is in the Leonard Cemetery.
Mrs. Macon died Wednesday in the Leonard Nursing Home.
She was born Nov. 28, 1908 in Chalk Mountain, daughter of Will West and Annie Hamic West. She and Weldon Macon were married on March 3, 1925 in Greenville.
Mrs. Macon was an aide at the Leonard Nursing Home and was a member of the Leonard Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband of Leonard; a sister, Allene McClendon of Leonard and brother Tom West of Raymondville.

Belinda Matheny
QUINLAN - Belinda C. Matheny, 33, of Forney, died Wednesday at her residence. Funeral services are at 4:30 p.m. today at Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Roger Ratliff officiating.
She was born in VanNuys, Calif. on Sep. 13, 1967, daughter of Roy and Anna Parrish.
Surviving are her father of Forney; a son, Steven Matheny of Quinlan; daughter Lora Matheny of Quinlan; a brother, Terry Parrish of Rowlett and a sister, Shannon Duncan of Quinlan.
Visitation is today until time of service.

Bobbie Henry
BURLESON - Funeral services for Bobbie Henry, 50, were Wednesday afternoon in Guardian Funeral Home.
Mrs. Henry, a homemaker, died Sunday in Fort Worth.
She was born Oct. 28, 1950, to Davis and Nell McDonald.
Surviving are her husband of 16 years, Bob Henry of Burleson; a son, Jeff Wood of Chandler; daughter, Krysti Baxter of Burleson; her mother, Nell McDonald of Joshua; sisters, Donna Bost of Caddo Mills, Carolyn Kent of Grapeland and Jo Ellen McDonald of Joshua; one granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her father, of Caddo Mills.

Billie Terrell
QUINLAN - Services for Billie Louise Terrell, 81, of Duncanville are at 2:30 p.m. Friday in Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Jones officiating. Burial is in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Quinlan.
Mrs. Terrell died Tuesday in Dallas.
She was born Nov. 26, 1919, in Hunt County to John and Katie Evens Vance. She was a grocery store checker and a Baptist.
Surviving are two sons, Michael Moore and Gene Moore; one daughter, Glenda Jennings; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Hoye Terrell, and one son, Harold Moore.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home.

Lois Thompson
FORT WORTH - Services for former Greenville resident Lois H. Thompson, 85, of Haltom City are at 9:30 a.m. Friday in Mount Olivet Funeral Home Chapel.
A graveside service is at 1 p.m. in Forest Park Cemetery in Greenville.
Mrs. Thompson died Tuesday in a Fort Worth nursing home.
A homemaker, she was a member of Lakeview Baptist Church.
Surviving are a son, Albert Thompson; grandchildren Janet Lynn Thompson, Debra S. Schoman, Johnny E. Thompson; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delmer, and sons Michael and Delmer E. Thompson.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today in the funeral home at 2301 N. Sylvania Ave.

George Beal Jr.
George E. Beal Jr., 72, of Greenville died Sunday at St. Paul's Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at St. Paul's Episcopal Church with Rev. Don Dinwiddie officiating. Burial is in National Cemetery in Fort Smith, Ark. at a later date.
The son of George E. Beal Sr. and Virginia Rose Dillon Beal, he was born Feb. 15, 1928 in Fort Smith, Ark. He married Joyce A. Womack on July 14, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Mr. Beal served in the U.S. Air Force and received the Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal during the Korean Conflict.
He was a graduate of the University of Arkansas with a bachelor of science in electrical engineering. Mr. Beal was a Consulting Engineer in Aircraft Systems (Registered Professional Engineer in Texas and Oklahoma). Mr. Beal was a member of the Quiet BirdMen, Antique Car Club, EAA, Horseless Carriage Club, Model T Ford Club, ARRL, Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity. He was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church.
Surviving are his wife; sons and daughters-in-law William and Brenda Beal of Grand Prairie and Paul and Jennifer Beal of Fort Worth and two granddaughters.
Memorials may be made to Hunt County Shared Ministries (FISH), the Memorial Fund at St. Paul's Episcopal Church or to a charity of choice.
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Hick Beene
Hick Beene, 97, of Greenville, died Tuesday morning at his residence. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Marvin Mosley and Rev. Tommy Weems officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery.
Born Dec. 27, 1902 in Collin County, he was the son of William Emmett Beene and "Callie" Azalea Moore Beene. On Feb. 1, 1925 he married Eva Pearce in Greenville.
Mr. Beene was a farmer and a carpenter and was a member of Park Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by daughter and son-in-law Bettie and Dan Kesler of Greenville; a son-in-law, Herschel Moore of Greenville; a sister, Kate Walden of California; grandson and wife Rick and Tammy Houser; great-grandchildren Holli and Haley Houser; stepgrandchildren Brent and wife Jennie Kesler and Kellie Kesler and stepgreat-grandchildren Makenzie Kesler.
He was preceded in death by his wife on June 25, 1989; a daughter, Theda Moore on Sept. 15, 1980; four brothers and four sisters.
Pallbearers are Herschel Moore, Don Kesler, Tod Nuckols, Jerry Tanner, Jason Tanner and Horice Graham.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Albert Meadows
QUINLAN - Albert "Al" Meadows, 89, of West Tawakoni died Tuesday in Terrell. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
The son of Silas and Lou Ella Reynolds Meadows, he was born Sep. 5, 1911 in Dallas.
Surviving are a son, Paul Meadows of West Tawakoni and a brother, Robert Meadows of Justin.
His wife, Beatrice Meadows, preceded him in death in 1995.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
