Gayle Erdmann Weatherly
April 10, 1945 - May 28, 2009

Gayle Erdmann Weatherly, age 64, was born in Golden Valley, North Dakota, April 10, 1945 and went to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 28, 2009.

Mrs. Weatherly loved to fish and go camping, she was the owner of West Loop Motors for twenty years.

She is survived by her husband of 42 years, David Glenn Weatherly, daughters; Georgette Renee Weatherly and Carmen Faye Weatherly, brothers; Floyd Erdmann and wife Ann, Carlton Erdmann and wife Anna Mae; sisters, Joyce Abby and
husband Jim, Evon Bennder Erdmann; grandchildren, Chelsey Weatherly and Troy Ray Glenn Hester.

She is preceded in death by parents, George and Eleanor Kruger Erdmann.

Funeral services will be held at Pace Funeral Home, Monday, June 1, 2009, 2:00 PM. Burial will follow in the Boldsprings cemetery .Visitation was held at Pace Funeral Home, Sunday, May 31, 2009 from 1:00 to 8:00 PM.

Larry Lionell Crowhurst
October 12, 1941 – May 25, 2009

Larry Lionell Crowhurst, age 67, passed away Monday, May 25, 2009 at Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock, Arkansas. He was born October 12, 1941 in Waller, Texas. Mr. Crowhurst loved sports, liked to bowl, cook and BBQ and enjoyed his vegetable garden. He was salesman and worked in retail. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Crowhurst; daughter Sherrie Wall and husband Kenneth, brothers Dwayne Crowhurst, wife Gloria, Mabank, Tx., Jerry Crowhurst and wife Kathy, Leggett, TX; sister Debbie Owens and husband John, Cleveland, TX; Grandchildren, Chris, Justin and Stephanie Wall. Preceding him in death are his parents, Earnest J. Crowhurst and Thelma Bragg Crowhurst.

Pallbearers will be Chris Wall, Mike Cummings, Mike Crowhurst, James Crowhurst, Steve Jackson, and Kenneth Luedicke. Honorary Pallbearer will be Justin Wall. Funeral services will be Saturday, May 30, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at Pace Funeral Home Chapel, with Brother Bill Gibbs officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, May 29, 2009 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Interment followed at Crowhurst family cemetery . Military honors will be provided by the Veterans of Foreign War, Post 8568 of Livingston.

Corrine Elizabeth Franklin
February 12, 1929 - May 20, 2009

Corrine Elizabeth Franklin, 80, was born on February 12, 1929 in Georgia and passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2009 in Houston, Texas.

She is survived by her son, Marvin Franklin; daughter, Cathy and husband Kenneth and sister, Sarah Green; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by sons, Tommy Franklin and David Wayne Franklin; daughter, Louann Franklin, one brother and three sisters.

Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM Friday, May 22, 2009 at French cemetery in Kenefick, Texas with Brother Frank Hood officiating and visitation was 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM.

Pallbearers were James White, Frank Acree, Jason McKenzie, Marvin Franklin, Kenneth White and Jesse White.

Pace Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Susie Ogden
December 12, 1932 - May 7, 2009

Funeral services for Susie Ogden were held Saturday, May 9th at the Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Susie Tinney Woodard was born 12/12/32 in Wood County, Texas to Virgil and Lona Woodard. She married Curtis Ogden on August 7, 1953 and were married 42 years at the time of his death in 1995, She was predeceased by her parents, her husband, one sister Ruth Dacus and five brothers, Hollis Woodard, Frank Woodard, Virgil Woodard, Joe Woodard and Billy Woodard.

She is survived by her daughters, Donna LeClaire and husband Dave of McKinney, Texas, Debbie Mayes and husband. Keith of Livingston, Texas, Lona Ferguson and husband, Scott also of Livingston, Texas. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, Tommy Phillips and wife, Van of Tomball, Texas. Chris Phillips and wife. Amber of Livingston, Texas, Willie Mayes and his wife, Betsy of Opelousas, Louisiana, Katie Mayes and her fiance, Andrew Scott of Houston, Texas, Nicole Ferguson and Samantha Ferguson of Livingston, Texas. Her great-granchildren are Curtis, Matthew, and Lucas Phillips. Her great-granddaughter is Maggie Mayes and her step-great-granddaughter's are Morgan and Carly Stubbs. She is also survived by her brother H. L. Woodard and wife, Claudine of Winnsboro, Texas, sisters Janie Browning of Winnsboro, Texas, Grace Home of Irving, Texas, Bonnie Blalock of Quitman, Texas, Wanda Pinson and husband Paul of Winnsboro, Texas, and Betty Sims of Quitman, Texas. The family would like to make mention of her surviving loyal and loving Ogden family, and faithful friends, Herman Andress, Carolyn Smith and Nelda Mangham. A special mention of recognition to Ashley Martin and Keith Foxworth and their children, Taylor and Jordan Foxworth.

Susie was a faithful wife to her husband Curtis, a wonderful mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She spent many hours baby-sitting all the children, cooking delicious meals for her family on Sunday after church. She also loved traveling with her five sisters.

Robert Harold Koenig
November 5, 1936 - March 21, 2010

Robert Harold Koenig passed away Sunday morning, March 21, 2010, at the age of 73. Bob was born at home in Elgin, Texas to Lillie Mae and John Delbert Koenig on November 5, 1936. He was preceded hi death by his Mother, Lillie Mae Gunn Koenig. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ruth Sedwick Koenig, and three children, Shirley LaNell Koenig-Wilson, Russell Wayne Koenig, and Lara Ann Koenig-Laird. Bob and Shirley were married for 53 years.

He is also survived by his father: John Delbert Koenig, sisters: Doris Green and Barbara Thomas, fourteen grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren.

Bob had many interest and loves in his life from woodworking, supporting mission trips, and being with his family. He was a member of the National Guard and was honorably discharged after fourteen years of service. He also worked as a journeyman electrician and supervisor on the Houston Ship Channel. They moved to Livingston in 1975 and made it their home.
Bob was a member of the Livingston Church of Christ; he loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was ready to go home.
A Celebration of Bob’s Life will begin at 2pm Friday, March 26, 2010 at Pace Funeral Home, 200 Fm 350 N., Livingston, Texas. with Pastor Lindell Mitchell officiating.

Nancy Cosine Martone

Nancy Cosine Martone was born in Paterson New Jersey 65 years ago. She was always active with church and performed many civic and volunteer duties in Preschool, youth organizations, public libraries and various Parkinson's disease support groups. Nancy lived courageously with Parkinson's disease for nearly forty years. She never relented to the disease and participated in several pioneering surgical procedures of the brain in an attempt to slow down and possibly cure the debilitating effects of the disease. She served as a Parkinson's disease advocate and ventured to Washington numerous times to stress to congress the need to fund Parkinson's research through the National Institutes of Health. She spoke to Rotary, Church Groups and at numerous Parkinson's support group meetings. She led an active and meaningful life as long as her condition would permit. In the end she succumbed to the disease that she fought most of her life. In 2000 she was the recipient of the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research Advocate Award.In the last years of her life Nancy chose to keep going because of her profound love for her family and the opportunities to spend time with her grandchildren.

She is survived bv her husband, of 44 vears. Robert Martone; two children, Laura Munroe of Pueblo West Colorado and husband the Reverend W. Bradley Munroe and Michael Martone of Cvpress Texas and wife Leslie; four grandchildren Christine Munroe, Matthew Munroe, Nathan Martone and Jacob Martone; sister, Ruth Cosine Barks and husband Ron of Situate Rhode Island; niece, Jennine Cantv and nephew James Barks.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 7 PM, Thursday, March 25, 2010, at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, TX. The family will receive friends from 2-4:30 PM and 6:30-9 PM, Wednesday, March 24. A Memorial service will be held at the Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd in Kingwood, TX, at 3 PM, Thursday, March 24, 2010. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Houston Area Parkinson’s society, 2700 SW Frwy #296, Houston, TX 77098.

James Franklin Benton, Jr. (Jim)
April 23, 1932 - March 20, 2010

James Franklin Benton, Jr. (Jim) passed away on March 20, 2010 at Lufkin Memorial Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1932 in Eastgate, Texas to Prudie and James Franklin Benton, Sr. Jim worked for the Texas Highway Department, Galveston Co. as the Assistant County Engineer and then was promoted to County Engineer. Then he worked in Houston as a bridge and road contractor before getting his surveying license in 1972. After that he was the County Surveyor for Brewster County. He worked as the Liberty County Inspector and retired from Liberty County as an inspector (septic permits). Then he relocated to Polk County working as the Road and Bridge Engineer. He started his own surveying business, and retired in 2005, from Steve Humbird Technical Services.

Jim was a loving Husband, Father and Grandfather. He was known by many as a man who cared and was devoted to God.
Jim is preceded in death by his parents, Prudie and James; brother, Clifford Benton; sisters, Mozelle Scarborough and Ida Armstrong; and son James Benton III.

Jim is survived by his loving wife Barbara Benton; sisters, Bernice Wheeler of Kingwood, Thelma Robledo and husband Marty of Pearland, TX, Evelyn Early of Huntsville, AR and Jean Aiken and husband Bobby of Baytown; brother, Elwood Benton and wife Bessie of Livingston, TX. He is also survived by daughters, Genebra Smith and husband Chuck of Midland, TX, Della Humbird and husband Steve of Livingston, TX and step-daughter Peggy Hill and husband Kirby of Carthage, TX; grandchildren, Matthew Smith and wife Caralou and their two children of Katy, TX, Robert Humbird and wife Lori and their two children of Livingston, TX, Hannah Jennings and husband Brian and their two children of Midland, TX, Winston Humbird of Livingston, TX, Rachel Ramsey and husband Denton and their two children of Waco, TX, Spec. Virginia Humbird of Livingston, TX, Jason Hill of Carthage, TX, Kathleen Hill of Carthage, TX and Grace Humbird of Livingston, TX and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will include Matthew Smith, Robert Humbird, Winston Humbird, Charles Warner, Jimmy Walker and Jason Hill. Honorary pallbearers are Denton Ramsey, Chuck Smith, Steve Humbird, Kirby Hill, Brian Jennings, and Randy Currie.

Visitation will be Monday, March 22 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The funeral services will be held Tuesday, March 23 at 1:00 p.m. at the Pace Funeral Home in Livingston; graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. at the Magnolia cemetery in Dayton. Pastor Frank Hood will be presiding over both services.

Lois Ann Peters

Lois Ann Peters was born in Houston, TX and passed away Sunday, March 14, 2010, at the age of 33. Lois is survived by her fiancé, Chris Elizondo; son, Matthew Mendoza; daughters, Destynie Peters, Misty Mendoza; mother, Mary Gamble; brother, Allen Gamble; sister, Jennifer Hoffer and husband Michael. She is preceded in death by her son, Sammy Mendoza; grandmother, Lois Hogan and grandfather, Sam Henry Jones. A Celebration of Life will be 2:00 PM, Friday, March 19, 2010 at Pace Funeral Home with Bro. Frank Hood officiating.

Marie Loerch
April 3, 1926 - March 9, 2010

Marie Loerch, went to be with the Lord, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 at her residence in Onalaska, Texas. Mrs. Loerch was born April, 3, 1926 in Nacogdoches, Texas. Marie loved casinos and made homemade tomales in Big Sandy. She loved her little dog Libby.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Wallace Wendall Loerch, sons; Thomas Randal Loerch and wife Cheryl, Philip A. Loerch and spouse Cherry, brother Aubrey Myers, sister Gloria Lauter, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. preceded in death by her parents Media Jordan and I.C. Myers and brother Raymond Myers.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.

John H. "Jack" Venning
May 29, 1918 - May 5, 2010

John H. “Jack” Venning was born May 29, 1918 and passed away Friday, May 5, 2010. Jack married the love of his life Mary Vercoe in 1946 and had three children who survived him and attended his death at his home in Livingston, Texas. His two sisters and five of their children and his six grandchildren also survive him. Since 1956 he has been an active minister of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Chicago, Illinois area. He has lived in Livingston, Texas with his oldest son for the past seven years. A memorial service has been scheduled at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 160 Pinckard Rd., Livingston, Texas. The service will be held at 5:00 PM, Sunday, March 7, 2010.

Betty Jean Prince
March 30, 1931 - February 27, 2010

Betty Jean Prince, 78, went to be with the Lord Saturday, February 27, 2010 in Livingston, Texas. She was born March 20, 1931 in Livingston, Texas to Lloyd and Dolly Simpson. Her survivors include her husband of 58 years, L.G. Prince; Brother, L.D. Simpson, Jr and wife Virginia; sister Etheldred “Sissy” Smith, husband Carlie Smith; special nephew, Howard Jake Smith and wife Brenda, niece Deborah Wright and husband John, special friends, Charles and Bonnie Fuller, Tommy Gene and Mildred Clifton; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and son; Lamar Prince. Pallbearers will be Tommy Gene Clifton, Charlie Fuller, Charles Ray Fuller, Joe Jackson, Larry Horn, Bo Richardson. A visitation was held Tuesday, March 2, 2010 from 10-8 PM at Pace Funeral Home, a celebration of Betty’s life will begin at 11:00 AM, March 3, 2010, at Pace Funeral Home, with Pastor Lesley Wilkerson officiating, interment to follow at Mt. Rose cemetery .

Odessa Lamb
February 14, 1927 - February 26, 2010

Odessa Lamb passed from this life on February 26, 2010 from complications of leukemia. Graveside services were held 1PM Sunday February 28, 2010 in the Camp Ruby cemetery with Pastor Mitchell Murphy officiating. Odessa Pippins Lamb was born February 14, 1927 in Winnsboro, Louisiana. She married R. H. Lamb on June 7, 1944 and moved to Texas. They built their life at Camp Ruby. R. H. preceded her in death on October 24, 1982. She was also preceded in death by John Farmer, her companion & dance partner of 14 years. Odessa was an active member of the Livingston VFW Post 8568 Ladies' Auxiliary for many years before moving to Palestine in 2004. Survivors include two daughters & sons-in-law: Gloria & Royce Warren of Palestine, Sue & Bob Sprott of Bryan. Survivors also include grandchildren & spouses: Jeff & Laura Dillon of Bryan, Regena & Troy Bains of Palestine, Justin & Kacy Warren of Katy. Three great-grandchildren: Carter & Caroline Dillon of Bryan and Brady Bains of Palestine. The family request any memorials be made to the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post 8568 (P.O. Clayton Bruce Gaskill
July 19, 1954 - February 23, 2010

CLAYTON BRUCE GASKILL passed away Tuesday February 23, 2010 from acute myeloid leukemia.He was born July 19th, 1954 to Jewel E. (Schulz) (dec.) and Lorenzo M. Gaskill, Jr. in Houston, Texas. He is survived by parents Billie Ruth (Ballard) and Lorenzo M. Gaskill, Jr., daughter Stefanie, Stefanie's mother Maritza Mayer, brother Lorenzo E. (Lee) and sister-in-law Melinda Gaskill. He attended Garden Villas Elementary, Albert Thomas Middle and graduated from Ross Sterling High School of Houston in 1972. Clayton earned a BA from the University of Houston in 1981.Clayton career in the film industry as camera assistant included commercial films, training films, commercials, and on the sidelines for Houston Texans home games for NFL Films. His love of photography continued from work to pleasure - where a camera was seldom far away.Clayton had a life long interest in Marksmanship, starting with Saturday morning trips to a shooting range, continuing with many trips to the woods to practice or just enjoy the quiet of the forest. Clayton enjoyed the history and artistry of firearms, being a 25 plus year member of the National Rifle Association and the Houston Gun Collectors Association.Clayton was very involved with his daughter's life. He enjoyed watching his daughter play soccer over several years and several conferences. He and Stefanie raised turtles, rescued them from car injuries and had 30 or more of all ages at any one time.Clayton's proudest moment was seeing his daughter Stefanie graduate from United States Military Academy at West Point and be commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant in the US Army. He enjoyed West Point, visiting as often as possible. October 8, 1916 - February 17, 2010

Neva Luycelle Moler, age 93, was born October 8, 1916 in Livingston, TX and passed away on Wednesday, February 17, 2010. Mrs. Moler was the daughter of Alfred Monroe and Mary Elizabeth Gay Williams. She married the love of her life, Jimmie T. Moler on March 8, 1941 Neva was a past matron and former member of Cedar Bayou Chapter No. 11 Order of the Eastern Star. She was a good mother, grandmother, a devoted wife, doing all in her power to make her life time one of enjoyment and happiness to all those about her. Neva is survived by her son Larry T. Moler and wife Judy of The Woodlands, TX; grandchildren, Christopher T. Moler and wife Sulekha of Austin, TX and Lauren E. Moler of Austin, TX. She is preceded in death by her husband and parents and four brothers, Robertus Williams, Leslie Williams, Robert Lee Williams and Paton Otis Williams, and two infant daughters. Honorary pallbearers were members of the Order of Eastern Star. The Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 20, 2010 in the Holly Grove cemetery with Bro. Billy Bracken officiating. The family requests that memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society or the Order of Eastern Star Benevolence Fund.
