Edna Mattie Fonken, 88, of Amarillo, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Amarillo. Services are pending with Brown Funeral Directors of Borger.

Ruby Claris Tinney
Ruby Claris Tinney, 83, died Saturday, June 16, 2001, in Borger. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Abundant Life Fellowship with Vince Inman, pastor, officiaiting. Interment was in "Resthaven Garden" at Highland Park Cemetery under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include her daughter, Barbara Jackson of Borger; one brother, J.B. Stacy of Tulsa, Okla.; two sisters, Jean Madewell of Warner, Okla., and Doris Duke of Checotah, Okla.; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Fred S. "Ted" Farmer
FRITCH–Fred S. "Ted" Farmer, 85, died Monday, June 18, 2001, in Amarillo. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Westlawn Memorial Park with Rev. Barry Loving, pastor of First Christian Church in Pampa officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Devotion" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Fritch. Survivors include his wife, Charleen Farmer of the home; two daughters, Fredda Smith of Fritch and Mayda and Terry King of Pampa; two brothers, P.L. "Percy" Farmer of Wheeler and Clifford Farmer of Fritch; two sisters, Lois Johnson of Borger and Oneta Murray of Hemphill; five grandchildren, D’Awn and Brian Swartwood, Shaunda and Dick Patterson, Greg and Shannon King, Craig and Monti Smith and Chalan and Robert Galloway; seven great-grandchildren, Morgan and Ryan King, Dathan Galloway, Madelyn Gunn, Raedon Smith, Shey Patterson and Cody Swartwood.

Melvin Joe Vick
FRITCH–Melvin Joe Vick, 50, died Sunday, June 17, 2001, in Borger. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Pampa with Rev. Don White, pastor of New Beginnings Church in Buena Vista, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Carmichael-Whatley Funeral Directors of Pampa. Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; one daughter, Mary Pittman of Pampa; one son, Jerald Vick of Fort Pennington, Oceanside, Calif.; two brothers, Johnny Vick and Jesse Vick, both of Pampa; two sisters, Sue Purvis of Oklahoma and Bonnie Gutierrez of Pampa; three half-sisters, Hellen Pool of Hobbs, N.M., Juanita Smith of Pampa and Mary Schrum of Oklahoma; three grandchildren and one step-grandchild.

Dorothy Padgett Dover
Dorothy Padgett Dover, 80, died Friday, June 15, 2001, in Golden Plains Community Hospital. Services were held at 2 p.m. Monday at Brown’s Chapel of the Fountains with Rev. Bruce Ridling, pastor of Borger Missionary Baptist Church, officiating. Burial was in Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of Brown Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include her husband, William L. Dover, and Frances Dover both of Borger.

Tommy D. Clark
DENISON–Tommy D. Clark, 45, died Thursday, June 21, 2001, in his home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Johnson-Moore Chapel with Rev. Robert Hively officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Johnson-Moore Funeral Home. Survivors include his mother, Jewel Clark of Denison; two daughters, Marci Record and Sonya Jones both of Denison; one sister, Linda Chaney of Denison and two grandchildren.

Opal Othel Phelps
CLAUDE–Opal Othel Phelps, 85, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, in Amarillo. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Fairview Assembly of God Church in Amarillo with Rev. Cliff H. Houghton, pastor, and Rev. Max Beggs of Amarillo, officiating. Burial will be in Claude Cemetery under the direction of Robertson Funeral Director, Inc. of Clarendon. Survivors include three daughters, Chris Graves and Virginia Bagwell, both of Claude, and Kay Sam of Amarillo; one son, Ryland Phelps of Amarillo; two sisters, Melba Earl of Hereford and Lola Cook of Burkburnett; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Lois Spears, 74, died Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Borger. Services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday at Minton Memorial Chapel with Rev. Salem Shrrosh, associate pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will be in "The Garden of Devotion" at Westlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include one son, Mike Spears of Liberty, Texas; two brothers, Delbert Barron of Marble Falls and Buddy Barron of Hammon, La.; three sisters, Olive Aulds of San Antonio, Clovis Cameron of Bell Vista, Ark., and Pat Frith of Midland; step-daughter, Jean Thompson of Dell City and two grandchildren.

Roy M. Rea
Roy M. Rea, 88, died Monday, June 25, 2001, in Mayfair, Ohio. Services are pending with Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger. Survivors include his wife, Dot Rea, of the home; one son, Dr. Gary Rea of Columbus, Ohio, and three grandchildren.

Family committal will be in the Elmhurst Cemetery under the direction of Bunch-Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon. Survivors include her husband Johnny of the home; three children, Karen Rice of Borger, Jerry Johnson of Guymon and Judy Reinauer of Edmond, Okla.; one sister, Vella Lees of Oklahoma City; three brothers, Leon Montgomery of Fullerton, Calif., Earl Montgomery of Socorro, N.M., and Billy Montgomery of Las Vegas, Nev.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Elizabeth Ann Casida, 44, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2001, in Amarillo. Private services will be held at Westlawn Cemetery in Borger with Msgr. Norbert Keuhler of St. John’s Catholic Church officiating. Survivors include two sons, David Casida, Jr. of Canyon and Chad Casida of the home; her mother, Erminia Wiggs of Borger; two brothers, Jerry Scott of Dumas and Jack Wiggs, Jr. of Shallowater; six sisters, Mara Moseley of Bandera, Theresa Martin of Hobart, Okla., Joan Sibley, Cathy Turner and Diana Mathews, all of Amarillo, and Rosemary Walden of Borger; seven nieces; eight nephews; six great-nieces and three great-nephews.
