Marilynn "Jo" Eichler

MONTGOMERY, Mich. - Marilynn "Jo" Eichler, 68, of Montgomery, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at W.A. Foote Hospital in Jackson.
The daughter of Leone (Fireoved) and Kenneth Morse, she was born April 18, 1933, in Montgomery.
A graduate of Montgomery High School in 1952, and Riggs Beauty School, she was a member of the Montgomery United Methodist Church and a former member of the Order of Eastern Star. Surviving are two stepdaughters, Mrs. Ron (Kandy) Muniz of Canton and Mrs. Wally (Cindy) Swallich of Brighton; three stepsons, Kim Eichler of Jonesville, Kevin (and wife, Cindy) Eichler of Pontiac and Kirk (Lou Anne) Eichler of West Unity, Ohio; a sister, Ardeth Morse of Montgomery; an aunt, Barbara Kincade of Rutherfordton, N.C.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents; and a brother.
Visitation will be Saturday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the George White Funeral Home in Reading. Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, with the Rev. Diane Stone officiating. Interment
will follow in Berg Cemetery in Montgomery.

Donna Louise Antigo

MONTPELIER - Donna Louise Antigo, 57, of Montpelier, died Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, from injuries received in an auto accident.
The daughter of Viola A. (Birkhimer) and Delbert Cunningham, she was born in Steubenville on March 19, 1944. On Feb. 15, 1969, she married Bradley L. Antigo Sr., and he survives.
A member of the Rock of Ages Church in Defiance, she had been employed as a waitress at Gio's Rest in Weirton, W.Va.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are four sons, Bradley L. (and wife, Shiela) Antigo Jr., Mark A. (Mendi) Antigo, Ronald P. (Deanna) Antigo and Eric S. (Shelly Oberlin) Antigo, all of Bryan; two daughters, Mrs. Dale (Alberta) Starr of Weirton, W.Va. and Carla Renae (Bill Taylor) Robinson of Montpelier; a brother, Robert Cunningham of Weirton, W.Va.; a sister, June Fisher of New Cumberlain, W.Va.; and 18 grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6-8 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Rice Funeral Home in Bryan.
Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Dean officiating. Burial will be in Fountain Grove Cemetery in Bryan.

Roman D. Colyer

NEY - Roman D. Colyer, 67, of Ney, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, from injuries received in an auto accident.
The son of Helen (Jaworski) and Etienne "Frenchie" Colyer, he was born in Jackson, Mich. on July 11, 1934. On Nov. 3, 1979, he married Mary A. Goebel, and she survives.
He attended St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan and had retired after 40 years of service with Local 333 Plumbers & Pipefitters of Jackson, Mich. He was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Bryan and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bryan.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Christopher (and wife, Marjan) Colyer of Coldwater, Mich.; four daughters, Mrs. Bob (Mary) Daniels of Northville, Mich., Mrs. Paul (Susan) Franck, Mrs. Dennis (Julie) Wyatt and Mrs. Steve (Annette) Scarpino, all of Jackson, Mich.; three stepsons, Steven (Dee) Jerger of Olathe, Kan., Joseph (LuAnn) Jerger and Randy (Jeannie) Jerger, both of Bryan; 23 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; and a granddaughter, Tara Jerger.
The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. today at the Rice Funeral Home in Bryan, where a Rosary service will be held at 7:45 p.m.
Funeral services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Bryan, with the Rev. Charles Ritter officiating. Burial will follow in Ney Cemetery in Ney.

DELRAY BEACH, Fla. - Stephen P. Frisinger, 60, formerly of Bryan, died of a heart attack on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2001, in his home in Delray Beach.
He was a member of the Christian Motorcycle Assn. and First Baptist Church of Boynton Beach. He is survived by his wife, Donna; a stepdaughter, Shannon Ferguson of Florida; a daughter, Heidi Altomore of Toledo, Ohio; a son, Eric Frisinger of Toledo, Ohio; and a sister, Sally Bowers of Bryan, Ohio.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Dorothy Lindsey of Bryan, Ohio; his father, Les Frisinger of Boynton Beach; his stepfather, Woodrow Lindsey of Bryan, Ohio; and a half brother, Jeffrey Lindsey of Bryan, Ohio.
Melissia E. (Ford) Votaw

Melissia E. (Ford) Votaw, 100, of Bryan, died early this morning, Thursday, Oct. 18, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Helen E. Smith, with whom she made her home.
The daughter of Vilinda (Jones) and John Ford, she was born May 10, 1901, in Carter County, Ky. On Dec. 27, 1920, she married Edgar E. Votaw in Decatur, Ill., and he preceded her in death on July 8, 1963.
In 1918 she won the distinguished crown of Miss Illinois. A homemaker, she was a lifelong member of the Bryan Church of the Nazarene.
Surviving are a son, Harold (and wife, Faithe) Votaw Sr. of Pioneer; three daughters, Helen E. Smith of Bryan, Hilda Mae Votaw of Lincolnwood, Ill. and Hyla B. Fisher of Zephyrhills, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; a grandson, Marvin Votaw; two brothers, Everett Ford and Harry "Bud" Ford; and four sisters, Dorothy Paine, Mildred Inhulsen, Bettye Graff and Helen Crete Ford.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. Friday at the Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home in Bryan. Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with Pastor Tracy Hammond officiating. Burial will follow at Shiffler Cemetery in Bryan.

Doris Melinda Reifel

PIONEER - Doris Melinda Reifel, 73, of Pioneer, died Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, at the Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind.
The daughter of Donalda M. (Randall) and Donald R. Bernath, she was born Sept. 28, 1928, in Wright Township in Hillsdale County, Mich. On April 4, 1952, she married Lewis C. Reifel, and he survives.
A member of Pioneer United Methodist Church and Sesqui Study Club, she was a 1945 graduate of Waldron High School in Michigan. She retired in 1988 as school bus driver and cafeteria worker for the North Central School System, after approximately 20 years of service.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Thomas (and wife, Kathy) Reifel of Pioneer; a daughter, Mrs. Keith (Annie) Miller of Indianapolis, Ind.; two brothers, Dean Bernath and Dale Bernath, both of Waldron, Mich.; and four grandchildren, Katie, Lindsey and Jackie Reifel, and David Miller.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Visitation will be Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home in Pioneer.
Services will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Pioneer United Methodist Church, with Nelson Rupp officiating. Interment
will be in Floral Grove Cemetery in Pioneer.

Kathryn Louise "Koke" Quidort

Kathryn Louise "Koke" Quidort, 84, of Bryan, died at 2 a.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2001, in Parkview Nursing Center, Edgerton, where she had been a resident since Friday. She had also resided in the Angola, Ind. area from 1982-1999.
Born Aug. 15, 1917, in Bryan, to Ruth (Deatrick) and Charles Stevens, and raised by the Frappier family in Bryan, she married Clifford E. "Pat" Quidort on Aug. 26, 1939, in Bellefountaine, and he preceded her in death in 1980.
A bookkeeper for the Bryan Sewing Center, which she owned and operated with her husband from 1957-1980, she was a former member of the Bryan Moose Lodge.
She is survived by three sons, Ronald and Douglas Quidort, both of Orlando, Fla. and Gary (and wife, Charlene) Quidort, of Winter Garden, Fla.; a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Paula) Burch of Bryan; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday from 4-8 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Dean Phillips to officiate. Burial will follow in the Shiffler Cemetery near Pulaski.

William Bud "Bill" Hinsch

HICKSVILLE - William Bud "Bill" Hinsch, 78, of Hicksville, died Monday, Oct. 16, 2001, at Hicksville Community Memorial Hospital. He was in failing health for the past one and a half years.
Born March 25, 1923 to Beatrice I. (Teegardin) and Seth W. Hinsch, he married Elowene Eyster on Aug. 16, 1942, at Hicksville, and she survives.
A 1941 graduate of Henry Ford Trade School in Detroit, Mich., he was a brick mason for over 40 years, working in the tri-state area. Also, he worked for ODOT as a state building inspector. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. A veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army as a sergeant, he served in Europe with the 11th Armored Division. He was a member of the Hicksville Masonic Lodge, a life time member of the Shriners, a member of the Hicksville American Legion #223, Hicksville V.F.W. Post 311, past Commander of the American Legion and V.F.W. He was also a past board member of the Hicksville Crippled Children and Adults. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a daughter, Lee Janeen Eberly of Bryan; two sons, Raymond R. Hinsch of Toledo and William Dean Hinsch of Perrysburg; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Ila Rae Wise of Texas; and a brother, Richard E. Hinsch of Pensacola, Fla.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at Grace United Methodist Church in Hicksville. The Rev. Greg Inboden, Pastor of Grace United Methodist Church, is to officiate. Brown Funeral Home, Inc. at Hicksville is in charge of arrangements. There will be no calling hours.

Lillian Dietz

Lillian Dietz, 102, of Bryan, died Monday, Oct. 15, 2001, at the Harborside Healthcare Center of Northwest Ohio-Bryan, where she had been a patient since Oct. 3.
Born on Dec. 12, 1899, in Brooklyn, N.Y., she was a resident of Williams County for over 31 years, having moved here from Brooklyn. She was the widow of Ferdinand Dietz, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are three daughters, Patricia Dietz of Bryan, Mrs. Harold (Charlotte) Heller of Dunnellon, Fla. and Mrs. Joseph (Lillian) Magaster of Clifton, N.J.; a son, John Dietz of Brooklyn, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, was a son, Howard Dietz.
There will be no calling hours and graveside services will be Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Six Corners Cemetery in Hicksville.

Calvin L. Zedaker

Calvin L. Zedaker, 80, of Bryan, died early Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2001, at the Harborside Healthcare Center of Northwest Ohio-Bryan.
The son of Ursula (Shank) and Everett Todd Zedaker, he was born Jan. 21, 1921, in Cecil. On Oct. 16, 1948, he was married to Junell Motter, and she survives.
A 1939 graduate of Defiance High School, he attended Defiance College prior to his enlistment in the Army Air Corp, where he served in the 3rd Emergency Rescue Squadron 5th Air Force in the South Pacific Theatre during World War II.
He was a former employee of the Aro Corp. and GM Central Foundry, before accepting a position with the 50+5 Corp/Hayes Albion Co., in West Unity, where he was employed as an industrial engineer until his retirement in 1979. He moved to West Unity in 1960 and lived there until 1978, when he and his wife relocated to Florida, where they made their home until 1999. They then returned to Bryan.
He was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Bryan and was an avid private pilot and member of the AOPA until ill health grounded him. He became a radio operator and operated station KJ4CT until his death. He was a member of the West Unity American Legion Post.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. Jay (Holly) Gadomski of Carmel, Ind., Mrs. Mike (Ann) Norrick of Montpelier and Mrs. Duane (Janie) Peugeot of Bryan; nine grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter; five great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren; and a brother, Robert (Virginia) Zedaker of Stryker.
Preceding him in death were parents; four brothers, Charles, Ollie, Everett and Raymond; and two sisters, Pauline Jodry and Alice Devers.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Lutheran Church in Bryan. Memorial services will be Wednesday at 1 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Richard Franks officiating.

Jack D. Hoffman, 71, of Bryan, died early Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, in the VA Hospital in Fort Wayne, Ind., following a long-term illness.
The son of Beatrice (Schlosser) and Harry Hoffman, he was born Dec. 26, 1929, in Liberty Center. On Oct. 22, 1950, he married Evelyn Rice, and she survives.
A U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War and a member of the 5th RCT Regimental Combat Team, he was also a member of the Bryan VFW Post 2489, Amvets Post 0054 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Bryan. He was employed at MHE Corp. until disabled.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Sandie Phillips of Bryan, Mrs. Robert (Billie) Johns of Green Bay, Wis. and Mrs. Ryan (Jackie) Walter of Bryan; a son, Jack Dean (and wife, Misty) Hoffman of Bryan; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Denver Hoffman of Columbia, S.C.; and two sisters, Barbra Schindler of Napoleon and Mrs. Fred (Linda) Walker of Bryan.

MONTPELIER - Dora Jane Hepker, 83, of Montpelier, died early Sunday, Oct. 14, 2001, at The Dilworth Center of the Community Hospitals of Williams County-Montpelier, following a lingering illness.
The daughter of Imo L. (Gaskill) and Seldon L. Mick, she was born Jan. 15, 1918, in Montpelier. She was the widow of Lavon C. Hepker, who preceded her in death on April 28, 1958.
A lifelong Montpelier resident, she was a 1936 graduate of Montpelier High School. She had retired in 1978 after over 20 years as front office clerk/receptionist at Williams County General Hospital in Montpelier. She had previously worked as a teller at the former Farmers & Merchants State and Savings Bank in Montpelier.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Montpelier, the Williams County Historical Society and the Williams County General Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving are five brothers, Lester (and wife, Ruth) Mick of Chicago, Ill., Charles (Vivian) Mick of Montpelier, Larry (Mary Lou) Mick of Fayette, Tom (Susan) Mick of Montpelier and Richard (Linda) Mick of Tucson, Ariz.; three sisters, Mrs. Denver (Dolly) Crist of Bryan, Mrs. Gail (Joan) Gordon of Montpelier and Shirley McGee of Montpelier; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were four brothers, James, Harold, Rogers and Lewis Mick; and a sister, Jeanette Lamb.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home in Montpelier.
Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home, with the Rev. Robert Damschroder officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery in Montpelier.

Ethel B. Clingaman

PULASKI - Ethel B. Clingaman, 89, of Pulaski, died Sunday morning, Oct. 14, 2001, at Harborside Healthcare Center of Northwest Ohio-Bryan, where she had been a resident since Aug. 12, 1999. The daughter of Hattie (Olmstead) and Grover Schaffner, she was born May 30, 1912, near Fayette. On Nov. 16, 1933, she married Andrew Clingaman on Nov. 16, 1933, and he preceded her in death on Oct. 9, 1966.
A resident of the Archbold area for many years, she moved to Pulaski in 1983. She worked at Strydel in Stryker for about 13 years before retiring in 1977, and was a member of the Pulaski United Methodist Church.
Surviving is a daughter, Mrs. Howard "Cy" (Hattie) Brodbeck of Manitou Beach, Mich.; a son, James (and wife, Sue) Clingaman of Stryker; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents; a son, Jerry; a granddaughter; and a brother, Ivan Schaffner.

Betty Jane Geer

DELTA - Betty Jane Geer, 72, of Delta, died Saturday, Oct. 13, 2001, at her residence, following a lengthy illness.
The daughter of Belle and Ford Echler, she was born in Delta on Jan. 5, 1929. On Aug. 2, 1947, she married Hal R. Geer, in Delta, and he survives. She was a 1946 graduate of Delta High School.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a daughter, Mrs. Bo (Sharon L.) Swanbeck of Temperance, Mich.; a son, Randy D. (and wife, Sharlene) Geer of South Woodley, Ind.; eight grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; and four brothers, Paul, Earl, Vern and Gail Echler.
There will be no public calling hours and private family services will be held Tuesday at the Miller Funeral Home in Delta, with the Rev. Don Krieger officiating. Interment
will follow at Winameg Cemetery.

Dotty May McKarns, 75, of Bryan, died unexpectedly of a possible heart attack early this morning, Monday, Oct. 15, 2001.
The daughter of Emma (Davis) and Roy Kerr, she was born Sept. 12, 1926, in Bryan. She was the widow of Charles Hobart "Hob" McKarns, who preceded her in death on Friday, Oct. 12.
A graduate of Bryan High School and Bowling Green State University, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Wesley United Methodist Church and Women's Circle, The Progressive Study Club, and served on the Williams County Election Board.
Surviving are a sister, Nancy (Kerr) Hatzenikoles; two children, Becky (and husband, Glenn) Shearer of Bryan and Tony McKarns of Richland, Wash.; grandchildren, Amanda (Ken) MacFarlane, Melissa (Rob) Kidder and Mary Beth Shearer; and two great-grandsons, Timothy and Christopher MacFarlane.
Preceding her in death, in addition to her husband, were her parents.
Joint visitation for Dotty and Hob will be today from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Oberlin-Ford Funeral Home, and Tuesday from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Wesley United Methodist Church.

ANGOLA, Ind. - Marlon L. Pinter, 49, of Angola and formerly of Bryan, Ohio and Wauseon, Ohio, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in his home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1952, In Fremont, Ohio, to Hazel (Fork) and Mike Pinter.
Surviving is a son, Coley Rau of Edgerton, Ohio; and two sisters, Barbara Tedrow of Angola and Bettye Ballard of Puyallup, Wash.
Preceding him in death were his parents.
There is no visitation or funeral service. Burial will be in Wauseon Union Cemetery, Wauseon. Arrangements are by the Weicht Funeral Home, Angola.
Hillard W. Smith Jr.

PIONEER - Hillard W. Smith Jr., 65, of Pioneer and a former Montpelier area resident, died unexpectedly Monday afternoon, Dec. 3, 2001, at Community Hospital of Williams County, Montpelier, after being stricken in his home with an apparent heart attack.
Born July 1, 1936, at Toledo, to Viola (Hall) and Hillard W. Smith, Sr., he married Lyn Bechtol and she survives.
A 1954 graduate of Macomber High School, Toledo, he had been an area resident the past 22 years. A carpenter and electrician in the construction field, he retired in 1998. He was a former co-developer, owner and operator of Lazy River Campground near Pioneer.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three daughters, Mrs. Fred (Kim) Jackson of Sylvania, Mrs. Kevin (Joette) Siebenaler of Pioneer and Jaclyn Smith at home; three stepchildren, Martha Luke of Fayette, Brian (and wife, Mandy) Luke of Edgerton and Dareth Luke of Pioneer; a grandson, Conrad Siebenaler of Pioneer; seven stepgrandchildren; his mother, Viola Smith of Toledo; a brother, Larry (Jayne) Smith of Perrysburg; and two sisters, Mrs. Jim (Joyce) Salway of Fremont, Ind., and Mrs. Robert (Darlene) Pickle of Clinton.
Private family services will be held. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are by Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier.

Bernadine L. Fritz

EDGERTON - Bernadine L. Fritz, 87, of Bryan and formerly of Edgerton, died Monday, Dec. 3, 2001, at the Dilworth Center of Williams County Hospital in Montpelier, after an extended illness. Born Nov. 6, 1914, in Farmer township of Defiance County, she was the daughter of Inez (Beattie) and Fred Fritz.
Prior to retiring, she worked in the housekeeping department at the Bryan hospital for many years.
Surviving are a caregiver, Jennifer Wagner of Bryan; a brother Fred Fritz of Kendallville, Ind.; two sisters, Martha Luke of Edgerton and Mrs. Sam (Myra) Mowry of Bonita Springs, Fla. Preceding her in death were her parents, three sisters and two brothers.
There will be no visitation.
Memorial services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m., in the Krill Funeral Home, Edgerton, with Pastor Richard Buchsteiner to officiate. Burial will be in Farmer Cemetery.

HICKSVILLE - Lyle J. Buchanan, 64, of Hicksville, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at Lutheran Hospital, Fort Wayne, Ind.
Born Aug. 8, 1937, at DeKalb County, Ind., to Evelyn (Crosley) and Lester Earl Buchanan, he married Dolores Gericke on Oct. 27, 1967, at Sherwood, and she survives.
A veteran of the Korean War, he had worked and retired from Tri-Wall at Butler, Ind., and was a member of the Butler Eagles Lodge.
Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three stepdaughters, Bridget Witte of Hicksville, Deannie Osmun of Hicksville and Kathy Woods of Auburn, Ind.; three stepsons, Terry Gaston of Cecil, Richard Gaston of Defiance and Christ Gaston of Gray, Ga.; three sisters, Marlene Tomlinson of Valdosta, Ga., Rachel Ray of Smyrna, Ga., and Elizabeth Dunn of Manheim, Pa.; three brothers, Rex Kelly of Convoy, Ron Kelly of Sacramento, Calif., and John Yates of Fort Wayne, Ind.; 11 stepgrandchildren and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Marilyn Baird.
Visitation will be Tuesday after 2 p.m. and Wednesday after 8 a.m. in the Brown Funeral Home, Hicksville.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m., in the funeral home, with Ken Wellman, minister of the First Church of Christ, Hicksville to officiate.
Viola E. Klein

MONTPELIER - Viola E. Klein, 92, of Stuart, Fla., and a long-time Montpelier resident, died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 1, 2001, in Parkway Health and Rehab Center in Stuart, following a lengthy illness.
Born Jan. 7, 1909, in Detroit, Mich., she married Leonard A. Klein on Jan. 28, 1928, and he preceded her in death on March 30, 1989.
A Detroit resident for 25 years, she was also a Montpelier resident for 59 years and a Florida resident for eight years. A member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Montpelier, she had been employed as a retail clerk at the former Charles Company in Montpelier for a number of years, and later as a salesperson with Allen-Cunniff Furniture Store in Montpelier until her retirement. Surviving are a son, Dwight (and wife, Laura Jeannee) Klein of Palm City, Fla.; three grandchildren, Gregory (Alesa) Klein of Matthews, N.C., Mrs. Paul (Jan) Grossman of Midlothian, Va. and Don (Chris) Klein of Delray Beach, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; and a brother, Raymond (Rose) Radtke of Jenson Beach, Fla.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters and four brothers. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-8 p.m. in Wilson-Geesey Funeral Home, Montpelier. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m., in the funeral home, with Pastor David Coffin to officiate. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Montpelier.

Jonathan "Jon" M. Clark

LIMA - Jonathan "Jon" M. Clark, 53, of Lima, died Friday, Nov. 30, 2001, in St. Rita's Medical Center.
He was born Sept. 18, 1948, in Lima, to Norma (Stumbaugh) Tomlinson and James M. Clark. An Army veteran who served in Vietnam, he had worked for United Telephone-Sprint for 26 years and enjoyed fishing and bowling.
Surviving are his father, James M. (and wife, Phyllis) Clark of Bryan; a son, Jason (Brenda Lewis) Clark of Lima; a daughter, Mrs. Greg (Allison) Wireman of Lima; five grandchildren, Tyler Culp, Kora Wireman, Bayne Wireman, Bayleigh Clark and Brendhan Clark; two brothers, Rick (Tina) Mathewson of Buckland and Joe M. Clark of Bryan; and a sister, Mrs. Dennis (Linda) Scott of Bryan; ex-wife, Mrs. Bob (Denise) Kettler Clark Clay of Lima and his mother-in-law, Irene Kettler Baxter.
Visitation will be held today from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m., in the funeral home, with Chaplain Dick Coon to officiate. Interment
will be in Memorial Park Cemetery with a military graveside service conducted by VFW Post #1275 Lima.

Carl E. Lohse

ARCHBOLD - Carl E. Lohse, 79, of Archbold, died Saturday morning, Dec. 1, 2001, at the Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home in Archbold.
Born Nov. 14, 1922, in Henry County, to Mary (Keller) and John F. Lohse, he married Lois Cooley on Jan. 1, 1959, and she preceded him in death in 1999.
Prior to retiring, he had been a truck driver for Tri-County Block & Brick, Inc. An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, in rural Stryker, and the Archbold American Legion Post 311.
Surviving are two daughters-in-law, Mary Lou Penrod Nemire of Archbold and Lenora Penrod of Sandusky; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by two sons, Donald and Duane Penrod; and two brothers, Harold and Donald Lohse.
Visitation will be held Monday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at the Chapel of Fairlawn Haven Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dale Kern to officiate. Interment
will follow in the church cemetery. Grisier Funeral Home in Archbold is in charge of arrangements.

Ernest "John" Posey

EVANSPORT - Ernest "John" Posey, 80, of Evansport, died Saturday, Dec. 1, 2001, in his home. Born Dec. 31, 1920, in Springfield Township, to Clara (Schultz) and Wyatt Posey, he married Joyce Wiles on May 18, 1946 and she preceded him in death in 1993.
He retired from the Aro Corporation after 40 years, where he worked as a draftsman and assistant supervisor in the custom order department. An Army Veteran of World War II, where he served in the European Theater, he was a life member of the Bryan VFW, a member of the Bryan Eagles and a member of the Evansport Fox Hunters.
Surviving are a son, John (and wife, Denise) Posey of Bryan; four daughters, Mrs. Dan (Lana) Hook of Edon, Mrs. Kenneth (Cathy) Laub of Archbold, Mrs. Michael (Rebecca) Spurgeon of Deshler and Mrs. Dan (Terri) Creighten of Fayette; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Evelyn Martz of Bryan; and two brothers, Lauren Posey of Bryan and W. William Posey of Hicksville.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother. Visitation will be held Monday from 2-9 p.m. in the Grisier Funeral Home in Stryker.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., in the funeral home, with the Rev. Ernest Belella to officiate. Interment
will follow in the Evansport Cemetery, where military rites will be given by the Bryan VFW.

MUNSON, Mich. - Gloria J. Richardson, 59, of Munson, Mich., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2001, in her home.
Born Sept. 20, 1942, in Montpelier, Ohio, to Delma (Miller) and Harry Bohner, she married Cleo Richardson in 1965 and he survives.
Surviving, in addition to her husband, are two sons, Rick (and wife, Shelly) Richardson of Butler, Ind., and Brian Richardson of Munson; a daughter, Patti, at home; a sister, Mrs. Lewis (Kay) Addison of Napoleon, Ohio; and two grandchildren, Austin and Page Richardson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Patricia.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Eagle Funeral Home, Fayette. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the funeral home with Dr. Samuel Wickard to officiate. Interment

Vernon F. "Sonny" Schnarre

SAINT MARYS - Vernon F. "Sonny" Schnarre, 77, of Saint Marys, died Sunday, Dec. 2, 2001, at his son's residence in Montpelier, after an extended illness.
Born Jan. 28, 1924, in Saint Marys, to Martha (Hilgeman) and Vernon Schnarre, Sr., he married Elizabeth Louise Dicke on Aug. 24, 1947 and she preceded him in death on Jan. 6, 1979.
A 1941 graduate of Memorial High School in Saint Marys, he retired after many years from the Parker-Hannifin Corporation in Saint Marys, where he was a machinist. A veteran of the United States Army Air Force, he flew more than 50 combat missions as a tail gunner over the European Theatre during World War II. He was a member of the St. Paul's United Methodist Church of Christ in Saint Marys and a member of the Saint Marys Men's Garden Club. He had served as a judge at numerous flower shows in the area.
Surviving are a son, Stephen (and wife, Elaine) Schnarre of Montpelier; a daughter, Sharon Schnarre of Toledo; two granddaughters, Mrs. Ray (Stephanie) Leininger of Fayette and Mrs. Ray (Shelly) Moore, Jr. of Moorehead, Ky.; a stepgranddaughter, Mrs. Bob (Dr. Deidre) Donaldson Paschke of East Walpole, Mass.; a stepgrandson, Steven (Maren) Donaldson of Doylestown; and a sister, Wilma Kuenning of Celina.
In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Schnarre; and a sister, Roberta Oxtender.
Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the Miller-Long & Folk Funeral Home, 314 W. High St., Saint Marys.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Saint Paul's United Church of Christ, 201 N. Perry St., Saint Marys, with the Rev. Patricia Minnick to officiate. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in Saint Marys.

Margaret Goller Lowe
A retired school teacher, she taught junior and senior high school in the Central Local and Edgerton school districts.
She is survived by her husband, Arthur Lowe of Sneadville, Tenn.; two sons, Tom Goller of Loveland, Colo. and John Goller of Chino Hills, Calif.; a daughter, Ruth Goller Colville of Rochester, Minn.; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Preceding her in death was her first husband, Dalton Goller, in August of 1984.
A memorial service will be held Sunday at Elm Springs Baptist Church in Sneadville, Tenn.
