TUPELO - Graveside services for Hildy Holder will be held today at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery in Meridian, with the Rev. Bert Harper officiating. W.E. Pegues Funeral Directors is in charge of arrangements.
Ms. Holder, 26, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo. A native of Meridian, she lived in Tupelo for 24 years.
Survivors include her parents, Pam and George Holcomb of Tupelo and Steve and Tina Holder of Loxley, Ala.; three sisters, Stephanie Cryder and her husband, Carey, and Shannon Foster and her husband, Lance, all of Tupelo, and Stephanie Scruggs and her husband, Chad, of Memphis, Tenn.; five nieces and nephews, Lakyn and Carson Cryder, Alex Scruggs and Anderson and Hunter Foster.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, E.W. and Dot Holder and A.M. and Elizabeth Tidwell.

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Mae Pyrra will be held today at 2 p.m. at Coy United Methodist Church in Preston, with the Rev. John Branning officiating. Burial will be in Coy Cemetery with McClain-Hays Funeral Service in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Pyrra, 90, of Madison, Tenn., died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at Imperial Manor Nursing Home in Madison.
Survivors include two sisters, Bernice Frazier of Old Hickory, Tenn. and Bonnie Ray of Chattanooga, Tenn.; and a brother, J.D. Stokes of Louisville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley Pyrra.

BEATRICE COX KIDD

QUITMAN - Services for Beatrice Cox Kidd will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pine Hill Baptist Church, with the Rev. Warren Wargo officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Kidd, 88, of Beaumont, Texas, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at The Clairmont in Beaumont.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Hubbard of Beaumont; two sons, Charles K. Kidd and Stanley G. Kidd, both of Beaumont; two sisters, Inez Crisp of Canton, Ohio, and Emma Lou Watson of Enterprise; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

THOMAS J. ROBERTS

Services for Thomas J. Roberts will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Onslow Cemetery in Jacksonville, N.C.
Mr. Roberts, 70, of Meridian, died Friday, May 25, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Brenda Kay Hulbert of Clinton, N.C.; and a grandson, George W. Hulbert Jr. of Raleigh, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary McCoy Roberts.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

VELMA FERGUSON HOWARD

Graveside services for Velma Ferguson Howard will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Semmes Cemetery, with the Revs. Franklin Denham and Ron McGee officiating. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Howard, 89, of Meridian, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Benchmark Health Care.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Muzette Howard Chatham and husband, Bob, of Long Beach; two grandsons, Marc Chatham of Long Beach and David L. Chatham of Mobile, Ala.; and two great-grandchildren, Mason A. Chatham and Payton C. Chatham, both of Long Beach.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James Cleveland Howard.
Pallbearers will be Robert Corey, Alfred Corey, Lamar Smith, Stan Williams and Greer Goldman.
Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

BARBARA FARROW
Services were incomplete at Stephens Funeral Home for Barbara Farrow, 54, of Meridian, who died Friday, May 26, 2000, at the University Medical Center in Jackson.

PHILADELPHIA - Services for James O. Lee will be held today at 4 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Brown Barrier officiating. Military graveside burial will be in Henry's Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Lee, 72, of Philadelphia, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian.
Survivors include his wife, Ruby Joy Lee, four daughters, Vicky Burt, Pam McCoy, Kim Duke and Connie Brewer, two sons, James M. Lee and Jeff Lee, and a sister, Estelle Beard, all of Philadelphia; and 10 grandchildren.

GEORGE RONALD BURT
QUITMAN - Services for George Ronald Burt will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Wright's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Johnny Mosley officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Burt, 41, of Quitman, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, in Quitman.
Survivors include his mother, Ruth Burt of Quitman; four brothers, Raymond "Bud" Stewart of Arkadelphia, Ark., Billy Stewart of Quitman, Freddie Burt of Meridian and Ricky Burt of Pascagoula; four sisters, Betty Jordan of Quitman, Jackie Hyatt of Starks, La., Cathy Cooley of Pascagoula and Fredna Doggett of Waynesboro.

SIBYL S. MCDONALD

NEWTON - Services for Sibyl S. McDonald will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Charles Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Decatur Cemetery.
Mrs. McDonald, 85, of Newton, died Monday, Aug. 28, 2000, at Rest Haven Personal Care.
Survivors include a daughter, Janice Roane of Monroe, La.; three sons, Jerry May of Highlands Ranch, Colo., Kenneth Norman of Kleve, Germany, and Ronnie Norman of Newton.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

BETTY LOU CALVERT

Services for Betty Lou Calvert will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Stephens Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Dr. Kevin Jones officiating. Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.
Ms. Calvert, 77, of Meridian, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at The Speciality Hospital of Meridian. She was a lifelong resident of Kemper and Lauderdale counties. Ms. Calvert had resided in Meridian for the past 52 years, where she was a dedicated member of State Blvd. Baptist Church. She was employed as a secretary for East Mississippi State Hospital.
Survivors include her sister-in-law and several cousins.
The family requests memorials be made to State Boulevard. Baptist Church, The American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

JEWEL B. FARMER

Services for Jewel B. Farmer will be held Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Franklin Denham and Buddy Ables officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Farmer, 84, of Meridian, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at Broadmoor Health Care. She was a member of Highland Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Patsy Hearn and her husband, Larry, of Butler, Ala.; a son, Jerry Farmer and his wife, Cheryl, of Dalewood; two grandchildren, Debbie Cobb and Reneé Bailey and her husband, Scotty; two special friends, Era Jones and Maxine McAdory.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shelton Farmer, and a granddaughter, Phyllis Farmer.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

MAVIS ILLENE WHITE COUCH

Mrs. Couch, 75, of Holly Springs, died Friday, Aug. 25, 2000, at Baptist Memorial-Desoto.
Survivors include a son, Clifton Moore Jr. of Mississippi; a daughter, Sue Harris and her husband, David, of Saulsbery; a brother, W.F. White of Meridian; a sister, Truma Chatam of Meridian; and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, David Harold Moore.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

LORA JANE LUNDY RASH

Mrs. Rash, 91, of Lexington, died Friday, Feb. 25, 2000, in Lexington.
Survivors include one daughter, Faye Rash McNeer of Lexington; one son, Prentis Rash of Pearl; two sisters, Hattie Mae Pullin of Philadelphia and Annie Lou Smith of Jackson; two brothers, Covert Lundy of Jackson and R.L. Lundy of Union; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Levie D. Rash.

BESSIE M. FRAIZER

Mrs. Fraizer, 78, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include four daughters, Linda Farve, Gearldine Isaac, Gwen Willis and Marilyn Lewis, all of Philadelphia; one son, Raymond Fraizer of Philadelphia; one sister, Pauline Hickman of Oakland, Calif.; her foster child, Samuel Mingo of Philadelphia; one sister-in-law, Hazel Willis of Philadelphia; 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gaston Fraizer.

BERNICE ELIZABETH CARTER

PHILADELPHIA - Services for Bernice Elizabeth Carter will be held today at 2 p.m. at McClain-Hays Funeral Service Chapel, with the Rev. Rudy Covington officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter, 73, of Philadelphia, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, in her home.
Survivors include her husband, T.J. Carter and one daughter, Patsy Bryan, both of Philadelphia; one son, Jimmy Carter of Pearl; one sister, Bonnie Kate Pierce and one brother, Harston Conn, both of Philadelphia; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

JAMES F. SISTRUNK

Services for James F. Sistrunk will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Kevin Jones and Michael Boles officiating. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Philadelphia at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Sistrunk, 75, of Meridian, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Guardian Angel Hospice. He was employed with E.M.E.P.A. for 33 years. Mr. Sistrunk was a member of State Blvd. Baptist Church and the Fisher Sunday school class. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II. He and his wife, Jewell, have been married for 56 years last October 24.
Survivors include his wife, Jewell M. Sistrunk of Meridian; one son, Jamie M. Sistrunk and his wife, Nelda, of Collinsville; five grandchildren, Jessica and Matthew Sistrunk, Natalie, Jessica and Caleb Courvelle; one sister, Evelyn Johnson and her husband, Johnnie, of Philadelphia; one brother, Tommy Sistrunk and his wife, Marion; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his infant son, James Andrew Sistrunk; his parents, Ferman and Viva Sistrunk; one sister, Colteal Purvis; three brothers, Earl, Glidell and Derwood Sistrunk.
Pallbearers will be his nephews, David Myers, Tim Myers, Don Johnson, Bobbie Lee Johnson, Robert Earl Sistrunk and Mike Sistrunk.
Honorary pallbearers will be the member of the Fisher Sunday school class of State Boulevard Baptist Church.
Visitation will be today from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Cooper, 51, of York, died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include one sister, Linda Brazill of York; one aunt, Helen Chesser of Louisburg, W.V.; one uncle, Curley Alford of Ward; his mother-in-law, Doris Brown of York; one sister-in-law, Pamela Wooldridge and her husband, John, of York; two brothers-in-law, John Allen Mitchell Jr. and his wife, Faye, of Meridian, and Lary Mitchell and his wife, Sandra, of Prattville, Ala.; special friends, Michael and Cris Beard and Robert and Cleat; several special nieces and nephews, Cristie Brazill, Tony Mitchell, Bernie and Tracey Mitchell, Clark and Julie Mitchell, Britt and Janie Wooldridge and Mike and Libby Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane M. Cooper.
Pallbearers will be Michael Beard, Danny Simon, Everett Roberts, Glenn Strickland, Tom Webb and J.D. Goodwin.
Visitation will be today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
