Wilkinson, Johnny J.
NEWTON – Funeral for Johnny J. Wilkinson, 85, of Pine Grove will be at 2 p.m. today at the Newton Church of Christ with burial in Wilkinson Cemetery under direction of Griner Funeral Home of Newton. He died at 4 a.m. Saturday, December 22, 1979 in St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur after an illness. A lifelong Newton resident, he was a retired farmer and stockman. Survivors include his wife, Stella Wilkinson of Pine Grove; two sons, G.W. Wilkinson of Buna and Henry Wilkinson of Newton; three daughters, Eula Glenn of Kirbyville, Johnnie Mae Murry of Pine Grove, and Octavine Gaudet of Beaumont; a brother, Joe Wilkinson of Pine Grove; seven grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Willett, Viola Lucille
Viola Lucille Willett, 82, of Newton died Jan. 27, 2001, at Beauregard Memorial Hospital in DeRidder, La. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at Calvary Baptist Church in Junction Community, La., with burial at Merryville Cemetery in Merryville, La., under the direction of Myers-Colonial Funeral Home in DeRidder. Visitation will continue at 9 a.m. today at the church. A native of Newton, she lived in the Junction/DeRidder area most of her life. Survivors include sons, Clyde R. Willett of Winnie and Jerry L. Willett of Spurger; daughter, Rae Frank of The Woodlands and Jennie Courtney of Oakwood; brothers, Nathan James of New Iberia, La., and Roy Willis of Pitkin, La.; sisters, Ruth Childress of Pineville, La., Leta Melder of Houston and Verda Lee Mana of Shreveport, La.; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren

Williams, Elaine Marie
Elaine Marie Williams, 38, of Hemphill died Monday from a grocery store-house fire in Yellowpine. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Starr Funeral Home in Hemphill with burial in Chapel Hill Cemetery in san Augustine County. A native of Rayne, La., she lived in Jasper before moving to Hemphill six years ago and was owner and operator of Williams Grocery Store. Survivors include her husband, Kaufman Williams of Hemphill; and sons, Jerry Reynolds Jr. and Kenneth Reynolds, both of Kirbyville.

Willett, Mamie
Mrs. Mamie Willett, 69, died Tuesday, August 14, 1973 in a San Antonio Hospital following a long illness. A native of Newton, and Weaver community, she had lived in San Antonio eight months. She is survived by her husband, Cecil Willett; one son, Capt. Buck O. Rountree, San Antonio; one sister, Mrs. Rosie Mae Hawthorne, Newton; two brothers, Earl Wigley, Newton; and Hamp Wigley, Cleveland; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Hazel Hogg, Orange; and one stepson, Marvin Willett, Beaumont. Funeral services were held Thursday, August 16, at Friendship Church, with the Rev. Tom Long officiating. Burial was in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Fuller Funeral Home of Orange.

Williams, Henry Dewey
Henry Dewey Williams, 83, of Kirbyville died Sunday, January 5, 1986 at Beaumont Medical Surgical Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home in Kirbyville with burial in Kirbyville Cemetery. A native of Slagle, La., he lived in Kirbyville 60 years and was a retired pipe fitter. Survivors include his wife, Lela Ruth Hubbard Williams of Kirbyville; a daughter, Henrietta Sheppard of Vidor; two sons, Don Williams of Vidor and Von Williams of Beaumont; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

Williams, Janice N.
Janice N. Ferguson Williams, 51, of Kirbyville died December 23, 1996 at St Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral services were held December 26 at Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper with burial at Zion Hill Cemetery. A native and lifelong resident of Roganville, she was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, Daughters of the Republic of Texas and a member of the Jasper Historical Society. Survivors include husband, Clarence Williams of Roganville; mother, Cora Mae Edie Erwin of Roganville; daughter, Tammy Nadine Powell of Roganville; sister, Sally Jo Gondolf of Roganville.

Williams, Jaron Andre’
Jaron Andre’ Williams, infant son of Jessica and Jeremy Williams of Bleakwood, died Jan. 10, 2001, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. today at Biloxi Evergreen Cemetery in Bon Wier under the direction of Robinson’s Community Funeral Home in Jasper. Survivors other than parents include his brother, Trajan Williams-Farr of Bon Wier; and grandparents, Ted J. Williams and Marva J. Williams of Silsbee and Napoleon L. Davis and Jessie B. Davis of Bon Wier.

ORANGE – Nona Bell Williams, 89, of Watson Chapel Community died Friday at John’s Nursing Home after an illness. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. today in Watson Chapel Cemetery under the direction of Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home. A native of Mississippi, she lived most of her life at Watson Chapel Community in Newton County. Survivors include two sons, Alton Williams of Orange and Steve Williams of Paducah, Ky.; one brother, Leslie Sanford of Jasper; four grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Williams, Ora Simmons
Ora Simmons Williams, 80, of Kirbyville died at 2 p.m. Thursday in a Beaumont hospital. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery. A native of Newton County, she had lived in Kirbyville 28 years. Survivors include one son, Walter Williams of Kirbyville; four daughters, Mrs. Herbert Simmons and Mrs. Elimas Karnes, both of Beaumont; Mrs. Hollis Marshall of Devers, and Mrs. Ben Robinson of Bronson; one brother, Macon Simmons of Buna, and one sister, Mrs. Bill Lewis of San Augustine.

Thurman O. Williams, 72, of Jasper died Dec. 11, 2000, at Christus St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont. Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Jasper with burial at Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Stringer & Griffin Funeral Home in Jasper. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at the funeral home. A lifelong resident of Jasper, he was a retired Gulf Welding Supply mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Eva Mae Williams of Jasper; son, Thurman Ray Williams of Jasper; daughters, Kay Powell of Jasper and Debbie Washenfelder of Nederland; brothers, Walter Williams and Toney Williams, both of Jasper, and Gene Autry Williams of Houston; sisters, Modell Miller of Jasper and Elaine Letney of Brookeland; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Lucille Howell Williamson, 84, of Roganville died Saturday, September 17, 1988 at Shady Acres Nursing Home in Newton. Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at Friendship Community Church in Roganville with burial in Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Forest Oaks Funeral Home in Jasper. A native of Merryville, La., she was a lifelong resident of Roganville. Survivors include sons, Dr. Jack Williamson of Beaumont and Billy Williamson of Jasper; daughter, Patsy Ruth Hada of Corpus Christi; brother, J.P. Howell of Coudersport, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Williford, Charlie L.
Funeral Services for Charlie L. Williford, 90, of Silsbee will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Farmer Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. R.E. Barklay, pastor of the First Baptist Church, assisted by the Rev. B. Carlin, pastor of the First Baptist Church of Buna will officiate. Burial will be in the Hooks Cemetery in Kountze. Pallbearers will be Robert and Paul Neyland, Cecil Cobbie, Don Allums, Harmon Wethersby and George Bellenger. Williford died at 9:40 p.m. Monday, September 21, 1970 in the Buna Medical Center after a long illness. He was a native of Kountze and had lived in Silsbee for the past 40 years. He was a butcher with the Neyland Grocery Store and the J.N. Collier Co. and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Silsbee. Surviving are two sons, E.L. Williford of Beaumont and Revis Williford of Houston; one brother, Ebb Williford of Kountze and five grandchildren.

Loleta Williford, 68, of Kirbyville died Aug. 16, 2001, in Jasper. Funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Pace Funeral Home in Livingston with burial at Big Sandy Cemetery in Livingston. She lived in Kirbyville many years and worked for Newton Independent School District. Survivors include her son, Patrick Williford of Silsbee; daughter, Peggy Vaughan of Lufkin; sisters, Lela Herrington of Newton, Drucilla Nichols of Kirbyville, Joyce Dewbre of Kemp and Barbara Grubbs of Fort Worth; brothers, Willie Jarrell of Lufkin, Delbert Jarrell of Vidor; one grandson; one granddaughter; and two great-granddaughters.

KIRBYVILLE – Funeral for Minnie Elizabeth Williford, 77, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home with burial at 3:30 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont. She died at 10 p.m. Sunday at Buna Medical Center. A native of Tyler County, she lived in Beaumont many years and was a retired stenographer for the Josey-Miller Co. and the Armour Packing Co. She had lived in Kirbyville since 1958. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Mrs. F.W. Williford of Kirbyville, and a niece, Mrs. D.M. Singleton of Fort Worth.

Williford, Oscar Lee
Funeral services for Oscar Lee Williford, 89, of Kirbyville will be at 1:00 p.m. today in Causey’s E.E. Stringer Funeral Home. Graveside Masonic rites will be at 3:00 p.m. today in Magnolia Cemetery, Beaumont. Williford died at 9:00 p.m. Thursday, May 24, 1973 in a Buna Hospital. He was a native of Kountze and a retired Mobil Oil worker. Survivors include one sister, Miss Minnie Williford, Buna.

Willett, Mixson J.
KIRBYVILLE – Funeral for Mixson J. Willett, 73, of Port Arthur will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Causey E.E. Stringer Funeral Home with burial in Wilkinson Cemetery in Newton County. He died at 2:45 a.m. Saturday, December 29, 1979 at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur after an illness. A native of Newton County, he lived in Port Arthur 35 years and was a retired machinist for Texaco. Survivors include a son, Ray Willett of Orange; a sister, Mary Ella Phillips of Kirbyville; and five grandchildren.
