Funeral services for Surrie Michelle Boose, age 46, of Trinity, Texas will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 7, 2011 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Visitation is from 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM, Thursday, October 6, 2011 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston.

She was born May 16, 1965 in Pontiac, Michigan to Gary Cooper and Margaret Lafner and passed away on October 3, 2011 in Trinity, Texas. Preceded in death by granddaughter, Lacy Michelle Smith.

Surrie is survived by Scott Boose, husband, of Trinity, Texas, Kristy Smith and husband Steven Mace, daughter and son-in-law, of Livingston, Texas, Amanda Montoy-Carmona and David Fields, daughter, of Waterford, Michigan, Vanessa Smith and Jimmy Patterson, daughter, of Onalaska, Texas, Jermiah Smith and wife Amanda Smith, son and daughter-in-law, Aaron Larue, brother, of California, Gary Cooper, brother, of Georgia, Karrie Cooper, sister, of Clarkton, Michigan, Kelly Cooper, sister, of Indiana, Kristie Cooper, sister, of Ft. Worth, Texas, John Thompson, brother, James Cooper, brother, 2 grandchildren, Jordan Mace, and Isabella. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services for Opal Faye King, age 71, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM., Monday, November 28, 2011, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Tim Thompson and Darrell Duff will officiated the services. Interment will be at Jones Prairie Cemetery in Leggett, Texas. Pallbearers will be Brian Duff, Ricky Hooper, Lavon Brown, Beaver Brown, Randy Quinn, Ryan Tolar. Honorary pallbearers will be Heather Allem, Rebekah Allem, Sarah Allem and Brittany Quinn.

Visitation will be held at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel on Sunday, November 27, 2011, beginning at 5:00 PM.

Mrs. King was born on June 8, 1940, in Leggett, Texas, to parents, Buster Lavon and Opal Jewel Murphy Brown. She passed away on November 25, 2011, Humble, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Steve Allem of Humble, Texas, son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Theresa Hance of Livingston, Texas, four granddaughters, Heather Allem, Rebekah Allem, Sarah Allem of Humble, Texas, Brittany Quinn of Livingston, Texas, three grandsons, Dwayne Tolar, Roman Tolar, Ryan Tolar of Livingston, Texas, great grandson, Hunter Shine of Humble, Texas, three brothers, James Brown of Georgewest, Texas, Bobby Brown of Livingston, Texas, Tommy Brown of Liberty, Texas.

Jeanette Dunn

Funeral services for Jeanette Dunn, age 72, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 1:00 PM., Monday, November 28, 2011, at Graveside - Rosewood Memorial Park in Humble, Texas. Rev. Harold Isaacs will officiate the service. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM.

Mrs. Dunn was born on July 16, 1939, to parents, John and Gay Lee Hill in Lubbock, Texas. She passed away on November 24, 2011, in Livingston. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, Dwayne Hill.

Mrs. Parmer is survived by her husband, John L. “Sonny” Dunn of Livingston, two sons and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Dunn of Austin, Texas, and Billy and Sonya Dunn of Tyler, Texas, three sisters, Betty Coleman of Greenville, Texas, Rosa Lee Walker of Lubbock, Texas, and Cindy Baty of Early, Texas, three granddaughters, Lisa Bonin of Livingston, Mindi Cato of Edgewood and Haley Dunn of Tyler, three great grandsons, Joseph Dunn of Lafayette, Louisiana, Logan Bonin of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Josh Bonin of Shreveport, Louisiana.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any Hospice Facility.

Opal Faye King, age 71, of Livingston, Texas, passed away on November 25, 2011, in Humble, Texas. Mrs. King was born in Lovelady, Texas, to parents Buster Lavon and Opal Murphy Brown on June 8, 1940. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM on Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas, and Services will be held on Monday, November 28, 2011, at 2:00 PM. at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston. A full obituary will be printed in publication on December 1, 2011.

Larry Leon Fleetwood, Sr

Larry Leon Fleetwood, Sr., age 69, was born May 8, 1942 in Maybury, Texas to Acey and Mrytle Newingham Fleetwood. He entered into heavenly rest on November 21, 2011 in Livingston, Texas. He is survived by sons, Timothy Fleetwood, Sr. and Larry Fleetwood, Jr.; daughters, Janice Fleetwood, Sherie Fleetwood and Tina Sanders; brothers, Danny Fleetwood, Ronnie Fleetwood and Mike Fleetwood; and sisters, Frita Chance, Helen Rawls and Wanda Gott. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren along with a host of other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Bernice. He was a minister of the gospel for 35 years. He enjoyed oil painting, fishing and hunting, his grandchildren and playing the guitar and singing. A gathering of family and friends was held on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 from 5:00-7:00 pm at Pace Funeral Home. A graveside celebration of life will be Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, Segno, Texas.

Funeral Services for Reba Charlene Parker, age 91, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, November 26, 2011 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with Rev. Tom Owens officiating. Interment following in the Peebles Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, November 25, 2011 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston. She was born on February 1, 1920, in Groveton, Texas, to Medford Harvy Redd and Doxie Stubblefield Redd. Mrs. Parker passed away on November 23, 2011 in Baytown, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Medford and Doxie Redd, her husband, John Samuel Parker, who was the love of her life, daughter, Sammie Charlene Hardy, two sisters, Verna M. Davis and Edna Davis. Mrs. Parker is survived by son, Johnny Glen Parker of Baytown, Texas, brother, Raymond G. Redd of Pasadena, Texas, three grandchildren, Jared Stephan Parker, David Thomas Hardy and John Mark Hardy.

Sylvia Ruth Smiley

Funeral services for Sylvia Ruth Smiley, 70, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 in the First United Methodist Church in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. John Tyler officiating. Interment will follow in the Union Springs Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm, Thursday, November 24, 2011 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Smiley was born June 6, 1941 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana and passed away Tuesday, November 22, 2011 in Lufkin, Texas. She graduated in 1959 from the St. Agnes Academy in Houston, Texas and later graduated from college in 1973 from Stephen F. Austin State University with honors. On July 15, 1960 in the Harris County Courthouse, she marriage the love of her life Robert “Bobby” Smiley and they celebrated 51 years of marriage this year. She was a devoted teacher for Corrigan Camden ISD and former Chairman of the Corrigan Camden PTA. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. Her family was her world and she adored them in every way. She is preceded in death by her parents, Wilfred James Keller and Bertha Ruth Fleming Keller.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years: Robert R. “Bobby” Smiley of Corrigan, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law: Beth and Jeff McBride of Pineland, Texas, Kathy and Russell Harvey of Corrigan, Texas, Christi and Todd Sullivan of Corrigan, Texas; grandchildren: Robert “Scooter” McBride, Corey Christine Harvey, Andrew James Harvey, Michael Todd Sullivan; brothers and sisters-in-law: Larry and Wanda Keller of Rockport, Texas, Rod and Kelly Keller of Santa Barbara, California; sister-in-law and husband: Billie and Eugene Cockrell of Corrigan, Texas; brother-in-law and wife: Donald and Magge Smiley of Kingwood, Texas; special friends: Wayne and Claudia Giese of Brenham, Texas; two special sisters: Rose Harris of Corrigan, Texas and Rosa Flores of Corrigan, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Orval Barger officiated the service. Interment was at Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska. Pallbearers were Michael Arden, Tim Arden, Bill Arden, Tom Durant, Richard Parmer, Billy Arden, Chris Arden, Jordan Arden, Anthony Arden, Jeremy Arden, Cole Arden, Ryan Durant and Troy Durant.

She was born on September 14, 1940, in Yuma, AZ, to parents, Raymond Charles Dent and Alvis Bonnie Darnell Dent. She passed away on November 19 2011, in Houston. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Mrs. Parmer is survived by her husband, John Parmer of Point Blank, Texas, brother, Charles Dent of Reno, NV, sister, Donna Smith of Portland, OR, three sons, Michael Arden of Frisco, Texas, Tim Arden and wife, Danielle of Keller, Texas, and Bill Arden of Houston, Texas, one daughter, Laura Durant and husband, Tom of Houston, Texas, step-son, Richard Parmer and wife, Jenny of Livingston, Texas, grandchildren, Billy Arden, Chris Arden, Jordan Arden, Anthony Arden, Steven Arden, Jeremy Arden, Shannon Arden, Cole Arden, Chase Arden, Ryan Durant, Troy Durant, and Jessica Parmer, nieces and nephews, Kimberly Smith of Portland, OR, Katherine Dent of Denver, CO, Phillip Dent of Denver, CO, and John Dent of Denver, CO. Numerous Other Relatives and Friends also survive.

Frances Lee Winfrey was born on October 11, 1917, in Sour Lake, Texas, to parents, Joseph Wesley and Margaret Ruth Barnes Hall and passed away on November 20. 2011, in Livingston, Texas.

Lois Pearl Stockton

Funeral Services for Lois Pearl Stockton, age 89, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 21, 2011 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, with Rev. She was born on December 12, 1921 in Hattiesburg, Pennsylvania to Clarence Fisher and Lois Wolf Fisher and passed away on November 18, 2011 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her Parents, Clarence Fisher and Lois Wolf Fisher, and her Husband, Robert Hampton Stockton.

Lois is survived by Daughters, Lois Hickman of Pasadena, Texas, Sue Ellen Morris of Houston, Texas and Louise Davis of Livingston, Texas and Sons, Roman Stockton and Wife, Norma Stockton of Katy, Texas and Ronnie Stockton of Austin, Texas. Lois is survived by 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.

Mrs. Etta Mae Bailey Criswell

Funeral Services for Mrs. Etta Mae Bailey Criswell, age 98, of Livingston, Texas will be held at 11:00 A.M., Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Providence # 1 Baptist Church in Leggett, Texas, with Rev. Ronnie Coleman officiating. Interment following in the New Wensley Cemetery in Leggett, Texas. Visitation will be 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at Providence # 1 Baptist Church. Pallbearers are lesile Bailey, Andrew Taylor, Curly Bailey, Henderson Bailey Jr., Velton Price Jr., Vallas Starghill Jr., & Donnis Crisewll Jr.

She was born February 3, 1913 in Leggett, Texas to Robert and Addie Bailey and passed away Saturday, November 19, 2011 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by parents, husband, Walsh Criswell Jr.; three sons, (Lenard, Louis, & Clifton), and a great granddaughter Sonya D. Criswell. Etta is survived by four sons: Leroy Criswell, and adopted son Milton Criswell of Livingston; Curtis (Theodell) Criswell, and Raymond (Angie) Criswell of Houston, Texas; daughter-law, Ms. Annie Mae Criswell; sister in law, Mr. Freddy Flourney of Houston, Texas; and a host of grand, great grand, great great grand children, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Etta Mae attended public School in Leggett, Texas. She marriage Walsh Criswell Jr. July 6, 1932, and gained a son, Clifton Criswell.

Ms. Etta Mae was a faithful member of Providence # 1 Baptist Church until her health failed her. She held many ministers positions while her health permitted. She was mission president in choir ministry, secretary of New Wensley Cemetery, and supporter to her pastor and all other ministries.

Robert John Blackstock

Graveside Services for Robert John Blackstock, age 71, of Livingston will be held at 1:00 P.M., Friday, November 18, 2011 at the Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston with Bro. Harold Isaacs officiating.

He was born on August 14, 1940 in New York, New York to John Blackstock and Mozelle Burns Blackstock and passed away on November 14, 2011 in Houston, Texas.

At the age of 14 Robert began working in the family business and became the owner/manager of Blackstock Auto Salvage in his adult years. Following the sale of this business Robert enjoyed working with Arts and Crafts as part of his wife's business, Pasttimes. He enjoyed traveling becoming a Workkamper along with his wife. Working in the summer months they held positions in many campgrounds across the Country: Graham Creek on Vallecito Lake in Durango, Colorado. Cloquet / Duluth KOA in Minnesota, Crazy Horse Campground in Custer, South Dakota, in the Dixie National Forest near St. George, Utah they Managed the Pine Valley Campgrounds for 2 seasons, the Tremont Resort in Townsend, Tennessee, and Twin Knobs Campgrounds for two years in Eastern Kentucky near Morehead.

Robert survived cancer after his first diagnosis in 1993 and then remained Cancer free for 18 years.
He is preceded in death by his Parents, John Blackstock and Mozelle Burns Blackstock, Brothers, Richard Blackstock and Michael Blackstock.

Robert is survived by his Wife of 50 Years as of October 9, 2011, Judy Bailey Blackstock of Livingston, Daughters, Julye Taylor and Vickie Wall, both of Livingston, Foster Son, Harold Johnson of Livingston, Granddaughter, Magen and Husband, Coy Carpenter of Nederland, Granddaughter, Mayce Taylor of Huntsville, Great Granddaughter, Madysen Carpenter of Nederland. Numerous Other Relatives and Friends also survive.

Joseph Landry Vowels was born September 11, 1954, in Houston, Texas, and departed from this life on Sunday, November 13, 2011 in Houston, Texas. He retired from the Houston Police Department after 23 years of service. He was a member of Peach Creek Baptist Church in New Caney, Texas. He had a passion for hunting, fishing and music. He is preceded in death by his parents: Jewel Lois and Ennis Marie (Kirkpatrick) Vowels.

Mr. Vowels is survived by his wife: Jeannie Vowels of New Caney, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Jennifer and Mark Birdwell of Conroe, Texas; son: Joseph Vowels of New Caney, Texas; grandson: Garrett Birdwell; granddaughter: Reece Vowels; brothers and sisters-in-law: Cary and Wanda Vowels, David and Theresa Vowels, Jeff Vowels, James and Dawn Vowels, Jack Vowels; sister and brother-in-law: Glenda and Ron Ridlen; and numerous nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
