Pacelli, Alfonso M.. 80, a self employed plumber, died Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Care One in Parsippany, NJ. Born in Hazelton, PA. he was the son of the late Joseph and Palma (Miraldo) Pacelli. Mr. Pacelli was a Past Commander for the Italian American War Veterans of Sgt. John Basilione Post #6, Paterson and a member of Holy Cross RC Church. He was a Wayne resident since 1961 and was previously from Paterson. He served in the Army during Korean Conflict and WWII. Beloved husband of the late Josephine (Tarsitano), loving father of Diana Morana and husband Carmen of Parsippany, caring brother of Marie Cortez of Hazelton, PA, and Josephine Stitch of VA and the late Peter Pacelli and Ann Talerio. Padley, Mary A. (Bussanich), age 94, a retired stenographer for Bayer Company, NY, NY died Sunday, May 13, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital in Pequannock Township, NJ. Mrs. Padley lived in West Milford, NJ for 50 years. She is survived by three sons, Gregory Padley of Monroe, NY, Walter Padley of Vernon, NJ and John Padley of CA; a daughter, Marilyn Laino of West Milford, NJ; a brother, Albert Bussanich of Bellaire, FL; 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband Walter in 1996. She was the daughter of the late John and Antonia (Scrivanich) Bussanich. Palasciano, Theresa A., 73, of Wayne, died Monday, August 6, 2007 at Wanaque Convalescent Center in Haskell, NJ. She was a retired expediter for Retailers Manufacturer, Secaucus. Mrs. Palasciano was a resident of Wayne since 1968 and was previously from Garfield. She was a member of St. Mary's RC Church, Pompton Lakes. Beloved wife of the late Frank, (2002). Devoted mother of two sons, Christopher of Wayne, Michael and wife Rose of Hamilton, NJ, dear sister of John Malatoris of Garfield. Also survived by two precious grandchildren, Maria and Ryan. Palmer, Richard J., 86,of Riverdale, died Tuesday, August 28, 2007 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, NJ. He was a resident since 1947. Mr. Palmer was a retired U. S. Army Staff Sgt, serving for 21 years during World War II and the Korean War. Later he worked as an assembler for Edwards Engineering, Pompton Plains He was born in New York the son of George and Catherine (Garrigan) Palmer. Beloved husband of the late Ersilda (2007). Surviving are his brother, Donald W. of Pompton Plains, sister Virginia Berry, many nieces and nephews. Pearson, Charles, 91, a retired textile worker for Allied Textiles, Paterson, died Thursday, May 10, 2007. Mr. Pearson was an avid NY Yankees fan. He lived in Ringwood for 50 years. He was the son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Dooney) Pearson. He was preceded in death by his wife Rose (1996). He is survived by his daughter Geraldine Musall of Wanaque, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two great-great crandchildren. Phillips, William I., Jr., age 62, an installer for Lucent Technologies, Paterson, NJ died Tuesday, June 12, 2007 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, NJ. Mr. Phillips lived in Lincoln Park, NJ for 28 years and was previously from Wayne. He is survived by his wife Debbie, a son, William I. Phillips, III of Ocean Grove, two sisters Margaret McCall of Teaneck and Marilyn Parr of Wayne. He was preceded in death by his father, William I. Phillips, Sr., and his mother, Helen Dunay. Pladey, Charles William, 57, of West Milford (30 years) formerly of Franklin Lakes on Monday, July 9, 2007. Mr. Pladey was a retired heavy equipment operator for Village of Ridgewood, where he worked for 30 years. He is survived by his wife Nancy L. (Hill), a brother, Thomas W. Pladey and his wife Evelyn, their three daughters Elizabeth Gavin and husband Richard, their children, Amanda & Zachary Gavin, Cheryl Morris and husband Mark and their children, Heather and Thomas Morris and Karen Pladey. Reich, Edward J., age 78, a retired electrician for City of Hoboken, died Saturday, April 7, 2007 at his home in Henryville, PA. Mr. Reich was a member of Rochelle Park American Legion Post #170. He lived in Henryville, PA for 11 years and was previously from Rochelle Park, NJ. He is survived by his wife Virginia (Compton); two sons, William of Hewitt, NJ and Edward of Bloomingdale, NJ; two daughters, Sharon Dumo of Paramus, NJ and Rosaline Rubin of Pocono Township, PA; seven grandchildren, Ephraim, John, Jennifer, Kaitlin, Kyriea, Adam and Will. He was son of the late William and Anna (Olshesky) Reich. He served in the Army during Korean Conflict and he attained the rank of Cpl. (T). Mr. Remia was a member and Past President of Upper Greenwood Lake Volunteer Ambulance Corp, Treasurer of 17th District of NJ 1st Aid Council, Acting Postmaster of Hewitt Post Office, Hewitt, NJ, Boy Scout Troop #44 Committee and member of the Italian American Social Club. Mr. Remia lived in Hewitt for 57 years and was previously from Brooklyn, NY. He is survived by two sons, William Remia of Hewitt, NJ and Edward Remia of Newton, NJ; a stepson, Albert McConnach of Brooklyn, NY; 4 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by his wife Enes (Bettelli) in 2003 and a brother Joseph in 1997. He was born in Spinozo, Italy the son of the late Dominick and Rose (Mobilio) Remia. Reynaga Alfredo, age 65, a machine operator for Poly Molding, Haskell, died Thursday, January 25, 2007 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, New Jersey. Mr. Reynaga was the son of Roberto and Aurora (Osorio) Reynaga. He lived in Pompton Lakes before moving to Haskell, New Jersey 25 years ago. He is survived by his wife, Myriam ( Acucena); two brothers, Jose Luis of Stockton, CA and Carlos Alberto of Hayward, CA; two sisters, Carmen Torres of Mexico and Anna Maria Reynaga of Madera, CA. Mr. Reynolds was a past Commander VFW Post 2906 and a Pompton Lakes resident for 56 years. Born in Bloomfield, he was the son of the late Daniel and Estelle (Van Sickle) Reynolds. Beloved husband of the late Jean (Van Buskirk) Reynolds and loving father of two sons, Raymond of Pennsylvania and Lee of Pompton Lakes and a daughter Deborah Tobia of Malta, NY. Rhinesmith, Russell S., age 89 died Saturday August 11, 2007 at Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pompton Plains. He was the son of Alvin and Lucy (Sly) Rhinesmith, Mr. Rhinesmith resided in Pompton Lakes for the past 60 years. He was employed by Peerless Tube. Co. in Bloomfield where he worked as a machinist for 37 years, retiring in 1983. He was an Army Veteran of World War II attaining rank of SGT. Mr Rhinesmith was a member of Bethany Church, Wyckoff. Surviving children include his son Gordon R. Rhinesmith and a daughter LaVon G. Collis. Also surviving is a sister Avonne Van Dyke, five grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. Funeral services will be held 10 A.M. Rhodes, Raymond L. Sr., age 73 of Pompton Lakes on Saturday, May 26, 2007 at St. Joseph Wayne Hospital, Wayne. A Pompton Lakes resident for 34 years, he was formerly of Paterson. Mr. Rhodes was employed as a machinist for Artistic Identification Systems, Pompton Lakes. A Navy veteran, he served during the Korean War and was a member of the Pompton Lakes American Legion. Mr. Rhodes is survived by two sons, Ronald of Ringwood, NJ and Raymond L. Jr. of Pompton Lakes. He was predeceased by his wife, Janet (Emerson) Rhodes in 2006. Ricker Jr., John passed away peacefully on Sunday July 15, 2007 at his home in Kinnelon at the age of 101. Mr. Ricker and his family were life long residents of Kinnelon. He was the son of John and Alida Ricker Sr; and the brother to Pearl Miller, Hattie Scinski and Sadie Mae Wiley. Mr. Ricker was the head construction superintendent of the Thomas Construction Company of Paterson and went on to construct buildings at Morris County College, William Paterson College as well as various schools and commercial buildings in New Jersey. He was a member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 124, the Kinnelon Fire Department and the Church of the Nazerene in Butler. He was a man of religious and moral character. Predeceased by his beloved wife Inez Ricker of 57 years in 1990, Mr. Ricker is survived by his nieces Joyce Young of Quincy, MA, Jeau Davis of Robinsville, NJ, Willa Tice of Bloomingdale, NJ and his nephew Dr. John Wiley of Westfield, NJ. Funeral services will be celebrated at 10 A.M. on Wednesday July 18 at Richards Funeral Home 4 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Laura (Triolo) LeMasson, Mrs. Rifenbark lived in West Milford for 30 years. Rockefeller, Merle K. (Koch), age 91 of Hewitt, NJ died on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Rockefeller resided in Flushing Queens before moving here 27 years ago. Mrs. Rockefeller assisted her husband, Ralph, in the daily operations of the Thomas M. Quinn Funeral Home in Flushing, NY in the areas of receptionist and cosmetology. She is survived by one son, Carl A. of Hewitt and one grandson, Ralph H. Mrs. Rockefeller was predeceased by her husband, Ralph H. in 1967; a son, Ralph H. Jr. in 1954; a brother, Ernest Koch and two sisters, Marion Pfutterer in 1986 and Ruth Wolf in 1984. He resided in Ridgefield Park, NJ and Upper Saddle River, NJ before settling in West Milford, NJ 47 years ago. Mr. Romer was employed by Supermarket Generals Corporation "Pathmark" and was proud to be one of its first employees before staring his own business James Romer Contractor, Inc. which focused on supermarket renovations and construction. Schilling, Benedict L. 86, beloved husband of the late Edna (Leppert)(1999), on Thursday, January 17, 2008 at NJ Veterans Home in Paramus. Mr. Schilling lived in West Milford, NJ since 1996 and was previously from Dumont. He was a retired foreman for Lowe Paper Company, Ridgefield. Surviving are three daughters: Donna Mahon and her husband John of West Milford, Janet Celler and her husband Allen of GA, Kristine Parrella and her husband Eugene of Whitehouse Station, NJ; a brother, Harry of Bergenfield; a sister, Cecelia Hill of VA; five grandchildren: Laura, Matthew and Emma Parrella, Timothy Celler and Allison Haldenan and one great grandson, Cole Celler. He was born in Millville, NJ the son of the late Walter and Cecelia (Osterman) Schilling. He served in the Navy during World War II having attained the rank of Fire Controlman 2c. Sendik, Lauren Elizabeth, age 18, of Wanaque, entered Eternal Life on December 22nd, 2007. Beloved daughter of Patricia E. Carhart and James J. Sendik. Loving sister of Gregory, Daniel, and Caitlyn. Cherished granddaughter of Wilma Sendik, the late John Sendik, and the late Helen Carhart. Formerly from Clifton, Lauren attended St. Clare School and helped win cheerleading competitions for her team. Lauren resided in Wanaque since 2003 and attended Lakeland Regional High School and Passaic County Technical Institute. She loved her job, her pets, and enjoyed spending time with her many friends. Sinsabaugh, Shawn, 34, a self-employed handyman, died Tuesday, December 11, 2007. Mr. Sinsabaugh was a lifelong resident of Haskell. He was a Marshall Arts Expert. Born in Pequannock, he was the son of the late James and Lynda (Petterson) Sinsabaugh, loving brother of Louis Osborne and his wife Allison, devoted uncle of Mark, Joshua, Tyler and Kiley, all of Haskell. Slodzinski, Anthony, age 94, a retired supervisor for Curtis Wright, Woodridge, died Friday, March 16, 2007 at Heritage Assisted Living in Hammonton, NJ. Mr. Slodzinski was a member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. He lived in Hammonton, NJ for four years and was previously from West Milford. He is survived by a son Raymond Sloginski of Hammonton, NJ, 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife Elizabeth (Klein) ( 2005) and two sons Gerald and Robert. Mr. Slodzinski was the son of Fabian and Josephine (Milarska) Slodzinski. Visiting at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Tuesday (3/20) from 10AM-11:45 AM. Funeral Liturgy will be held Tuesday, March 20, 2007 at 12:00 noon at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Rev. Fr. Fred Walters of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa.

Smith, Ethel E., 79, a retired crossing guard for the Boro of Pompton lakes, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at St. Josephs Hospice in Wayne. Miss Smith was a lifetime resident of Pompton Lakes. She is survived by a brother, William Smith, of Wanaque, a sister, Lois Duffy of Pompton Lakes. She was the daughter of the late Melvin and Lutie (Van Luvender) Smith. Funeral services10:00 A.M Saturday, September 8, 2007 at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Interment Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa. Friends may call Friday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM.

Storms, Bernard "Ben" "Uncle Ben", age 86, of Haskell, died suddenly after a series of health problems, on Friday, September 14, 2007, in Warsaw, NY, with loving family at his side. Ben was the last surviving member of his original generation of Stormses. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Phyllis; eldest daughter and caregiver, Saundra "Sandi" (James d. 2003) Putnam; two sons, Stephen (Lee) of Warsaw, NY, and Jeffrey (Michele) of Caldwell, ID; and youngest daughter, Stacy (Christopher) Dorland of Rochester, NY. He also leaves behind 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, three sisters-in-law (Olga, Gertrude, and June [Hudson]), numerous nieces and nephews, and other relations and friends. Ben was born in Wanaque Borough, and lived there most of his life in the Midvale and Haskell sections. In later years, he lived in Bloomingdale and then West Milford. His last 5 years were spent with his children and their families in western New York. Ben was a veteran of WWII, flying 29 missions over the English Channel as a waist gunner in the Army Air Corps. He loved to reminisce and tell his war tales. After the war, Ben worked nights for several years at E.I. DuPont in Kearney. For the next almost 50 years, his days were spent working with family in his eldest brother Morgan’s business. Loyal customers of Wanaque Supply will remember "Uncle Ben" and his pipe from the hardware department. In his earlier years, Ben loved helping others any way he could. He also was a young marble champion, star baseball pitcher, pool hall aficionado, card shark, and amateur gardener. In his later years, Ben enjoyed being the undisputed Domino Champion of the family. In the end, "his heart could not handle all his heart could hold." Funeral service 11AM Thursday at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Interment at Warwick Cemetery in Warwick, NY. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
