Harlan Tiffee

WOLFE CITY -Harlan L. Tiffee, 47, of Wolfe City died Saturday at Presbyterian Hospital in Greenville. Services are at 10 a.m. Tuesday at R.W. Owens & Son Funeral Home Chapel with Tim Schnault officiating. Burial is in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Mr. Tiffee was born May 28, 1952, in Dallas; the son of Howard R. and Mary Owens Tiffee. He married Karen Weber on Feb. 18, 1989, in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a retired machinist and a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife of Wolfe City; son, Josh Gonzales of Wolfe City; daughters, Shawna White of Slidell and Jennifer Gonzales of Wolfe City; brothers, David Tiffee of Greenville, Rocky Tiffee and Chad Tiffee, both of Wolfe City, and Lee Smith of the White Rock communigy; sisters, Vickeyt Bejarano and Sherry Tillery, both of Wolfe City; and three grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Josh Gonzales, Clint Clifton, Dustin Giles, Joe Wilkinson, John Wilkinson and Sam Perry.

Viisitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Irene Johnson

Irene W. Johnson, 82, of Greenville died Thursday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Monday at the Eastside Church of Christ with Maceal Nixon officiating. Burial will be in East Mount Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson was born Oct. 22, 1916 in Campbell, the daughter of Tom and Simon Lascester Wright. She married J. C. Johnson in Hunt County. She was a homemaker and a member of the Eastside Church of Christ.

Survivors include a son, Jackie Johnson of Greenville; two daughters Jimmie Johnson and Phillippia Phillips, both of Greenville; and eight grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, two brothers, and four sisters.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Green, Rev. Larry Price, Eddie R. McNeial, Darl Cole, Marvin Cole, Jr. and Calvin Cole.

Francis Lambright

QUINLAN - Francis Lambright, 79, of Quinlan died Friday in Terrell. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Quinlan Funeral Chapel with Pastor Sidney Stone officiating. Burial will be in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.

Mr. Lambright was born Aug. 12, 1919 in Limestone County, the son of A. C. Lambright and Vadie Lee Avant Lambright. He married Christine Lambright on April 12, 1941 in Grosbeck. He was employed as a septic tank worker and was a Baptist.

Survivors include his wife Christine Lambright of Quinlan; two sons, Francis Eugene Lambright of Irving, and James Randel Lambright of Terrell; four daughters, Pat Seabolt of Quinlan, Donna Pena of Euless, Barbara Maxwell of Jefferson, and Larna Greer of Emory; a sister Jewel Brewer of Garland, 13 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Eugene Lambright, Dean Maxwell, Christopher Pena, Kevin Seabolt, Billy Lambright, Keith Seabolt, and Clayton Greer.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Quinlan Lybrand Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.

Frank Miller

LONE OAK - Frank Lester Miller, 77, of Lone Oak died Thursday at his residence. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Point. Burial will be in Restland Cemetery in Dallas.

Mr. Miller was born April 12, 1922 in Holly, Colorado, the son of Arthur L. Miller and Eva Mae Dapron. He married Claudine Annie Henslee in Dallas in 1944. He was a veteran of the U. S. Air Force and was a carpenter. He was was member of First Baptist Church in Point.

Survivors include his wife, Claudine Annie Miller of Lone Oak; three sons, Larry Miller of Lone Oak, Phillip Miller of Lone Oak, and Allen Miller of East Tawakoni; a daughter Cathy Cobb of Garland; three brothers; two sisters nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Stanley Miller in 1993, five brothers and a sister.

Pallbearers are Frank W. Miller, Larry R. Miller II, William Cobb, and Russell W. Miller.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home in Greenville who is in charge of arrangements.

Gene Turner

TERRELL - Gene Turner, 79, of Terrell died Saturday in Terrell. Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Monday at West Memorial Park with Rev. Ron King officiating.

Mr. Turner was born April 16, 1920 in Quinlan, the son of Brit and Hilda McCaslan Turner. He was a veteran, having served with the U. S. Marines. He was a farmer and a Baptist.

Survivors include two sons, Bruce Turner of Edgewood and Greg Turner of Ennis, and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Quinlan Lybrand Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rubye Barron

Funeral services for Mrs. Rubye M. Barron, 87, of Caddo Mills, will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jimmy Rose and Rev. Gene Welborn officiating. Burial will be in Memoryland Memorial Park.

She died at Thursday at Park Haven Nursing Center.

Born March 7, 1912 in Hunt County, she was the daughter of J.P. Strawn and Ida Baumgardner Strawn. On March 25, 1939 she married John Barron in Dallas.

Mrs. Barron retired from sales at a variety store. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband of Caddo Mills; son and daughter-in-law Jim and Kay Barron of Tyler; a brother, Weldon Strawn of Greenville; a sister, Bertha Stribling of Sulphur Springs; grandsons and wives Jeff and Terri Barron of Arlington and Keith and Gina Barron of Forney and two great-granddaughters, Shelby and Kaylie Barron.

She was preceded in death by a brother and three sisters.

Pallbearers will be nephews Rodney Ludwig, Gary Stribling, David Stribling, Leon Welborn, Jerry Welborn, Terry Stewart and Larry Strawn.

Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Hallie Johnson

Mrs. Hallie Dowell Johnson of Dallas, formerly of Greenville, died Thursday at South Dallas Nursing Home. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. today at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Greenville with Rev. C.R. Wren officiating. Burial will be in Grundy Memorial Park.

Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie and Winnie Dowell, she was born June 4, 1911 in Avinger. She married Rev. C.H. Johnson in Hunt County. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church.

She is survived by a son, Bobby Mims of Dallas; two sisters, Catherine Shaw of Greenville and Bessie Johnson of Dallas; one grandchild; two great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Her husband preceded her in death.

Pallbearers will be Gary Dunn, Kurt Winn, Kalon Winn, Phillip Dukes, Gary Roberts and Charles Hensley.

Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Kenneth Perry

IRVING - Kenneth Perry, 65, of Quinlan died Wednesday at his home. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Chism-Smith Funeral Home in Irving. Burial will be in Old Hall Cemetery in Lewisville.

He was born Feb. 22, 1934 in Dallas. Mr. Perry had been a resident of Quinlan for the last six years. He was a production supervisor for Premdor. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Surviving are son, Steve Perry of Greenville; his mother, Edith Perry of Irving; two brothers, Keith Perry of Irving and Dixon Perry of Midland and one sister, Jeanne Blackwell of Dallas and one granddaughter.

Visitation is from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home located at 129 South O'Connor in Irving.

Floyd Storey

MOUNT PLEASANT - Floyd Wayne Storey, 47, of Cash died at his home Sunday following a battle with cancer. Funeral services were at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Bates-Cooper-Robison Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Pleasant with Larry Partin officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

He was born May 24, 1952 in Dallas. Mr. Storey was a member of Lochwood Baptist Church in Dallas.

He is survived by his mother, Evie Storey of Cash; two sisters, Venita Cook of Cash and Linda Dunn of Dallas; two nephews, two nieces, a great-niece and two aunts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ervin Storey on Dec. 23, 1997.

Imabene Braly

ROCKWALL - Imogene Pollard Braly of Rockwall died Wednesday at Lake Pointe Medical Center in Rowlett after a short illness. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. today at Lyons Funeral Home Chapel in Rockwall. Burial is in Grove Hill Memorial Park in Dallas.

She was born June 3, 1920 in Celeste.

Surviving are a son, David Clark Fitzgerald; a daughter, Terri McIntire; 17 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Clark Fitzgerald, in 1981 and a son, Vernon Fitzgerald, in 1997.

Nelle McCandless

VENTURA, Calif. - Nelle M. McCandless, 86, of Ventura, Calif. died June 3 at her residence after a brief illness. Services were at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Ted Mayr Funeral Home in Ventura with Rev. Jim Wells officiating. Burial was in Ivy Lawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. McCandless was born July 7, 1912 in Alabama and was a 45-year county resident, moving to California from Texas in 1954. She worked as a packaging supervisor for Sunkist for 25 years.

She is survived by sisters Roene C. Foster of Laguna Niguel, Bessie L. Pemberton of Greenville, Kathryn E. Alston of Tarpon Springs, Fla. and Dorothy J. Hess of Greenville; nephew and wife Richard and Maria McAmis of Seal Beach and numerous other nieces, nephews and cousins.

David Self Sr.

McKINNEY - David Glenn Self Sr., 43, of Plano died Monday at the Dallas-Ft. Worth Medical Center in Grand Prairie. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church Chapel in Plano. Burial is in Ridgeview Memorial Park in Allen.

The son of Edward Leonard and Rosa Lee Jackson Self, he was born July 29, 1955 in McKinney.

Mr. Self is survived by children David Glenn Self Jr. of Campbell and Sheila Sherwood of Foreman, Ark.; his parents of Plano; sisters Patricia Ann Busch of Plano, Linda McDonald of St. Charles, Mo. and Donna Self of Plano and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Carl Self.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in McKinney.

Frances Williams

DALLAS - Frances "Nonie" Margurette Copeland Williams of Greenville died Monday in Dallas. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. Friday at Laurel Land Memorial Chapel in Dallas. Burial will be in Laurel Land Memorial Park.

She was born Jan. 7, 1923 in Mineral Wells to Allen Glen Copeland and Ola Bell Hearn Copeland.

Surviving are children Freddie Anne Williams, Dr. Herb Williams, Bobbie Frances and Jackie Corley; two sisters; two brothers; nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert F. Williams Sr.

Visitation is from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Willie Jernigan

Willie Jernigan of Wolfe City died Saturday at Dallas Baylor Medical Center. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Wolfe City with Rev. Wayne Aimes officiating. Burial will be in Mount Carmel Cemetery.

Son of Joseph and Katie Sanders Jernigan, he was born June 30, 1942 in Marshall. He was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church.

Surviving are his mother of Wolfe City; two daughters, Yolanda Jernigan and Christy Jernigan of Paris; three brothers, Joe Jernigan of Wolfe City, Eddie V. Jernigan Sr. of Paris and Albert Jernigan of Plano and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father and a sister.

Pallbearers will be McArthur Jernigan, Cedrick Jernigan, Dumas Campbell, Eddie V. Jernigan Jr., Willie F. Murphy and Greg Armstrong.

Visitation is from 6 to 7 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.

Mary Lane

COMMERCE - Mary Nell Lane, 60, of Paris, formerly of Commerce, died Monday at McCuistion Regional Medical Center in Paris. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today at Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce with Rev. Terry Bryan officiating. Burial will be in Rosemound Cemetery.

She was born Feb. 9, 1939 in Elwood to B. and Berta Faye Davis Hamilton. She was married to Daniel Ray Lane on Dec. 27, 1958 in Durant, Okla.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Russell and Rita Lane of Farmersville, Aubrey Lane of Commerce, John and Karen Lane of Roxton, Clint and Terri Lane of Commerce, Tim and Jerri Lane of Irving, Marc and Denise Lane of Irving and Chris and Holly Lane of Paris; daughters and sons-in-law Kara and Alan Samuel of Paris, Beth and Eddie Burgin of Campbell and Laura and Jim Nickerson of Paris; sisters Dot Hutchins of Dodd City and Dean Caddell of Bonham; special friend Richard Davis of Paris; 21 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her husband on July 31, 1984; a son, Danny Ray Lane on Oct. 28, 1978; her parents and a brother, Glyn Hamilton.

Pallbearers will be Russell Lane, Aubrey Lane, John Lane, Clint Lane, Tim Lane, Marc Lane, Chris Lane and Richard Davis.

Jimmy Lester

DALLAS - Jimmy Earl Lester of Wellington, formerly of Lone Oak, died Friday. Funeral services will be at noon Thursday at Donelton Baptist Church in Lone Oak with Rev. Jackie McNeese officiating. Burial will be in Donelton Cemetery.

He was born June 8, 1940 in Dallas to James Whitfield Lester and Alta Leona Lester.

Surviving are six children, Jimmie Earl Lester Nantz of Grand Prairie, Tina Marie Lester Faulks of Grand Prairie, David Earl Lester of Dallas, Cynthia Ann McMillian of Mesa, Ariz., Teresa Lynn Warner of Elkhart and Michelle Rene Arterberry of Irving; four sisters, Joyce Spurlock of Canton, Juanita McKinley of Loxley, Ala., Charlene Smith of Greshem, Ore. and Imogene Schones of Lone Oak and 18 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Maggie Wilson; three brothers, James David Lester, Wayne Lester and Estie Childers and a grandson, George David Warner.

Pallbearers will be Lindzie Hunter, Melvin Pouge, Clyde Clark, David Lester, Brian Faulks, George Warner, Kurtis Luff and John Arterberry.

Washington Memorial Funeral Home of Dallas is in charge of arrangements.

Leon Palmer

COMMERCE - Leon Palmer, 90, of Commerce, died Tuesday. There is a graveside service at 4 p.m. today at Spring Family Cemetery in Hugo, Okla. Rev. Edwin "Mutt" Wallace will officiate.

Son of John Palmer and Bessie Smith Palmer, he was born Jan. 19, 1909 in San Angelo. On Aug. 29, 1929 he married Lorene Spring in the Horton Community.

Mr. Palmer moved to Commerce from Garland in 1988. He was an auto mechanic and a farmer. He worked for Brackeen Motor Company in Commerce and then at Red Bankston Ford Company in Garland. Mr. Palmer was a member of the Horton Baptist Church.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Johnny E. and Sylvia Palmer of Commerce; son Rex M. Palmer of Tyler; two brothers, Neil Palmer of Corpus Christi and Lynn Palmer of Austin; seven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife in 1990; two sons, James B. Palmer and Billy Gene Palmer; a brother, Frank Palmer and three sisters, Willodene Clayton, Estell Hudson and Ruth Palmer.

Pallbearers will be Johnny Rich, Joe Burgess, Randy Palmer, Kirk Palmer, David Williams, Jonathan Chilton, Jerry Thompson and Vince Barnes.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. today at Pemberton Funeral Home in Commerce.
