SHEPPERSON SERVICE FRIDAY
Ed J. Shepperson, age 76, of Ozona died Wednesday, Feb. 10, 1999, in Ozona. Funeral service was Friday at 2:30 p.m. in First Baptist Church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements were by Preddy Funeral Home. Mr. Shepperson was born Jan. 15, 1923, in Hope, AR, to Agatha and Ed Shepperson. He was reared by his uncle, Rev. David Shepperson, and family after his father's death. He was a member of the Presbyterian faith and a World War II Veteran. He was a member of the Ozona Masonic Lodge #747, the Suez Shrine Temple of San Angelo and the VFW of Ozona. Mr. Shepperson had been a resident of Ozona since 1946. He retired from Wagner and Brown in 1992 after 17 years. Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Kaleta Shepperson of Ozona; one sister, Elizabeth Wellborn of Helena, AR; one brother, John Shepperson of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews who loved him very much. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Pallbearers were: Jim McCright, Don Hale, Kenneth Bristow, Jerry Hamilton, Scottie Bourne, Preston Hunnicutt, Brian Bristow and Tommy Matthews. Honorary pallbearers were: Johnny Hunnicutt, Fred Nicks, Raleigh Conner, Sam Worbington and Charlie Applewhite. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to the Heart Association or American Cancer Society.

MRS. PARKER BURIED IN ROCHELLE
Mrs. Allie Mae Parker died Thursday, Feb. 11, 1999, in Rochelle at the age of 78. Funeral services were held Saturday at 2 p.m. in Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Kenneth Barr officiating. Burial followed in Rochelle Cemetery. She was born June 20, 1920, to Allie and Mae (Gilbert) Armentrout. On April 11, 1939, she married Levon Parker in McCulloch County. Mrs. Armentrout was a housewife and a member of the Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Rochelle for six years, moving there from Ozona. She is survived by her husband, Levon Parker, of Rochelle; three sons, George Parker and his wife, Nancy, of Gunter, Tony Parker and his wife, Janice, of Sherman, and Rex Parker and his wife, Lori, of McKinney; one brother, George B. Armentrout of Granbury; one sister, Helen Patterson of Luling; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gilbert Armentrout.

EDITH JACKSON SERVICE IN SAN ANGELO
Edith D. Jackson, age 83, of Sheffield, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, in Ozona. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday in Johnson's Funeral Chapel in San Angelo with burial in Lawnhaven Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Preddy Funeral Home. Mrs. Jackson was born Dec. 24, 1915, in Ada, OK. She married G. W. Jackson April 20, 1946, in San Angelo. She was a member of the Sheffield Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband, G. W. "Skeet" Jackson of Sheffield; a son and daughter-in-law, Don and Judy Jackson of Sheffield; two sisters, Amy Morris of San Angelo and Ida Everts of Lamesa; two grandchildren, Dana Jackson of Euless and Justin Jackson of Sheffield and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jackson was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel C. and Geneva Smith; three brothers, Clay Estil Smith, Ray Smith, and Homer Smith, and one sister, Delphia Benson. SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. HUTCHINGS
Carrol Ann Hutchings, 55, of Pampa, died Thursday, Nov. 4, 1999. Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. Nov. 6 in Memory Gardens Cemetery with Mike Sublett, minister of Hi-Land Christian Church, officiating. Burial was under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. She was the daughter of Ruby Butler and sister of Glenda Henderson, both of Ozona. A memorial service for Mrs. Hutchings will be held at Crockett County Care Center at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 10, with Rev. Nancy Mossman officiating. Friends of her family are welcome to attend. Mrs. Hutchings was born Jan. 11, 1944, at Yale, OK. She graduated from Andrews High School in 1962. She married Troy Hutchings on Nov. 18, 1977, at Fort Worth. She had been a Pampa resident since 1984. She was a homemaker and a quilter. The quilts she made for friends and loved ones are treasured reminders of her many talents. Survivors include her husband, Troy Lee, of the home; her mother, Ruby Butler of Ozona; and two sisters, Glenda Henderson and her husband, Sonny, of Ozona, and Donna Kay Noblett and her husband, Cliff, of Forth Worth; nephew Ty McKinney and his wife, Lesly, of Arlington, and nephew Clint Noblett and niece Marie Noblett.

NOV. 8 SERVICE FOR MR. DELGADO
Juan Delgado Sr., age 97, died Friday, Nov. 5, 1999, in Crockett County Care Center. Rosary was held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday in Preddy Funeral Home. The funeral service was at 10:00 a.m. Monday at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial in Lima Cemetery. Mr. Delgado was born Aug. 21, 1902, in Allenda, Mexico. He was a resident of Ozona for 81 years, a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He retired from the Ozona School District. Mr. Delgado was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maria Delgado; and son, Braulio Delgado Sr. Survivors include: four daughters, Mercedes Vargas of Snyder, Edelmira Breiten and Margarita Castro, both of Garland, and Herminia Trevino and husband, Armando, of Fort Worth; three sons, Alfredo Delgado Sr. of Lubbock, Herculano Delgado and wife, Juanita, of Ozona, and Juan Delgado and wife, Minnie, of Garland; 48 grandchildren, 86 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Armandina Delgado, widow of Braulio Delgado Sr.

JOHNSON SERVICE SUNDAY
Calvin Bryan Johnson went to be with the Lord Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000, in Crockett County Care Center in Ozona. Funeral service was at 3:00 p.m. Sunday in the Ozona Chruch of Christ with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery

SANCHEZ SERVICE DEC. 30
Humberto Sanchez Ramos, age 52, of Ozona died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, in Ozona. Funeral services were at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial in Lima Cemetery. Arrangements were by Preddy Funeral Home. Mr. Ramos was born Oct. 20, 1948, in Ozona. He was a lifetime resident and a member of the Catholic Church. Survivors include his mother, Eloise S. Ramos of Ozona; one daughter, Tanya M. Perez of Ozona; one son, Patrick Ramos of Austin; one sister, Dorina Sanchez of Arlington; three brothers, Eddie Ramos, Charlie Ramos and Ray Ramos, all of Ozona; five grandchildren.

RANKIN SERVICE FOR MRS. HUTCHENS
Katie Jo Hutchens, 77, of Rankin died Friday, Dec. 22, 2000, in the Desert View Manor Nursing Home in Crane. Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27, at First Baptist Church in Rankin with Rev. Jim Medley officiating. Burial followed in the Rankin Cemetery. Mrs. Hutchens was born July 2, 1913, in Lubbock County. She had been a resident of Rankin since 1952. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Scoop" Hutchens Jr. on Oct. 23. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Johnson, and her husband, Teddy, of Rankin; a son, Hal Hutchens, and his wife, Vicki, of Rankin; two sisters, Helen Swagerty, and husband Stan of Sun City, AZ, Bobbie Hogue, and husband Sam, of Starford, OK; five grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

FEB. 14 SERVICE FOR CHRISTINA SANCHEZ AND JACQUELINE KAY GARCIA
Christina Sanchez, age 18, and Jacqueline Kay Garcia, age 22 months, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, in Ozona. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14, at First Baptist Church with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are by Preddy Funeral Home. Christina was born Sept. 3, 1982, in Big Lake. She was a senior at Ozona High School where she was a member of the band and the track team. Christina was a lifetime resident of Ozona and was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Jacqueline Kay Garcia was born March 29, 1999, in San Angelo. Christina is survived by her parents, Martin and Irma Sanchez of Ozona; maternal grandparents, Blas and Eujenia Ramos of Ozona; paternal grandmother, Consuelo Sanchez of Ozona; two brothers, Martin Sanchez Jr. and Steve Alexander Sanchez, both of Ozona. Jacqueline is survived by her father, Leon Garcia, of Ozona; paternal grandparents, Juan and Beatrice Garcia of Ozona; maternal grandparents, Irma and Martin Sanchez of Ozona; paternal great-grandmother, Consuelo Garcia of Ozona; paternal great-grandfather, Raul Gonzales of Ozona; maternal great-grandmother, Consuelo Sanchez of Ozona; maternal great-grandparents, Blas and Eujenia Ramos of Ozona; one aunt, Lanel Garcia of Ozona; two uncles, Martin Sanchez Jr. and Steve Alexander Sanchez, both of Ozona.

VARGAS RITES FEB. 9
Rodolfo Elisio "Cheo" Vargas, age 46, of Ozona died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2001, in a San Angelo hospital. Funeral service was at 10:00 a.m. Feb. 9 in Templo Siloe Assembly of God Church with burial in Lima Cemetery. Arrangements were by Preddy Funeral Home. Mr. Vargas was born May 6, 1954, in Ozona. He was a member of the Templo Siloe Assembly of God. Survivors include: one daughter, Eliza Tijerina of Ozona; four sisters, Jo Ann Mendez, Lisa Tobar, Rosie Gonzales, all of Ozona, and Carmen Robledo of San Angelo; one brother, Edward Vargas of Austin.

MR. BRACAMONTES BURIED FEB. 9
Paulino Arriaga Bracamontes, age 72, of Ozona died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at his home. Funeral service was at 4:00 p.m. Friday, Feb. 9, at Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida with burial in Lima Cemetery. Arrangements were by Preddy Funeral Home. Mr. Bracamontes was born June 22, 1928, in Juarez, Coah., Mexico. He was a member of the Iglesia Bautista Nueva Vida. Survivors include: his wife, Maria De La Luz Arriaga of Ozona; three daughters, Leticia Urbina of Del Rio, Loivia Castro of Ozona and Rosa Cruz of Ozona; one son, Nicholas Lopez of Sabinas, Mexico; two sisters, Josefina Arriaga B. of Juarez, Coah., Mexico and Tomasa Arriaga B. of Chicago, IL; two brothers, Lucio Arriaga B. and Domingo Arriaga B., both of Juarez, Coah., Mexico.

MR. RAMIREZ BURIED HERE FEB. 7
John Daniel "Danny" Ramirez went to be with the Lord on Monday, Feb. 5, 2001. Services were held on Feb. 7 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with burial in Lima Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Gutierrez Funeral Chapel in San Angelo and Preddy Funeral Home in Ozona. Danny was born March 5, 1950, in Sterling City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Nicholas Ramirez. Survivors include: two sons, John Daniel Ramirez Jr. and Moses Ramirez of Ozona; two daughters, Michelle Ramos of Ozona and Erica R. Gonzales of San Angelo; his mother, Elizabeth Aguirre of San Angelo; two brothers, Nick Ramirez Jr. of San Angelo and David Larry Ramirez of San Antonio; one sister, Janey Linda MuŅoz of San Angelo; four grandchildren, Jesse Ramos Jr., Joshua Ramos and Angelina Ramos of Ozona and Kaylee Danielle Ramirez of San Angelo. Danny had many friends and relatives and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

EASTERWOOD SERVICE FEB. 14 IN SMILEY
Doyle West Easterwood, 51, a resident of Aransas Pass for the past 11 years, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Audie Murphy Veterans' Hospital in San Antonio. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, Feb. 14, at 10:00 a.m. at Calvary Baptist Church in Aransas Pass with Rev. Gordon Bellinger officiating. Graveside services will be at 3:00 p.m. in Pilgrim Cemetery at Smiley with Rev. Jim Smith officiating. Doyle Easterwood was born June 2, 1949, in Sonora to Doyle Ward and Johnnie Mae Easterwood. He served in the U. S. Army during Vietnam and was a past manager for an oil field supply store in Ozona. While living in Aransas Pass he was owner/operator of the shrimp boat "Sharon Kay" and owner/operator of Easterwood Landscaping Company. He is survived by three daughters: Sabrina McKinney of San Angelo, Amy Reyna of Elgin and Rayanna Easterwood of Sterling City; his parents, Doyle and Johnnie Easterwood of Aransas Pass; two sisters, Sue Carr of Aransas Pass and Lesa Walk of Ingleside on the Bay; three grandchildren, Trevor McKinney, Shayla McKinney and Kayli Reyna.
