Funeral services for Mrs. Belle Parish Smith, 92, of Call will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Trout Creek Baptist Church, The Rev. H.W. McDaniel, Baptist minister, will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery with Causey's E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in charge. She died at 11:50 p.m. Monday, May 10, 1971 in Buna Nursing Home after a long illness. A native of Shelby County she lived in the area for 30 years and was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors are 118 direct descendents; one daughter, Miss Evy Smith of Call; six sons, Henry Smith of San Augustine, Elmon Smith of Spurger, Johnny Smith of San Augustine, Elmon Smith of Spurger, Johnny Smith of Woodville, Lewis and Roy Smith, both of Call and Hoyt Smith of Silsbee; 28 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Erin Baptist Church with burial in Magnolia Springs Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E.E. Stringer Funeral Home. He was a lifelong resident of Erin. Survivors include his wife, Elzie Simpson Smith of Erin; three sons, Cecil “Pete” Smith of Jasper, Ted Smith of Kirbyville and Rickie Smith of Erin; three daughters, Dorothy Collier of Erin and Elsie Collier and Barbara Barnett, both of Magnolia Springs; two brothers, Vernon Smith of Erin and Jack Smith of Buffalo, Texas; one sister, Lola Holland of Buffalo; 13 grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

Danny Smith, 48, of Jasper died Dec. 6, 2000, at University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper with burial at Erin Cemetery in Erin. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A native and longtime resident of Erin, he was an ordained minister at Erin Missionary Baptist Church. Survivors include his mother, Myrtie Smith of Erin; wife, Terry Smith of Erin; son, Jonathan Daniel Smith of Erin; daughters, Amy Caryn Thomas of Lufkin and Emily Kate Smith of Erin; brother, David Cleveland Smith of Erin; sisters, Marian Collier of Vidor, Sally Morgan of Erin and Becky Patton of Centerville, Ga.; and two grandchildren.

Funeral services for David Duncan Smith, 70, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Bronson First Baptist Church. The Rev. Noel Hammock, pastor of the Centerview Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Bronson Cemetery under the direction of Causey's E.E. Stringer Funeral Home of Kirbyville. Nephews will be pallbearers. He died Wednesday morning, July 23, 1969 in the Buna Medical Hospital after a short illness. A native of Louisiana he lived in Bronson for many years and moved to the Kirbyville area about 30 years ago. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Arthur Van Pelt of Kirbyville; his mother Mrs. Vicki Smith of Jasper; six brothers, Sam Smith of Kirbyville, Monroe and John Smith of Bronson, Bud Smith of Lufkin, Morris Smith of New York City and Will Smith of Buna; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Deborah Webb Jacks Smith, 50, of Las Vegas died Nov. 30, 2000, at her residence. Cremation arrangements were handled by Davis Funeral Home in Las Vegas. A native of Jasper, she lived in Las Vegas eight years and was a retired beautician. Survivors include Lonnie Parker of Las Vegas; father, Charlie Webb of Jasper; sons, Gary Brandon "Bubba’’ Jacks of Las Vegas and Scott Aaron Jacks of Kirbyville; daughter, Dianna Lynn Jacks of Seattle, Wash.; brothers, Dale Webb and Danny Webb, both of Jasper; sister, Dianne Cansler of Jasper; and four grandchildren.

Stringer Funeral Home. A native of Brookeland, Texas, she had lived in Call 45 years. Survivors include her husband, Lester Smith of Call; a daughter, Bobbie Morgan of Call; a stepdaughter, Carolyn Williams of Diboll; a stepson, Lester Wayne Smith of Call; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.

He died at 4:05 a.m. Wednesday in Presbyterian Hospital in Albuquerque, New Mexico after an illness. A native of Magnolia Springs, Texas, he lived in Kirbyville most of his life, was a retired pipefitter with Local 195 and a World War II veteran. Survivors include his wife, Beatrice Smith of Kirbyville; one son, Milton Smith of Pasadena; one sister, Lula Hall of Magnolia Springs; two brothers, Clifton Smith of Vidor and Clinton Smith of Beaumont; and two grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Thursday to time of service at the funeral home. A lifelong resident of DeRidder, he was a retired Beauregard Parish City Police Department and City of DeRidder pretreatment coordinator and was a U.S. Navy veteran. Survivors include his wife, Jeanne M. Smith died at about 4 p.m. Sunday, January 2, 1972 in Newton County Memorial Hospital following a stroke at his home early Sunday morning.
