Mamie Dooley

CADDO MILLS ­ Mamie Vera Dooley of Caddo Mills died Monday at Smith Nursing Home. Funeral services are at Rentfrow Funeral Home Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday with Rev. Billy Norris officiating. Burial is in Kleberg Cemetery.

The daughter of T.A. Grogan and Issie Louise Chrisman Grogan, she was born Feb. 12, 1911 in Kleberg. She married Clifford Dooley in Dallas County on March 3, 1956. Mrs. Dooley was a homemaker.

Surviving are a brother, W.W. Grogan of Alto; a sister, Vela Artenstein of Florida; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two sons, Morris Dean Till and Edwin Till.

Pallbearers are Phil Sauseda, Mal Stanislaus, Leonard Carrion, Rick Gunderson and Terry Humble.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Jack Sandlin

Jack Sandlin of Liberty Hill, formerly of Paris, died Sunday in Temple. There is a memorial service at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home Chapel.

Born in Greenville on Nov. 21, 1938, he was the son of Howard Sandlin and Nellie Cummings Sandlin. He married Brenda Jackson in 1957. Mr. Sandlin served in the Naval Air Reserve in 1962. He owned and operated Liberty Hill Machine.

Surviving are his parents of Greenville; a brother, Sam Sandlin of Paris; two sisters, Debbie Perez of Campbell and Shirley Flippin of Sulphur Springs and nieces and nephews.

His wife preceded him in death in 1991.

Jesse Tadlock

EMORY ­ Jesse L. Tadlock, 69, of Edgewood died Sunday at Cosby-Germany Hospital in Grand Saline. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Thursday at Wilson-Orwosky Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Louis Novak officiating.

The son of George L. Tadlock and Zela E. Stover, he was born Jan. 22, 1930 in Emory. On Oct. 7, 1951 he married Dolores Vanlewvan in Dallas. He served in the U.S. Marines with the occupational troops after World War II.

Mr. Tadlock was a retired supervisor for ARA Manufacturing and he was a farmer. He was a member of Smyrna Church.

Surviving are his wife of Edgewood; sons, Richard Tadlock of Irving, Stephen Tadlock of Keller, Val Tadlock of Euless, Kevin Tadlock of Michigan and Keith Tadlock of Michigan; daughters, Kathleen. Tucker of Cisco, Deborah Tadlock of Grand Saline and Sharron Erspamer of Michigan; a brother, Albert Tadlock of Waxahachie; a sister, Sally Alcorn of Burleson; 14 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Anna Kuykendall

LONE OAK ­ Anna Kuykendall, 74, of Lone Oak died Friday in Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. No services are planned by Quinlan LyBrand Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kuykendall was born March 6, 1925, in Woodbury, N.J.

She is survived by her husband, Lee Kuykendall of Lone Oak; and a brother, Merle Marple.

Therman Mooneyham Sr.

QUINLAN­ Therman Mooneyham Sr., 55, of Quinlan died Saturday at Parkland Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at LyBrand Funeral Home with John Yeager and Doug Parr officiating. Burial is in West Memorial.

Mr. Mooneyham was born July 22, 1944, in Dallas; the son of Ray and Helen Mooneyham.

He was a truck driver, a member of the Baptist Church and the Masonic Lodge. He was a U.S. Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Lillian Mooneyham, of Quinlan; son, Therman Mooneyham Jr. ; daughter, Helene Mooneyham; brother, Jimmy Mooneyham; and three sisters, Rena Kukendall, Mary McCloud and Patricia McFadden.

He was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.

Clifford Hill

FORNEY ­ Services for Clifford B. Hill, 62, of Forney, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Central Baptist Church in Crandall with Rev. John Brooks and Rev. Mike Goodman officiating. Burial will in the Crandall Cemetery. He died Friday at St. Paul Hospital in Dallas.

Born in the Hickory Creek Community of Hunt County on Sept. 30, 1936, he was the son of George Lee and Ruby Lee Wallace Hill. He married Darlene Walker in Forney on Aug. 8, 1990. He was a retired maintenance worker and a member of Central Baptist Church in Crandall.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene Hill of Forney; two daughters, Lori Fulton of Cooper and Amanda Felts of Seagoville; three sons, Stephen Hill of Wolfe City, Robert Goodman of Sulphur Springs and Mike Goodman of Duncanville; and four brothers, Duard Hill and William Hill, both of Delco, N.C.; G. L. Hill of Garland and Lloyd Lanier of Celeste.

Pallbearers include David Manley, Billy Rose, Robert Goodman, G. L. Hill, Lloyd Lanier, Bobby Goodman and Rodney Felts.

Visitation is scheduled from 4 until 8 p.m. today at R. W. Owens Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Scotty Toms

Graveside services for Scotty Toms, 15, of Greenville will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memoryland Memorial Park. He died Saturday in Greenville.

Born in Greenville on June 15, 1984, he was the son of Steven Lynn Toms Sr. and Julie Lynn Kimberlin. He was a ninth grade student at Greenville High School.

He is survived by his father, Steven Lynn Toms Sr. of Canton; mother and step-father, Julie Lynn and Jimmy Rackler of Greenville; grandparents Janet Kimberlin of Greenville, Charles Kimberlin of Lone Oak and Judy Toms Hamms of Seagoville; brothers, Steven Lynn Toms Jr. of Greenville and Deugan Lee Toms of Canton; a sister, Sonja Lynn Toms Ruiz of Edgewood; a niece, Mary Ruiz of Edgewood and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Billy Joe Toms.

Pallbearers include Raymond Ruiz, Kenny Kimberlin, Stacy Kimberlin, Mark Kimberlin, Mike Kimberlin and Chuck Kimberlin.

Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday at Coker-Mathews Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.

Verna Zickefoose

COMMERCE ­ Services for Verna Zickefoose, 69, of Commerce, will be 2 p.m. Monday at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father D. Stanley Corcoran officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery in Cumby. She died Friday in Paris.

Born in Olney on Dec. 6, 1929, she was the daughter of Raymond A. Christa and Stella Walton. She married James L. Zickefoose in Las Vegas on Sept. 7, 1989. She was an employee at Skaggs Alpha-Beta in Dallas for 23 years and retired in 1992. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Commerce.

She is survived by her husband, James L. Zickefoose of Commerce; three daughters and one son-in law, Carol and Terry Holley of Commerce, Paula Reeves of Crowley and Diana Roberts of Wylie; two sisters, Vida Scobee and Pat Carter, both of Olney; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers include Dale Mize, Lonnie Mize, Jeff Foster, Don Buck, Kenneth Bruhn and Steven Holley.

Rosary is scheduled at 6 p.m. today at Pemberton Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements. Visitation is scheduled from 6 until 8 p.m. today.

Avon Barker

Avon J. Barker, 79, of Greenville died Thursday at Briarcliff Health Center in Greenville. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Peters Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Shaddox officiating. Burial is in Forest Park Cemetery.

Mrs. Barker was born Feb. 6, 1920, in Hunt County; the daughter of Robert R. and Gladys Puryear Orr. She was a seamstress for Greenville Pant Manufacturer for 32 years and a member of Salem-Kinser United Methodist Church.

Surviving are two brothers, Charles Orr of Greenville and James Orr of Dallas; sister, Pearl O'Neil of Greenville; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Sandra Barker; brother, Robert Orr Jr. ; and sister, Tommie Lee Orr.

Pallbearers are Ron Orr, Shane Tarpley, Brett Tarpley, Fred McWhorter and Danny Burns.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lillian Boren

BLUE RIDGE ­ Lillian Relatrice Boren, 91, of Blue Ridge died Wednesday at Leonard Nursing Home. There is a graveside service at 2 p.m. today at Blue Ridge Cemetery with Rev. Rick Riddle officiating.

Born in Blue Ridge on March 16, 1908, she was the daughter of Stephen and Virginia Hockett Box. She married Ira Boren on June 1, 1929. Mrs. Boren was a nurse.

Nieces and nephews survive.

Fielder-Baker Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.

Charles Montgomery

Charles Edward Montgomery, 66, of Garland died Tuesday in a Dallas hospital. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Cozine and Tarver Funeral Chapel with Rev. Roy Price officiating. Burial is in Grundy Memorial Park.

He was born February 2, 1933, in Gilmer to Noble and Annie Mae Thomas Montgomery. He married Silver Bailey in Dallas in 1955.

Mr. Montgomery was a Baptist and a retired carpenter.

Surviving are his wife of Garland; sons Willie E. Montgomery and Charles Ray Bailey, both of Garland, and Tom Bailey of Commerce; daughters Connie Bonnick of Tucson, Ariz., and Laura Price of Commerce; sister Dorothy Jones of Dallas; 12 grandchildren and eight geat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.

Pallbearers are grandsons and friends.

Robert O'Pry Jr.

Robert Lee O'Pry, 79, of Greenville died Wednesday at Zale Lipshy Hospital in Dallas. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. Saturday at Coker-Mathews Chapel with Rev. Bill Reisor officiating. Burial is in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Born in Hunt County on Oct. 23, 1919, the son of Robert Lee O'Pry and Ola Lee Shanks O'Pry, he was a retired electric assembler with Raytheon. He married Gerturde B. Brock on Jan. 26, 1946 in Greenville and served in the U. S. Army during World War II. He was a Baptist.

Surviving are his wife, Gerturde O'Pry of Greenville; a daughter, Tammy Bell of Garland; a brother W. B. O'Pry of White Rock; a sister, Ammie Carter of White Rock; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother and two sisters.

Pallbearers are Paul Murrell, Marshall Carter, Buster O'Pry, Kevin McCasland, Randy Benton, and Larry Wright.

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Peggy Plotner

LEONARD­ Funeral services forPeggy Flo Plotner, 67, of Grapevine, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Taylor Funeral Home with Rev. Elmer Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Leonard Cemetery.

She was born June 28, 1932 in Leonard; the daughter of Hubert Hamilton and Ova Deel Hamilton. She was a Baptist and a homemaker.

Surviving are a daughter, Sandra Plotner of Grapevine; son William Plotner of Colorado Springs, Colo.; her mother of Leonard and a sister, Patsy Burgin of Colleyville.

Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

James Hensley

COMMERCE ­ James Floyd Hensley, 56, of Quinlan died Tuesday at the VA Hospital in Dallas. There will be a memorial service at 7 p.m. today at the VFW No. 2559 in West Tawakoni.

The son of Art McDaniel and Elvy Mae O'Brian, he was born June 15,1943 in Yuba City, Calif. He retired from the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. Mr. Hensley was a cook at Willie's Westaurant in Quinlan.

He is survived by a daughter, Kim Hensley of Quinlan; grandson, Michael Burnell of Quinlan; four other grandchildren; brothers, LeRoy McDaniel of Phoenix, Ariz. and David Hensley of Marysville, Calif. and his father of Yuba City, Calif.

He was preceded in death by his mother and a son, James F. Hensley Jr.

Jones-Walker & Son Funeral Home of Commerce is in charge of arrangements.

Faye Mainord

Faye Mainord, 82, of Greenville died Tuesday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 3 p.m. today at Highland Terrace Baptist Church with Rev. Bill Shaddox officiating. Burial is in Shady Grove Cemetery.

Born in Emory on Aug. 18, 1917, she was the daughter of Jess Cochran and Willie McCravey Cochran. On Feb. 4, 1935 she married W.T. Mainord in Emory.

Mrs. Mainord was a homemaker. She was a member of United Methodist Church.

Surviving are sons Ronald Mainord of Grandbury, Jerry Mainord of Greenville, Carlos Mainord of New Orleans, La., Max Mainord of Andrews and Steve Mainord of Duncanville; a daughter, Kay Cunningham of Greenville; a sister, Bea Johnson of Tyler; 18 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Gerald Cochran and Jimmy Cochran.

Grandsons Bill Patterson, Matt Mainord, Mark Mainord, Marcus Mainord, Tom Mainord and John Mainord are pallbearers.

Coker-Mathews Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Nerosia Arnold

Nerosia Arnold of Greenville died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Greenville. Funeral services are at 11 a.m. Thursday at New Hope Baptist Church with Dr. Jerrion G. Smith III officiating. Burial is in New Hope Cemetery in Bullard.

The daughter of Howard and Rosa Bell Caldwell Jackson, she was born July 23, 1902 in Bullard. She married Harvey Arnold in Greenville.

Mrs. Arnold was a retired photographer and a member of New Hope Baptist Church.

She is survived by a brother, Lester Jackson of Bullard; a sister, Magnolia G. Moss of Baton Rouge, La. and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, several sisters and brothers.

Deacons of New Hope Baptist Church are pallbearers.

Visitation is from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Cozine & Tarver Funeral Home.

Alma Hays

POINT - Alma Audrey Hays, 79, of Wylie died Sunday. Funeral services are at 10 a.m. today at Point Funeral Home with Preston Stuart officiating. Burial is in Lynch Cemetery.

She was born Aug. 31, 1920 in Point to James and Oma Slyder Stuart. She was a housewife.

Surviving are her husband, A.L. Hays of Wylie; two daughters, Patricia Hays of Powell, Wyo. and Jeannette Fagg of Murphy; a brother, Archie Stuart; a sister, Juanita Lyles of Dallas; five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
