JERSEY SHORE — Bradley L. “Duck” Ream Sr., 60, of R.R.1 Jersey Shore, who died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001 in the emergency room of the Jersey Shore Hospital was preceded in death by a brother, Harry H. Ream, who was a casualty of World War II.

Mary L. Sellinger,
enjoyed gardening and crafts
JERSEY SHORE — Mary L. Sellinger, 82, of 5531 Route 287 Highway, Jersey Shore, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001 in her home.
Born Jan. 20, 1918 in Karthaus, she was the daughter of Victor Vermeulun and the former Philomene Givert.
She was married to Harvey A. Sellinger who preceded her in death May 19, 1962.

Ray O. Peters,

LOCK HAVEN — Ray O. Peters, 57, of Blanchard, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001 in the emergency room of Lock Haven Hospital, following a lengthy illness.
Born Sept. 6, 1943 in Beech Creek, he was the son of Casper Peters and stepmother Elizabeth Shaw Peters of Lock Haven, and his late mother, Ada Bittner Peters. He was a graduate of Bald Eagle-Nittany High School in Mill Hall.

June A. McClain,

JERSEY SHORE — June A. McClain, 81, of 418 S. Broad St., Jersey Shore, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001 in ManorCare Health Center, Jersey Shore.
Born June 21, 1919 in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Stahl and the former Laura Gibson.
She and her husband, LaRue G. (Albie) McClain, were united in marriage May 11, 1934. He preceded her in death April 27, 2000.

Clair ‘Jack’ Beightol,
U.S. Army veteran
WILLIAMSPORT — Clair W. “Jack” Beightol, 87, of Williamsport, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001 in Williamsport Hospital.
Born Jan. 21, 1913 in Marion Township, he was the son of the late William and Oneida Harter Beightol.
He and his wife, Pearl Mitcheltree, were married in 1960 in Williamsport. She preceded him in death 1977.

Clair G. Munro,
Woolrich resident
JERSEY SHORE — Clair G. Munro, 73, of 249 Park Ave., Woolrich, died Jan. 6, 2001 in the emergency room of the Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Nov. 9, 1927 in Lock Haven, he was the son of the late Clair E. and Thelma Rogers Munro.
Mr. Munro served in the U.S. Marine Corps from Aug. 15, 1945 to Aug. 23, 1946, and then from Jan. 21, 1948 to Jan. 20, 1952 with the rank of private first class.
Before entering the service, he was employed at the former Bloomsburg Silk Mill in Lock Haven. He then was the credit manager at Piper Aircraft Corp. in Lock Haven, from 1946 to 1984. He and his wife, Patricia A. Coyle, were married Oct. 7, 1949 in St. Agnes Rectory, Lock Haven. She survives.

Jacob A. Shearer,

FLINT, Mich. — Jacob A. Shearer, 20, of Flint, Mich., died Monday, Jan. 1, 2001 in Genesy’s Health Park, Flint, Mich.
Born Feb. 25, 1980 in Lock Haven, he was the son of Ron Shearer of Lock Haven and Debra Loftin of Flint, Mich.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Karmonos Cancer Institute, 110 W. Warren, Detroit, Mich. 4820, phone 1-800-527-6266.

Born Jan. 5, 1940 in Avis, a son of Harold E. and Esther Q. Rickert Ream.
He and his wife, the former Dorothy Hummer, were married Sept. 1, 1961. She survives.

Thelma L. Swain, 97,
school teacher
LOCK HAVEN — Thelma L. Swain, 97, formerly of Salladasburg, died Friday, Jan. 5, 2001 in Lock Haven Hospital.
Born March 19, 1903 in White Pine, she was the daughter of Edward McCullough and the former Emma Lane.

SOUTH FORK — Florence C. Lewis, 76, of Mineral Point Road, Mineral Point, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001 in the Good Samaritan Nursing Center.
Born June 15, 1924 in Falls Creek, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Lottie (Fry) Beck.
Her husband of 59 years, Lloyd F. Lewis, whom she married July 18, 1941, survives.

LOCK HAVEN — Ida Mae Pletcher, 87, of Beech Creek, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001 in the Lock Haven Hospital.
Born Oct. 18, 1913 in Howard, she was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Lydia Holter Pletcher.

Susan M. Davis,

WILLIAMSPORT — Susan M. Davis, 38, of 1777 Devils Elbow Road, Jersey Shore, died Thursday, Jan. 4, 2001 in Williamsport Hospital.
Born Jan. 18, 1962 in Williamsport, she was the daughter of Charles J. (Jim) Aikey and the former Sarah A. McGill.
Surviving is a son, Dwayne L. Davis of Jersey Shore; a daughter, Amandah A. Davis of Jersey Shore; three brothers, Robert W. Aikey of Larryville, Steven D. Helm of Linden and Matthew H. Helm of Jersey Shore; a sister, Tammi L. Rhinehart of Muncy and a grandson.

Catherine L. Lundy,

WILLIAMSPORT — Catherine L. Lundy, 86, formerly of 1317 Cemetery St., Jersey Shore and Sycamore Manor, Williamsport, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001 in Williamsport Hospital.
Born April 8, 1914 in Pine Creek Township, she was the daughter of the late Harry C. Bowers and the former Esther Gordon.
She and her husband, John D. Lundy, were united in marriage Nov. 1, 1940 in Waterville. He preceded her in death Aug. 18, 1985.

Clifford S. ‘Tip’ Messner,

JERSEY SHORE — Clifford S. “Tip” Messner, 86, of 1405 Walnut St., Jersey Shore, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2001 in Jersey Shore Hospital.
Born Jan. 17, 1914 in Jersey Shore, he was the son of the late Charles E. Messner and the former Jessie Staples.
He and his wife, the former Geraldine M. Thomas, were married April 14, 1944. She preceded him in death Nov. 13, 1983.
