Billie Glenn
CUMBY" Billie June Blakenship Glenn, 74, of Cumby died Sunday at home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in West Oaks Funeral Chapel with Rev. David Burns officiating. Burial will be at Greenview Cemetery.
Mrs. Glenn was born on June 10, 1927, in Tahoka to Thomas Lee and Ruby Avena Morse Blakenship. She married Hamilton H. Glenn on Sept. 29, 1944, in Kiowa, Okla. She was a co-owner/operator of Glenn Buick, Inc for 23 years. She was Methodist.
She is survived by two daughters, Brenda Gafford of Cumby and Saundra Stevens of Winnsboro one brother, Tom Leon of Sunnyvale; 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her son, Donald Ray Glenn and her sister, Ruth Milam.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Iva Miller
BOOKER " Iva Butler Miller, 95, of Booker, formerly of Campbell, died Friday. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today with Rev. Mike House officiating. Burial will be at East Mount Cemetery.
Mrs. Miller was born April 29, 1906 in Campbell to Robert D. and Ethel Smith Butler. She was a teacher and a homemaker. She was also a member of the Marvin Methodist Church of Tyler and the Retired Teachers' Organization.
She is survived by a sister, Anni Reece Kibler of Campbell and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her twin sister, Ava Akers and her brother, George Butler.

Charles Worthy Jr.
QUINLAN " Charles "Bull" Worthy Jr., 67, of Quinlan died Thursday in Quinlan. Services will be at 4 p.m. today at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel with Eddy Worthy officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park.
Mr. Worthy was born Aug. 16, 1933, in Dallas to Charles Edward Worthy Sr. and Reba Hicks Worthy. He married Bettye Ruth Worthy on Dec. 24, 1966 in Wichita Falls. Mr. Worthy was a U.S. Army veteran. He was a retired employee of Anderston Trucking. Mr. Worthy was a member of the Assembly of God, the Teamsters Union. He also was a Mason.
He is survived by his son, Eddy Worthy of Fort Worth; daughters, Teressa Steward of Hutchens and Carrie Williams of Saginaw; sisters, Mary Boyts of Pawhuska, Okla., and Elta Pollard of Warrention, Mo; seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Mr. Worthy was preceded in death by his wife.
Brian Worthy, Robert Williams, Nick Miref, Nathan Steward and Joe Suder will serve as pallbearers.
Quinlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Marie Price
QUINLAN " Marie Price, 75, of Rockwall died Saturday in Rockwall. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday with John Tomlinson officiating. Burial will be at Lakeside Memorial Park.
She was born Oct. 22, 1925, in Taunton Somerser, England, to Joseph C. and Caroline Potter Coombes. She married Johnnie Ray Price on Nov. 10, 1945, in England.
Mrs. Price was a member of First Christian Church in Rowlett and the American Legion. She was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a former president of the Ladies' Auxiliary.
She is survived by her son, Johnny Ray Price; daughters, Caroline Tomlinson, Barbara Nell Garcia and Betty Jo Olivo; brothers Ben Coombes and Vernon Coombes; and her sister, Ella. Mrs. Price was preceded in death by her husband, six brothers, six sisters, four brother-in-laws and two sister-in-laws.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Quinlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ola Thomas
WOLFE CITY " Ola Thomas, 89, of Wolfe City died July 9 in Presbyterian Hospital of Commerce. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Monday at New Beginning Church of God in Christ with Rev. R.L. Price officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Thomas was born Aug. 25, 1912, in Manning, La.; the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Garner. She was a housewife.
Surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers are Gerald Woodberry, Joe Don Wortham, Richard Crockett, John L. Brown, Joe Jernigan and Alfred Champion.
Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Opal Braswell
FARMERSVILLE " Mrs. Opal Braswell, 83, formerly of Blue Ridge, died Friday in Fort Worth. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Blue Ridge Baptist Church with Rev. Terry Pittman officiating. Burial will be in Stoney Point Cemetery in Valdasta.
She was born Jan. 25, 1918, in Valdasta, daughter of G.J. and Mary Stonecipher Richardson. She was married to Dewey Braswell on Sep. 25, 1937, in Valdasta. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Braswell was a member of Williams Road Baptist Church in Fort Worth.
Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Pittman of Benbrook and Sue Dunivan of Arlington; a son, Mike Braswell of Denton; sister Eloise Hemphill of McKinney; a brother, E.W. "Slick" Richardson of Blue Ridge; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville.

Robert Daily
COMMERCE " Robert Edwin Daily, 71, of Commerce died Friday in Commerce. No services are planned. Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Daily was born Aug. 19, 1929, in Howell County, Mo. to Samuel Edwin Daily and Pat Daily. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Daily worked in the East Texas State University maintenance department until his retirement.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Sam and Bette Daily of Commerce; daughter, Regina Dunn of Washington; sister, Doris Miles of Camp; and best friend, Carol Lilly of Commerce.

Embry Hughes
FARMERSVILLE " Embry George Hughes, 85, of Farmersville died in Greenville Thursday. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Trinity Baptist Church in Farmersville with Rev. Miller McClure officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Son of George Hughes and Lizzie Larkins Hughes, he was born Feb. 14, 1916 in Garland. On Sep. 29, 1934, he married Marie Gann in Farmersville. Mr. Hughes was a farmer and rancher. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Farmersville.
He is survived by his wife of Farmersville; two sons, Bill Hughes and Conrad Hughes, both of Farmersville; sisters Juanita Holley of Farmersville, Lena Davis of Lavon, Jo Harris of Garland and Pernita Vickers of Longview; brothers Milburn Hughes of Clifton, Ark., A.C. Hughes of Louisiana and G.H. Hughes of Denison; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville is in charge of arrangements.

Willie Jones
COOPER " Willie Henry "Shorty" Jones of Campbell died Thursday in Sulphur Springs. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Delta Funeral Home Chapel with David Houghman officiating. Burial will be in Copeville Cemetery in Farmersville.
Son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Clayborn Jones, he was born March 4, 1927, in Jonesboro, Ark. Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Barbara Cade in 1964. He had worked for Sherwood Medical in Commerce.
Mr. Jones is survived by two sons, Ricky Jones of Garland and Henry Cade of Bonham; four daughters, D'Lane Barr of West Plains, Mo., Cecile Pugh of Quitman, Lesa Richardson of Pecan Gap and Cindy Watson of Winnsboro; two brothers, Riley Jones of Garland and James Jones of Nevada; a sister, Cathrine Pugh of Rowlett; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife on Jan. 22, 1996, and two sons, Steven and Cyrus Cade.
Visitation is from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Cleva Kirby
QUINLAN " Cleva Kirby of Quinlan died Thursday. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Lake Tawakoni Church of Christ with Randy Reagan officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Born June 15, 1931, in Weston, she was the daughter of Oscar Christian and Lillian Miller Hansard. On Feb. 15, 1947, she was married to Roger Clayton Kirby in Howe. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband of Quinlan; sons Gary Kirby of Searcy, Ark., Don Kirby of Quinlan and Mark Kirby of Quinlan; a daughter, Carol Kirby Draehn of Quinlan; brother Ford Hansard of Dallas; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Loyd Hansard, Henry Hansard, J.W. Hansard and Noble Hansard and two sisters, Christine Bell and Glenda Parks.
Pallbearers will be Richard A. Whitehead, Michael Whitehead, Gary Clay Kirby, Brandon Kirby, Roger Kirby and Keith Sandifer. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandie Kirby, Corissa Turner, Aly Kirby, Dylan Turner and Tyler Draehn.
Quinlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bo Lipsey
Bo Lipsey, 88, of Kingston died Thursday afternoon in Greenville. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Houston and Dr. Marvin Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
He was born Sep. 20, 1912, in Greenville to Edward Marshall Lipsey Sr. and Nanny Bell McComb Lipsey. He served in the U.S. Navy, SeaBees during World War II. Mr. Lipsey was the owner of a grocery store. He was a member of Kingston Baptist Church and Miller Masonic Lodge 224 of Celeste and was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Survivors include two sons, Danny L. Lipsey of Kingston and Ronald Lipsey of Garland; seven grandchildren and 15 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sisters.
Pallbearers will be Mike Lipsey, Jim Eudy, Randy Bunn, Bob Barnard, Billy Don Eudy and Jearold Eudy. Honorary pallbearers will be Preston Hopewell, Gerald Williams, Jimmy Williams, Robert Holloway, Ralph Ross and Tommy Willess.
Memorials may be made to Kingston Baptist Church.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Steven Palczynsky
ROCKWALL " Steven James Palczynsky, 24, died Wednesday in White County, Ark. Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. today at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Rockwall Chapel with Thomas Miller officiating. Burial will be in Swisher Cemetery at Lake Dallas.
Son of Richard and Jalana Howard Palczynsky, he was born June 24, 1977, in Denton. He had lived in Cabot, Ark., for the past year working in the landscape business.
Mr. Palczynsky is survived by his wife, Angie Palczynsky of Cabot, Ark.; daughter Chloe Elizabeth Palczynsky of Cabot, Ark.; his mother of Caddo Mills; four siblings, T.J. Palczynsky of Alpine and Josh Palczynsky, Shana Palczynsky and Chaya Palczynsky, all of Caddo Mills and paternal grandfather Steve Palczynsky of Anardarko, Okla.
His father preceded him in death in 1997.

Cale Sands
COMMERCE " Cale Allen Sands, 20, of Commerce died Thursday in Commerce. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday with the Rev. Terry Bryan officiating. Burial will be at Rosemound Cemetery. Jones-Walker and Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Sands was born Dec. 2, 1980, in Garland to Jackie Sands and Donna Hunter. He graduated from Commerce High School in 1999.
He is survived by his parents, Jackie and Linda Sands of Commerce and Donna and Richard Hunter of Trenton, Texas; sister, Lark Erin Sands of Trenton, Texas; stepbrothers, Larry Wayne Hicks of Commerce, Dustin Hunter of College Station and Brian Hunter of Bowie; grandmother Faye VanZant of Garland; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Dewayne Skieff
ROYSE CITY " Dewayne Skieff, 69, of Royse City died Wednesday. Funeral services were at 2 p.m. Friday at Rest Haven Funeral Home-Royse City Chapel with Rev. George McCain officiating. Burial will be in the Royse City Cemetery.
Born Jan. 14, 1932, in Sewell, Iowa, he was the son of George Cleveland and Gracie Allen Skieff. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a retired auto mechanic.
Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Skieff of Royse City; daughters Cindy Thompson of Alvin and Linda Beeman of Houston; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Brenda Jeffrey
CADDO MILLS " Brenda Ann Jeffrey, 60, of Nevada died Tuesday in Tyler. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at First Baptist Church in Nevada with Rev. George Merritt officiating. Burial is in Nevada Cemetery.
She was born Dec. 1, 1940, in Dallas. She was married to Larry Jeffrey on March 26, 1966, in Dallas.
Surviving are companion Jerry Duncan of Nevada; her mother, Darlene Clark Rattan; sons, Jerry Harvey of Missouri, Dwayne Harvey of California, Larry Jeffrey Jr. of Florida and Chris Jeffrey of Lake Dallas; two daughters, Cindy Robinson of Wylie and Debra Byrd of Alba; brothers Robert Walker of Midlothian and Paul Walker of Silver Leaf; sisters Sandra Dowden of Chandler, Ariz., Karen Walker of Grand Prairie and Doris Walker of Tucson, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Her husband and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
Rentfrow Funeral Home of Royse City is in charge of arrangements.

Marcus Jones
Marcus Dewayne Jones, 33, of Greenville died Tuesday. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at True Vine Baptist Church with Rev. R.L. Maxwell officiating.
Born Aug. 29, 1967 in Greenville, he was the son of Virginia Jones and Raymond Edwards. He attended Greenville schools and was a member of True Vine Baptist Church.
Survivors include his mother of Greenville; a son, Ja'Michael Bailey of Greenville; a brother, Darron L. Jones of Greenville; sister Angela L. Alexander of Dallas; stepbrothers Raymond Edwards Jr., Billy Edwards and Bobby Edwards, all of Sulphur Springs; stepsisters Lila Williams and Keever Edwards, both of Dallas and grandmothers Mrs. Berdie Bell Jones of Greenville and Mrs. Lelila Harvey of Los Angeles, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, David Dewayne Jones.
Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
Grundy Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Bonnie Killough
Bonnie Joe Killough, 61, of Greenville died Wednesday night at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. J.B. Duke and Rev. Kenneth Ballard officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
Daughter of Truman L. Killough and Opal Viola Gregory Killough, she was born Dec. 18, 1939 in Greenville. She was a nurse's aid and was a member of House of Prayer.
A brother, Dale Killough of Greenville; two nieces; one nephew; aunts, uncles and cousins survive.
She was preceded in death by her father in 1996, her mother in 1979 and a brother, Ernest LeRoy Killough in 1950.
Cousins will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Edward Armstrong
Edward Lee Armstrong, 98, of Greenville died Wednesday at his residence. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. today at Lisbon Cemetery in Dallas with Rev. Randy Rather officiating.
Son of Timothy B. Armstrong and Rachel Thorp Armstrong, he was born Dec. 6, 1902 in Texas. On Nov. 6, 1925, he married Hollie Sims in Rockwall. He was a retired car man for Southern Pacific Railroad and was a member of First Baptist Church in Dallas.
Mr. Armstrong is survived by a son, Edward Sims Armstrong of Houston; a daughter, Mary Lee Martin of Greenville; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
His wife, three brothers and four sisters preceded him in death.
Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
