John Hartwell
John K. Hartwell of Blue Water, Utah, formerly of Greenville, died at his residence April 10, 2000. There was a private family memorial service March 10 at Caney Cemetery south of Campbell with Rev. Louise Welch officiating.
He was born in Campbell on June 16, 1933 to Dow Hartwell and Valera "Val" Pernell Hartwell. He graduated from high school in Ramona, Calif. and then joined the U.S. Navy. He was assigned to the U.S.S. Jason ARH-1, a repair ship that served in the Korean War. He was a member of the Nazarene Church in California.
Mr. Hartwell is survived by his mother of Greenville; two daughters and sons-in-law, Cevin Sue and Mike Pyeatt of Ramona, Calif. and Gail and Jim Spoto of Page, Ariz. and five grandchildren.
His father preceded him in death in 1983.

Paul Hutton
POINT " Paul Glenn Hutton, 68, of Point died Monday at his residence. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. today at Point Funeral Home Chapel with Lloyd McKinney officiating. Burial is in Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Mineola.
The son of Authur and Dessie Vinson Hutton, he was born May 9, 1932 in Gladewater.
He served in the U.S. Army and was employed by the U.S. Post Office.
Surviving are three daughters, Carol Hutton, DeeAnn Phillips and Vicki Cantu; a brother, Jack Hutton; two sisters, Maxine Raley and Betty Myers and five grandchildren.

Jerry Bolt
Normal: Jerry Ray Bolt, 60, of Greenville died Saturday at the Baylor Health Care Center in Dallas. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Park Street Baptist Church with Rev. Tommy Weems and Rev. Olan Pumphrey officiating.
Graveside services are at 4 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery in Chickasha, Okla.
Mr. Bolt was born July 24, 1940, in Chickasha, Okla., son of John and Beulah Cobb Bolt. He married Brenda Gore on Oct. 27, 1972, in Eunice, Okla.
Mr. Bolt was a machinist for Raytheon and a member of the Park Street Baptist Church.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; sons, Richard Lee Bolt of Oklahoma City, Okla. and John Clinton Bolt of Greenville; daughters, Stacey Buchanan of North Richland Hills and Shari Norvell of Thornton, Colo.; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers are Daryl Pollak, Ronnie Mouton, Vaughn Pumphrey, Jack Williams, Virgle Hurley and Gunther Thomas.
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Earlene Crawford
Earlene B. Crawford, 79, of Wolfe City, formerly of Commerce, died Monday morning at Smith Nursing Center in Wolfe City. There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at New Gordon Cemetery in Gordon.
She was born in Gordon on March 28, 1921 to Chester Barron and Mary Crabtree. She was married to Gordon C. Crawford.
Mrs. Crawford was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Christ and the Rebekah Lodge of Commerce.
She is survived by a son, Bill Crawford of Greenville and one grandchild.
Her husband and one brother preceded her in death.
Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bobby House
POINT " Bobby M. House, 75, of Wills Point died Saturday in Terrell. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Point with Rev. Phil Appenzeller officiating. Burial is in Lone Star Cemetery.
Born in Dosson County on Nov. 10, 1925, he was the son of John and Ivy Craft House.
Mr. House served in the U.S. Navy. He was a farmer and was a member of Assembly of God in Wills Point.
Mr. House is survived by his wife Dorothy House of Wills Point; four sons, Steven House, Jerry House, Donald House and Ronald House; four daughters, Virginia Dennis, Linda Collins, Rhonda Hickman and Wanda Garcia; two brothers, Junior House and Bill House; six sisters, Dorothy Carter, Lorene Watson, Zelma Hardigan; Ruth Borden, Naomi Wallace and Betty Chester; 28 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Three brothers preceded him in death.
Point Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Dorothy Johnson
COMMERCE " Dorothy Love Scott Johnson, 95, of Cooper died Monday in Paris. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel with Natalie Chamberlain officiating. Burial is in Rosemound Cemetery.
The daughter of George Dudley Scott and Annie Love Scott, she was born April 17, 1905 in Yowell. She and Samuel Pierce Johnson were married Nov. 25, 1925 in Paris.
She graduated from Ardmore, Okla. High School and Art School and moved to Commerce, teaching art in Cooper and Commerce Public Schools. She retired from teaching and moved to Dallas to be near family.
Mrs. Johnson was an active member of the Highlands First Christian Church of Dallas. She moved to Cooper in 1996.
She is survived by sons and daughters-in-law Finnell and Gladys Johnson of Cooper and Fain and Jean Johnson of Waco; grandchildren Jeff Johnson and Laurie Johnson of Rowlett, Mark Isaac of Dallas, Pierce Johnson III and Cynthia Johnson of Mobile, Ala., Dean Johnson and Beth Johnson of Culman, Ala., Leslie Johnson, Janette Johnson, Scott Weddington and Debra Weddington, all of Garland and Dorothy Lou Dungan and Gary Dungan of Mesquite; 12 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband on Oct. 5, 1960; two daughters, Betty Ann Weddington and Virginia Lou Isaac; three sisters, Annye Lou Long, Frances Wagner and Nina Scott; two half sisters, Ruby Fain and Ossie Scott and six half brothers, Max Scott, Ralph Scott, Silas Scott, Rodger Scott, Orville Scott and Shelly Scott.
Pallbearers are grandsons and one nephew, John Rodger Wagner.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Clark Parmely
LEONARD " Clark Berkley Parmely, 59, of Leonard died Sunday at his residence. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. today at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Wrenn officiating.
Mr. Parmely was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Avery, son of Jack and Lela Clark Parmely.
Surviving are sons Terry Clark Parmely of Kingswood and Keith Dewayne Parmely of Parker, Colo.; a daughter, Ginger Lynn Hain of Leonard; sister Jackie Fox of Fort Worth; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Georgia Stewman
LEONARD " Services for Georgia Evelyn Stewman, 96, of Leonard will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Kuhn and Charles Wrenn officiating. Burial is in Leonard Cemetery.
She died Sunday at the Leonard Nursing Home.
Surviving are her son, W.C. Flanagan of Houston; two daughters, Theda Fay Creech of Leonard and Betty Jo Kuhn of Leonard; 14 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jerry Bolt

Clark Parmely
LEONARD " Clark Berkley Parmley, 59, of Leonard died Sunday at his residence. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Taylor Funeral Home Chapel with Charles Wrenn officiating.
Mr. Parmely was born Oct. 7, 1941, in Avery; the son of Jack and Lela Clark Parmely.

Alexander Snook
Alexander Dean Gates Snook, infant, died Saturday at Medical City Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Vansickle Baptist Church with Rance Moore officiating. Burial is in Wieland Cemetery in Cash.
The infant was born Feb. 28, 2001 in Dallas to Robert and Kayce Snook.
Surviving are parents of Greenville; brother, Kyle Snook of Greenville; grandparents, Jim Snook of Mesa. Ariz., and Delbert and Corine Virden of Greenville; great -grandparents, Mildred Snook of Arkansas and Alfard and Alta Gates of Muleshoe.
Lynch Alternative Funeral Service Inc. is in charge of arrangements.

Olevia Billinger
LONE OAK " Olevia Billinger, 97, of Lone Oak, died Friday at her residence. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the Christian Church with William Dial officiating. Burial will be in Hooker Cemetery.
Daughter of J.H. and Sally Hooker Ragland, she was born May 24, 1903 in Lone Oak to J.H. and Sally Hooker Ragland. She was a homemaker. She was a charter member of the Church of Christ and a charter member of the Lone Oak Eastern Star and a member for more than 70 years.
Mrs. Billinger is survived by a stepson, James Billinger of Nederland; sister Angela Ragland of Lone Oak; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two husbands; three sisters; a son, Phillip Gail Allison and a daughter, Tommie Parsons.
Pallbearers will be Charles Hunt, Robert Stokes, George Monk, Steve Jones, Derald White and Charles Jones.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Bartley Funeral Home.

Roy Mauldin
EL RENO, Okla. " Funeral services for Roy F. Mauldin of Yukon will be at 10 a.m. Monday in the Wilson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Yukon Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy.. He died Thursday at Deaconess Hospital in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Born in Greenville on Oct. 5, 1915, he was the son of James H. and Emily Steed Mauldin. He attended school in the rural Greenville area. Mr. Mauldin served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as an Armed Guard on merchant ships and then returned to Greenville. He worked for Merrill Motor Lines in Fort Worth as a truck mechanic; the job then took him to Oklahoma City, Okla. He returned to Greenville and worked as maintenance supervisor for the Hunt County courthouse. He and his wife Norma Lee moved to Yukon in 1987. He was a member of the U.S. Navy Armed Guard Association.
Survivors include son James H. Mauldin of Okarche; stepson Maynard O. McNeely Jr. of California; stepdaughter Richadene Christian of Fort Worth; 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Mount Zion United Methodist Church, c/o 2904 E. OKC 150th Street, El Reno, Okla. 73036.

Mary Young
AUSTIN " Mary Virginia Babb Young, 86, of Austin, formerly of Greenville, died Wednesday following a lengthy battle with congestive heart failure. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Central Christian Church with Dr. Fabaus Landry officiating. Burial will be in Capital Memorial Park, Austin.
Daughter of James Babb and Mary Babb, she was born in Tyler and grew up in Greenville. She graduated from East Texas State Teachers College in three years with highest honors. She married William Robert Young II in 1946. Mrs. Young taught high school English in Bells for two years.
She moved to Austin and began a career as a personal secretary and office manager with the State Health Department for more than 60 years, 24 of those with the State Comptroller's Office. She retired in May 2000.
Mrs. Young is survived by son W.R. "Peck" Young, daughter-in-law Patty Anne Young and two granddaughters, Erin Elizabeth Young and Kelly Anne Young, all of Austin.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1966 and a brother, Wayne Babb.
Visitation is at Wilke-Clay-Fish Funeral Home today until time of service on Sunday.

George T. Griffin
TYLER " Former Greenville resident George T. Griffin, 79, of Tyler died Saturday in Tyler. Services will be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Lloyd James Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dow Harleston and Rev. Rick Hume officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
He was born on March 20, 1921, in San Saba. He graduated from Greenville High School in 1939, and Southern Methodist University in 1949. He was a Certified Public Accountant in Tyler from 1949 until his retirement in 1996. He was a founding member of Pollard United Methodist Chutch.
Mr. Griffin served in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in North Africa, Sicily, England and France. He made the D-Day invasion on Omaha Beach with the First Infantry Division. He was decorated with the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.
Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Nell Griffin of Tyler and formerly of Greenville; a daughter, Evelyn Bollman of Tyler and formerly of Greenville, and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Dr. Steve Griffin.
Pallbearers will be Rick Barrett, Steve Hardy, Harold Hogan, Don Lewis, Bill Roper and Bruce Wilder. Visitation is today at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Pollard United Methodist Church, 3030 New Copeland Rd., tyler, 75703.

Jerry Rich
FARMERSVILLE " Jerry W. Rich, 65, of Brownsboro, died Wednesday at East Texas Medical Center of Tyler. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Saturday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel with Jolly Terry officiating. Burial is at Stony Point Cemetery of Blue Ridge.
Born Aug. 2, 1935 in Blue Ridge, he was the son of Wylie Rich and Delphia Richardson Rich. He married Nancy Wells on Oct. 17, 1977 in Oklahoma.
Mr. Rich served in the U.S. Marines. He was employed by the Coca Cola Bottling Corporation. He was a Baptist.
Surviving are his wife of Brownsboro; a daughter, Susan Kelley of Douglas; two sons, David Rich of Caddo Mills and Jeffrey Cull of Eighty-Four, Penn. and Michael Cull of Mansfield; brother Scott Rich of Lake Tawakoni; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
