Dorthy Tressa Jane Darnell 94 of Livingston passed away January 4, 2007 in Cleveland. Funeral services were held Tuesday January 8, 2007 at 11:00AM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel-Livingston with Dr. Don Willis Officiating. Burial will follow in the Pomona Valley Memorial Park in Pomona.

Thorvald Ernest "Ernie" Drappeaux, 67, died Monday, January 21, 2008 at the Trinity Mission Nursing Home in Diboll, Texas.

He is survived by Ernest Drappeaux, Jr., son of Ft. Eustis, VA, Lauren Drappeaux, daughter of Tyler, Joshua Langley, son of Tyler, Thresea Jo Barta, daughter of Little Elm, Texas, Robin Lynn Smith, daughter of Van Alstyne, Texas, Kimberly Ann Smith, daughter of Colony, Texas, Romona Edwards, sister of Woodville, Florida, Vernell Wabasha, sister of Morton, MN, Viola Conrad, sister of Clear Lake, Texas, Velma Louise Boyles, sister of Little Elm, Texas, David Ablett, grandson of Van Alstyne, Texas, Shawn Ablett, grandson, of Van Alstyne, Texas, Ryan Smith, Grandson, of Van Alstyne, Texas, Daniel Smith, grandson of Van Alstyne, Texas, and Hailey Smith, granddaughter of Colony, Texas.

He was prededed in death by his father Joseph Drappeaux, his mother Winifred Keeler Drappeaux, 1, brother, 2, sisters, and grandson Brandon Barta.

He was born July 19, 1940 in South Dakota.

Pallbearers will be Clint Harris, Sidney Boyles, Jay Accuttoroop, Jarod Medlock, Nathan Lewis, and Wayne L. Carlton. Honorary Pallbearers will be Benjamin Dunn, Maurice McLauren, Chief Ernest Wabasha, Hereditary Chief, Leonard Wabasha.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at 2:00pm at Graveside. Interment will be in the Indian Baptist Cemetery in Livingston, Bishop Vic Larsen.

W.T. "Sonny" Brown, 72, died Sunday, January 20, 2008 at Methodist Hospital in Houston, Texas

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Louise Brown, of Goodrich, Cathy Lozano, daughter of Goodrich, Thomas & Sandra Brown, son & daughter in law, of Houston, Robin & Randy Hodges, daughter & son in law, of Crosby, Kim & Steve Fults, daughter & son in law, of Livingston, Rhonda Nunley, granddaughter, Kristel Ward, granddaughter, Amy Stewart, granddaughter, Hailey Pickett, great granddaughter, Justin Pickett, great grandson, Kalynn Pickett, great granddaughter, Raegan Nunley, great granddaughter, Kennedi Pickett, great granddaughter, Patricia Estes, sister, of New Caney, Peggy Brown, and Mable Meador, sister.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William & Mary Seawright Brown, his brother, William E. Brown and his sister Lillie Maudine Ryals.

He was born February 22, 1935 in Bloomberg, Texas

Pallbearers will be Roy Pickett II, Andrew Pickett, Daniel Pickett, Howard Brown, Ryan Hodges, and Derek Fults. Honorary Pallbearers will be Sidney Seawright, Bubba Burkhalter, James Terrill, Charles Dotson, Herbie Middleton, Randy Hodges, and Steve Fults.

Sonny was a Sheet Metal Worker for Local Union #54, and a member of Melrose Masonic Lodge #1294. He was a former Director of the Optomist Club of Livingston, Owner of Quality Sheet Metal in Houston for 35 years and former Owner of the Beacon Bay Marina.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 10:00am at the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home. Rev. Tommy Jackson & Rev. Gene Shinn will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rosewood Cemetery in Humble, Texas.

Nellie Mae Richardson

Nellie Mae Richardson, 95, died Friday, January 18, 2008 at Memorial Medical Center-Livingston, Livingston, Texas.

She is survived by Charles & Linda Richardson, son & daughter in law of Houston, Winona (Topsy) Horton, daughter, of Livingston, Dorothy & Kenneth Knebel, sister & brother in law of Livingston, Charlie & Kathy Richardson, Jr, , Grandchildren, Paulette Steen, grandchild, Robin Richardson, grandchild, James & Aracel Richardson, grandchildren, Jeremy & Erin Richardson, great grandchildren, Jennifer & Ben Baldwin, great grandchildren, Jamie Richardson, great grandchild, Heather Steen, great grandchild, Ricky Steen, great grandchild, Kaely, John, Madison, Luke & Jack, great great grandchildren. She was loved by many nieces, nephews, cousin, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Carrie Williams Rhodes, her husband James Pink Richardson, her sister Sallie Kervin, sister, Francis Cude, sister Elma Sizemore her brother Clifford Rhodes, and her son in law Franklin Horton.

She was born in Polk County Texas on December 29, 1912.

Pallbearers will be Charles Richardson, Jr., James Richardson, Jeremy Richardson, Jamie Richardson, Ricky Steen and Ben Baldwin.

Funeral services will be Monday, January 21, 2008 at 10:00am in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Billy Brackin & Rev. Mark Butcher officiating. Interment will be in the Holly Grove Cemetery in Livingston.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Green, her mother Betty Barton Green, and her husband Daniel Wayne Carter.

She was born November 21, 1965 in Morgan City, Louisiana.

Funeral services will be held Sunday January 20, 2008 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home with Rev. Sam Steele officiating. Interment will be in Restland Memorial Park Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.

Lonnie L. Lockhart
8/31/1924 - 1/13/2008

Funeral services for Lonnie Lee Lockhart, age 83, of Livingston, will be held Wednesday, January 16, 2008 at 11:00am at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. Rev. Frank Hood & Rev. Eric Garrett will be officiating. Burial will be in the Carmona Cemetery in Carmona, Texas.

He was born August 31, 1924 in Carmona, Texas the son of John & Lula McCarty Lockhart, and was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Johnnie Mae Lockhart, his son Jutt Lee Lockhart, his 1st wife Beatrice Lockhart, his sister Mary Mullican, his sister Margaret Tidwell, sister Marie Riley and sister Ira Nelson.

Lonnie was one of eighteen boys that lettered in 1942 when Corrigan won District Co-Champions in Football.

He is survived by John Perry & Patsie Lockhart, son & daughter in law of New Caney, Texas, Loni Lockhart, daughter of Stephensville, Texas, Johna Lockhart, daughter of Livingston, Texas, Robert & Jessica Lockhart, son & daughter in law of Onalska, Pearlene & Jay Hensley, daughter & son in law, of Onalska, Maudine Thompson, daughter Ann Michaels, Daughter, of Pasadena, sister Opal Kenner, of Livingston, Francis Lowe, sister of Livingston, Faye Nelson, sister of Livingston, grandson Chason Phillips, of Livingston, Loudon Lockhart, granddaughter of Livingston, Kaitlin Lockhart, granddaughter of Onalaska, and one grandchild on the way.

Military Honors provided by the VFW Post #8568.

Dennis Lee McNeese
July 29, 1953 - January 26, 2008

Graveside services for Dennis Lee McNeese, age 54, will be held Saturday, February 2, 2008 at 10:00 AM. Mr. McNeese passed away at his residence in Houston, January 26, 2007.
Mr. McNeese was a Security Guard for Allied Barton. He was born July 29, 1953 in Virginia to Carl and Charlene Delano McNeese, whom precede him in death.

His survivors are His brother Michael Crim and spouse Debra, his sister Patricia Brown.

Roger Dale Warren
March 15, 1955 - January 28, 2008 Memorial services for Roger Dale Warren, age 52, will be held at Pace Funeral Home. Roger was born March 15, 1955 to Marshall George and Inez Warren, in Houston, Texas. Mr. Warren Passed away January 28, 2008 at his residence in Livingston.

Roger was a chemical engineer and was employed with recycling.

Preceding him in death are his Father and Mother.

His survivors are his wife Luanna Warren and one son, Marshall Ryan Warren, two daughters; Audra Carol Warren and Danielle Nicole Warren, one grandchild, Benjamin Ryan Theyer Warren.

John Mitchell Saxon Sr.
John Mitchell Saxon Sr. – Father of John Saxon from the Adult Probation Department, passed away on January 22, 2008.

Visitation will be at the Cochran Funeral Home Livingston, Texas on January 24, 2008 from 5 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at Union Springs Church in Corrigan on Friday, January 25 at 2:00 pm.

Benjamin Carrol Chancellor
Funeral services for Benjamin Carrol Chancellor, age 90, was held Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at 1:00 PM in the Pace Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Barry Jeffrie officiating. Interment followed at Restland Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Chancellor was born August 9, 1917 in Eolian Texas to Allen and Alice Johnson Chancellor, who precede him in death.
Mr. Chancellor was an accomplished musician and truck driver for forty years and continued to work partime in Livingston reparing lawnmowers. He moved here from Bellaire, Texas and has been here about 30 years. He was a member of the Shoreline Baptist Church.
He is survived by his spouse, Louise Freeman Chancellor and four daughters; Juanita Carter and spouse, Mike, Kay Broadway and spouse CH, Alice Phillips and Carolyn Fleener and spouse Steve. Two sons Dewayne Chancellor and spouse Peggy and Wayne Kirton and spouse Evelyn. Two sisters Elma Crouch and Edith Hutchings, Seventeen grandchildren and forty great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Tim Broadway, Brian Broadway, Shawn Broadway, Kelly Broadway, Paul Phillips, Danny Phillips, Michael Carter, Christopher Quinn and Charles Quinn.

Reubin Hall

Funeral Services for Reubin Hall, 91, of Moscow, Texas, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in the Shiloh United Methodist Church in Moscow, Texas with Rev. Robert Twine officiating. Interment will follow in the Shiloh Cemetery in Moscow, Texas. Visitation will be held Monday, January 21, 2008 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.
Mr. Hall was born February 22, 1916 in Moscow, Texas and passed away Friday, January 18, 2008 in Livingston, Texas. He was a grave digger for Corrigan Funeral Home for many years and a member of the Shiloh United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Millie (Hardy) Hall; parents: Joe and Orsis (Robbins) Hall Jr.; and brothers: Tim Hall, Roosevelt Hall, John Hall, Leon Hall, Harry Hall, and James Hall.
He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law: Green Earl and Lois Hall of Moscow; daughter and son-in-law: Rev. Lou Ann and Nathan Cotton of Livingston; brothers: Carrie Hall of Moscow and Donnis Hall of Houston; sister: Arzula McCarter of Lufkin, 21 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Hall was born August 7, 1933 in Lufkin, Texas and passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2008 in Houston, Texas. She was a member of the New Unity Bible Fellowship Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jimmy and Mae Ella (Taylor) Abbott; husband: Timothy Hall Sr.; sisters: Charlene Louise McGee and Jimmy Lee Kegler.

She is survived by her sons: Michael Hall, Edward Hall and Vernon Hall all of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Margaret Hall & Marc E. Tatum of Missouri City, Texas; play-daughters: Yvette and Kanitha; grandchildren: Rodney Wilson, Bernard Wilson (Tameka, granddaughter-in-law) Shameka Wilson, play granddaughter: Troyesha and Marc Tatum, Jr., Michael Jr., Edward Jr., Marcus, Joseph and Tristan; great grandchildren: Lundon C. Jordan and Rodney Jr. Also, a host of nephews and great nephews, niece (Carolyn) and great niece (Keisha).

Julius P. Johnson
September 12, 1924 - August 30, 2008

Funeral Services for Julius P. Johnson, 83, of Chester, Texas will be held Sunday, September 7, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. at the J.P. Johnson Gymnasium in Chester, Texas with Rev. W.Z. Terry officiating. Interment will follow in the Lily Island Cemetery in Camden, Texas.

Mr. Johnson was born September 12, 1924 in Cameron, Texas in Milam County and passed away Saturday, August 30, 2008 in Woodville, Texas. He was a member of the Palestine Baptist Church and received his Masters Degree in education from Prairie View University. He retired from Chester ISD as principal and was also a coach in all sports with the school district. He also proudly served his country in the United States Navy during WWII. He is preceded in death by his parents: Lewis Julius and Bessie (Hoffman) Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Louise Wyatt Johnson of Chester, Texas; sons and daughter-in-law: Julius Wayne and Valerie Johnson of Lufkin, Texas; Marvin Lewis Johnson of Chester, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Gwen R. and Fredrick Jarrett of Qfallon, Illinois; 10 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild and host of other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Tommie E. Collins, Gregory Booker, Larry Jones, Robert A. Darden, Keith Broussard, Rickey Freeman, Howard Wise, Mark Hall, Wayne Hubert, and Juan Hood.
