Carolyn Nell Ponch Bullock
May 26, 1924 - May 25, 2008

Mrs. Carolyn Nell Ponch Bullock, age 83, of the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation, died peacefully Sunday, May 25th in Christus St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Beaumont, Texas. Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 28, 2008 in the Indian Presbyterian Church at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Ray Gearing officiating. Interment followed in the Alabama-Coushatta Indian Reservation Cemetery.

Mrs. Bullock was born May 26, 1924 in Indian Village, Texas to Jessie Poncho and Maggie Thompson. She later married Matthew Mathis Bullock, April 18, 1942. To this union, three sons were born, Morris Reynolds Bullock, William Newton Bullock, and one who died as an infant. Mrs. Bullock was a loving housewife, friend, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt. She was known for her outstanding cooking. Mrs. Bullock was a member of the Indian Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Bullock was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons, and sisters, Bessie Annise Bullock and Dorothy Ragsdale, brothers, Raymond Poncho and Charles Cleveland Poncho.

Survivors include daughter, Shila Battise of Livingston; granddaughter, Debbie Battise-Kleinman of Livingston; great-granddaughter, Krista Kleinman of Livingston; sister Kathleen Bullock of the reservation, numerous nieces and nephews. Close family friend Yvonne Yeager.

Pace Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Thelma Hazel Riley
January 28, 1913 - May 24, 2008

Funeral Services for Thelma Hazel Riley, 95, of Corrigan, Texas will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, May 26, 2008 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Royce Pennington and Bro. Ralph Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Holhausen-Darby Cemetery in Moscow, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Sunday, May 25, 2008 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Riley was born January 28, 1913 in Trinity County, Texas and passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 in Lufkin, Texas. She was a nurse for many years and retired from Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin, Texas. She was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband: James H. Riley; parents: Charles Jacob and Mary Ruth (Wells) St. Ores; daughter: Sharon Allison; daughter and son-in-law: Billie and Emmett Williams; and grandson: Richard Allison.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: James D. and Ethel Riley Sr. of Corrigan, Texas; 6 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 10 great-great grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: LeRoy Wright, Billy Mac Cockrell, Billy Reynolds, James Parrish, Kenneth Smelley, and Mike Farrar.

Honorary Pallbearers: B.K. Johnson, Don McKnight, and Don Cotton.

Blaine B. Lohmeier
April 27, 1921 - May 18, 2008

Memorial services for Blaine B. Lohmeier, age 87, will be held Saturday, May 31, 2008 at 2:00 pm at the Escapee's Care Center, with Rev. Ed Jennings officiating. Mr. Lohmeier passed away Sunday, May 18, 2008 at the Corrigan Nursing Home. He was born April 27, 1921 to John and Louise Wagner Lohmeier in Argafa, Illinois. He was in the Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. Preceding him in death are his father and mother. One son, Gary Lohmeier and two sisters Hazel Hiesman and Mildred Egers of Clinton, Iowa. Surviving him are his wife Louise Huth of Livingston for 17 years and Sons; Tom Lohmeier and wife M.J. of Montgomery, TX, Carl Huth and wife Willie of Mechanicsburg, PA., James Huth of Woodlands, TX.; daughters, Nina Donaho and husband Joe of Madisonville, TX; Paula Twigg and husband Richard of Goodrich, TX., Shelley Gideon and husband Tom of Danham Springs, LA., eleven grandchildren and eleven greatgrandchildren. In Leiu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Escapee Care, Inc.

William “Cody” Collis Chandler Jr.
May 23, 1975 - May 16, 2008

Funeral Services for William “Cody” Collis Chandler Jr., 32, of Wells, Texas formerly of Groveton will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 19, 2008 at the Union Springs Missionary Baptist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Tim Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel from 5-9 p.m.

Mr. Chandler was born May 23, 1975 in Woodville, Texas and passed away Friday, May 16, 2008 in Lufkin, Texas. He was employed by Dewayne Rogers working in the timber industry and was a member of the New Life United Pentecostal Church in Corrigan, Texas. He is preceded in death by his father: William “Billy” Collis Chandler Sr.; grandfather; Jim Chandler; grandmother: Audrey Goff; and cousin: Sam Cook.

He is survived by his mother: Janice Peden of Wells, Texas; brother and sister-in-law: Elderige “Bo” and Rebecca Chandler of Chester, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law: Janna Wars and fiancé, Justin VanLeuen of Carmona, Texas; Audrey and Jason Parker of Groveton Texas; daughters: Alisha Caldwell of Rusk, Texas; Catlyn, Casie, and Kallie Chandler of Wells, Texas; son: William Sam Chandler of Wells, Texas; stepson: Matthew Moore of Wells, Texas; fiancé and children: Jessie Waddell, Maggie and Daizy Waddell all of Wells, Texas; stepfather: Joe Gossett of Lufkin, Texas and numerous other relatives and friends.

Lynn Ziegler
February 6, 1951 - May 12, 2008

Lynn Ziegler 57 of Livingston passed away Monday May 12, 2008 in Houston. Memorial services will be Thursday May 15, 2008 at 2:00PM in the First United Methodist Church with Rev. James Frazier and Dr. Don Willis officiating. Visitation will be held Wednesday May 14, 2008 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.

Lynn was born February 6, 1951 in Cleveland, to parents Bill J. Barber and Bobbie Love Collins Barber. She married Rodney M. Zeigler on July 18, 1970. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from University of Main with a Bachelor of Science of Education.

She is preceded in death by her father Bill J. Barber.

Lyn is survived by her husband Rodney M. Zeigler, mother Bobbie Love Collins Barber, son and daughter in law Collin Morgan & Tiffany Zeigler and their son Zachary Scott Zeigler, daughter Hillary J. Zeigler, sister and brother in law Jan & James W. Wright and their son Lee Alan Wright and wife Robin, niece Jill Wright, brother in law and wife Ed & Syble Zeigler, and their children Dalton & Shelly, brother in law and wife Phil and Barbara Zeigler and their children Scott and Jeremy, brother and sister in law Bob & Ann Zeigler and their children Alex, Judy, Caroline, Mary and Jim, sister in law Jenny Zeigler, aunt and uncle Sally & Willis Gresham, and cousins Ruth & Steve Estes, Any & Greg Taylor, and Sarah Boardman.

Lynn will be remembered for her lifelong pattern of acts of love and thought fullness; involved with make a wish foundation and Stuart Moore Memorial Fund.

Hollis Lee Dugger
March 4, 1926 - October 22, 2008

Hollis Lee Dugger, 82, of Corrigan, Texas, passed away Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at the Beacons Hospice Home in Longview, Texas. A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan, Texas on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 2:30 p.m.

Mr. Dugger was born March 4, 1926 in Waco, Texas to Ralph and Rogene Dugger. He worked for General Mills, based in Houston, for about 35 years. Hollis lived in Houston, Texas for 23 years and in Corrigan, Texas for 32 years where he enjoyed the country life of hunting, fishing and sitting quietly watching the birds outside his window. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother and sister-in-law, Jerry and Kay Dugger.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Christine Dugger of Corrigan, Texas; son and daughter-in-law: Richard and Evelyn Dugger; daughter and son-in-law: Linda and Bill Langlois; brother and sister-in-law: Ralph "Buddy" and Joan Dugger; sisters and brother-in-law: Rogene Dugger: Joy and Calvin Cull; grandchildren: Jeremy Langlois, Marlana Dugger, Julie Dugger, Brittany Langlois and Danielle Langlois and several nieces and nephews. He will be missed greatly by family and friends.

Corrigan, Texas with Pastor Robert Lankford officiating. Interment will follow in
the New Church Cemetery in Apple Springs, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday,
October 1, 2008 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel from 5 -8 p.m.

Mr. Nash was born August 31, 1930 in Fastrill, Texas in Cherokee County and passed
away Saturday, September 27, 2008 at his residence in Corrigan, Texas. He was a
welder for Lufkin Industries and a veteran of the United States Army serving from
1948 to 1965 with tours in Korea and Vietnam. He was also a member of Wakefield
Baptist Church. He is preceded in death by his wife: Jeanette (Ramsey) Nash and
parents: Reaves and Lottie (Tullos) Nash; sisters: Bernice Wheeler Patterson, Bertie
May Stanland, Linda (Jackie) Stout; brothers: Arland and L.E. (Buddy) Nash.

He is survived by his sons and daughter-in-law: Johnny and Emma Turnage of Nevis,
Minnesota, and Donny Rutledge of St. Louis, Missouri; daughters and son-in-law:
Terri and Willard Roderick of Magnolia, Texas, Cindy Tschudi of Nevis, Minnesota,
and Tammy Rutledge of St. Louis, Missouri; brother: Reace Nash of Corrigan, Texas, 4
grandchildren and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.

Mr. Gesford was born December 6, 1942 in Camden, Texas and passed away Tuesday, January 13, 2009 in his home in Corrigan, Texas. He was a Baptist by faith and a truck driver for Hughes Petroleum. He was preceded in death by his wife: Saundra Prewitt Gesford; parents: Tommie Franklin and Syble Odessie (Norton) Gesford; son: James Wade Gesford; daughter: Gina Doris; granddaughter: Amy Gesford; and sister: Ima Jean Blair.
