Charlotte T. 'Charlie' Hansen
Charlotte T. “Charlie” Hansen of Eagle River and Union Grove died Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at Aspirus Lillian Kerr Healthcare Center in Phelps. She was 88.
Mrs. Hansen was born April 23, 1919, in Germany, the daughter of Eric and Therese (nee Pespka) Square.
Her family moved to the United States when she was 4 years old and settled in Racine where she graduated from Racine Park High School in 1937.
Charlotte married Peter Hansen June 14, 1941. They lived in Raymond Center and moved to Union Grove in 1954.
Her hobbies included reading, growing roses and bowling.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in 1995; a son, Peter Jr.; a daughter, Rosalie Enders; and a brother- and sister-in-law, Arthur and Isabelle Square.
Survivors include five daughters, Susanne (Clifford) Erickson and Judy (Steve) Magnuson, both of Eagle River, Lucy (Reed) Farrell of Conover, Andrea (Matt) Koreen of White Bear Lake, Minn., and Georgene (Ed Linden) Studey of Sturtevant; two sons, James (Bonnie) Hansen of Eagle and David (Marye Jo) Hansen of Sturtevant; 20 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held July 20 at Polnasek-Daniels Funeral Home in Union Grove with Rev. Manda Stack officiating.
Burial was held July 21 in Union Grove Cemetery.

Vickie Elaine Vice
Vickie Elaine Vice of Sandy Springs, Ga., died Monday, July 23, 2007, at her home. She was 45.
Ms. Vice was born June 3, 1962, in Kansas, the daughter of Donald Vice and Shirley Carmichael.
After graduating from Sprayberry High School, she was employed at International Visa Services of Sandy Springs.
Her hobbies included craft work.
Survivors include a daughter, Melissa Hallett of Eagle River; two sons, Mark Hallett Jr. of Eagle River and Cody Booth of Temple, Ga.; two brothers, Greg Vice and David Vice; two sisters, Linda (David) Simons and Diane Marting; and one grandson.
A funeral service was held July 26 at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.

Laura B. Lynch
Laura B. Lynch of Appleton died Monday, July 30, 2007, at her home. She was 74.
Mrs. Lynch was born Nov. 17, 1932, in Menomonie, the daughter of Harvey and Laura (nee Douglas) Edwards.
She attended high school in Menomonie and moved to Appleton in 1950.
In 1968, she married Frank Lynch.
She worked as office manager at Haviland Hearing Aids in Appleton for 32 years and taught holiday workshop classes at the Appleton vocational school.
Mrs. Lynch was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Appleton.
Her hobbies included gardening and she was skilled at interior decoration and design.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Zella Lighter of Bowie, Md.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Melia (Scott) Yankus of Tomahawk and Kathleen (Ken) Kaufman of Oconomowoc; five sons, Michael Lynch of Green Bay, Terry Lynch of Mill Valley, Calif., Dale (Brenda) Reppert of Tomahawk, Scott (Mary) Reppert of Eagle River and Mark Reppert of Franklin; a brother-in-law, John Lighter of Bowie, Md.; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, Aug. 2, at 6 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church in Appleton with the Rev. Kurt Kovanen officiating. Visitation will precede the service beginning at 4 p.m. at the church.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Park in Appleton.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Gordon Bubolz Nature Preserve.

Brian Thomas Etheredge
Brian Thomas Etheredge, 46, of Three Lakes, formerly of Aurora, Ill., died Oct. 31 in an automobile accident while on a hunting trip in Three Lakes. He was born Feb. 9, 1961, in Chicago, Ill. He was the son of Dr. Forest D. and Joan (nee Horan) Etheredge. Brian graduated from West Aurora High School in 1979. He graduated from Waubonsee Community College and attended St. Joseph’s College in Indiana and Northern Illinois University.
Brian worked as an assistant curator at the Illinois State Museum in Springfield, Ill., for 10 years...

Bernice M. Lalley
Bernice M. Lalley of Elgin, Ill., died Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2007, at Rosewood Care Center in Elgin. She was 87.
Mrs. Lalley was born Feb. 23, 1920, in Elgin, the daughter of Bernard and Ann (nee Berna) Heimann.
She worked in the food services area for School District U-46 for many years before her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Harold Lalley, June 14, 2007.
Survivors include a daughter, Kay (James) Prigge of St. Germain; a son, Michael (Patricia) Wirsing of Crystal Lake, Ill.; five grandchildren...

Barbara Jean Rinne
Barbara Jean Rinne, age 84, of Eagle River died Saturday, Nov. 3, 2007, at Aspirus Lillian Kerr Healthcare Center Inc. in Phelps.
She was born April 12, 1923, in Junction City, the daughter of Nelson and Hazel (nee Harford) Wedlock.
Barbara was raised and attended schools in Waukesha. She was employed as a secretary at First Baptist Church in Waukesha.
Barbara was married to Jerry “Sarge” Rinne. After retiring, they moved to Sugar Camp. Jerry preceded her in death Oct. 18, 1997. After his death, Barbara moved to Eagle River.

Mary E. Klem
Mary E. (nee Hanamann) Klem, age 95, a resident of Three Lakes, Wis., passed away on Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007.
Beloved wife of the late Victor Klem.
Loving aunt of Elizabeth Bratz, John M. Hanamann Jr., Margaret M. Powers, Shirley A. Elkendier, Joseph M. Hanamann, Peter Hanamann, Lynn Johnson, Delores Meyer, Charles Timm, Erica Timm, John Timm, Lynne Mueller (Klem) and John Klem.
Loving cousin of Donald Siegfried and Walter Siegfried. Survived by other relatives and friends.
Mary was a retired telephone company employee of 39 years...

Erma C. 'Maggie' Becker
Erma C. “Maggie” Becker of West Allis died Friday, Dec. 21, 2007. She was 84.
Mrs. Becker was born Nov. 11, 1923.
A former resident of Eagle River, she was the sunshine lady for Muskellunge Lake Association in Eagle River. She also was a member of the Blessed Savior Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde “Sam” Becker.
Survivors include a daughter, Trisha (Rick) Urbanski; a son, Bill; two grandchildren; and one step-granddaughter. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.

Ila L. Dorfman Lustig
Ila L. (nee Dorfman) Lustig of Northfield, Ill., died Monday, Dec. 17, 2007, at Glenbrook Hospital in Glenview, Ill. She was 68.
She was born Oct. 20, 1939, in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of the late William and Faye Dorfman.
A former resident of Eagle River for many years, Ila was a camp counselor at the family-owned Tecumseh Lodge Boys Camp in Eagle River where she taught water-skiing and horseback riding.
She also studied art at College of Ray Vogue, a commercial art studio. Later, she wrote and illustrated “BoBo and Susie"...
