RICHARD JOHN MILLER
Services for Richard Miller, 58, of Detroit were June 28 in Fisher Funeral Home, with burial at Parkview Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Barbara Welbaum from Newburg United Methodist Church.
Mr. Miller was born March 19, 1944, in Detroit and died June 24 at his home in Detroit.
Surviving are his children, Dorothy (Gary) Tieppo of Westland, Linda (Tom) Patterson, Aleise (Mike) Fair and Jeanie (Don) Alt; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Six brothers and sisters, and his companion, Kathy Steffan, also survive.
Memorial tributes may be made to Karmanos Cancer/Karmanos Hospice.

RUTH L. GRIFFITHS
A memorial service for Ruth Griffiths, 79, of Livonia will be held at a later date.
Mrs. Griffiths was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Detroit and died June 25 in Livonia. She was a switchboard operator for Stahl Manufacturing, retiring in 1988 after 25 years of service. She was a 1940 graduate of Cooley High School. She enjoyed playing bingo.
Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Clifford; son, Jeffrey Griffiths of Oakland, Calif.; daughters, Pam (David) Lange of Redford and Dianne Fazzio of Westland; brothers, Robert (Phyllis) Guntzviller of Redford and Warren (Gladys) Guntzviller of Mt. Clemens; sister, Thelma (Howard) Brown of New Port Richey, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Arrangements were made by Thayer-Rock Funeral Home, Farmington.

MARJORIE N. TSOUKALAS
Services for Marjorie Tsoukalas, 77, of Westland were June 29 in Harry J. Will Funeral Home with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland. Officiating was the Rev. Robert McDonald.
Mrs. Tsoukalas died June 26.
Surviving are her husband, George; sons, Gerald (Nancy), and Peter (June); daughters, Nancy (Lynn) Randolph and Diana Day; sister, Eileen (Donald) Hoose; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
There are family members who reside in the Livonia community.

HELEN ZAJDEL
Services for Helen Zajdel, 83, of Westland were June 26 in St. Thomas a' Becket Church with entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Southfield. Officiating was the Rev. C. Richard Kelly.
Mrs. Zajdel was born Aug. 30, 1918, in Detroit and died June 23 in Westland. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her daughter, Sharon (Raymond) Thomas; brothers, Edward Wojna and Donald Wojna; sisters, Mary Ann Burke and Sophie Bazner; five grandchildren, Holly Cox, Todd Holland, Shelly Fetzer, Scott Thomas and Tracy Edson; and four great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Zajdel was preceded in death by her husband, Frank, and daughter, Cynthia Holland.
Memorial tributes may be made to St. Luke Catholic Church.

DANNY WILLIAM CLAYDON
Services for Danny Claydon, 47, of Westland were June 29 in Uht Funeral Home.
Mr. Claydon was born Dec. 28, 1954, and died June 25 in Wayne.
Surviving are his son, Daniel Claydon; daughter, Kimberly Claydon; brother, Douglas (Shannon) Claydon; and sisters, Georgene Miles and Shirlene (Ray) Crysler.
Mr. Claydon was preceded in death by his brother, Jeffrey Claydon.

LORENA L. ROWE
Services for Lorena Rowe, 75, of Westland were June 27, with burial at Romulus Cemetery, Romulus.
Mrs. Rowe was born June 30, 1926, and died June 25 in Westland. She was a switchboard operator.
Surviving are her husband, Burleigh; son, Burleigh (Charm) Rowe II; daughters, Nan (Bill) Boyer and Kathy (Paul) Osborn; brother, Terry Tallmadge; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

BEATRICE WAGNER
Beatrice Wagner, 71, of Westland died June 20 in Southfield.
Mrs. Wagner was born Jan. 20, 1931, in Detroit. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons, John and Robert (Belinda).
Arrangements were made by L.J. Griffin Funeral Home.

BRUCE A. ROACH
Services for Bruce Roach, 49, of Belleville were June 25 in Vermeulen Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Bill Eosell.
Mr. Roach was born Oct. 7, 1952, in Ypsilanti and died June 21 in Wayne. He was employed doing auto body repair and painting. He was a member of Plymouth Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
Surviving are his wife, Sandra; son, Bruce Roach Jr.; daughters, Stacie Roach, Christina Roach and Samantha Roach; parents, Robert "Scotty" and Betty Roach; brothers, Robert Roach of Wayne, Victor (Kimberly) Roach of Westland and Aaron Roach of Westland; sister, Kathy (Bug) Brunty of Westland; and three grandchildren.

LINDA S. ZIRKLE-PAILLON
Services for former Garden City resident Linda Zirkle-Paillon, 53, of Westland were June 22 in R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. David Owen from Ward Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Zirkle-Paillon was born Nov. 2, 1948, in Grosse Pointe, and died June 19 in Westland. She had been a Westland resident six years. She was self-employed in a child care center. She was a graduate of Garden City East High School. Mrs. Zirkle-Paillon enjoyed taking care of children, planting flowers and photography.
Surviving are her husband, Norman; mother, Bonnie Zirkle; brother, Lary (Noreen) Zirkle; stepchildren, Kimberlee, Angelique and Norman Paillon; and nephews, Timothy, Brandon and Brian Zirkle.
Memorial tributes may be made to American Cancer Society or Community Hospice.

LAWRENCE HOWARD EBELING
Services for Lawrence Ebeling, 44, of Westland will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 28, in Heeney-Sundquist Funeral Home, 23720 Farmington Road, Farmington, with burial at Glen Eden Memorial Park in Livonia. Officiating will be the Rev. Gary Headapohl. Visitation is 2-9 p.m. today, Thursday, June 27, in the funeral home.
Mr. Ebeling was born Nov. 10, 1957, in Detroit and died June 24 in Westland. He was a manufacturer's representative in the automotive industry.
Surviving are his son, Michael Ebeling of Westland; daughter, Kimberly Ebeling of Westland; mother, Barbara Ebeling of Wixom; sister, Catherine Ramsey; nephews, Don, David and Douglas; and niece, Jennifer.
Mr. Eveling was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ebeling, and grandparents, Elsie and Howard Storm.

ROY ALLEN LOHN
Private services for former Livonia resident Roy Lohn, 62, of Westland were recently. Arrangements were made by R.G. & G.R. Harris Funeral Home, Livonia.
Mr. Lohn was born Sept. 14, 1939, in Livonia, and died May 21 at his home in Westland. He grew up in Livonia. He graduated from Livonia Bentley High School and attended Schoolcraft College.
Mr. Lohn worked at GM Hydramatic at Willow Run. He was a veteran, serving with the Navy.
Surviving are his children, Michael (Debbie) of Westland, Deborah (Michael) of Livonia and Linda Lohn of Westland; the children's mother, Colleen; brothers, Russell and Ronald; and five grandchildren, Megan, Alex, Owen, Lauren and Aidan.
Mr. Lohn was preceded in death by his brothers, Ralph and Robbin.

ROSEMARY A. JENKINS
Services for Rosemary Jenkins, 42, of Westland were June 21 in John N. Santeiu & Son Funeral Home with burial at Parkview Memorial Cemetery, Livonia. Officiating was the Rev. Leo F. Sabourin.
Mrs. Jenkins was born March 22, 1960, in Detroit, and died June 18 in Garden City. She was a teller.
Surviving are her husband, David; father, Albert Seychel; brothers, Joseph Seychel, Albert Seychel, Charles Seychel and Frances Turner; and sister, Margaret Seychel.

DONALD W. HILL
Services for former Westland resident Donald Hill, 62, of Canton Township were June 22 in L.J. Griffin Funeral Home, Westland.
Mr. Hill was born Jan. 25, 1940, in Detroit, and died June 19 in Garden City. He was a truck driver for a food distribution company.
Surviving are his wife, Judith; sons, Michael and Spencer; stepsons, Brian Teneyck, Lee (Ann) Teneyck and Jay Teneyck; and nine grandchildren.

PHILLIP W. WHITE
Services for Phillip White, 62, of Westland were June 17 in St. Mary Catholic Church. Officiating was the Rev. Jack H. Baker.
Mr. White was born Jan. 28, 1940, in Cambridge, Mass., and died June 13 in Westland. He was an electrician. He was a veteran, serving in the U.S. Air Force.
Surviving are his wife, Laurel; sons, Daren (Nancy) White of Canton and Duane (Theresa) White of Canton; daughters, Gina (Lou) Toarmina of Westland and Laurie (Peter) Toarmina of Saline; siblings, Joan (Bob) Luecht, Dale White, Janice Heap, Patricia Broderick, Thomas White and Hal (Ruth) White; and 10 grandchildren.

AGNES M. GIGUERE
Services for Agnes Giguere, 78, of Westland were June 18 in Grace Moravian Church, Westland, with burial at St. Hedwig Cemetery, Dearborn Heights. Officiating was the Rev. James Roberts.
Mrs. Giguere was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Detroit and died June 16 in Garden City. She was a retired custodian at a high school.
Surviving are her daughters, Nanette (Dennis) Richardson and Ginette Adams; five grandchildren, Jeff (Maria) Richardson, Ron (Stacy) Richardson, Scott (Stacey) Adams, Brian (Emily) Adams and Kevin (Sonya) Adams; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Giguere was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph.

SHARON MCKEE
Services for Sharon McKee, 61, of Westland were May 30 in Schrader-Howell Funeral Home, Plymouth. Officiating was the Rev. Dan Perry.
Mrs. McKee was born Dec. 17, 1941, in Detroit and died May 26 in Wayne. She came to the Westland community in 1970 from Plymouth. She was a retired bank teller at Wayne Out-Teachers Credit Union. She was a graduate of Plymouth High School.
Surviving are her husband, Arthur; children, Gary (Theresa) Strehl Jr. of Garden City and Christopher (Cynthia) Strehl of Commerce; parents, Dorothy and David Cell of Westland; brothers, Richard Cell of Houston, Texas, John Cell of Chicago, Ill., and David (Betty Ann) Cell II of Tampa, Fla.; and nine grandchildren, Trisha (Dave), Gary III, Andrea, James, Jessica, Christopher II, Jermey, Paige and Darine.
Mrs. McKee was preceded in death by her daughter, Katrina.

BETTY-JOY GILLETTE

Mrs. Gillette was born Jan. 16, 1924, in Omaha, Neb., and died May 25 in Detroit. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her children, Merry-Jean (Edward) Harshman, Terri Gillette, Charles (Rosie) Gillette, Peggy (Bill) Davies and Carol (Bill) Holmes; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gillette was preceded in death by her husband, William.

MAHLON LYNUS ROUNSIFER
Services for Mahlon Rounsifer, 62, of Westland were May 25 in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton. Officiating was the Rev. William Lindholm.
Mr. Rounsifer was born March 22, 1940, and died May 22 in Westland. He was a maintenance employee.
Surviving are his wife, Yvonne; children, Timothy (Monique), Aaron (Susan) and Kay (Mark) Hockenberry; brother, Tom Rounsifer; sister, Marge Hintz of Belleville; and three grandchildren, Miranda, Neil and Nathan.
Mr. Rounsifer was preceded in death by his brothers, John Rounsifer and Donald Rounsifer, and grandsons, Bradley Rounsifer and James Rounsifer.

ETHEL B. PHIPPS
Services for Ether Phipps, 69, of Westland were May 28 in Vermeulen Funeral Home, Plymouth Township, with burial at Cadillac Memorial Gardens West, Westland. Officiating was the Rev. Edward Dunford.
Mrs. Phipps was born April 25, 1933, in Bluefield, W.Va., and died May 24 in Westland. She was a homemaker.
Surviving are her sons, Roger Phipps of Wayne and James Phipps of Wayne.

DOROTHEA E. FINFROCK
Services for Dorothea Finfrock, 78, of Westland were June 13 in Vermeulen Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Leonard Partensky.
Mrs. Finfrock was born Sept. 1, 1923, in Westland, and died June 9 in Livonia.
She was an elementary school teacher who formerly worked in the Wayne-Westland school district. She also served on the Westland Commission on Aging, the Westland Historical Commission, the Ladies Auxiliary of Harris-Kehrer VFW Post 3323, and the Friends of the Museum.
Surviving are her son, Dennis Finfrock of Westland; daughter, Valerie (Gary) Wilson of Canton; sisters, Bernadette Carrico of Wixom, Theresa Lally of Westland, Marian Greenfield of Westland and Patricia Loritz of Alpena; and four grandchildren, Melissa, Stevan Finfrock, Kevin and Anna Wilson.
Mrs. Finfrock was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, and son Charles.

GEORGE C. OPACHICK
Services for George Opachick, 75, of Westland were June 14 in the Chapel of Oakland Hills Memorial Gardens, Novi.
Mr. Opachick was born July 12, 1926, in Mountsville, W.Va., and died June 11 in Wayne.
Surviving are his sons, William (Lorna), Michael and Jeffrey (Sandra); one brother; two sisters; six grandchildren, Nicholas, Dawn, Leia, Loren, Rachel and Shane; and one great-grandchild, Cortney.
Arrangements were made by Fisher Funeral Home.

ARCHIE PERRY DOBBS
Services for Archie Dobbs, 60, of Garden City were June 7 in Uht Funeral Home with burial at Glenwood Cemetery in Wayne. Officiating was the Rev. Patrick Lowery.
Mr. Dobbs was born Oct. 5, 1941, and died June 3 in Livonia. He was a custodian.
Surviving are his sisters, Stella Lack and Darlene (Eugene) Stec of Livonia; several nieces and nephews; and many great-nieces and nephews.
There are family members who reside in Westland.
Mr. Dobbs was preceded in death by his sister, Amylee Lack.

WILLIAM C. BOESS
Services for William Boess, 87, of Westland were June 11 in L.J. Griffin Funeral Home with burial at Oakland Hills Memorial Park, Novi. Officiating was the Rev. Wallace Eason from Bible Missionary Church in Lima, Ohio.
Mr. Boess was born Oct. 18, 1914, in Canada and died June 7 in Garden City. He was a buyer for a tractor company.
Mr. Boess is survived by his wife, Priscilla.

BILLIE LOU HOLT
Services for Billie Holt, 79, of Westland were June 10 in Uht Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Rob Joy.
Mrs. Holt was born Feb. 15, 1923, and died June 7 in Ann Arbor due to an accident. She held a secretCourier position for several City of Westland offices.
Surviving are her husband, Fred Jr.; sons, William "Bill" (Valerie) Holt and Thomas Holt; daughter, Pamela Holt; sister, Marjorie McGregor; and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Holt was preceded in death by her brother, James Maylen.
