Funeral services for Nadine (Lewis) Stutts, 83, of Corrigan, Texas, will be held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2012 in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Mark Martin officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Bluff Creek cemetery in Soda, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 1, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Corrigan Funeral Home Chapel.

Mrs. Stutts was born October 15, 1928 in Evergreen, Texas and passed away Friday, June 29, 2012 in Lufkin, Texas. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and great friend to many. She is preceded in death by her Loving Husband: Keith Stutts; parents: Henry Louis and Avie Agness Lewis; brothers: Milam, Clemon, and Henry Leslie Lewis; sisters: Opal Placker, Mae Ella Lewis, Adell Kelley, Aveline Stephens, and Claudie Dillon; grandson: Rodney Lynn Whitworth.

She is survived by her son and daughter in-law: Jerry Keith and Susan Stutts of Corrigan, Texas; daughter and son-in-law: Linda Sue and Joe Lynn Whitworth of Chester, Texas; grandchildren: Jud Whitworth and wife Wendy, Wendy Bendy and husband Bo, Dusty Stutts, Tyler Stutts and fiancée Lindsey; great grandchildren: Lacy Whitworth Brock and husband Chad, Paige Whitworth, Blake Whitworth, Keaton Whitworth, Cader Powell, Mylee Powell, Levi Bendy, Jolee Sue Bendy, Rylan Stutts; great great grandchildren: Sydney Brock, Chandler Brock, BentLynn Brock; nieces and nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Patsy Dell Parker

Funeral Services for Patsy Dell Parker, age 75 of Livingston, will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, July 2, 2012, at the Center Grove Community Church, with Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating the services. Interment icon will follow in the Center Grove cemetery. Pallbearers are Kevin Woodman, Keith Woodman, Michael Cain, Mickey Dean Howell, Scott Brown, and Ben Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers are Tyler Washington and Joel Colston.

Patsy was born on August 5, 1936, in Livingston, to parents, Joe S. Hamler and Ruby (Matlock) Hamler and passed away on June 28, 2012, in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Joe S. Hamler and Ruby (Matlock) Hamler; daughter, Ruby Peterson; grandchild, Kelly Turner; brother, Granvill Muller; sister, Barbara Helmer.

She is survived by her husband, “Parker“ Charles L. Parker of Livingston; daughter, Debra Charlene Crocker (Charlene Parker) of Livingston; sister, Beverly Woodman of Conroe; brother, J. A. Hamler of Monticella, Mississippi; grandchildren, Shelly Ivey, Lacey Crocker, Dewayne Harrison, Chris and Peggy, Misty and Skyler Ball; fourteen great grandchildren; nine great great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, also survive.

Graveside Services for Sylvia Anita David, 94, of the Barnes Community, Texas are being held Friday, June 29, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. in the Union Springs cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Bro. Larry Trest will be officiating.

Mrs. David was born April 25, 1918 in Corrigan, Texas and passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in Lufkin, Texas. She retired from her employment as a Dorm Mother at Stephen F. Austin State University and was a Methodist by faith. She loved to read and enjoyed her time spent at the Mickey Riley Public Library. She is preceded in death by her parents: Homer Pullen and Zelma (Adams) Pullen, husband: Harry David; brother: Jules “Buddy” Pullen; sister: Rachel Pullen.

Mrs. David is survived by her son, Jud David of the Barnes Community, Texas, son, Daniel David and wife Carolyn of Hudson Oaks, Texas, son, Doug David and wife Cathy of the Barnes Community, Texas, grandchildren: Chris, Elizabeth, Nicole, and Caroline; great grandchildren: Carter, Luke, Ben, Charlotte, and Jackson.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Mickey Riley Public Library, 604 South Matthews, Corrigan, Texas 75939.

Rita Marie Young

Rita Marie Young, age 86 of Largo, Florida departed on June 21, 2012, in Livingston, Texas. Rita was born on July 18-1925, in Chicago, Illinois to parents, Steven Seper & Magbalence (Eberhardt) Seper. June 1957 Rita married Norman G. Young in Chicago, Illinois. Her religious affiliation was Catholic.

She is preceded in death by parents Steven & Magbalence Seper; husband Norman G. Young; two sons Billie Hassett & Michael Hassett.

She is survived by her son, Son, Norman & daughter-in-law (Lynda) Young, of Largo, Florida Rita’s cremains will be taken back to Largo, FL.

Loren Nile McElwee

A Memorial Service for Loren Nile McElwee, age 57 of Onalaska, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Larry Jones will conduct the service.

Loren was born on September 11, 1954, in Houston, Texas, to parents, Loren Nile McElwee, Sr. and Norma Beatrice Richards McElwee. He passed away on June 23, 2012, at his home in Onalaska, Texas.

Loren is preceded in death by his parents, Loren and Norma McElwee; nephew, Kurtis Glover and great nephew, Kason Allen Nelson. Loren is survived by his wife, Mary McElwee of Onalaska; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby Joe and Michelle McElwee of Waxahachie; step-son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Heather Hardy of Onalaska; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Kimberly and Gary Hill of Groesbeck and Julie and Michael Perez of Crystal City; step-mother, Rachel McElwee; brother, Fred McElwee II; two step-brothers, Roy Broadway of Washington State and Matthew Broadway of Huntsville; five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Joyce Manley of Iowa, Judy and Robert Hoke of Silsbee, Delores and Pistol Johnson of Ace, Ludie and Paul Fogle of Groesbeck and Brenda Clark of Rye; step-sister, Tracie Broadway of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren and multiple nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Kenny Ernest Strom

Kenny Ernest Strom, age 43 of Lufkin, Texas touched the hand of God on June 21, 2012, in Livingston, Texas. Kenny was born on March 27, 1969, in Chisholm, Minnesota to parents, Wallace Maynard Strom and Carol Ann (Miller) Strom.

Kenny is preceded in death by his father, Wallace Strom. He is survived by son, Micheal Strom of Lufkin, Texas; mother, Carol Strom of Point Blank, Texas; brother, Lee Alan Strom of Hawaii; sister, Tamalynn Dixon of Hot Springs, Arkansas; sister, Carrie Ashman of Merrifield, Minnesota; sister, Michele Jacobson of Lufkin, Texas; sister, Kellie Loberg of Jacobson, Minnesota; and numerous nieces, nephews and other friends, also survive.

Kenny was a loving son, father, husband and baby brother. Kenny’s cremains will be taken back to Goodland, Minnesota.

George Owen Crist

Funeral Services for George Owen Crist, age 95 of Livingston, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 26, 2012, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel, Livingston, Texas with Rev. Irwin Mott officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Camp Ruby cemetery.

George was born on May 30, 1917, in Sherman, Texas to parents, John W. Crist and Ethel (Harris) Crist and passed away on June 23, 2012, in Livingston, Texas.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Ethel Crist; wife, Ruby Crist; son William “Skeet” Crist; brothers, Wesley Crist and Raymond Crist; and sisters, Lorene Elmore and Marie Cummins.

He is survived by his son, Mike Crist of Lake Jackson, Texas; grandson, Steve Crist; granddaughter, Cindy Kirby; granddaughter, Terrie Simpson; granddaughter, Judy Mitchell; great grandson Wyatt Kirby; and great granddaughter, Mist Crist; and numerous other relatives and friends, also survive.

Steve Nelson

Funeral Services for Steve Nelson, age 63 of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Harold Isaacs will conduct the services. Pallbearers are Jim Walker, Chuck Deeter, Bobby Gokey, Jr., Josh Nelson, Larry Smith, Calobe Isaacs, Duane Walker and Danny Ray McClosky. Honorary pallbearers are Mike Levingston, David Levingston, Hayden Stephens and Dwayne Zatopek. Following the chapel service, interment will be held at Peebles cemetery in Livingston.

Steve was born on July 22, 1948, in Port Arthur, Texas, to parents, Tommy “Pete” Nelson and Muriel Walker Nelson. He passed away on June 21, 2012, in Houston, Texas. Steve married Priss Walters Nelson in Livingston, Texas on September 11, 2005. He worked in transportation for the Livingston I.S.D. for the last five years. Steve was a member of Beacon Bay Baptist Church in Livingston.

He is survived by his wife, Priss Nelson of Livingston; daughter, Kristell Nelson of Houston; two sons and daughter-in-law, Mike Levingston of Wimberley and David and Carly Levingston of San Marcos; parents, Pete and Muriel Nelson of Goodrich; two brothers, two sisters-in-law, and sister, Mark and JoAnn Nelson of Goodrich, Debbie McGee of Texas City and Scott and DaWanda Nelson of Goodrich; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives.

John Collins “Bubba” Handley

Funeral Services for John Collins “Bubba” Handley, 62, of Barnum, Texas will be held Saturday, June 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church Family Life Center in Corrigan, Texas with Bro. Lesly Wilkinson and Bro. Hails Taylor officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Feagin cemetery in Hortense, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, June 22, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Family Life Center.

Mr. Handley was born April 26, 1950 in Nacogdoches, Texas to John and Wanda Handley and passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2012 in Humble, Texas. He worked as a Drilling Operational Superintendent for ExxonMobile and was a Baptist by faith. He loved his family and friends very much and enjoyed spending time with them. He loved to hog hunt, deer hunt, ride horses, raise cows and anything else he could do outside. He is preceded in death by his parents, John Aaron and Wanda Lou (Gulley) Handley.

He is survived by his wife: Sandy (Sage) Handley of Barnum, Texas; sons and daughters-in-law: Travis and Jeannie Handley of Corrigan, Texas, Coty and Kana Handley of Clovis, New Mexico, Seth and Lene Handley of Corrigan, Texas, Joel Handley of Fredericksburg, Texas; daughter: Sarah Meagan Handley of Austin, Texas; sisters and brothers-in-law: Eva and Bob Barrett of Seabrook, Texas, Debbie and Lynn Timbrook of Starksville, Mississippi; grandchildren: Tanner, Holli, Kyli, Saydi, Malia, Skyler, Taylor, Ty, and Joshua; special family member: Jerry Grimes, and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Jimmy Wright, Gordon Birdwell, Jimmy Riley, Travis Barnes, Mike Jones, Phil Broxson, Geary Bane, Doug David.

Mikaela Evalynn Taylor was born on June 16, 2012, in Houston, Texas, to Mark Taylor II and Sheila Boone, and passed
away on June 16, 2012, in Houston.

She is survived by her parents, Mark Taylor II and Sheila Boone; sister, Aleigh Ritter; grandmother, Susie Boone; grandfather, Gerald Boone; grandfather, Mary Taylor and grandmother, Carolyn Taylor. Numerous aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.

Graveside services were held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 24, 2012, at Menard Chapel cemetery in Livingston. Pallbearers were Josh Hunter, Billy Gisie, Tim Wimerley and David Laviolett.

Emily Louise Lane

Emily Louise Lane was born on September 2, 1938, in Linden, Alabama to parents, Buford Cobb and Lena Pauline (Schroeder) Cobb and passed away on June 16, 2012, in Point Blank, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Buford Cobb and Lena Pauline (Schroeder) Cobb and her son, Clinton Small. Emily is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Cyndy and William Schiele, and Valarie and Troy Furr; daughter, Paula Stanley; sisters, Frankie Nell, Lavern, Lillian, and Alma Jean; brother, Kenneth Cobb and sister, Sandra. She is also survived by her step-sons, Phillip Kilpatrick and Zack Kilpatrick; step-daughter, Alice Kilpatrick and grandchildren, Mikki, Dean, Devra, Brandy, Cody, Christina, Teri, Stacey, Raymond, and Kenneth and eleven great grandchildren. Numerous other relatives and friends, also survive.

Funeral Services for Anice Bailey Jones, age 90 of Livingston, will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at the Votaw Worship Center, in Votaw, Texas with Bro. Anthony Rhodes officiating the services. Interment icon will follow in the Holly Grove cemetery. Pallbearers are Morris Rhodes, Dwight Rhodes, Steven Majeski, Elton Allemang, Melton Allemang, and Dale Bailey.
Anice was born on February 10, 1922, in Livingston, to parents, Bob Bailey and Melve Vira Emily (Richardson) Bailey and passed away on June 15, 2012, in Corrigan, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Bob Bailey and Melve Vira Emily (Richardson) Bailey; Daughter, Mary Emily; Husbands, Earl Walters and CT Jones; Step-Mother, Kate Bailey; Sisters, Gladys Warren, Laura Rhodes, Mamie Collins; Brothers-in-law, Robert Warren and Mann Collins; Sister-in-law, Velma Bailey; Step-Brothers, J. R. Williams and P. L. Williams.

She is survived by her Brothers, L.V. Bailey, L.C. Bailey and wife, Sudie and T.H. Bailey and wife, Mary Beth. Numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends, also survive.

Tommy Wayne Lockhart

Tommy Wayne Lockhart was born on July 31, 1952 in Houston, Texas to Tom Watson Lockhart and Oleane Pruitt Lockhart. passed away on Sunday June 17, 2012 at the age of 59 years. Mr. Lockhart was a fellow Christian in the Baptist church. He was a Veteran having served in the United States Marine Corp. And a life time member of the VFW Post #8953 of Romayor, Texas. He is survived by his mother, Oleane Lockhart; niece, Virginia Key and husband Grady; uncle, Glen Pruitt and wife Helen; numerous other relatives and host of friends. preceded in death by father Tom Watson Lockhart. Pallbearers include: Joe Baxley, Nelson Pruitt, Armond Brown, Dennise Bedingfield, Richard Brown and Grady Key. Visitation will be held from 5PM to 8PM on Tuesday June 19, 2012 at Pace Funeral Home. A celebration of Tommy’s life will begin at 10AM Wednesday June 20, 2012 also at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Mike Meadows officiating. Interment icon to follow at Forest Hill cemetery. Military honors provided by VFW Post #8568.

Kelly K. Roach/Holt, age 45 of Romayor, Texas, passed away on September 11, 2012, at her home. She was born on April 24, 1967, to parents, David Franklin Roach and Barbara Elizabeth Hughes Roach in Marion, Illinois. Kelly married David Holt in Polk County, Texas, in 1990.

She was preceded in death by her father, David Franklin Roach, son, Robert Louis Coello and cousin, Cheyanne N. Davis. Kelly is survived by her husband, David Holt of Rye, Texas; daughter, Elizabeth “Ashley” Holt of Rye, Texas; mother, Barbara Elizabeth Roach of Livingston, Texas; brothers, sisters and sister-in-law, Paul Roach of Ace, Texas, Susan Holt of Ace, Texas, Steven Roach of Livingston, Texas, Chyrel Moore of Florida, Karen Metcalf of California, Monica Graves of Livingston, Texas; heart sister, Kay Yancey; heart daughters and sons, Brandy Nicole Holt, Chris Holt, David Holt II, Heather Holt, all of Rye, Texas; granddaughter, Starr Marie Montgomery; grandsons, Hunter Dewayne Langham, Nicolas Holt and Shane Daniel Holt; nieces and nephews, Tabitha E. Alexander, Tasha R. Pallbearers will be David Holt, David Roach, Steve Roach, Paul Roach, Joey Roach and Chuck Bowen. Honorary pallbearers will be Kelso Kindle, Wesley Langham and Chris Holt. Following the chapel service, interment will be held at Romayor Baptist Church cemetery in Romayor, Texas.
