Revis Anthony Jernigan, age 92 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on January 23, 2013, in Livingston. Revis was born on January 13, 1921, in Carmona, Texas, to parents, Joe and Mineola Graham Jernigan.

Revis is preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Mineola Graham Jernigan; his wife, Louise Jernigan; four brothers, Elmer, Victor, Clarence, and Willie; and one sister, Ola Mae Lowery. He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Tony Jernigan and Melissa, of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Terri Ann Thomason and Clifton, of Houston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Teresa Eckard and James, of Glendale, Arizona; grandchildren, Chris Wilson, Rusty Jernigan, Cami Ehler, Shelbi Moore, Chuck Wilson, Wyatt Thomason, Wesley Thomason, Nicole Parks, and Jared Jernigan; seventeen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and one on the way; step-son, Hal Poorman, of Kerrville, Texas; step-son, Sammy Poorman, of Kerrville, Texas; step-son, Van Poorman, of Katy, Texas; step-daughter, Tonja Griffin, of Houston, Texas; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Revis served in the U.S. Army and received the following medals, the American Theater Campaign Medal, Asiatic-Pacific Campaign Medal with 1 Bronze Star, Philippine Liberation Ribbon with 1 Bronze Star, Good Conduct Medal, Victory Medal, 1 Service Stripe, and 1 Overseas Service Bar.

A memorial service for Revis Anthony Jernigan will be held Friday, January 25, 2013, at 6:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Rev. James Frazier will be officiating the service with the assistance of Rev. Pat Hitt.

Graveside Services for Billie Jean Turner, 85, of Chester, Texas will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Mt. Hope cemetery in Chester, Texas with W.C. Hall and John Tyler officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 24, 2013 in the Mt. Hope cemetery from 1:00 to 2:00 prior to the service.

Mrs. Turner was born September 10, 1927 in Moscow, Texas and passed away Monday, January 21, 2013 in the Woodville Health & Rehabilitation Center of Woodville, Texas. She was an avid animal lover. She is preceded in death by her husband: Milton Turner; parents: Kyre Platt and Pearl (Tarver) Platt.

Mrs. Turner is survived by her sister: Kathryn Platt David of Chester, Texas; sisters-in-law: Delores Platt of Moscow, Texas and Bettye Platt of Lufkin, Texas; brother-in-law: Morris Turner and wife Peggy of Atlanta, Georgia; numerous nieces, nephew and other family and friends.

Pallbearers: Clay Platt, Jeff Platt, Jim Bostock, Lynn Tarver, Mike Tarver, Paul Neal.

Hairm G. Walker was born on August 18, 1934 to Hairm G. Walker Sr. and Alta Crowe Walker in Trinity, Texas. He passed away on January 16, 2013 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 78. He is survived by his loving wife Rose Mary; daughters, Gloria Orlando, Rianna Miller, Chatta Tompkins and husband Michael; grandchildren, James Hairm and wife Danielle, Carl Anthony, Juliette, Carletta; great grandchildren, Logan, Mason, Landon, Braylon, Victoria Wooten; brothers, David Walker, Jimmy Walker; sister in laws, Gloria Farquhar and Wanda Lowe; nephews, Tommy Farquhar and Mack Lowe; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Carla Orlando; grandchild, Rosie Walker; brother in laws, Lloyd Forest Lowe & Tommy Farquhar Sr. A Celebration of Hairm’s life will be held at a later date by the family.

John Stanely Turczyn

John Stanely Turczyn was born June 2, 1948 to Stanislaw & Stefania Banasik Turczyn in Krakow, Poland which preceded him in death. He died peacefully January 19, 2013 in Livingston, Texas at the age of 64 years. John was a veteran in the United States Army having served in Vietnam. Some of his hobbies were fishing and playing on his computer. John is survived by his loving wife Cindy Turczyn; best friend, Frank Wells. Pallbearers will be Brian Loftin, Chris Woger, Pat Keaveny, Woodrow Deason, James Orona; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. A Celebration of John’s life will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with Reverend Joseph Minh Nguyen S.V.D. officiating.
