Visitation will be held from 5 pm to 9 pm, Sunday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Chris was born October 6, 1971, at the Gulf Coast Hospital in Baytown to parents; C.T. 'Butch' Joseph, III and Mary Ellen Thomas Joseph, and has resided in the Cove area throughout his lifetime. He was an operator in construction, member of the First Baptist Church of Mont Belvieu, graduate of the Barbers Hill High School Class of 1990, and enjoyed hunting, fishing, scuba diving, and farming. Mr. Joseph was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother: Lola Joseph. survivors include his wife of six years: Cristi Martin Joseph, daughter: Emily L. Joseph, parents: C.T. Mark McMillan, 49, of Cleveland passed away Monday, April 9, 2001 at his residence. He was born in Galveston, had previously lived in Deer Park for three years before moving to Cleveland one year ago and was a U. S. Army Veteran. Services will be held at 10:00 am, Thursday, April 12, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Rev. Denis McMillan and Mr. Larry McMillan officiating. Burial will follow at the Plum Grover Cemetery in Plum Grover under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Otis Perry Cessna, 77, of Hardin, died Sunday, August 19, 2001, at the Liberty-Dayton Hospital in Liberty. Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, August 22, 2001, at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel with burial following at Hardin Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Tuesday, at the funeral Home. Services are under the direction of Allison Funeral Service in Liberty. Otis was born in Hardin to parents; John H. Cessna and Mary Vanya Cessna, and resided in the Hardin area throughout his lifetime. He was a retired pumper of Pointer Oil of Liberty after 16 years of service, a veteran of the US Army with service during World War II, previous employee of Humble Oil & Exxon from 1947 to 1959, owner and operator of Hardin Grocery from 1960-1971, Mayor of Hardin in 1973, City Councilman of Hardin for numerous years, member of the Hardin Baptist Church, and graduate of the Hardin High School Class of 1941. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, and politics. Mr. Cessna was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Jackie Patrick Cessna, and numerous brothers and sisters. Survivors include his tow sons: Randy Cessna and wife Mary of Hardin and Troy Cessna and wife Sandy of San Antonio, three grandchildren: Perry Allen Cessna of Hardin, Kelli Rene Cessna of Hardin, and Corbin Cessna of San Antonio, brother: Vernon Cessna of San Antonio, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Lela Mae Boles, 69, of Cleveland, died Saturday, August 18, 2001 at the Conroe Medical Center Hospital in Conroe. She was a native of Fostoria, a longtime resident of the Cleveland Area and was a retired Postal Clerk. Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Monday, August 20, 2001 at the Pin Oak Cemetery in Cleveland under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. She is survived by her Husband J. W. Boles of Cleveland; Son Wade Boles and his wife Karen Marie of Cleveland; Daughters: Linda Boles of Conroe and Lesa Boles Payne and her husband Jim of Cleveland; Sister: Betty Enloe and her husband Errie of Batson; 8 Grandchildren and 6 Great-Grandchildren. Harriet Goddard Jones, 77 of Liberty, died Saturday, August 11, 2001 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown. Funeral services will be 9:30 AM, Thursday, August 16, 2001 at The First Baptist church of Liberty. Interment will be at 4:00 PM in Rosemound Cemetery in Waco, Texas. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 15, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at Sterling Funeral Home in Dayton. Mrs. Jones had lived in the Liberty area for 18 years. She was a homemaker and a member of The First Baptist Church of Liberty. She enjoyed genealogy, gardening, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, David F. and Mabel Goodard; sister Mae Richards; brothers Dave Goddard and Edward Goddard. She is survived by her husband, Eugene "Ike" Jones of Liberty, daughters Janet Jones Lockhart of Johnson City, TX, Linda Ann Neal of Macon, GA, Karen Jones Crawford of Liberty, TX, son David Jones of Orangefield, TX, brother Dr. Chauncey Goddard of Bastrop, TX, seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous other nieces and nephews.

April Racki Townsend, 43, of Liberty, died Thursday, August 9, 2001, at Hermann Hospital in Houston. Funeral services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, August 13, 2001, at the Allison Funeral Service Chapel with Father Frank Paduch officiating and burial following at the Liberty Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Sunday with a Rosary service at 7 PM, at the funeral home. April was born May 2, 1958 in Liberty to parents; Raymond D. Racki and Sally Walters Racki, native of Liberty; she has also resided in Rye and Lufkin. She was a homemaker, graduate of the Hardin High School class of 1976, had attended Stephen F. Austin University, and was Catholic by faith. April also enjoyed art, swimming, nature, reading and especially spending time with her children. Mrs. Racki Townsend was preceded in death by her father: Raymond Racki, daughter: Cara Rose Townsend, and grandparents: Alton Walters, P. A. 'Pete' Racki, and Gertrude Racki. Bill was born April 30, 1930 in Nashville, Arkansas, to parents: Charles G. Hicks and Ruby Mae Jackson Hicks, as has resided in the Dayton area since 1955. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, a retired foreman for Brown and Root Marine at Greens Bayou after 22-1/2 years of service, a veteran of the US Army with service during the Korean Conflict and enjoyed playing golf and helping others. Mr. Hicks was preceded in death by his parents and wife: Yvonne Tabb Hicks. Survivors include his daughter: Bernice Rowland and husband Doug of Huffman, sons: William C. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Louise was born October 7, 1912 in Beaumont to parents; Walter J. Thiac and Lilly M. Montz Thiac, a former resident of the Dayton-Liberty area; she has resided in the Anahuac area for the past 54 years. She was a homemaker, member of the First United Methodist Church in Anahuac, graduate of St. Anthonyճ High School class of 1930 in Beaumont, and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and playing 88 and golf. Gnell Parish, 87, of Dayton, passed away August 5, 2001 in Houston after a lengthy illness. A native of Mart, Texas she had lived in Dayton for the past several years after moving from Livingston. She was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church. Services will be held at 1:00 PM, Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mike Blackburn officiating. Graveside services will follow at 3:30 PM at Camp Ruby Cemetery in Livingston. Mrs. Parish is survived by four sons: Gene Earl Parish of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Boyd Allen Parish of Lumberton, Jerry Dan Parish of Spring and Gary Don Parish of Dayton; One daughter, Joy Drusckhe of Brenham: One brother, Odell Williams of Gainsville; Grandchildren: Jimmy Drusckhe of San Antonio; Angie and Stephen Parish of Lumberton. Joseph H. 'Jack' Adams, 77, of Liberty, died Monday, July 30, 2001, at the Liberty-Dayton Hospital in Liberty. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, August 2, 2001, at Woodlawn Garden of Memories in Houston with Dr. Bill Newcomb officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Wednesday, at Allison Funeral Service in Liberty. Honorary pallbearers will be his golf buddies. Jack was born January 14, 1924 in Dayton, to parents; George Adams and Lillian Weaver Adams, a former resident of Florida and Houston; he has resided in the Liberty area for the past 16 years. He was a retired Personnel Manager for Lonestar Industries in Houston with 40 years of service, member of the First United Methodist Church of Liberty and Men's Bible Class, Liberty Elk's Lodge, Vice President of the Pioneer Class of Dayton High School, board member and volunteer for the American Cancer Society, graduate of the Dayton High School class of 1941, graduate of the University of Houston with a Bachelor's degree in Business administration, and veteran of the US Navy with service during WW II. Jack also enjoyed playing golf at the Magnolia Ridge Country Club. Mr. Adams was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Raymond, Clare, Weaver, and Fagen Adams, and sister: Beneva Adams. Bobbie Fregia, 68, of Hardin, died Sunday in a Beaumont Hospital. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Wednesday at North Main Baptist Church in Liberty. Interment will follow at Hardin Chapel Cemetery in Hardin under the direction of Allison Funeral Service in Liberty. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM Р9:00 PM Tuesday at the church. Mr. Fregia was a native and lifelong resident of Hardin. He spent most of his life as an operator in the oil and gas industry. He was active in the rodeo in his younger days where he rode bulls and horses. He also loved swimming in the local rivers. His parents, George and Lula Fregia, his brothers, A. C., J. D., J. B. and Woody Fregia, his sister Dolly Fregia, his daughter Rhonda Fregia and his son Bobby George Fregia, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife, Zelma Elaine Fregia of Hardin, his sons, Elbert Fregia of Daisetta, Robby Fregia of Hardin, his sister Molly Rives of Hardin, his brothers Buddy Fregia of Moss Hill, George Ervin Fregia of Hardin and Merele Fregia of Hardin.

She was a native of Paris, Texas, a longtime resident of Cleveland and was a loyal, longtime employee of the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home. Powell
Hubert Clifford Papa Powell, 74, of Hardin died July 27, 2001. He was born April 30, 1927 in Kirbyville, TX to James and Nettie Powell. Cliff retired from the City of Liberty in 1993 after 17 years of service as the City Street Superintendent. He proudly served in the Navy during WW II, and was a member of the Hull Masonic Lodge. Cliff who was also known n as Papa, enjoyed woodworking, where he was known for his miniature dog houses and bird houses. He also enjoyed, camping, traveling with wife Patti, their children and grandchildren, watching Wheel of Fortune or playing 42 with his family or friends. Papa s biggest joy was spending time with his family especially his grandchildren. Cliff is preceded in death by his parents, seven brothers and sisters. Cliff is survived by his wife of 25 years; Patty Powell of Hardin, three daughters; Dana Abshier and Husband Robert Schaadt of Liberty, Amy McHenry and husband Tim of Round Rock, Lanelle Jolley of Cedar Creek, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Carl Land, Jr. 82, of Anahuac, died Monday, July 23, 2001, at the Arboretum Nursing Home in Winnie. Graveside services will be held at 10 AM, Monday, July 30, 2001, at the Eminence Cemetery in Wallisville with Masonic Right of Burial. Pallbearers will be Mike Land, Danny Land, Forest Land, Taylor Waits, Roland Gresham, and Donny Waits, Jr., and honorary pallbearers Edward Mack and Ronald Gresham. Carl was born August 9, 1918 in Galveston, to parents: Carl Land, Sr. and Estell Wentzel Land, and has resided in the Anahuac area throughout his life. He retired as a pipe fitter from A. J. Mundy in Pasadena, a member of the First Baptist Church of Anahuac, Anahuac Masonic Lodge #995 AF&AM, the Houston Scottish Rite, the Houston Shrine, and a veteran of the US Army with service during WWII He enjoyed fishing, hunting visiting with friends and travel. Mr. Land was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Marie Land, and one son: Kenneth W. Land. Survivors include his son: Leo Land and wife Alma of Devers, daughters: Deborah S. He was a native of Kemp, Texas, had lived in the Brazoria County area since 1967, was a Carpenter for over 30 years in Local #1084 holding the office of President for 15 of those years, a U.S. Air Force Veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the V.F.W Post #4133 in Trinidad, Texas. She was a graduate of the West Campus High School Class of 1981, graduate of Lee College Class of 1994 where she obtained her L.V.N., attended the First Baptist Church of Moss Hill and was presently employed by the University of Texas Medical Branch for the Texas Department of Corrections in Dayton with five years of service. She enjoyed computers, basketball and specially spending time with her son. Mrs. Lyrock was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather: J. C. Frye, and her maternal grandfather: John Fields. Price White, 59, of Dayton, died Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at the Liberty-Dayton Hospital in Liberty. He was born in Houston, was a longtime resident of Dayton and a retired Supervisor with Exxon after 32 years of service. Services will be held at 10 AM, Friday, July 27, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home Chapel in Dayton with Dr. Jimmie Clemmons officiating. Burial will follow at the Magnolia Park Cemetery in Dayton under the direction of Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton. Jose Gerardo Lule Lopez, 44, of Liberty, Texas died Friday, July 20, 2001 in Oak Island, Texas. Burial will follow at San Jose Cemetery in Moncado, Guanajuato (Mexico). A native of Charco Largo, Guanajuato, he had lived in Liberty for over twenty-nine years. He was a truck driver for Triangle Petroleum Services. James Howard Jimmy Reily, 39, of Daisetta, died Saturday, July 21, 2001 in Liberty, Texas.Visitation will be Monday, July 23, 2001 from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the funeral home. Jenson
Eugene Truman Jenson, 79, of Anahuac, died Sunday, July 22, 2001, at the Baycoast Medical Center in Baytown. Funeral services will be held at 2 PM, Wednesday, July 25, 2001, at the First United Methodist Church in Anahuac with Rev. Wayne Hargraves officiating and burial following at Anahuac Cemetery in Anahuac. Visitation will be held from 5 PM to 9 PM, Tuesday at the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Sterling Funeral Home in Anahuac. Eugene was born September 12, 1921 in Fairy, TX. to parents; J. Justin Jenson and Helen Rohne Jenson, a former resident of Winnie, Crosby and Barbers Hill, he has resided in the Anahuac area since the late 1940's. He was a retired Attorney for Chambers County after serving for 34 years, a veteran of the US Navy with service during WW II, graduate of the Barbers High School class of 1939 and attended the University of Houston, Lee College and the South Texas School of Law, member of the First United Methodist Church of Anahuac, American Legion, Lions Club and the Texas State Bar Association. He enjoyed reading, travel, helping others, and also was a steer wrestler in his younger years. Mr. Jenson was preceded in death by his parents, wife: Dorothy Jenson, and brother: Myron Jenson. Survivor include his sister: Junelle Jenson Kubik and husband William of Baytown, sister-in-law: Jackie Jenson of Baytown, special friend and caretaker: Linda Smith of Anahuac, and numerous other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mitchell
Services for Mrs. Flora Lee Mitchell, 78 of Dayton will be held at 10:00 AM, Thursday, July 26, 2001 at the Pace-Stancil Funeral Home in Dayton with Rev. Charles Pierce officiating. Interment will follow at Linney Cemetery. Pallbearers are Richard Burge, Sonny Faulk, Jim McGahey, Glen David Hale, Frenchie Pare, Calvin Westscott and Lester Ray Wisegerber. Honorary pallbearers are the Dayton Pioneer Student Association. Mrs. Mitchell died Saturday, July 21, 2001 after a lengthy illness. She was born January 10, 1923 to parents Glery (Bo) Wood and Rosa Lee Griffin Wood in Dayton. She was a long time resident of Dayton, a member of the Church of Christ, and the Dayton Pioneer Student Association. She was retired from the Telephone Company where she had worked as a business agent. Preceded in death by her husband Edwin D. "Speedy" Mitchell, she is survived by her son Edwin D. Mitchell, II of Dayton: Brothers: Bo Wood of Houston, John Wood of Grangerland, and Clint Wood of Grangerland; Sisters: Ila Mae Threlkeld of Kingwood and Jimmie Stearns of Grangerland; Two Grandchildren; John D. Mitchell and Kathy F. Mahdoubi. Louise Hicks, 71, of New Caney died Wednesday, July 18, 2001 at her residence. Mrs. Hicks was born in Batson, Texas and lived most of her life in Beaumont. She was fondly known by all as "Granny" and had worked as a nurseճ aide. Her services will be 11:00 AM, Friday, July 20, 2001 at Pace-Stancil funeral Home in Dayton with the Rev. Ray Morris officiating. Burial will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson. She was preceded in death by her Parents: Ben Storey and Beatrice Fabriguze Storey, her Brothers: Riley, James and Roy Johnson, and her Daughter: Edna Louise Gibson: and two Grandchildren: Kimberly Michelle Thibodeaux and James D. LeJune. She is survived by her man and best friend of 16 years: Arvis Wayne Diehl of New Caney; Sons: Ernest Ray Henson of Tulsa, OK, Edwin Lawrence Henson of Mineral Springs, AK; Daughters: Mary J.
