Faye L. Medlinger
Faye L. Medlinger, 87, of Wichita Falls died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, in a local retirement complex.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home with the Rev. Rick Thompson, pastor of Colonial Baptist Church, and the Rev. Melvin Bradley, chaplain of Rolling Meadows Retirement Complex, officiating. Burial will be in Waurika Cemetery.
Mrs. Medlinger was born Oct. 8, 1910, in Konawa, Okla. Her husband, F.G. Medlinger, died July 4, 1982. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Wichita Falls since 1984, coming from Hastings, Okla. She was a member of the Home Demonstration Club and the Delphian Club in Hastings, Okla. She was a member of Colonial Baptist Church of Wichita Falls.
Survivors include two daughters, Velva Allison of North Richland Hills, Texas, and Genita Rivkin of Wichita Falls; two sons, Rick L. of Hastings and Robert of Wichita Falls; a sister, Agnes Bray of Tonkawa, Okla.; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home from 7-8 p.m. today.
Memorials may be made to the Colonial Baptist Church Building Fund.

H.H. 'Pug' Skinner
H.H. "Pug" Skinner, 85, of Wichita Falls died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, at a local hospital.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Friday in Charlie, Texas, Cemetery with the Rev. Gerald Bryant of First Pentecostal Church of God officiating. Arrangements under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Downtown Funeral Home.
Mr. Skinner was born July 8, 1913, at Comanche, Texas. He and Lula Mae Hay were married Aug. 22, 1937, in Walters, Okla. He was an oil filed worker and retired in 1988 after 50 years of work. His son, Jimmy Ross Skinner, died in 1971.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Harlen Ray Skinner of Burkburnett; a daughter, Cherry Kramer of Wichita Falls; a brother, O.D. Skinner of Wichita Falls; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Doris L. Horn Richnow
ARCHER CITY, Texas - Doris Lee Horn Richnow, 58, of Austin died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, in an Austin hospital.
A rosary will be said 7 p.m. today at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Windthorst, Texas. Funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. David Kraeger, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Cemetery in Windthorst under the direction of Aulds Funeral Home.
Mrs. Richnow was born Aug. 4, 1940, in Muenster, Texas, and moved to Windthorst in 1951. She was a former resident of Lufkin, Texas, from 1968 until early 1980s when she moved to Austin. She was a manager of a self-storage facility at Austin for 12 years and retired in the spring of 1998. She was a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Shick of Santee, Calif., and Terry Jon "T.J." Shick of Tyler, Texas; two daughters, Debbie Kammerer of San Angelo, Texas, and Deanna Shick of Austin; her mother, Louise Horn of Windthorst, Texas; two sisters, Florene Dillingham of DeSoto, Texas, and Shirley Vieth of Windthorst; a brother, Jerry Horn of Windthorst; and two grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Windthorst Independent School District Library Fund, P.O. Box 190, Windthorst, Texas 76389.

Fern E. Moody
HOUSTON - Fern E. Moody, 91, died Sunday, Sept. 27, 1998.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Crestview Memorial Park. Arrangements are under the direction of American Heritage Funeral Home.
Mrs. Moody was born July 27, 1907. She was a longtime resident of Wichita Falls. Her husband, Bethel, died in 1966. She worked in the County Clerk's office for a period of the time. In 1979 she was named "Woman of the Year" for her efforts and work toward helping the blind from the Beacon Lighthouse Social Club.
Survivors include a daughter, Ann Biggs of Houston; two grandsons; and three great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Margaret Jackson
GRANDFIELD, Okla. - Margaret Jackson, 73, died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, in a Lawton, Okla. hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Grandfield with the Rev. Sherrell Brooks of Lawton, the Rev. D.P. Williams, pastor of Eastside Baptist Church in Wichita Falls, and the Rev. Samuel Mitchell of Frederick, Okla., officiating. Burial will be in the Grandfield Cemetery under the direction of Gray Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jackson was born March 13, 1925, in Grandfield. She was a member of the Rising Star Baptist Church in Grandfield. Survivors include her husband, Lee Martin of the home; a son, Louis Rollins of Corsicana, Texas; five sisters, Mattie Brown, Lois James and Betty Becerra, all of Grandfield, and Cynthia Harris and Opal Kelly, both of Dallas.
Sue Carol Edmondson
VERNON, Texas - Sue Carol Edmondson, 65, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, in an Electra hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Monday in the Eastview Cemetery with the Rev. Jack Gilliland, pastor of Second Baptist Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Community Funeral Home.
Mrs. Edmondson was born April 14, 1933, in Whitesboro, Texas. She and Billy Charles Edmondson were married Nov. 11, 1950. He died Aug. 9, 1993. She was a homemaker and a licensed vocational nurse in Dallas. She was a longtime resident of Wichita County. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include three sons, Danny, Ronny and Jerry, all of Wichita Falls; two daughters, Polly Brown of Wichita Falls and Patsy Sue Nava of Vernon; a sister, Mrs. Jimmy Holt of Whitesboro, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
The family will be at the funeral home Sunday evening from 7-8 for visitation. Family may be contacted in Vernon at 2124 Cumberland.

Ramona Taylor Evans
SPRINGTOWN, Texas - Ramona Taylor Evans, 68, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, in her Azle, Texas, residence.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at White's Funeral Chapel in Springtown. Burial will be in the Jaybird Cemetery in Parker County, Texas.
Mrs. Evans was born Feb. 10, 1930, in Petrolia, Texas. She had lived in the LaJunta and Azle area for the last 37 years. She worked as a teacher's aide in Fort Worth, Briar and Azle schools. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star in Azle. She was a 1946 graduate of Petrolia High School. She was a Protestant.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Larkin Evans of Azle, Texas; a son, Lance of Azle; a daughter, Jackie Fox of Agnes, Texas; a brother, Alvin Taylor of Wichita Falls; four sisters, Edna McDaniel, Doris Walter, Verna White and Jean Massie, all of Wichita Falls; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.

Lola Bell Fant Boyd
THROCKMORTON, Texas - Lola Bell Meador Fant Boyd, 90, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, in a Throckmorton nursing home.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Merriman-Archer Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Troy Culpepper officiating. Burial will be in Throckmorton Cemetery.
Mrs. Boyd was born June 24, 1908, in Throckmorton County. She and Cecil Fant were married Oct. 30, 1927. He died Oct. 18, 1976. She and E.B. Boyd were married in 1979. He died in 1990. She moved from Throckmorton in 1979 to Dalhart, Texas. She returned to Throckmorton in 1990. She was a salesclerk for F.W. Woolworth for several years. She was a Baptist.
Survivors include a daughter, Nancy M. Lawrence of Clinton, Maryland; and a grandson.

Ruth Anna McBroom
FORT WORTH - Ruth Anna McBroom, infant daughter of Ben and Lynn McBroom, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in a Fort Worth hospital.
Graveside services will be at 4 p.m. today in Greenwood Memorial Park with Dr. Wm M. Longsworth officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Thompson's Harveson & Cole.
Miss McBroom was born Oct. 8, 1998, in Fort Worth.
Survivors include her parents; her grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Robert L. McBroom of Wichita Falls and Mr. & Mrs. Steve Oden of Texarkana; and her great-grandmother, Marie Oden of Alanta, Texas.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, Children's Ministry, 800 W. 5th Street, Fort Worth 76102.

Clara Jessup
BOWIE, Texas - Clara Jessup, 77, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, at her residence in Ringgold, Texas.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burgess-Fry-Owens-Brumley Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jessup was born April 16, 1921, in Hillsville, Penn. Her husband, John Edward Jessup, died in 1961. She was a cook for General Motors and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Lodge and the Moose Lodge, both in Arlington, Texas. She was also a member of the United Auto Workers. She was a resident of Arlington for 56 years before moving to Ringgold two years ago. A great-grandson, Timothy Freeman, died in 1994.
Survivors include two daughters, Darlene Freeman of Hawkins, Texas, and Mary Blackburn of Arlington, Texas; four grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made in Memory of Clara Jessup, P.O. Box 300502, Arlington, Texas 76010.

Charles E. Vaughn
Retired Maj. Charles "Charlie" E. Vaughn, 79, of Wichita Falls died Monday, Oct. 5, 1998, in his residence.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel with Dr. Robert Allen, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial with full military graveside rites conducted by Sheppard Air Force Base will be in the Crestview Memorial Park.
Mr. Vaughn was born Oct. 16, 1918, in Nebraska City, Neb. His wife, Veda Vaughn, died June 19, 1979. He was a major in the Air Force and served in World War II and the Korean War. He was manager of Airo Club at Sheppard Air Force Base. He was a member of the Elks Club and Order of Daedalians National Fraternity of Military Pilots.
Survivors include three sons, O. Wyatt Fisher of Weatherford, Texas, Joe B. Fisher of Colleyville, Texas, and the Rev. McAllister "Mac" Vaughn of College Station, Texas; a sister, Mildred Shriner of Lincoln, Neb.; 11 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mozelle Goforth
OLNEY, Texas - Mozelle Goforth, 81, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in an Olney hospital.
Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in Dundee, Texas, Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Stone of Wichita Falls officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Lunn Funeral Home of Olney.
Mrs. Goforth was born July 18, 1917, in Springcreek, Texas. She and O.B. Goforth were married in May 1934. He died in 1969. She was a homemaker and a member of the Baptist Church. She had been a resident of Olney for one year and had lived in Holliday, Texas, most of her life. A daughter, Donna Faye Goforth, died in 1991. A son, Jerry Goforth, died in 1978.
Survivors include a daughter, Jo Dunagan of Fort Worth; a son, Wendell Goforth of Holliday; a brother, Sealy Lindley of Benbrook, Texas; two grandsons; and three great-granddaughters.

Perry Horn
LUBBOCK, Texas - Perry Horn, 73, of Olney died Tuesday, Oct. 7, 1998.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Philip H. Demerto officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
Mr. Horn was born Nov. 27, 1924, in Lamesa, Texas. His wife, Dorothy Mae, died in 1974.
Survivors include two daughters, Candace Fletcher of Ransom Canyon, Texas, and Mickie Criag of Olney, Texas; two sons, Perry Jr. of San Angelo, Texas, and Jay of Midland, Texas; a sister, Gwen Horn of Sante Fe, NM.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

David Beal Puckett
SEBASTOPOL, Calif. - David Beal Puckett, 56, died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, in his residence.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in Sebastopol Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mr. Pucket was born Sept. 9, 1942, in Enid, Okla. He was self-employed.
Survivors include his mother, Juanita Lyon of Byers, Texas; a sister, Delnita Bray of Byers; and a brother, Doug Lyon of Waco, Texas.

Mary Tom Rusk
Mary Tom Rusk, 79, of Wichita Falls died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, in her residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Riverside Cemetery with Dr. Kipp Wolfe, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel.
Mrs. Rusk was born June 26, 1919, in Wichita Falls. She and Marshall M. Rusk were married June 20, 1936, in Wichita Falls. She was the bookkeeper for Communication Service Company of Wichita Falls. She was a lifelong resident of Wichita Falls and was a member and had held all offices of the Optimist Misses Club. She was also a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband of Wichita Falls; a son, Bobby Rusk of Weatherford, Texas; a half brother, G.W. Fuqua of Weatherford; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Tommy L. Latimer Jr.
BENJAMIN, Texas - Tommy Lloyd Latimer Jr., 50, died Tuesday, Oct. 6, 1998, in a Wichita Falls hospital.
Services will be at 3 p.m. today at the Benjamin Methodist Church with the Rev. Ken Follis officiating. Burial will be in Benjamin Cemetery under the direction of McCauley-Smith Funeral Home in Munday.
Mr. Latimer was born July 16, 1948, in Knox City, Texas. He was a veteran of the Navy and was a Vietnam War veteran. He was a flight engineer and was formerly of Knox City and Benjamin. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
Survivors include his mother, Betty Mancille of Benjamin; three sons, Greg, Troy and Tommy III, all of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, Jimmy Mancille of Austin.

Dorcas Reed Griswell
Dorcas Reed Griswell, 79, of Wichita Falls died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in a local hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Jerry Reed, pastor of Liberty Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery in Iowa Park under the direction of Hampton Vaughan Crestview Chapel.
Mrs. Griswell was born May 29, 1919, in Burkburnett. She was a bookkeeper. Her husband, Leon Reed, died in 1979. She had been a resident of Wichita Falls for 14 years. She graduated from Iowa Park High School. She was a past worthy matron of the Bluegrove Chapel of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jerry Reed of Wichita Falls; a daughter, Palmiera Williamson of Georgetown, Texas; a brother, Miles Thompson of Iowa Park; two sisters, Marguerita Stacy of Pottsboro, Texas, and Carmelita Nelson of Midland, Texas; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church.

Mary Askew
HENRIETTA, Texas - Mary Askew, 83, of Wichita Falls died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, in her residence.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Rock Cemetery in Granite, Okla., with the Rev. Gene Herendon, Assembly of God minister, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Davis Funeral Home.
Mrs. Askew was born Oct. 27, 1914, in Mangum, Okla. She and Isom Askew were married May 10, 1936, in Mangum, Okla. He died Feb. 5, 1993. She was a homemaker and a member of the Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Betty Pickering of Wichita Falls; a son, Bennie Askew of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Margaret Sullivan and Faye Joe Haynes both of Granite; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Oleta Bolles
BANDERA, Texas - Oleta Bolles, 78, of Bandera died Wednesday, Oct. 7, 1998, at a San Antonio hospital.
Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Grimes Funeral Chapel in Bandera with the Rev. James Ennis officiating. Burial will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in Crestview Memorial Park in Wichita Falls.
Mrs. Bolles was born Feb. 19, 1920, at Illinois Bend, Texas. Her first husband, Dr. Richard D. McConchie, died in 1964. She and Ortez Bolles were married March 13, 1970, in Mexico. He died Aug. 29, 1993. She worked for many years for the State Comptroller's office in Austin as an administrative technician. She had lived the last 30 years in Bandera but had previously lived in Aransas Pass, Texas, and Wichita Falls.
Survivors include a son, John McConchie of Spicewood, Texas; three step-sons, Dickey McConchie of New York, David McConchie of New Mexico and Danny McConchie of Texas; three sisters, June Whitaker of Wichita Falls, Ava Biggs of Dallas and Rita Passariello of Wichita Falls; two brothers, Jimmie Watts of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jackie Watts of Wichita Falls; and three grandchildren.
Visitation will be 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Lunn's Colonial Funeral Home in Wichita Falls.

J.B. Clark
WAURIKA, Okla. - J.B. Clark, 85, of Hastings died Thursday, Oct. 8, 1998, in a Waurkia hospital.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Waurika Church of Christ with Fred Cowley and Noel Curington, ministers, officiating. Burial will be in the Hastings Cemetery under the direction of Willis C. Worley and Sons Funeral Home.
Mr. Clark was born Jan. 1, 1913, in Hennipen, Okla. He and Louise Hight were married Feb. 1, 1937, in Lawton, Okla. The couple established there home one and a half miles from Hastings. He moved to Hastings in 1917 where he attended school. In the early 1920s he moved to Wilson, Okla., returning to Hastings in 1930. He graduated from Hastings High School in 1934. He farmed and ranched until 1950 when he began working for Jefferson County as a heavy equipment operator. He retired in 1978 after 28 years of service. He then continued to farm and ranch until 1990. He served on the Hastings School Board and the Hastings Community Board for several years. He was a longtime member of the Waurika Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Sheila Cowley of Fort Worth; a son, Benton of Arlington, Texas; and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Jefferson County Hospital in Waurika and to the Hastings Cemetery.
