Dickey, 54, of Rt. 2, Elkhart, were held Tuesday, July 14, at 2 p.m. in Hassell & Foster Chapel, Palestine, with the Rev. L. Allen Holley and Calvin Dickey officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Percilla. Pallbearers were W. V. (Bill) Dressell, L. A. johnson, F. f. Odom, R. R. Broyles, A. J. Orr and Virgil Harris. Mr. Dickey was born Aug. 20, 1915 in Percilla to the late Andrew Kenneth Dickey and Mrs. Molly Brumley Dickey, and he died Sunday, July 12, at 7 p.m. in a Galveston hospital following an illness of several weeks. A locomotive engineer, he had been employed by Missouri Pacific Railroad since 1943, and resided in Palestine a number of years before moving to Houston in 1959; later, he moved to Freeport, and returned to Palestine in 1968. He was a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers and the United Transportation Union, and the Church of Covenant Presbyterian Church, Houston. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Pauline Garner Dickey, Elkhart; two sons, Kenneth Wayne Dickey and Aurbin T. Dickey Jr., both of Houston; four brothers, Alvin Dickey of Tyler, Marvin Dickey of Dallas, melvin Dickey of Palestine, and Robert Dickey of Bryan; two sisters, Mrs. Eads (Thelma) Blasser and Miss Sue Dickey, both of Palestine; a grandson, Stuart Dickey of Houston; several nieces and nephews. Thursday, May 28, 1970 Mrs. Elizabeth P. Dickey Mrs. Elizabeth P. Dickey, 70, of Crockett, died Wednesday evening. May 20, in a local hospital. Mrs. Dickey had lived in Houston County all of her life, and was a member of the First Methodist Church. Mrs. Dickey had lived in Houston County all of her life, and was a member of the First Methodist Chuirch. Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Saturday in the Waller Chapel. Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Park. Survivors include the husband, Joe Dickey of Crockett; a son, Burtis Dickey of Crockett, three daughters, Mrs. Weoda Paul of Beaumont, Mrs. Lova Priddy of Hereford and Mrs. Hila Sue fitch of Nacogdoches; a brother, Jessie Rhone fo Crockett; a sister, Mrs. W. L. Smith of Lufkin; eight grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. February 3, 1966 Services Held For Mrs. A. F. Dickey Mrs. A. F. Dickey Funeral services for Mrs. A. F. Dickey, 82, of Percilla, who died Wednesday in a Houston hospital, were held at 3 p.m. Friday in the Evergreen Chapel at Percilla, with the Rev. W. H. Wieting officiating. Burial was in Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Dickey was a lifelong Methodist, with membership in a Houston County Church. Survivors are three sons, E. L. Dickey of Grapeland, C. E. Dickey of Percilla and J. E. Dickey of palestine; a daughter, Mrs. Milton Adams of Grapeland; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; hour sisters, Mrs. Lizzie Rush and Mrs. Eva McKenzie, both of Houston, and Mrs. Randolph Kellum and Mrs. George Moore, both of Liberty Hill. Thursday, March 16, 1972 Robert Avery Dickey Mr. Robert Avery Dickey, 67, of Crockett, passed away Sunday, March 12, in the Houston County hospital. Mr. Dickey was a retired farmer and a lifelong resident of Houston County. He was an army vveteran of World War II, and a member of the American Legion. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Waller Chapel, with Rev. E. D. Sarratt officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Cemetery. Survivors incllude three brothers, Joe and Delbert Dickey, both of Crockett. and J. R. Dickey of Nacogdoches; a sister, Mrs. John Rich of Crockett; also several nieces and nephews.. Thursday, Jan. 23, 1958 William Dickey of Percilla Dies William Daniel Dickey William Daniel Dickey, 79, of Percilla, died following a long illness at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, Jan 15, in a Crockett hospital. A Retired farmer, Dickey was born in Houston County on may 30, 1878 and lived all his life in this locality. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 17, at 3 p.m. in the Evergreen Chapel, near Percilla, with Rev. John Davis and Rev. Bill Walker, officiating. Nephews served as pallbearers. Survivors are two sons, J. C. Kickey and Ed Dickey, both of Palestine; four daughters, Miss Clara Mae Dickey of Percilla, Mrs. Melvin Adams of springtown, Mrs. Darrell Drennan of Grand Prairie, Mrs. J. D. (Mag) Dickson, 85, will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. inthe Parker Chapel, west of Grapeland, with Rev. Earl Watson and Rev Raymond Craig officiating . Burial will follow in Parker Cemetery. Grandsons of Mrs. Dickoson will serve as pallbearers. Native of Houston County, Mrs. Dickson was born near Crockett on July 28, 1874. She died in a Palestine nursing home Wednesday following a short illness. Widow of the late Brince Dickson, she was a charter member of the Rocky Mound Baptist church. Jan. 2, 1975 Sam Edwin Die Funeral services for Sam Edwin Die, 75, were held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday in Houston and Rev. E. M. Yeats officiating. Burial was in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. Mr. Die, a resident of Houston, died Dec. 26 in the Trinity Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept 2, 1899 in Polk County and had lived in Houston for thepast 50 years. He was a member of the Magnolia Park Assembly of God Church and the Park Place Lodge No. 1172 AF & AM. He ws shop superintendent forStaylite Co. in Houston for 47 years. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Betha Die of Houston; a daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Jane Wright of Channelview; a daughter-in-law, Helen Die of Houston; a brother, Alfred Bryant Die of Austin, and two grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Waller Chapel, with Father Willaim Hamilton officiating. Burial was in the Latexo Cemetery. Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Hattie Dietz of Latexo; three daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Patton of Trinity and Mrs. Toby Low and Mrs. Gladys Thomas, both of Latexo; two sisters, Mrs. Paul Daniels and Mrs. Herbert Gregory, both of San Antonio; six grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Thursday, Oct. 25, 1973 Lowell Reaton Dikes Lowell Keaton Dikes, six months old son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Dikes of Lufkin, died Saturday morning in the Texas Children's Hospital in Houston. Infant Dikes was born in Houston, Texas, on April 22, 1973. Graveside funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Old Zion Cemetery near Kennard with Rev. Norman Garrett and Rev. Mrs. Dishongh had lived in Houston County the last 40 years, and was a member of the Church of God. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 22, in the Church of God, with Reverends R. B. Pearcy and Allee Woodard officiating. Burial was in the Taylor Cemetery in Trinity. Pallbearers were Danny Gilson, Sammy Reed, Dale Dishongh, Gary Dishongh, Mike Dishongh, and Charles W. Layfette. Dixon, 71, were held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Dorcas Wills Baptist Church with Rev. H.R. Stinson officiating. Burial was in the Taylor Cemetery. Mr. Dixon, a resident of Trintiy, died Jan. 1 in a Houston hospital. He was born March 25, 1903, in Caldwell and had resided all his life in Trinity. He was a member of the Dorcas Wills Baptist Church. He was retired from Southland Paper Mills. Survisors include his widow, Mrs. Blanche Dixon of Trinity; two sons, Robert DixonJr. of Sheppard, and Bill d. Dixon of Dodge; a daughter, Mrs. Kay Pressier of Huntsville. Dodson Omer Dexter Dodson, 8429 Sunrise Avenue, LaMesa, California, died at his home on Friday, May 31. He was buried in Greenwood Memorial Park after services in Greenwood Chapel with the Reverend G. Edward Garner, La Mesa United Methodist Church, officiating. Mr. Dodson operated a General Store for a number of years in the Waneta community, east of Grapeland. He was married to the former Lucille Morehead, who servives. Other survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Susan Osborn, two grandaughters, Wendy and Tracey Osborn, of Monrovia, California; a sister, Mrs. Marvin Davis of Chandler, Texas and father-in-law, Alvin B. Thursday, Jan. 12, 1957 Mrs. Lucy Mable Dolan Mrs. Lucy Mable Dolan, 85, of Rt. 2, Corkcett, died in a Crockett hospital Thurdsay, Jan. 5. Mrs. Dolan was born in Houston County Feb. 19, 1881. She was a member of the First Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday from the Callaway Memorial Chapel, with Rev. L. B. Broach, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial was in the Latexo Cemetery. Pallbearers were J.B. Coon, Raymond Hiroms, Charlie Snell, Joe Allee, Leroy Vaden and Jerry Green. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. W. G. Luce of Tilden, Mrs. Earl Lucas of Odessa and Mrs. Ray Stapp of Crockett; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; also several nieces and nephews. Thursday, June 30, 1966 Mrs. Minnie Dominy Funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Dominy, 77, of Grapeland, were held Thursdat, June 23, at 3 p.m. in the First Baptist Church of Grapeland with the Rev. J. T. Riley and James Mosley officiating. Burial was in the Liverville Cemetery, east of Grapeland. Pallbearers were Lewis Garrett, Otto Walling, Johnny Wilkins, E. W. Martin, Leland Herod and Hubert Brimberry. Mrs. Dominy, the former Miss Mineola Price, was born in Lovelady, on April 30, 1889, and was a daughter of the late Gus Price and Mrs. Laura Cooper Price. A member of the First Baptist Church of Grapeland, she was the widow of John Evrett Dominy, a long-time Houston County school teacher, who died November 21, 1962. She died Wednesday, June 22, at 8 a.m. at her home. Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Chester (Wilma) Cunningham of Grapeland; five granchildren; and five treat-grandchildren. Two sons, Clayton and Harold Cominy, preceded her in death. Arramgenents were by Hassell and Foster. Thursday, May 27, 1965 Jack Dowdy Dominy Mr. Jack Dowdy Dominy, 79, of Kennard, died early Wednesday morning in a local hospital. Mr. Dominy, who had lived in Houston County most of his life, was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the United Pentecostal Church in Kennard, with Reverends R. G. Davis and D. L. Merritt officiating. Buial will be in the Ivie Cemetery. Survivors include three sons, Clell Dominy of Oklahoma City, J. D. Dominy of Rusk and Charles Dominy of Centerville; five daughters, Mrs. Ethel Thames of Houston, Mrs. Katie Steed and Mrs. Jacqueline Smitherman, both of Kennard, Mrs. Ida Brasher of Groesbeck and Mrs. Louise Kelsy of Lufkin; a brother, Clarence Dominy of Pennington; sister, Mrs. Ida Baker of Kennard; 49 grandchildren; and 23 great grandchildren. Mr. Dominy, a roofing contractor, was born May 4, 1899, in Kennard. He was a member of the Soputh Main Baptist Church of Pasadena. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Satruday in the First Baptist Church of Kennard with Rev. Frank Oswald, pastor of the church, officiating. Burial was in the Ivie Cemetery, near Kennard. Pallbearers were Jerry S. Dominy, Marvin L. Dominy, Carl Shepherd, Rhett Butler, James Harrison and Danny Smith. Survivors include the wife, Mrs. Beulah Dominy of Pasadena; James M. Olive Methodist Church, with Sister Lola Lane, Rev. Frank Oswald and Rev. Ray Owens officiating. Burial was in the Corinth Cemetery. Dominy, 80, of Kennard, died Friday evening, May 14, in a Crockett nursing home, after a long illness. Mrs. Dominy was born April 8, 1891, in Houston County and had lived here her entire lifetime. She was a member of the Methodist Church. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saunday in the Callaway Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Frank Oswald officiating. Interment was in Corinth Cemetery at Kennard. Pallbearers were Herman Ainsworth, James Westbroo, Bobby Sam Harkins, Bobby Ray Currie, Charles Currie and John Neal Morgan. Surviviors include a son, Alton Dominy of Crockett; a daughter, Mrs. Audie Belle Hunziker of Pasadena; a brother, Joe Currie of Kennard; two sisters, Mrrs. Thursday, June 17, 1971 Ernest L. Dominy Mr. Ernest L. Dominy of 103 Ann Street, Crockett, died early Sunday morning in a local hospital. Born in Pennington, Texas, on Dec. 21, 1900, Mr. Dominy, age 70, had lived in this area all of his lifetime and was a retired school administrator. He was a member and decon of the First Baptist Church of Crockett and a veteran of World War II, having served in the U. S. Air Force. mr. Dominy was a member of all Crockett Masonic Bodies which include Lothrop Lodge #21, AF & AM; Trinity Chapter #4; Trinity Commandery #91. He was also a member of Hella Temple Shrine of Dallas. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Pauline Johnson Dominy of Crockett; a daughter, Mrs. Angie Dann Rodriquez of Pasadena; two brothers, Wesley Dominy of Groveton and Horace Dominy of Pennington; two sisters, Miss Velma Dominy of Pennington adn Mrs. Claudie Cyr of Indiana. Thursday, June 17, 1971 Terry Doyle Dominy Mr. Terry Doyle Dominy, 22, of Groveton died Saturday night in a Lufkin hospital, due to an automobile accident. Waller Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. Marion Quince Dominy Mr. Marion Quince Dominy, Sr., 84, passed away in Trinity Memorial Hospital Tuesday, Feb. 26. Quince, the sixth son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Daniel J. Dominy, was born at Pennington, Sept. 11, 1878, and spent his entire life at the Daniel J. Dominy home with the exception of two years spent in Tucumeari, New Mexico. He was married to Miss Nolia Holmes in 1911. To this union five chidren were born. His wife, Nolia, preceded him in death in 1958. Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 28, at 2:30 p.m. in the Pennington Baptist Church, with Rev. Gayle A. Hogg, pastor and Rev. J. T.
