REVEREND WILLIAM "BILL" MOSLEY

Pastor Mosely and his wife, Sister Rita Mosley, stepped out in faith and made the decision to become pastor at Revival Time back in 1993. Pastor Mosley loved Burleson. He often said what a wonderful community this was. The church started with only a couple of members and grew to 50. It was Pastor Mosley's dream to move his growing church family into a new home to worship the Lord. Their new church building plans and location were just approved last week. His church family and wife will carry on his vision for Revival Time, and the church will be built in memory of this kind, compassionate man. Pastor Bill Mosley is survived by his wife, Sister Rita Mosley; numerous children and grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. As the pastor once said, "A cry to the cross, a tear with prayer. A heavy heart, burdens to bear. Lay all at the feet of Jesus and let your troubles roll away." Pastor Bill Mosley will be greatly missed by many. His presence here on earth may be gone, but his love for all and his faith in God will be eternally passed on.

ETHEL NOE

Funeral services for Ethel Noe, 89, of Burleson were held Monday, October 23 at Burleson Memorial Chapel. Dr. Craig Vire officiated. Burial was at Bethesda Cemetery. Mrs. Noe died Wednesday, October 18, 2000, at her home. She was a retired cafeteria worker for Burleson I.S.D. She was born February 21, 1911, in Hico, Texas.
The following article was published in the Burleson Star in February, 1973. "CAFETERIA WORKER SERVES 'LAST MEAL'
They haven't started a breakfast program in the Burleson schools yet, but Mrs. Ethel Noe has been serving meals 'sunny side up' in the schools for 20 years - long enough to have included several generations of Burleson youngsters. It's not eggs that Mrs. Noe serves on the sunny side, but the ready smile that she never seemed to run out of, not even during the third lunch period of the day. Mrs. Noe was recently honored in a ceremony at the high school on the occasion of her retirement after 20 years in the Burleson school system. That same day during an assembly, she was recognized for her years of service and presented a plaque by Supt. of Schools, Bill Stribling. It is characteristic of the wide range of people with whom she was associated, that she was not only praised by principals and the school superintendent but was also given a standing ovation by the high school students. 'I first started working in the cafeteria at Nola Dunn when it was the only school in town,' she noted, 'and I can't tell a lot of difference in kids back then and kids now.' 'Their hair and dress styles might have changed some,' she added, 'but the same thing could be said about adults as well.' She started working at the school cafeterias in 1945, but did not work consecutively until 1958. She recalls that a plate lunch sold for .18 cents her first year on the job. 'We got almost more government commodities than we knew what to do with back then,' she said. 'They don't have as many to work with now, but the cafeteria ladies still make everything from scratch,' she added. 'There hasn't been a great deal of difference in the food,' she mused, 'nor the kids that eat it. They'd still just about as soon have a peanut butter and jelly sandwich as anything.' If anyone should know about the long range eating habits of Burleson students, Mrs. Noe should. She has worked in every school cafeteria in Burleson, except Mound. Many Burleson businessmen have eaten food prepared and served by Mrs. Noe back when they were in school. 'I served them a lot of Lima beans,' she said. 'Since some of them seem to be pretty smart now, I guess lima beans must be good brain food.' She recalled a first grader at Frazier a few years ago that she was trying to convince that cherry cobbler was just as good as regular cherry pie. 'This was George Washington's favorite,' she told the little boy. 'Did you cook for him?' he asked. If she had it might have explained why he cut the cherry tree down - he was simply trying to gather cherries for her to make him another cherry cobbler." Mrs. Noe is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy and Patsy Dunn; grandchildren, Donna and Alton; four great-grandchildren; sisters, Mattie McMurtrey and Ann Reedy; many nieces and nephews. Laurel Land Funeral Home of Burleson handled the arrangements.
