Funeral services for Wanda Mae Kelley, 87, of Onalaska, Texas, will be held Sunday, May 18, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with John Venning officiating. Interment icon will follow in the Magnolia cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, May 17, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas.

Mrs. Kelley was born July 28, 1926 in Bailey County, Texas and passed away Monday, May 12, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She was a program director for the State of Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Truman Kelley; father, Lester Johnson; mother, Virgie Mae Tyson; stepfather, John Tyson; son, Lynn Kelley; and sister, Evelyn Davis.

She is survived by her daughter, Gwen Nevils of Kinder, Louisiana; grandchildren, Gina Kelley Nevils, Gigi Nevils Noe and husband Dr. Timothy Noe II, Gia Katrina Nevils; great grandchildren, Vivian, Emma, Evalyn, Aurora; brothers, Caton Tyson and Jesse Tyson both of Maple, Texas; sister, Maxine Robertson; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Damon Miles, Dr. Tim Noe and members of the Livingston congregation of Jehovah’s Witness.

Merlin David Ivie

Merlin David Ivie, born on September 9, 1950 in Houston, Texas to Coleman Chester Ivie Jr. and Joyce Juanita Tice Ivie, passed away on May 12, 2014 at the age of 63. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Kathleen Ward Ivie; mother, Joyce Juanita Ivie, children, David Aaron Ivie, Michelle Denise Ivie Washington and husband James, Anna Belle Ivie and Joshua Christopher Ivie; brother, Mark Allen Ivie; sister, Rebecca Sue Ivie; numerous other relatives and a host of friends. David was preceded in death by his father; brothers, Michael Coleman Ivie and Marvin Bruce Ivie “Joe”. David loved the outdoors. He proudly served in the United States Army. Visitation will be on Thursday, May 15, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM at Pace Funeral Home 200 FM 350 North Livingston, Texas. A Celebration of David’s life will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 16, 2014 at Pace Funeral Home with Bro. Glen Mead officiating. Eugene Trinidad Francis Martinez

A memorial service for Eugene Trinidad Francis Martinez will be held at 3:00 P.M., Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Soda Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Bickley officiating.

Eugene was born on August 19, 1957 in Carizozo, New Mexico and passed away on February 5, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Trinidad and Antonia (Pacheco) Martinez; brothers, Samuel Martinez and Trinidad Martinez, Jr., sisters, Mary Dirickson and Lydia Ana Martinez.

He is survived by his son, Christopher Cole and daughter-in-law, Rochele of Zavalla, Texas; daughter, Laura Barker and son-in-law, Harley of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Ashley Boyle and husband, Danny of Kingwood, Texas, Timothy Odom and wife, Chelsea of Houston, Texas, Brandi Martinez of Livingston, Texas, Trevor Odom of Kingwood, Texas, Brandon Logan of Japan, Tricia Logan of Shepherd, Texas, Samantha Setters and husband, Michael, Tony Garcia, Corbin Garcia, all of Zavalla, Texas; great-grandchildren, Tucker Boyle, Ember Boyle and Skyler Setters; along with other numerous family members and friends.

Lillie Olga “Dworsky” Butcher Drabek was born on March 8, 1928 in Crisman, Texas and passed away on February 6, 2015 in Bryan, Texas. She had worked as a secretary for a Power Systems Engineering Company for many years and also was member of the First United Methodist Church in Goodrich, Texas. Lillie is preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Tillie (Schumaker) Dworsky; husbands, Sheldon Gene Butcher and Eddie R. Drabek; sister, Selma Dworsky Schoeneman; brothers, August Dworsky, Otto Dworsky, Edgar Dworsky, Rudolph Dworsky and Albert Dworsky.

She is survived by her niece and care-giver, Barbara Charanza and husband Lawrence of Bryan, Texas; nephew, Sam Long and wife, Barbara of Alva, Oklahoma; other numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her step-sons, Rudy Drabek and wife Donna of Houston, Texas, Wayne Ford and wife Kelvia of Mexico.

Lillie will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, David Hourseworth, Lawrence Charanza, Melvin Schoeneman, David Kehlenbrink, Stephen Jeske and Colby Jeske.

December 4, 1935 – February 1, 2015

Wilbert Louis Vilo was born December 4, 1935 in Orange, Texas, and passed away February 1, 2015 in Lufkin, Texas at the age of 79.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Felix Vilo and Edea Picard Vilo; son, Chip Vilo, numerous brothers and two sisters.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melissa and William Smelley of Onalaska, Texas; brother, Stanly Vilo of Corpus Christi, Texas; daughter-in-law, Charlotte Jones of Shepherd, Texas; 10 grandchildren, Erica and Farrah Vilo, Misty Fulgium, Tabby Bland, Stella Chandler, Chrystal Bice, Darla Waddle, Christina Jones, Brian Smelley and Tammy Mitchel; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. McDowell was born September 10, 1950 in Houston, Texas, to parents, James Christopher Southers and Gracie Cleo (Cardwell) Southers, and passed away February 4, 2015 in Rye, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Reba Faye Warner; and grandson, Justin Ryan McDowell.

She is survived by her husband, John McDowell of Rye, Texas; son, John Edward McDowell and Lori of Alvin, Texas; son, James Christopher McDowell and Tammy of Humble, Texas; son, Fredrick Alexander McDowell and Brenda of Deer Park, Texas; 14 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Glenda Cleo Williamson of Houston, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Jimmy Dean Harris, Sr.
July 30, 1933 – February 2, 2015

Funeral services for Jimmy Dean Harris, Sr., 81, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, February 7, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Brett Lester and Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post# 8568. Interment icon will follow at the Bold Springs cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, February 6, 2015 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Harris was born July 30, 1933 in El Dorado, Arkansas, to parents, William Lester Harris and Ola Frances (Cary) Harris, and passed away February 2, 2015 in The Woodlands, Texas. During his life, he received his Masters degree in 1970 from Sam Houston State University and taught school for a total of 45 years; 43 of which were in the Houston Independent School District. Jimmy was also a member of the Ball High Lunch Bunch and a past player of Ball High Tors. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Kenneth L. Harris.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Harris of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Holly Phillips and David of Livingston, Texas; son, Jimmy D. Harris, Jr. and Belinda of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Gretchen Harris, David Eric Phillips, Heidi Harris, Jimmy D. Harris, III., Derek Alan Phillips; great-grandchildren, Cade Bryant Randolph and Daisy Marie Harris; sister, Ann Freeman and Bobby; sister-in-law, Eva Harris; brother-in-law, Frank O’ Neill; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

James “Jim” Elton Simmons Jr., born on October 6, 1961, went to be with his Lord on January 19, 2015 in Houston, Texas at the age of 53. Mr. Mark Anthony Chesson was born October 31, 1955 in Houston, Texas, to parents, James Franklin Chesson and Gloria Marie (Garza) Chesson, and passed away January 31, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he loved to hunt, fish, and was an avid wrestling fan. Mark always took pride in his carpentry work. He was a loving and dedicated husband that was always very family oriented. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Shyra Ann (Chesson) Gilbreath.

He is survived by his wife, Debra L. Chesson of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Misty Rae Gassiott and Brandon of New Orleans, Louisiana, Christine L.
