Jennie Redden
LEONARD " Graveside services for Jennie Mae Owen Dooley Redden are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday at the Valley Creek Cemetery near Leonard. She died at her residence Saturday.
Mrs. Redden was a member of the church of Christ.
Surviving are her husband, Manuel "Slim" Redden; three daughters, Mary Frances Prather, Dinah Jean Ibarra and Susan Lorene Smith; three sisters, Arleen Owen, Loese Pace and Marie Chiasson; brother Eugene Owen and three grandchildren.
Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. No visitation is scheduled.

Lucile Orr
DALLAS " Eula Lucile Etheredge Orr of Dallas died Saturday in a Dallas hospital. Services will be at Axe Memorial Methodist Church in Garland on Tuesday at 1 p.m. Graveside services will be at 3:30 p.m. at Brigham Cemetery in Campbell.
Mrs. Orr was born on March 4, 1912, to Ernest and Verna Etheredge in Campbell. She worked for Sears, Roebuck & Co., in 1931 but took leave to join in defense work during World War II. She returned to Sears in 1945 and worked until her retirement in 1970. During her travels she visited Switzerland several time to volunteer in a vacation Bible school for American children whose parents were stationed in Europe. She was also a volunteer for Garland Community Hospital. For the past 12 years whe lived at Blanton Gardens in Dallas.
Surviving are her brothers and sisters-in-law, Bryce and Edith Etheredge of Lubbock and Gordon and Addie Etheredge of Quinlan and her brother, L.D. Etheredge of Greenville. One sister and four brothers preceded her in death.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Parkinson Society.
Restland Funeral Home of Dallas is in charge of arrangements.

Linda Lou McBeth
LEONARD " Linda Lou McBeth, 48, of Leonard, died Friday in a Bonham hospital. No services are planned at this time.
She was born Dec. 29, 1951, in Kaufman County to Sherman and Frances Arnold Good. She was employed by Delta Home Healthcare.
Surviving are two daughters, Lisa Staley and Rebecca Clemons of Leonard.
Taylor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mary Lucille Thornton
WOLFE CITY " Mary Lucille Thornton, 85, of Wolfe City died Saturday in a Dallas hospital. Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church of Wolfe City with Rev. Kevin Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
Mrs. Thornton was born to Charlie and Dora Hooten Finch on May 4, 1916, in the Hickory Creek Community of Hunt County. She married Ozell Thornton on Dec. 19, 1916, in Greenville and he preced her in death in 1994.
Suriving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Max and Nancie Thornton of Irving; a brother, Clifford Finch of Houston and a sister, Mrs. Frances Owens of Corpus Christi; two grandchildren, Jeffry Lynn Thornton of Irving and Charla Kay Matlack and her husband Gregory Matlack of Carrollton, and a great-grandson, Andrew Thomas Matlack of Carrollton.
R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

James D. Willingham
TERRELL " James D. Willingham of Terrell died Saturday at his home. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Weaver Cemetery with Winston Walls officiating.
Mr. Willingham was born in Hunt County on Sept. 29, 1913, to Henry Marvin and Margret Sparks Willingham. He married Hellen Hinchey Willingham in 1972 in McAlister, Okla. He was a veteran of the United States Navy and an agriculture teacher and rancher.
Surviving are his wife; a son, James D. Willingham Jr. of Terrell; daughters Dr. Irene Rae Willingham of Dallas and Inez Faye Campbell of Wylie and five grandchildren.
Quinlan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Harvey Ethridge
BRASHEAR " Harvey J. Ethridge, 91, of Brashear died Friday at Hopkins County Memorial Hospital. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Brashear Baptist Church with the Revs. Charles Ethridge, Archie Stone and Bryan Hutchinson officiating. Burial will be at Brashear Cemetery.
He was born in Hunt County on Nov. 28, 1909, to Laura Mills Ethridge and Levi Washington. On April 14, 1934, he married Opal Irene Boykin in Hopkins County. Mr. Ethridge was a farmer and dairyman until his retirement in 1975. He lived in Brashear since 1940. Mr. Ethridge was a Miller Grove High School graduate. He was a longtime Brashear member and deacon.
Mr. Ethridge is survived by his wife; sons, Julius Ray Ethridge of Hallsville, the Rev. Charles E. Ethridge of Winnsboro, Carroll Ethridge of the Shirley Community, Johnny Merrell Ethridge of Brashear, and Freeman Ethridge and Richard Dean Ethridge, both of Sulphur Springs; daughter, Judy Ann Reed of the Beckham Community; brothers, Earl Ethridge of Dallas, Cameron Ethridge of Farmers Branch and Curtis Ethridge of Miller Grove; sister, Erma Dell Monroe of Malakoff; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Elbert Ethridge, Jessie Ethridge and J.R. Ethridge; sister, Jewel Speed; and two grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at West Oaks Funeral Home.
Ronald Ethridge, Roger Ethridge, Clifford Ethridge, Brian Ethridge, Keith Ethridge, Brad Ethridge, Galen Ethridge and Chad Cobb will serve as pallbearers.

Betty Jean Pugh
CELESTE " Betty Jean Harrison Pugh, 74, of Celeste died Friday at her home. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Celeste with the Rev. James Ralson officiating. Burial will be at Restland Cemetery in Dallas.
She was born Dec. 11, 1926, in Celeste to Pauline Edna Greer and Robert Early Harrison. On Jan. 16, 1948, she married Robert D. Pugh in Dallas. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Celeste.
Mrs. Pugh is survived by her son, Greg Pugh of Dallas; daughter, Barbara Jackson and her husband, Kip, of Lewisville; brothers, Robert Harrison of Celeste, and Lloyd Harrison of Greenville; daughter-in-law, Louise Pugh of Georgetown; granddaughters, Stephanie Revell of Georgetown, Erica Jackson of Lewisville and Shannon Jackson of College Station; two great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husban; son, Robert Pugh; brother, Raymond Harrison; and sister, Edith Moore.
Vistation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Coker Mathews Funeral Home.
Mark Harrison, Jimmy Patterson, James Lloyd Harrison, Johnny Moore, John Allen Pugh, Douglas Johns, Bobby Milner and Jeremy Burdett will serve as pallbearers.

Elmer Cannon
Elmer W. Cannon, 85, of Greenville, formerly of Valley Station, Ken., died Thursday night at Greenville Health and Rehab. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Gordon Grammer officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.
Born Sep. 14, 1915 in Wieland, Hunt County, he was the son of John Wesley "John C." Cannon and Geneva Blond Nix Cannon. On June 6, 1942, he married Jo Marie Barrett in San Antonio. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a mess sergeant and a cook. Mr. Cannon was a member of Southside Church of Christ.
Surviving are his wife of Greenville; two daughters, Barbara Lynn of Lubbock and Mary Watts of Greenville; a sister, Lillie Mae Cummings of Greenville; three granddaughters and one great-grandson.
Two sisters preceded him in death.
Pallbearers are Steve Gilmore, Waldon Krodle, Danny Myrick, Belmer White, Duane Nicholson and Jerry Morrison. Olen Gilmore and Howard Curtis will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Charlette Robison
COMMERCE " Charlette Newman Robison, 47, of Commerce died Tuesday at her residence. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Simmons officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery.
Daughter of Marshall E. Newman and Lorene Lytle, she was born May 16, 1954, in Commerce. She graduated from Commerce High School in 1972. She was married to Earl L. Robison on Sept. 10, 1992, in Hugo, Okla. Mrs. Robison was a certified medication nurse's aid for 12 years. She was a member of Horton Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of Paris; her mother of Sulphur Springs; a daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Monty Miller of Little Elm; two daughters, Anna Jean Lowrie and Amy JoAnn Lowrie, both of Cumby; a sister, Jeannie Bowman of Commerce; brothers Jacky Newman of Jacksonville, Fla. and Ricky Newman of Commerce; a grandson, Cody Wayne Miller of Little Elm; three nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and a brother, Billy Newman.

Josephine Bowers
FARMERSVILLE - Josephine "Jo Ann" Bowers, 66, of Pilotgrove died Tuesday. A graveside service is scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Blue Ridge Cemetery in Blue Ridge with Rev. Johnnie Jones officiating.
Born Sept. 12, 1935, in Fort Worth, she was the daughter of Homer Stitt and Mary Alta Lotspiech Stitt. She was married to Douglas R. Bowers. Mrs. Bowers was a homemaker.
Surviving are daughters, Virginia Desmond of Sherman, Shirley Campbell of McKinney, Mary Ross of Louisiana and Linda Worley of Van Alstyne; sons Clayton Kirby of Celina and Douglas Bowers and Tommy Bowers of Westminister; 24 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Farmersville is in charge of arrangements.

Alta Coker
FARMERSVILLE - Alta Marie Coker, 92, of Merit died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Hurst's Fielder-Baker Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Merit Cemetery in Merit.
Born March 6, 1909, she was the daughter of Oscar Powell and Alfa Mitchell Powell. She was married to Gaston Coker on June 28, 1931, in Durant, Okla. She was a homemaker.Mrs. Coker is survived by a son, Jimmy Coker of Merit and half sister Mabry Huff of Castro Valley, Calif.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Evelyn Hukill
QUINLAN - Evelyn Hukill of Quinlan died Monday in Greenville. Funeral services are at the Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel today at 3 p.m. with Eddie Frazier officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Daughter of James Ansley and Clestia Elizibeth Moore Smith, she was born Nov. 19,1906, in Alba. On Feb, 2, 1924, she was married to Lawrence Edward Smith in Alba. She was a retired seamstress. Mrs. Hukill was a Baptist.
Survivors are two sons, Paul Hukill of Lindale and Jesse Hukill of Quinlan; two daughters, Hellen Allison of Quinlan and Callie Singleton of Ladonia; 11 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a brother, John William Smith, sister Edna Hukill and a daughter, Evelyn Marie Hukill.

Eric Pressley
QUINLAN - Eric Neal Pressley of West Tawakoni died Tuesday in Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Quinlan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Hammond officiating.
Son of Alfred Pressley and Erma Crawford Flournoy, he was born Feb. 16, 1945, in Mena, Ark. On Nov. 8, 1969, he married Carol Jones Pressley in Dallas. Mr. Pressley served in the U.S. Marines. He was a chief pipeline pilot. He was a member of American Legion, Airplane Owners and Pilots Association, Rifleman's Association, Inter-Apprentice Mason and Tressle Board Masonic Lodge.
Survivors include his wife of West Tawakoni; his mother of DeQueen, Ark.; a son, Aaron Neal Pressley of West Tawakoni; daughter Pamela Ann Pressley of Arlington; a brother, Rodney Carl Pressley of Summerville, S.C.; sister Gloria A. Pressley of St. Louis, Mo. and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father and two daughters, Stephanie Carol and Erica Carol.
The funeral home will be open until 8 p.m. today.

Mary Wheat
ROYSE CITY - Mary Frances Wheat, 56, of Royse City died Oct. 5. Services are at 1 p.m. Friday at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Charles Reese officiating. Burial is in Royse City Cemetery. A wake is from 6 to 7 p.m. today at New Hope Baptist Church.
Mrs. Wheat was a member of St. James AME Church.
Surviving are her husband, Henry Wheat Sr. of Royse City; mother, Mary Lou of McKinney; sons, Malcolm McKinney, John Paul Woodson, William Woodson and Lonnie Hughes, all of Royse City; daughters, Patricia McKinney and Veronica McKinney, both of Royse City; brother, Marcellus McKinney of Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Betty Jo Pierce of Royse City; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father, one son, grandmother and granddaughter.

Brenda Bolin
LEONARD - Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Jozeen Bolin, 50, of Leonard, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Taylor Funeral Home with Mike Davis, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Valley Creek Cemetery near Leonard.
Mrs. Bolin died Monday at the Presbyterian Hospital of Dallas.
Daughter of Willie James Sides and Ruby Drummond Sides, she was born March 23, 1951, in Jasper, Ala. Mrs. Bolin was a homemaker and a member of the Valley Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are sons Bruce Bolin of Garland and Steven Bolin of Leonard; a daughter, Vanessa Bolin of Leonard; brothers Benard Valdez of Farmers Branch, Manuel Valdez of Addison and David Valdez of Mesquite; sisters Carolyn Tonihka of Leonard, Marilyn Cleary of Addison, Delia McDaniel of Mesquite, Benita Brown of Carrollton, Cresencia Valdez of Dallas and Ruby Rogers of Mesquite and two grandchildren.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Leola Johnson
Leola Johnson, 96, of Greenville died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Grundy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald Weatherall officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.
Daughter of Luvenia Peas, she was born Dec. 3, 1904. She was a member of Clark Street Christian Church.
Mrs. Johnson is survived by a son, Zelma Mixon of Greenville; nieces, Ruby Jean Lovelace of Greenville, Vennie Lee Luster of Dallas and Joyce Ann Jeffery of Dallas and nephews James Fluellen of Dallas, Tommy Jeffery of Greenville, Charles Jeffery of Lufkin and Larone Jeffery of Greenville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eli Johnson; two sisters, Lynn Johnson and Ruby Lee Eubanks and a brother, Fred Burley.

William Johnson
EMORY - William Lin "Sonny" Johnson, 61, of Irving died Monday at Baylor Hospital of Irving. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Pilgrims Rest Church with Mark Roberts officiating. Burial will be in Pilgrims Rest No. 1 Cemetery.
Born May 11, 1940, in Howe, he was the son of Broatis Franklin and Avo Opal Watkins Johnson. He and Winnie Gail Adair were married Oct. 4, 1957, in Irving. Mr. Johnson was a laboratory technician for specialty coatings. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife of Irving; his mother of Irving; two sons, Scott Johnson of Bonham and Todd Johnson of Irving; two daughters, Kelley Courtney of Irving and Traci Rowland of Midlothian; brother J.W. Johnson of Irving; sisters Jeraldine Holley of Garland, Jean Shampoe of Garland, Kathy Lee of Dallas and Ann Lane of Gilmer; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
An infant son, Tony Johnson, preceded him in death.
Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home of Emory.
