Lena Ratliff
Lena Manning Ratliff, 87, of Irving died Tuesday at Baylor Hospital of Irving. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. at Prayer Valley Baptist Church on Highway 513 in the Prayer Valley Community with Ron Ratliff, Roger Ratliff and Andy Taylor officiating.
She was born Feb. 1, 1914 in Prayer Valley to William Everett Manning and Bessie Dooley Manning. She was a retired beautician and was a member of Irving Baptist Fellowship.
Surviving are her husband, R.A. Ratliff of Irving; two sons and daughters-in-law, Duane and Margaret Ratliff of North Richland Hills and Ron and Glenda Ratliff of Bedford; a brother, D.L. Manning of Commerce; three granddaughters and four great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Eric Manning and D.E. Manning and one sister, Era May Ratliff.
Pallbearers will be Richard Ratliff, Dell Ratliff, Paul Ratliff, Randy Manning, Charles Moore and Ray Dooley. Honorary pallbearers will be Keith Bearden and James Baker.
Memorials may be made to the Prayer Valley Cemetery Association.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Lynch Alternative Funeral Service.

Margaret Rhude
COMMERCE " Margaret L. Rhude, 69, of Keene died Tuesday at Town Hall Estates in Keene. A graveside service is set at 11 a.m. today at Rosemound Cemetery, Commerce with Dennis Hirning officiating.
Daughter of Albert Arnold and Minnie Eula Whittington Arnold, she was born Dec. 30, 1931 in Commerce. On July 29, 1966 she married William T. Rhude in Hugo, Okla. She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church in Oak Cliff.
Mrs. Rhude is survived by a daughter, Sharon Hirning of Independence, Mo.; a brother, Rex Arnold of Melbourne, Fla. and grandchildren Rachel Wood of Independence, Mo., Claudine Courtney York of Fort Worth and Louis Lee Booth of Longview.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; sisters Claudine Mildred Rhude, Katherine Milkee and Joyce Ann Arnold of Melbourne, Fla.

Tommy Barker
COMMERCE " Tommy Morris Barker, 69, of Commerce died Sunday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Sonora Cemetery in Fairlie.
Born Aug. 5, 1931 in Fairlie, he was the son of James Franklin and Maude Barker. He married Nelda Julian Williams on Sep. 1, 1990. Mr. Barker retired from Foremost/Schepps Dairy in Dallas with 43 years of service. He was a deacon and member of Fairlie Baptist Church, serving as treasurer and pianist.
He was a Past Master of Tannehill Masonic Lodge 52, AF&AM, member of Commerce Masonic Lodge 439 AF&AM, member of Hella Dallas Shrine Temple and Past Patron of Bluebonnet Buckner Chapter 888, O.E.S.
Surviving are his wife of Fairlie; daughter and son-in-law Sharon and John Boggs of Geneva, Switzerland; stepdaughters and sons-in-laws Janet and Barry Smith of Alabaster, Ala. and Judy and Curtis Hightower of Pottsboro; sisters Uralee Farell of Fairlie, Lucille Lloyd of Garland, Maureen Stepter of Dallas; brothers Allen Barker of Sulphur Springs, Hollis Barker of Longview, Roy Dale Barker of Fairlie; grandchildren Colin, Graham and Evan Boggs of Geneva, Switzerland; Alison, Mallory and Andrew Hightower of Pottsboro, Brandon, Devin, Michael and Laurel Smith of Alabama and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Gladys and Lilas Barker; brother Harold Barker and former wife, Patricia Rowe Barker.
Pallbearers are Bob Barker, Mike Barker, Steve Barker, Danny Farell, Jim Lloyd and John Lloyd. Honorary pallbearers are Charles Lee Farell, Billy Julian, Dicky Julian, Mike Crowell, Second McQueary, John McKibben and Weldon Wilson.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Beulah Dunn
DUNCANVILLE " Beulah V. Dunn, 90, of Duncanville died Sunday. Service will be at 11 p.m. today at First United Methodist Church of Duncanville with Dr. Clayton Oliphint and Rev. Gene Welborn officiating. Burial will be in Little Bethel Cemetery.
She was born in Greenville on Aug. 24, 1910 to James and Hattie Henderson Allen. She married Roy L. Dunn on Oct. 18, 1930. She was a long-time member of First United Methodist Church.
Dunn is survived by her two children, Bettye Dunn Boyd and Dale Dunn; four sisters, Modena Hale, Maudie Butler, Clara Lee and Willie Gresham; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her brother, one grandchild and two great-grandchildren.
Jaynes Memorial Chapel in Duncanville is in charge of arrangements.

Claudia Elmore
Claudia Elmore, 89, of Campbell died Monday morning at Sulphur Springs Nursing Home. A graveside service is set at 2 p.m. today at Shady Grove Cemetery with Rev. Joel Arnold officiating.
Daughter of J.A. Wallace and Ruth Wallace Gregston, she was born Nov. 23, 1911 in Commerce. On Nov. 25, 1929 she was married to O.M. "Toad" Elmore in Hugo, Okla. She was a homemaker and was a member of Campbell United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Elmore is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Sammy and Della Elmore of Campbell; two grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1990; a son, James Everett Elmore in 1981; a sister and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Gammon, Kevin Gammon, Cody Gammon, Danny Ayers, Eddie Ayers and Barry Ayers. Scott Moore will be honorary pallbearer.

Jeanette Wooten Poe
LONE OAK " Jeanette Wooten Poe of Lone Oak died Tuesday in Dallas. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Rick Blue officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Ridge Cemetery.
She was born on March 3, 1937, in Midway, Miss. to Herman and Christina Wooten.
Surviving are her husband, David Poe of Lone Oak; her mother of Gulfport, Miss.; sons David Poe Jr. of Hurst and Tommy Poe of Greenville; a daughter, Gwendolyn Poe of Hinton, W.A.; brothers, Jess Pigg of Ocean Springs, Miss., Chester Wooten of Highpoint, N.C., Billy Wooten of Greenville and Herman Wooten Jr. of Gulfport; sisters Stella Simpson of Summerfield, N.C.; Debra Wilson of North Lauderdale, Fla. and Alma Smith of Sacramento, Calif. and four grandchildren.

Trella Sandefer
IRVING " Trella Martina Sandefer of Irving died Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at The Rolston Road Church of God with Rev. T.C. McIntyre officiating. Burial will be in Sowers Cemetery in Irving.
She was born Dec. 2, 1923 in Hunt County.
Surviving are children Ira Lee Sandefer of Sikeston, Mo., Irella Irene Savage of Irving, Tony Ray Sandefer of Malakoff and Tammie Henderson of Irving; sister Joyce Gray of Plano; a brother, Harold Smith of Eustace; nine grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira E. Sandefer; two brothers and five sisters.
Brown's Memorial Funeral Home of Irving is in charge of arrangements.

Charlotte Young
FARMERSVILLE " Charlotte Elizabeth Young, 79, of Copeville died Sunday in McKinney. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Chapel, Farmersville. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Princeton.
She was born July 31, 1921 in Farmersville to Hewlett J. and Julia A. Judge Lokey. She married James Franklin Young. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Copeville.
Survivors include a son, Jimmy Young of Wylie; two sisters, Helen Bagby of Farmersville and Maurine Chapin of Quinlan; brothers Vernon Likey of Duncanville and Glenn Lokey of Farmersville and three grandchildren.

Cynthia Allen
Cynthia L. Allen, 46, of Point died Saturday afternoon at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. There is a memorial service at 10 a.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Melvin Ray officiating.
Daughter of George Allen and Betty Lou Harris Allen, she was born May 5, 1955 in Dallas. On March 11, 1992 she was married to Clif Farabee. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Texas at Dallas. Mrs. Allen was co-founder of Bluebonnet Crafters, makers of stuffed animals and craft products.
She is survived by her husband of Point; her parents of Hot Springs, Ark. and two brothers, Kyle Allen of Coppell and Richard Allen of Littleton, Colo. and nieces Lakyn and Layne Allen of Coppell.
Memorials may be made to Doctors Without Borders, P.O. Box 2247, New York City, N.Y. 10116-2247.

Richard Fuller Jr.
Richard Joseph (R.J.) Fuller Jr. of Ladonia died Saturday at his home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Pleasant Grove CME in Ladonia with Rev. E. Faye Lawson officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
Born May 13, 1923 in Ladonia, he was the son of Richard Joseph and Lillie Mae Fuller. He served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Fuller was a laborer and was a member of Pleasant Grove CME in Ladonia. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Army.
Surviving are his mother of Ladonia; four sons, Dwight Fuller and Gary Fuller Sr. of Fort Worth, Jeffery Spencer of Dallas and Eddie Lewis of Paris; daughters, Marva Scott, Beverly Fuller and Janice Fuller of Fort Worth and Peggy Lewis of Bonham; two brothers, Hoyt Fuller and Ralph Fuller, both of Dallas; a sister, June Mynell Washington of Sulphur Springs; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, three sisters and one daughter.
Pallbearers will be Horace McCoy, Robert Harris, Bobby Crosby, Johnny Crosby, Charles Doyle and Wayne Scott.
Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Andres Hinojosa
CADDO MILLS " Andres Doria Hinojosa, 93, of Royse City, died Sunday at Lake Pointe Hospital in Rowlett. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Rockwall. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park, Rockwall.
Born in Cameron County on Feb. 20, 1908, he was the son of George Hinojosa and Deloris Doria Hinojosa. He married Isabel Rodriguez. Mr. Hinojosa was a retired farmer and he was a Catholic.
Survivors include his wife of Royse City; sons Andres Hinojosa Jr. of Uvalde and Robert Hinojosa of Royse City; daughters Deloris Najera of Royse City, Gloria Flores of Taft and Cynthia Rodriguez of Dallas; 12 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
A sister, Anita Herandez, preceded him in death.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
There will be a rosary at 6 p.m. today at James Rentfrow Funeral Home.

Charlotte Young
FARMERSVILLE " Charlotte Elizabeth Young, 79, of Copeville died Sunday in McKinney. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Princeton.

Dolores Burns
Dolores "Dollie" Burns, 67, of Greenville died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. Williams Catholic Church with Father Diez officiating. Burial will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
She was born in Celeste on May 25, 1933 to Tomas And Bonita Padille Remediz.
Burns was a manager at Sonic in Greenville and a member at St. Williams Catholic Church.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas and James Burns, both of Greenville; two daughters, Alicia McCasland of Greenville and Bonita Honson of Kaufman; three sisters, Marcelena Rodriguez of Greenville, Sue Remediz of Celeste and Mary Maldonado of Greenville; and five grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by four brothers.
Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. tonight at St. Williams Catholic Church. Lynch Alternative Funeral Service is in charge of arrangements.

Don Curtis
EMORY " Don Curtis, 74, of Emory died Saturday at his home. Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at White Oak Baptist Church in Yantis with Rev. Arlis Banks and Rev. Leslie Loftin officiating. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. in Laurel Oaks Cemetery in Mesquite.
He was born in Crow on Aug. 22, 1926 to William B. Curtis and Mollie Lou Dunbar. He married Jimmie Lois Crouch on July 10, 1944 in Dallas.
Curtis was a retired cement contractor and a member of White Oak Baptist Church. He was also a member of Bruton Conner Masonic Lodge in Dallas.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, one sister and one grandchild.
He is survived by his wife; one son and daughter-in-law, Don (Buddy) and Beverly Curtis of Dallas; and three daughters and son-in-laws, Marinell and Billy Strain of Valliant, Okla, Donna and James Barnes of Longview, and Lucy and Jim Little of Hochatown, Okla; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home in Emory.

Dorothy Gildenmeister
Dorothy Gildenmeister, 85, of Greenville died Saturday at her home. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
She was born in Fremont, Ohio on August 25, 1915 to John and Fanny Hartman Tucker. She married Delbert L. Gildenmeister on July 19, 1934 in Clyde, Ohio.
Gildenmeister was a retired supervisor for GTE.
She is survived by her son, Nelson Gildenmeister of Greenville and two daughters, Nancy Bilbrey of Bellevue, Ohio and Norma Rutherford of Greenville.
Lynch Alternative Funeral Home Service is in charge of arrangements.

Elbert Sawyer
EAST TAWAKONI " Elbert C. "Tom" Sawyer, 80, of East Tawakoni died Saturday at his home after a short battle with cancer. Mass will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at First United Methodist Church of Quinlan with Rev. Larry Tinsley and Rev. Charles Cagale officiating. Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Creagleville Cemetery near Grand Saline.
He was born in Hamburg, Ark. on March 6, 1921 to Jessie and Johnnie Predue Sawyer. He married Lou Ella Hawkins on July 1, 1960 in Dallas.
Sawyer was manager of Armored Motor Service of Dallas and a member of First United Methodist Church of Quinlan.
He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Diann Markle of East Tawakoni and Linda Latimer of Lake St. Louis, Mo.; two brothers, Alvin Sawyer of Mabank and Ervin Sawyer of Red Oak; two sisters, Lee Tucker of Mabank and Irene Sawyer of Mabank; 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be tonight from 6 to 8 p.m. at Bartley Funeral Home in Lone Oak.
