Nellie Elizabeth Darnell, age 83 of Rye, Texas passed away on July 15, 2013 in Conroe, Texas. Nellie was born on November 6, 1929 in Houston, Texas to parents, Rufus Lee Darnell and Justine Elizabeth (Sharpley) Darnell.

Nellie is preceded in death by both of her parents; son, David K. Ross; twin sisters, Grace Mary and Georgia May; brothers, Jim, Littleton, Johnny, and Charlie; sister, Sarah. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth M. Estes, Gary V. Ross, Georgia G. Vargas, Darius D. Ross, Mark T. Ross, Sherry R. Unruh, Joel L. Ross, and Melissa S. Aguilar; twenty-five grandchildren; forty-one great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; siblings, David, Bertha, Kathleen, and Linda; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

There will be a private memorial service held Saturday, July 27, 2013, at 2:00 PM, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness in Livingston, Texas.

Dana Louise Schaeffer Benson

Dana Louise Schaeffer Benson born on August 9, 1943 in La Porte, Indiana to Daniel Lawrence and Mary Koteles Schaeffer passed away on July 13, 2013 at the age of 69. Dana is survived by her loving husband of 50 years Charles Alan Benson; sons, Keith A. Benson and wife Kathy of Friendswood, Texas and Charles D. Benson and wife April of Webster, Texas; granddaughters, Brittney Benson of LA, California, Mellissa Benson of Friendswood, Texas, Loren Benson of Friendswood, Texas, Samantha Benson and great granddaughter, Lily Benson of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandson, Chase Benson of LA, California; brothers, Daniel L. Schaeffer II and wife P.G. of British, Columbia and Louis Popp of Painesville, Ohio; cousin, Karen and husband Joe Remeika of Phoenix, Arizona; numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.

Dana and her husband have been in this area since 1995. She was employed at USM Anesthesia as a certified registered nurse anesthetist in Conroe, Texas. Dana was a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists and Texas Association of Nurse Anesthetists. Dana was over the anesthesia at the Memorial Hospital in Livingston, Texas for 5 years. The family is having a private service for Dana. In lieu of flowers, you may make a donation of your choice in Dana’s Memory.

Jeff Forisha
August 24, 1976 – August 3, 2013

Jeff Forisha, age 36 of Trinity, Texas passed away on August 3, 2013 in Onalaska, Texas. Jeff was born on August 24, 1976 in Houston, Texas to parents James and Patsy (Bedwell) Forisha.

Jeff graduated from Trinity High School in 1995. Jeff enjoyed farming, hunting, and fishing. He always had a positive outlook on life and was very upbeat. Some say he had a heart of gold and he was always quick to lend a helping hand. Jeff never met a stranger, he had many friends and family who loved him dearly.

Jeff is preceded in death by his aunt, Glenda McKay; grandparents, Houston and Thelma Forisha; uncle, Harold Lynn Forisha; and cousin, Brandon Forisha. He is survived by his parents, James and Patsy Forisha of Trinity, Texas; grandparents, Willie and Catherine Bedwell of Trinity, Texas; uncle, Garvin and Judy Forisha of Houston, Texas; aunt, Charlotte Brokmeyer of Trinity, Texas; cousins, Christine Forisha of Houston, Texas, Michelle Smith of Dallas, Texas, Penny McManus and Shane of Arlington, Texas, Janise and Rick Jurica of Allen, Texas, Christie and Gary Snider of Kingwood, Texas, Brittney Snider, Ashlynn Snider, and Darci Snider, all of Kingwood, Texas; numerous other relatives and friends.

Services for Jeff Forisha will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, August 6, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Interment icon will follow at Carlisle cemetery in Carlisle, Texas.

Ricky Emmons, age 60 of Moscow, Texas passed away on August 1, 2013 in Lufkin, Texas. Ricky was born on August 15, 1952 in Houston, Texas to parents, Charles Eugene Emmons and Betty Lou Bickford Emmons.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Dewey Dwayne Emmons; sister, Brenda Elaine Emmons Fender; nephews, Heath Kruse and Reese Kruse. Ricky is survived by wife, Michelle Wunderlich of Moscow, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, David and Carmon Emmons of Doucett, Texas; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Wanda Emmons and J.R. Kruse of De Kalb, Texas, Ernie and Ruth Emmons McClendon of Livingston, Texas and Anthony and Becky Emmons Hendrix of Livingston, Texas; son, Chuck and daughter, Sarah; nieces and nephews, Paul, Pam, Brandy, Tish, Roman, Lauren, Jessica, Brian, Brenda Jean, and Dwight; numerous other great-nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ricky Emmons will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, August 4, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Rev. David Emmons will conduct the services. Following the chapel service, interment will be at Holhausen-Darby cemetery in Moscow, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Saturday, August 3, 2013 also at Cochran Funeral Home.

John Steven Wood
January 19, 1935 – August 1, 2013

John Steven Wood, age 78 of Livingston, Texas passed away on August 1, 2013 in Livingston. John was born on January 19, 1935 in Indianapolis, Indiana, to parents Edward F. Wood and Juanita Risk Wood.

John is preceded in death by his parents and four sons, Raymond Wood, Clifford Wood, Curtis Wood, and Steven Wood. He is survived by his wife, Jessie Wood of Rye, Texas; granddaughter, Carla Kay of Houston, Texas; ten other grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; friends, Samantha and Frank Hall of Rye, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for John Steven Wood will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, August 5, 2013, at Pace Stancil Memorial Park cemetery in Cleveland, Texas.

Bobby Gene Glass
January 12, 1938 – July 30 2013

Beloved father, brother, grandfather, husband, and friend, Bobby Gene Glass busted heaven’s doors wide open Tuesday morning, July 30, 2013. Bobby was 75 years old.

Bobby was born in Moscow, Texas to Owen and Mary Glass on January 12, 1938.

Bobby was known and loved by many. He enjoyed hunting, driving 18-wheelers, working, and spending time with his family. He worked for Ogletree Lumber Yard for many years in his early days. He was also an Army Veteran.
Bobby is preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Mary Glass; step-father, Bill Massy; two brothers and two sisters. He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Jerri Glass; sons, Scooter Glass and wife Debbie of Ft. Myers, Florida; Peanut Glass and wife Odessa of Moscow, Texas; Scottie Glass and wife Stacy of Moscow, Texas; daughter, Karen Bowman and husband Randy of Livingston, Texas; daughter-in-law, Sharon Glass of Livingston, Texas. He has numerous grandkids, Angie Glass, Destiny Glass, Casey Jean Glass, Trisha Glass, Colton Munson, Randilyn Bowman, and Jimmy Hinman; great-grandkids, Isaac DeJesus, Alyssa Garcia, Scottie Glass, Jr., Harley Glass, and Donovan Glass. He also has many family and friends that love and miss him dearly.
Bobby will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers James Ray Bryan III, Efren Vivar, Scottie Glass, Colton Munson, Greg Ray, Randy Bowman, Scooter Glass, and Vernon Wolf. Honorary pallbearers are the great-grandkids, Isaac DeJesus, Alyssa Garcia, Scottie Glass, Jr., Harley Glass, and Donovan Glass.

Visitation will be held Friday, August 2, 2013, from 5:00 – 9:00 PM. Services will be held Saturday, August 3, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Graveside services will follow at Holhausen-Darby cemetery in Moscow, Texas.

James is survived by his parents, Charles and Margrett Holman of Leggett, Texas; father, James C. Hunter, II of Newton, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Kelly Parker of Houston, Texas; aunt and friend, Mary Self Bridges and Leonard McMorris of Springfield, Louisiana; aunt, Wanda Moore of Leggett, Texas; aunt, Patricia and Robert Denman of Corrigan, Texas; aunt, Gwendolyn and Clifford Gardner of Casa Grande, Arizona; aunt, Frankie Landers of Lufkin, Texas; uncle, Daniel and Doris Davis of Leggett, Texas; adoptive grandparents, Margie and Jimmy Murphy of Moscow, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Pastor Ron Richardson will be officiating the service, with the assistance of, Pastor Jim and Debbie Sherrill, Pastor Vernon Austin, and Bishop John Owens. Interment icon will follow at New Winsley cemetery in Leggett, Texas.

Visitation will start at 10:00 AM until service time Saturday morning.

Betty Jane Adams, age 83 of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on July 26, 2013 in Madisonville, Texas. Betty was born on November 2, 1929 in Houston, Texas to parents, Claude Morris Parten and Georgettie Jeanette (Delaney) Parten.

Betty is preceded in death by both of her parents and her husband, William Newton Adams. She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Eschberger and husband Don of Madisonville, Texas, Ruby Jeanette Adams, of Madisonville, Texas, and Annette Hernandez of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Adam Eschberger, April Fox and Kevin, Selina Hernandez, Matthew Hernandez; great-grandchildren, Christopher Eschberger, ZaKree Eschberger, Trey Lewis, and Eric Lewis; numerous other relatives and friends.

A graveside service for Betty Jane Adams will be held Thursday, August 1, 2013, at 10:00 AM, at Midway cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Bro. Gary Adams will be officiating the service.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013, at 5:00 PM at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

December 18, 1931 – July 28, 2013

Charles M. Adams, age 81 of Livingston, Texas passed away on July 28, 2013 in Livingston. Charles was born on December 18, 1931 in Kirbyville, Texas to parents, Elmer Ernest Adams and Mildred Catherine Wilson.
Charles became a member of the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department, Unit #5, in 1970. He was a charter member of the VFW Post #8568 and of Soda Baptist Church. Charles married Delores Deen Albright on March 23, 1956 in Baytown, Texas.

Charles is preceded in death by both of his parents, Elmer Adams and Mildred (Wilson) Adams/Stark; brother, James Edward Adams; sister, Janice Gilbert. He is survived by his wife, Delores Adams of Livingston, Texas; son, Larry Charles Adams and wife, Lisa, of Bryan, Texas; son, Mark Allen Adams of Livingston, Texas; son, Timothy Paul Adams and wife, Karen, of Goodrich, Texas; daughter, Deena Darlene Recker and husband, Anthony, of Batavia, Iowa; son, David Dwane Adams and wife, Diane, of Cleveland, Texas; seventeen grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Hugh Adams of Spurger, Texas; sisters, Shirley Arnold of Lumberton, Texas and Earnestine Turpin of Saginaw, Texas; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

Charles will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers, Larry Adams, Mark Adams, Timothy Adams, David Adams, Anthony Recker, and Travis Tullos. His grandchildren are honorary pallbearers.

Services for Charles M. Adams will be held Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 10:00 AM at Soda Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Wayne Bickley will be officiating the service. Interment icon will follow at Friendship cemetery in Jasper, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568.

Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM on Wednesday, until service time.
