Murel “Cowboy” Stapleton, age 72, of Livingston, Texas, passed away on April 24, 2013, in Livingston. He was born on September 21, 1940, in Columbia Louisiana, to parents, Harvey Lee and Katie Lee Wilson Stapleton.

Murel “Cowboy” Stapleton is preceded in death by both of his parents; and brothers, Harvey Stapleton and Roy Stapleton. He is survived by his son, Kenneth Murel Stapleton, of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Cindy Woodward and Jeff, of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Jean Buck and David, of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandchildren, Keyla Woodward, Marie Woodward, Jeffrey Murel Woodward, Katie Jean St. Andry, Whitnee St. Andry; he was able to see and meet his only great-grandchild, Lisa Marie Burke; brothers, Johnny Stapleton, Luther Ray Stapleton, and James Stapleton; uncle, Buckshot Stapleton; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Murel “Cowboy” Stapleton will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Welcome Home cemetery in Grayson, Louisiana.

Daniel Raymond Jacobs

Daniel Raymond Jacobs, age 59 of Bedias, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2013, in Bedias. Daniel was born on September 22, 1953, in Burbank, California, to parents, Floyd and Margie Louise Knowlden Jacobs.

Daniel is preceded in death by his mother, Margie Louise Knowlden Jacobs and brother, Calvin Jacobs. He is survived by his father, Floyd Jacobs; daughter, Harmony Jacobs, of Lynnwood, Washington; son, Daniel Jacobs, of Burbank, Calfornia; grandchildren, Zoe Gerzasi and Emery Hood; brother, Skip Jacobs, of Bedias, Texas; brother, Jeff Jacobs, of College Station; sisters, Karen Patti, of Ocean Side, California; sister, Kathy Jacobs; sister Linda Jacobs, of California; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Daniel Raymond Jacobs will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Big Sandy cemetery, in Dallardsville, Texas. Bro. Charlie Tanner will be officiating the service.

Military honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard, Post #8568.

A visitation will be held Saturday, April 27, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Cochran Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas.

Luis Daniel Diaz Lopez, age 41 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on April 19, 2013, in Livingston. He was born on June 6, 1971, in Mexico, Guadalajara, Jalisco, to parents, Luis Diaz Aguallo and Olivia Lopez Delgado.

Luis Daniel Diaz Lopez is preceded in death by his mother, Olivia Lopez Delgado, of Guadalajara. He is survived by his wife, Veronica Araceli Luna Flores Diaz, of Livingston; three sons, Jonathan Diaz, Christian Diaz, and Daniel Diaz; three daughters, Joycalyn Diaz, Veronica Diaz, and Denisse Diaz; sister, Veronica Garcia, of Chicago, Illinois; brother, Eduardo Diaz, of Guadalajara; sister, Judit Diaz Lopez, of Guadalajara; father, Luis Diaz Aguallo, of Guadalajara; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A mass will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Livingston, Texas. Reverend Clifton Labbe, S.V.D will be officiating the service.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 5:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home, with the rosary beginning at 6:00 PM.

Ricky Charles Monk, age 55 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on April 20, 2013, in Livingston. Ricky was born on July 29, 1957, in Mineral Wells, Texas, to parents, Charles Henry and Madaline Simmons Monk.

Ricky is preceded in death by his father, Charles Henry Monk; and daughter, Carolyn Marie Monk. He is survived by his wife, Annette Monk, of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Marie Monk, of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Jeanette and Darrell Lavalais, of Daisetta, Texas; daughter, Shanda Mingus, of Highlands, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Ashley Mabry, of Tyler, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Christiana Moore, of Shepherd, Texas; mother, Madaline Monk, of Huffman, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Rocky Joe and Karen Monk, of Huffman, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanie and Bill Hallmark, of Dayton, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Donna and Richard SanMiguel, of Huffman, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Charlene and Dan Boren, of Bay City, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Millissa and Roy Evans, of Grandbury, Texas; grandchildren, Kentarious Lavalais, Darrell Lavalais, Jr., James Anthony, and one on the way; along with numerous other nieces, nephews, and friends.

Ricky will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers, Charles Monk, Josh Moore, Rocky Monk, Jr., Tim Polston, Dusty SanMiguel, Richard SanMiguel, Tony Gross, Kevin Mabry, Kentarious Lavalais, and Darrell Lavalais, Jr. Honorary pallbearers are Bill Hallmark and Randy Dickerson.

Services for Ricky Charles Monk will be held Thursday, April 25, 2013, at 1:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Brett Lester will be officiating the service. Interment icon will follow at Peebles cemetery.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2013, at 5:00 PM, also at Cochran Funeral Home.

George Edwin Hamilton, Sr.
February 24, 1923 – April 19, 2013

George Edwin Hamilton, age 90 of Coldspring, Texas, passed away on April 19, 2013, in Livingston, Texas. George was born on February 24, 1923, in Haskell, Texas, to parents, George Newton and Minnie Bell Myers Hamilton.

George is preceded in death by both of his parents; wife, Wilmuth Hamilton; brother, Willis Hamilton; and sons, George Edwin Hamilton, Jr. and Ralph Hamilton. He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Deborah Hamilton; grandchildren, Christy Hamilton-Dobson and husband Tommy, of Coldspring, Texas, Scott Allan Hamilton, of Coldspring, Texas, George Edwin Hamilton III, of Houston, Texas, and Kimberly Hamilton-Pfeiffer and husband Mack, of Austin, Texas; great-grandchildren, Megan Renee Dobson, Ashley Christine Dobson, Zachary Allan Hamilton, Ethan Shaun Hamilton, Derek Pfeiffer, Karl Pfeiffer, Van Pfeiffer, Alyssa Hamilton, Tristan Hamilton, and George Hamilton IV; along with numerous other relatives and friends. George was a 60 year Master Mason and a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite Mason. He devoted sixty years of his life to masonry. He was awarded numerous awards and certificates, such as the Golden Trowel Award and his 60 year pin.

Services for George Edwin Hamilton will be held Tuesday, April 23, 2013, at Hollywood cemetery, in Houston, Texas. Pastor Charlie Lackey will be officiating the service.

Julie is preceded in death by her father, Leonard Pasek; sister, Joyce Tenold; and husband, L.B. Spradlin. She is survived by her mother, Mary Pasek, of Moose Lake, Minnesota; daughters, Jennifer Mlaskoch, of St. Paul, Minnesota and Janelle Jorgensen, of Willow River, Minnesota; son, Joseph Stepan, of Moose Lake, Minnesota; grandchildren, Taylor, Joshua, Josephine, Hadley, and Haley; brothers, James Pasek, of Kettle River, Minnesota, Jeffery Pasek, of Kettle River, Minnesota, and John Pasek, of Hinckley, Minnesota; sister, Janice Koenings; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Kettle River, Minnesota, at a later date.
