William F. "Bill" Ellis, 77, of Crab Orchard, died May 28, 2002, at Charleston Area Medical Center, Memorial Division, following a lengthy illness. Born March 4, 1925, in Otsego, he was the son of the late Tom S. Ellis and Ida Mary Johnson Ellis.

Lou Siller Fix
Lou Siller Fix, 91, formerly of Killarney, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away , May 26, 2002, at her residence in Columbus Ohio following a brief illness. Born Aug. 24, 1910, in Roderfield, she was the daughter of the late James and Mary Reed.

Willis 'Bo' Green Sr.
Willis Anthony "Bo" Green Sr., 43, died May 28, 2002, in a Charleston hospital following a short illness. Born May 25, 1959, at Welch, he was the son of Willis and Gracie Lane Green of Pineville.

Eileen W. Sebastian
Eileen Walls Sebastian, 85, formerly of Simon, died Friday, May 24, 2002, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital, Mount Clemons, Mich., following a short illness. Born Oct. 30, 1916, in Simon, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Walls and Laura Trent Walls.

Joan Stinson
Joan Stinson, 71, died May 28, 2002, in a Charleston hospital following a short illness. Born May 27, 1931, at Pineville, she was the daughter of the late Robert Edwards and Bertha Perdue Dalton.

Rufus C. Irick
Rufus Corol Irick, 56, of Bradshaw, died June 1, 2002 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He was Born May 28, 1946, in Wyoming County, he was the son of Leatrice Redden Irick of Brenton and the late Rufus Irick.

Bonnie Lou Midkiff
Bonnie Lou Midkiff, 45 of Pineville, died June 1, 2002, in a Princeton hospital following a long illness. Born November 14,1954, at Martins Ferry, Ohio, she was the daughter of Lewis Clyde Sr. of Rayland, Ohio and the late Leona Clyde.

Joel Benjamin McCarty
Joel B. "Joey" McCarty of Pineville, died May 16, 2002 in Falls Township, PA. Born in Monroe, MI April 21, 1970 he was the son of Bobby McCarty of Pineville and Patricia Carter Shradern.

Mary Jane Johnson, 90, died May 31, 2002 at her residence following a long illness.

Charles Lewis Lilly, 74, of Corinne, died Sept. 18 [2002], at a Beckley hospital following a long illness. Born Dec. 6, 1927, at Dunns, he was the son of the late Wyatt and Cordie Hatcher Lilly.

Agnes Daniel
Aggie Daniel, 88, of Mullens, died Sept. 10 [2002], at her residence following a long illness. Born Dec. 27, 1913, at Princeton, she was the daughter of the late Luther and Victoria Elizabeth Bledsoe Morgan.

Herbert Adkins
Herbert Adkins, 73, died Sept. 19 [2002], in a Beckley hospital following a short illness. Born Nov. 2, 1928, at Jesse, he was the son of the late Mose and Ida Farley Adkins.

Dossie Browning
Dossie Olivia Browning, 83, of Rockview, died Sept. 19 [2002]. She was born April 29, 1919, in Mullens, and was a daughter of the late Van Buren and Mary Elizabeth Workman Mullins.

Anna J. Hicks
Anna J. Hicks, 83, of Oceana, died Sept. 19 [2002], in a Charleston nursing home following a long illness.

James Robert Coy
James Robert Coy, 82, of Tamcliff, of Gilbert died Monday, May 5, 2003 at Williamson Memorial Hospital, Williamson. Born November 3, 1920 in Lookout. He was the son of the Late William and Nancy Nutter Coy.

Christopher Allen
Christopher Allen, 32, of Bolt, died Tuesday, May 6, 2003. Born April 23, 1971, in Beckley, he was the son of Bud Allen Jr. of Jesse and Barbara Bryson of Ravencliff.

Mark Ivan Addison
Mark Ivan Addison, 47, of Coal Mountain, passed away Sunday, May 4, 2003 at Raleigh General Hospital, Beckley.
Born February 9, 1956, in Pineville, he was the son of the late Harold Willis and Evelyn Ilene Addison.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, May 7, 2003 at 1 p.m. at Coal Mountain Freewill Baptist Church with the Revs. Glen Hatfield and Kirby Puett officiating. Burial followed in the Hatfield Cemetery at Coal Mountain.
Friends called at the church Tuesday evening after 6 p.m.
Mounts Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Frances Altizer
Frances Harmon Altizer, 64, of Pineville, died Friday, May 9, 2003, in a Beckley hospital following a short illness. Born October 1, 1938, in McDowell County, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Barbara Leon Hayes Harmon.

Billie Edward Brown
Billie Edward Brown, 65, of Pageland, S.C., formerly of Glen Fork, died Saturday, May 10, 2003, in Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte, N.C., following a long illness. Born April 2, 1938, in Wyoming County, he was the son of the late Elbert Curly and Rosalie Reed Brown.

Bobby Grose
Bobby Grose of DeRidder died on Friday, May 9, 2003, in Christus St. Patrick Hospital, Lake Charles, La. He was born in Allen Junction.
