James Lynn

James L. Lynn of Sachse died Sunday at Baylor Medical Center in Garland. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Peters Funeral Home Chapel with Rickie Jenkins officiating. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. Thursday at Athens City Cemetery in Athens, Ala.

The son of James T. Lynn and Melinda Thompson Lynn, he was born Aug. 24, 1923 in Lacon, Ala. He married Maggie E. Annerton in Alabama in 1946. He served in the U. S. Army in World War II.

Mr. Lynn was a service technician. He was a member of College Park Church of Christ in Richardson.

Surviving are two sons, James D. Atherton of Huntsville, Ala. and Toney M. Lynn of Sachse; two sisters, Janie Allen and Eva Crawford, both of Athens, Ala.; grandchildren Jason Annerton, Matt Annerton and Michelle Rae Neeley and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife in 1970; one brother, Willie Lynn and two sisters, Ethel King and Mildred Childress.

John Robertson

EMORY - John Ernest Robertson, 76, of Emory, died Sunday at East Texas Medical Center in Tyler. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Billy Smith officiating. Burial is in Emory City Cemetery.

The son of Charlie and Susie Richey Robertson, he was born in Rains County. On Jan. 3, 1942 he married Dorothy Godwin in Emory. Mr. Robertson served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was an oil field engineer and he was a Baptist.

He is survived by his wife of Emory; two sons, John Robertson of Emory and Chuck Robertson of Sugarland; a daughter, Evannah Jasper of Spring; a brother, Homer Robertson of Emory and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Chuck Robertson, Evannah Jasper, John Robertson, Justin Jasper, Ryan Jasper and Jay Robertson. Honorary pallbearers are Leon Steinocher, Delbert Traylor, Ralph Middleton, Dalton H. Bookout and Pete Godwin

Visitation is from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Angela Sims

EMORY - Angela Sims, 36, of Emory died Saturday. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. George Weldon and Rev. Arlis Banks officiating. Burial is in the Crandall Cemetery.

She was born in Kaufman on Nov. 16, 1962, daughter of Billy and Jennie Tucker Foote. She was a packer for Trinidad-Benham Corp. and she was a Baptist.

Surviving are her parents of Emory; a grandfather, H.W. Foote Sr. of Blossom; two daughters, Stacey Thornton of Emory and Melody Thornton of Wylie; three brothers, Eddie Fuller of Combine, Billy Stansell of Plano and James Stansell of Dallas and two grandchildren.

Friends will serve as pallbearers.

J.H. Blakemore

J.H. "Jay" Blakemore, 72, of Merit died Wednesday at Presbyterian Hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Merit Baptist Church with Rev. James Seigler and Rev. Nick Lamb officiating. Burial will be in Merit Cemetery.

Born Jan. 31, 1926 in the Hopewell Community, Hunt County, he was the son of J.S. Blakemore and Bertie P. Molen Blakemore. He married Edith Louise Seigler on Oct. 4, 1947 in Whitewright.

He served in the Air Force during World War II. Mr. Blakemore was a farmer and rancher and was in the produce business. He was a member of Merit Baptist Church and was a former member of the Bland School Board for 15 years.

Surviving are his wife of Merit; five sons, Randell Blakemore of Sulphur Springs, Larry Blakemore of Merit, David Blakemore of Greenville, Jerry Blakemore of Garland and Billy Blakemore of Farmersville; one daughter, Kay Sharkey of Merit; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edwin M. Blakemore and a sister, Edna Earl Pennington.

Pallbearers are Chris Gravely, Mike Blakemore, Jeremy Blakemore, Jesse Blakemore, Larry Blakemore, Randy Blakemore, Ed Reames and Monty Blakemore.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home of Greenville.

Nadyne Hancock

HENDERSON - Nadyne Gladney Hancock, 88, of Henderson died Thursday at Mother Frances Hospital in Tyler. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Doyle Sumrall and Rev. Jere Wilson officiating. Burial is in Old City Cemetery.

Mrs. Hancock was born Sept. 27, 1910, in Tatum. She was retired from the Rusk County Clerk office and a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two daughters, Margaret Sumrall of Henderson and Laurinda Gloss of Boulder, Colo.; one son, Joseph Hancock of Grand Saline; and five grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Stephen Sumrall, Jonathan Sumrall, Eric Alpenfels, Joe Hancock, Jarrett Major and Richard Gloss. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Carroll, Jim Pendergrass, Sam Furguson, Robert Furguson, Roger Furguson and Otis Furguson.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Crawford-A. Crim Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.

Sandra McManigal

KENEDY - Sandra Sue McManigal, 50, of Kenedy died Dec. 5. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Choate Baptist Church. Burial will be in Choate Cemetery.

She attended South Garland High School, University of Texas-San Antonio and Bee County College. She taught instructors CPR and was an active volunteer of American Red Cross.

Surviving are her mother, Dorothy Hackler Turner of Quinlan and brothers Morris S. McManigal Jr. of San Antonio and Brian T. McManigal of Garland.

Memorials may be made to Choate Cemetery or Choate Baptist Church.

John White

ENNIS - John H. White, 78, of Wanette, Okla. died Tuesday at the Norman Regional Hospital in Norman, Okla. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Keever Mortuary Chapel in Ennis. Burial is in Myrtle Cemetery.

Mr. White was born Aug. 4, 1920, in Fairy; the son of Gen. Anderson and Molly Blakely White. He was married to Yvonne Thomas on July 21, 1986.

A graduate of Ropesville High School, he worked as a carpenter for unions in Lubbock, California and Dallas, where he was a member of Local No. 198. He retired from carpentry in 1984 after 35 years.

Surviving are his wife of Wanette; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Sandra White of Lake Charles, La.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Lacona and Jimmie Sharp of Gallatin, Tenn., and Johnia and Danny Neal of Ennis; two step-children, Brenda Roberts of Wanette, Okla. and Libby Thomas of Spriner, N.M.; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; andfour great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Novel E. Gallimore

FARMERSVILLE - Novel E. Gallimore, 102, of Farmersville died Wednesday at Hinton Nursing Home. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at the First Methodist Church in Farmersville with Rev. Doyle Henderson officiating. Burial is in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

She was born July 27, 1896 in Eglantine, Ark.; the daughter of William Walley and Etta Cullum Walley. She married J.C. Gallimore in Greenville on Dec. 20, 1916.

Mrs. Gallimore was a homemaker and she was a member of First Methodist Church in Farmersville.

Surviving are a son, John C. Gallimore Jr. of Angel Fire, N.M.; eight grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Fielder-Baker Funeral Home.

Mack Cole Jr.

McKINNEY - Mack Buck Cole Jr., 68, of McKinney died Friday at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home Chapel in McKinney with Rev. Coy Tarver officiating. Burial is in Ridgeview Memorial Park.

He was born Feb. 22, 1930 in Greenville to Mack Buck Cole Sr. and Pearlie Cole. He married Judy Carol Hinkle on Dec. 25, 1974 in McKinney.

Surviving are his wife of McKinney; daughter Ruth Cole of Dallas; sons Mack Buck Cole III of McKinney, Billy Charles Cole Jr. of Dallas and Eugene Cole of McKinney; a brother, J.C. Cole of McKinney; a daughter-in-law, Barbara Jenkins of McKinney; sisters-in-law Will Puret and Winnie Puret of Garland and five grandchildren.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Geneva Ford

LANCASTER - Geneva Mae Ford of Lancaster died Monday. Funeral services are at 1 p.m. Friday at Byrum Funeral Home in Lancaster with Rev. Ed Adair officiating. Burial is in Rawlins Cemetery.

The daughter of Frank Allen Camp and Gladys Foster, she was born Sept. 20, 1923 in Waxahachie.

Surviving are her mother Gladys Smith; two sons, Patrick McWhorter of Lancaster and Ricky Smith of Irving; four daughters, Ayn Yates of Greenville, Neva Smith of Tawakoni, Sherry Smith of Garland and Sharla Harrison of Dallas; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Loyd Hudson

There is a graveside service at 1 p.m. today for Loyd Wayne Hudson of Greenville at Hiram Cemetery in Wills Point. He died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.

He was born June 26, 1937 in Bowie, son of Alby Hudson and Ione Lovelady Hudson. He married Shirley Brown on Nov. 29, 1986 in Hiram. Mr. Hudson served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He retired as a communications technician with Southwestern Bell, and he was a member of American Legion Post 17.

Surviving are his wife of Greenville; his mother of Bowie; two sons, Mark Hudson of Campbell and Jeff Hudson of Woodbine, Ga.; two daughters, Wanda Wineinger of Henderson and Kristy Holt of California; three brothers, Charles Hudson of Houston, Rickey Hudson of Broken Bow, Okla. and Jesse Hudson of Golden, Calif. and eight grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father in 1983 and one sister, Colene Hudson in 1993.

Peters Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Harold Lawwill

COMMERCE - Harold Stanley Lawwill, 72, of Commerce died Monday. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at Pemberton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is in Brigham Cemetery in Campbell.

He was born Nov. 12, 1926 in Jeffersonville, Ohio to Herman Stanley Lawwill and Minnie Westfall. He married Lucille Cunagin on Aug. 18, 1970 in Richmond, Ind. Mr. Lawwill attended public schools in Jeffersonville, Ohio.

Mr. Lawwill moved to Commerce from Dayton, Ohio in 1984. He was employed by General Electric Supply Company for 16 years and retired from Sherwood Medical in 1992.

Surviving are his wife of Commerce; three sons, Jimmy Lawwill of Commerce, Robert Lawwill of Cleveland, Ohio and John Lawwill of Dayton, Ohio; a daughter, Sally Lawwill of Commerce; a brother, Edward Leroy Lawwill of Washington Courthouse, Ohio; two sisters, Lois Blouse of Bookwalter, Ohio and Barbara Brown of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandsons; four granddaughters and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Patsy Cunagin in 1975.

Pallbearers are Michael Lawwill, Robert Lawwill Jr., Raymond Lawwill, Ryan Lawwill, Johnny Lawwill and Jason Lawwill.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Jessie McCollam

Graveside services for Jessie Irene McCollam, 91, of Greenville are at 3 p.m. today at Memoryland Memorial Park with Rev. Mike Nichols officiating. She died Monday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville.

Born June 2, 1907 in Fannin County, she was the daughter of Marvin J. Owings and Mamie Lou Sanders McCollum. She married Ellis McCollam on March 30, 1924 in Cumby.

She was the great-great-granddaughter of Daniel Slack who arrived in Northeast Texas in 1836. The Slack community near Greenville was named for the Slack family.

Mrs. McCollam attended Greenville public schools. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Lt. Col. Edward Ellis McCollam, retired, of Greenville; a son, David McCollam of Greenville; a daughter, Mamie Lou McCollam Ayers of Fair Oaks; a sister, Mayfair Owings of Georgetown; grandsons, David Byron McCollam and Joe Edward Ayers and two great-grandchildren, Aaron Charles Paul Ayers and Cuyler Elizabeth Ayers.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Margie McCook

CADDO MILLS - Margie Nell McCook, 68, of Caddo Mills died Sunday at her residence. Graveside services are at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery with Rev. George McCain officiating.

The daughter of Alvin Preston Martin and Ila Mae Atichisin Martin, she was born Sept. 28, 1930 in Ralls. She married Pat Brennan. Mrs. McCook was a title clerk at Jackson Motors.

Surviving are her husband of Caddo Mills; a son, Richard Medlen of Rockwall; two daughters Ann Medlen Henderson of Royse City and Beverly Saulters of Hurst; a brother, Thurman Martin of Wichita Falls; a sister, Glenna Hughes of Big Springs; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rentfrow Funeral Home in Caddo Mills.

Mrs. Willie Price

Mrs. Willie Price of Greenville died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Eastside Church of Church with Maceal Nixon officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.

The daughter of Ruben and Anna Warren Hillis, she was born Sept. 4, 1911 in Marietta. She married Henry Price in 1958 in Rockwall. Mrs. Price was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Church of Christ.

Surviving are her husband of Greenville; three foster sons, James Allen and Roy Allen of Los Angeles, Calif., and Hobart Allen of Dallas; a foster daughter, Mary White of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Lillie Bell Epps of Linden and Trudie Vaction of Caddo Mills and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Trella Arbuckle

Trella Martina Arbuckle, 90, of Greenville died Sunday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church with Rev. Kirk Jones officiating. Graveside services are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas.

Mrs. Arbuckle was born July 11, 1908, in Wagner; the daughter of Edgar L. and Martha Tippins Rogers. She was married to Theo E. Arbuckle on April 11, 1925, in Fort Worth. She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Surviving are sons, Theo E. Arbuckle Jr. of San Antonio and Loren Arbuckle of Conroe; daughter, Judith Dean of Greenville; 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband on Feb. 23, 1971.

Pallbearers are John Arbuckle, K.C. Arbuckle, Chad Groebe, David Groebe, James Arbuckle and Bill Waller.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, which is in charge of the arrangements.
