Murl Weatherly
Murl Lee Weatherly, 74, of Caddo Mills died Sunday at Briarcliff Health Center. Services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Patricia Fleming and Kenneth Ballard officiating. Burial will be at Royse City Cemetery.
Mr. Weatherly was born July 14, 1926, in Clinton, Texas, to L.P. Weatherly Sr., and Marcia Duvall Weatherly.
Before retiring, Mr. Weatherly was employed at Hensons-Kickernick, worked for Wing Industry and was a cotton farmer for many years. He belonged to the Floyd United Methodist Church. Mr. Weatherly served as secretary for the Clinton Cemetery Association.
Mr. Weatherly is survived by his two sisters and brother-in-law, Bonnie Tucker, Jean and Ray Ard, all three of Clinton; numerous nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Pallbearers will be nephews.
Mr. Weatherly was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Ricky Carroll
Rickey Ralph Carroll, 49, of Greenville died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Van Sickle Baptist Church with the Revs. Roger Ratliff and Bill Fondren officiating. Burial will be at Memoryland Memorial Park. Arrangements by Coker-Mathews Funeral Home.
Mr. Carroll was born April 28, 1952, in Oklahoma City, Texas to Ralph Carroll and Pat Walker Carroll. He was a director of pricing for Safeway's Denver division and a Safeway employee for 32 years. Mr. Carroll was a member of Mississippi Avenue Baptist Church in Aurora, Colo.
Mr. Carroll is survived by his parents; son, Robert Carroll and his fiancee, Shelly R. Wilson, of Denver; daughter, Amy Beth Carroll and her fiance, Daniel Nussbaumer, of Dallas; brothers, Gary Carroll and his wife, Shellie, of Greenville, and Kip Carroll of Port St. John, Fla.; sister, Machelle Ann Carroll Miller of Dallas; nieces, Carmen and Stephanie Miller of Dallas; nephews, Kellen and Brandt Carroll of Greenville.
Mr. Carroll is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ernest and Era Walker and Graford and Dessie Carroll, all of Dike.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jack Gaines
SULPHUR SPRINGS " Jack William Gaines, 74, of Cumby died Saturday at his
home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at West Oaks Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wes Dean officiating. Burial will be at Long Cemetery.
Mr. Gaines was born Nov. 22, 1926, at the family homestead south of Cumby. He was the youngest of 10 children born to John William and Mettie Ann Taylor Gaines.
Mr. Gaines married Maxine Ann Ryan on Oct. 18, 1950 in Colby, Kan. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Colby, Kan. Mr. Gaines was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife; son, Johnny Gaines of Arlington and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by nine siblings, Artis Gaines, Arlie Gaines, Herbert Gaines, Barney Gaines, Jess Gaines, Robert Gaines, Raymond Gaines, Gladys Bowen and Pauline Redding.
Pallbearers will be David Gaines, Kenneth Gaines, Robert Gaines, David Garrett, E.A. Junell Jr. and Billy Lynn. Honorary pallbearers will be Lewis Woodard, Frank Garmon, Norwin Lennon and Edward Watts.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Christine Kimberlin
Christine Santana Kimberlin, 77, of Greenville died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Williams Catholic Church with Father Antonio Oscar Diez officiating. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. today at Peters Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Forest Park Cemetery.
Ms. Kimberlin was born July 24, 1923, in Farmersville to Cleto and Ramona Medina Villarreal. She was a homemaker and lived in Greenville for 50 years.
Ms. Kimberlin is survived by her sons, Lorenzo Santana and Tommy Santana, both of Greenville, and Jessie Lee Santana and James E Williams, both of Campbell; brothers, Cleto Villarreal and Maurice Villarreal, both of San Antonio; sisters, Lupe Garcia of San Antonio and Mikela Luna of Dallas; 10 grandchildren and six grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Santana.
Pallbearers will be her nephews, Aaron Sartin, Johnny Sartin, Alex Rosales, John Villarreal, Billy Don Taylor and Ken Taylor. Honorary pallbearers will be Marcus Villarreal, Lucio Villarreal and Domingo Armendariz.

Norris Morgan
Norris B. Morgan, 77, of Garland, precious loving husband of Roxie Morgan, passed away May 27, 2001.
He is lovingly survived by his wife, Roxie, of 54 years; sister, Pansy Morgan Pare; brother, Hoyt Morgan and his wife, Dorotha, of Garland; nephew, James Douglas Morgan and his wife, Melanie, of Dallas; great nieces and nephews, Billy Howard Jones Jr of San Francisco, Maddie Morgan of Dallas, Dottie Tucker and her husband, Mark, of Garland, Julie Goforth and her husband, Tim, of Rowlett; brother-in-law Pete Slocum and his wife, Cindy, of Terrell; sisters-in-law, Bell Robertson of Arlington and Bonnie McMath and her husband, Tom, of Garland.
Norris honorably served his country in World War II wit the 36th Infantry Division. He retired form J.F. Zimmerman & Son and was one of the founders of Marlin Controls, Inc.
He was a member of Orchard Hills Baptist Church in Garland, Masonic Lodge No. 441 in Garland, Scottish Rite and Holls Temple in Dallas, IBEW Local No. 59 (20) and the 36th Division Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nate and Allie Morgan; sister, Veta Jones; brothers, Herman Morgan, Vernon Morgan, Boyd Morgan; and nephew, Billy Howard Jones.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 30, at Orchard Hills Baptist Church with the Revs. Dickson Rial and Jay Kennedy officiating. At 2 p.m., a Masonic graveside service will be officiated by Garland Lodge No. 441 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Wolfe City.
He will lie in state at his home, 825 Carney in Garland, where the family will receive friends Tuesday evening.
Pallbearers will be Dean Clow, Bill H. Jones Jr., Doug Morgan, Bill Polly Stewart Slocum and Perry Tongate.
Norris touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed. His wonderful smile brought joy to everyone he met. The world would be a better place if all couples shared the love and devotion shared by Roxie and Norris Morgan. Norris has gone to prepare a place for eternity.

Josephine Myers
MESQUITE " Josephine Myers, 70, died Saturday in Mesquite. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Wildwood Baptist Church, 531 South Walker St. in Mesquite, with the Rev. Emeritus M.V. Pruett officiating. Burial will follow at Mesquite City Cemetery. Arrangements by Anderson Clayton Bros. Funeral Home.
Mrs. Myers was born Nov. 7, 1930, in Point to Phillip and Lillian Lay. She was a longtime member of Wildwood Baptist Church.
Mrs. Myers is survived by her husband of 52 years, Johnny H. Myers; daughters, Sherwin Sandlin of Greenville, Linda Merritt of Mesquite and Brenda Conkel of Richardson; son, Johnny H. Myers Jr., of Mesquite; sisters, Rosie Murphree of Dallas and Lavelia Arthur of Forney;10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Myers was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers; three sisters; and granddaughter, Wendy Ann Myers.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and a nephew.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Murl Weatherly

Dorothy Gaillard
Dorothy Ansell Gaillard, 95, of San Marcos died May 17. A memorial service is set at 1 p.m. today at the Memorial Chapel of Episcopal Church of Incarnation in Dallas with Rev. Thomas G. Keithly officiating. There is a graveside service at 3 p.m. today at East Mount Cemetery with Rev. Donald Dinwiddie officiating.
Born Dec. 24, 1905 in Bosque County, she was the daughter of John William Ansell and Renick Frazier Ansell. Mrs. Gaillard retired from Magnolia Petroleum Company (now Exxon Mobil Oil Company).
Survivors are a sister, Wren Ansell Giesen of San Marcos and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Culberson Gaillard, in 1991; two brothers, James Walter Ansell and John Frazier Ansell and a sister, Ann Adele Ansell.
Memorials may be made to Episcopal Church of Incarnation, 3966 McKinney Avenue, Dallas, TX 75204; St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Greenville or to a favorite charity.
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mac Arthur Jernigan
Mac Arthur Jernigan, 37, of Cooper and Wolfe City, died May 18. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ebenezer Baptist Church of Wolfe City with Rev. Dumas Campbell Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Son of Joe and Bobbie Jernigan, he was born in Wolfe City. On April 30, 1999 he married Alice Prince in Cooper. Mr. Jernigan was a laborer.
Survivors include his wife of Cooper; his parents of Wolfe City; two daughters, Daniell Hines of Commerce and Coshley Jernigan of San Antonio; two brothers, Victor Jernigan of Wolfe City and Eddie Joe Jernigan of Oklahoma and three sisters Brigett Young Jernigan of Wolfe City, Amanda Sheppard and Benita Jernigan of Wolfe City.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Pallbearers will be Stanley Murphey, Roy Gaffney, Alton Armstrong, Dewayne Brigham, Charles Armstrong, Greg Armstrong and Fred Wylie.

Hanna Lankford
WOLFE CITY " There will be a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery for Hanna Grace Lankford, premature infant. Rev. Paul Lyon will officiate.
She was born May 23, 2001 to Jacquelyn Michelle Davis and Blake Lankford.
Surviving are her parents of Wolfe City; grandparents Tim and Barbara Davis and John and Maureen Lankford, all of Wolfe City and great-grandparents Howard and Frances Davis and Myers and Eloise Vittetoe, all of Wolfe City, Bobby and Susie Dickens of Merit and Margaret and Charles Brock of Garland.
Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home.

Floyd Luttrell
GREENVILLE, S.C. " Floyd Luttrell, 89, of Greenville, S.C. died Thursday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at The Mackey Mortuary with Dave Yearick, pastor, and Rev. Garland Babb officiating. Burial will be in Graceland East Memorial Park.
Born in Hopkins County, he was the son of Robert Thomas and Margaret Graves Luttrell. He retired from Bob Jones University and was a member of Hampton Park Baptist Church. Mr. Luttrell operated an upholstery business in Greenville, Texas in the early 1970s.
Mr. Luttrell is survived by his wife; two sons, Charles Luttrell of Greenville and Phillip Luttrell of Hawaii and nine grandchildren.
Three brothers preceded him in death.
Memorials may be made to the Bob Jones University Timothy Fund, c/o Bob Jones University, 1700 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, SC 29614.
Visitation is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the mortuary.

Robert McDonald
WOLFE CITY " Robert Vernon McDonald, 70, of Mansfield died Wednesday at Harris Methodist Hospital of Fort Worth. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
He was born Oct. 26, 1930 in Wolfe City to Eugene V. and Susie Fulenwider McDonald. Mr. McDonald served in the U.S. Navy. He was retired.
Survivors include a son, Bobby McDonald of Houston; two daughters, Renee McDonald of Houston and Sherrie McDonald of Manvel and two brothers, Roy McDonald of Arlington and Ed McDonald of Grand Prairie.
Visitation will be Saturday from 1 p.m. until time of service at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home.

Lena Ratliff
Lena Manning Ratliff, 87, of Irving died Tuesday at Baylor Hospital of Irving. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. today at Prayer Valley Baptist Church on Highway 513 in the Prayer Valley Community with Ron Ratliff, Roger Ratliff and Andy Taylor officiating.
She was born Feb. 1, 1914 in Prayer Valley to William Everett Manning and Bessie Dooley Manning. She was a retired beautician and was a member of Irving Baptist Fellowship.
Surviving are her husband, R.A. Ratliff of Irving; two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Margaret Ratliff of North Richland Hills and Ron and Glenda Ratliff of Bedford; a brother, D.L. Manning of Commerce; three granddaughters and four great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eric Manning and D.E. Manning and one sister, Era May Ratliff.
Pallbearers will be Richard Ratliff, Dell Ratliff, Paul Ratliff, Randy Manning, Rodney Manning, Charles Moore and Ray Dooley. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Bearden and James Baker.
Memorials may be made to the Prayer Valley Cemetery Association.
Lynch Alternative Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Reba Skidmore
EMORY " Reba Skidmore, 83, of Emory died Thursday at Wood Memorial Nursing Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Burial will be in Emory City Cemetery.
Daughter of Levi Lloyd and Edna May Davis Morrow, she was born June 13, 1917 in Rains County. She was married to Lester Lee Skidmore in Emory in November 1934. Mrs. Skidmore was a homemaker. She was a Baptist.
Mrs. Skidmore is survived by sons Charles Skidmore and Arthur Skidmore, both of Pickton; daughters Neva Hogue of Rockwall, Kay Kennedy of Garland and Phyllis Monk of Pickton; a sister, Mauritta Gray of Emory; 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be L.M. Braziel; Wayne Douglas, Tommy Gaston, Leroy Potts, Henry Doyle Potts, Lee Skidmore and David Holt. Grandsons will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Birdie Faye Stubbs
SULPHUR SPRINGS " Birdie Faye Stubbs died Wednesday night at her residence in Miller Grove of melanoma cancer. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Miller Grove United Methodist Church on FM 275 with Rev. Don Brummett officiating. Burial will be in Miller Grove Cemetery.
Born July 22, 1921 in Miller Grove, she was the daughter of Jack and Eura Pippin. She graduated from Miller Grove High School and attended East Texas State University, now Texas A&M-Commerce. She and Nolan Stubbs were married Aug. 20, 1950. She moved to Dallas and began a career with Sears, Roebuck and Co., retiring after 20 years. Mrs. Stubbs was a member of Miller Grove United Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Miller Grove; four children, Beth Petty of Seven Points Cedar Creek Lake, Marie Popplewell of Sherman, Wayne Stubbs of Greenville and Linda Ruth Brigance of Greenville; 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Pallbearers will be Bart Jones, Tommy Jack Wooton, Eric Wooton, Nick Brigance, Wayne Stubs II and Duane Garrett.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at West Oaks Funeral Home.

Woodrow Williams
Woodrow Williams, 83, of Dallas died May 19 at Manor Care Nursing Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Tabernacle Church of Deliverance in Greenville with Rev. W.D. Pierce officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
He was born March 2, 1918 in Lone Oak to Willie and Lula Williams. Mr. Williams was a laborer.
He is survived by a brother, Willie Williams Jr. of Dallas and two sisters, Mrs. Naomi P. Williams and Mrs. Dorothy M. Isaac, both of San Francisco, Calif.
Five brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.
Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home of Greenville is in charge of arrangements.
